    Matthew Brown did our inspection and he was phenomenal! From start to finish, even before the actual inspection, he took time to answer questions and address our concerns. He was punctual, incredibly polite, and extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Our realtor was impressed by how detailed his report was, leaving nothing unaddressed. He took additional time to show us things during the inspection that we had questions about, even topics unrelated to the inspection (like how a double sump pump system works or why a double roof will wear faster than single roof).He did not rush through anything and was incredibly patient with us, even with two young boys running around.     I booked a residential home inspection of 2270 sqft in Powell, Ohio. The inspector name is Brandon Miller and he came on time and did the inspection as per schedule. The report was provided with in 24 hrs and is very detail and things that would not catch a normal person attention are clearly mentioned in it. I was shocked to see that the builder(quite famous) missed Insulation in the attic and vent outlet in the laundry room. The construction manager said it probably could have been a miss or a mistake but to me its a clear blunder. I can only imagine the utility bill I had to pay if this was not identified phew!!. Hiring a home inspector is worth every dollar. The pricing is very reasonable when compared to other inspectors. Glad I hired them to do my home inspection. I Strongly recommend for your residential home.

    I took a home buying class that had instructor to explain that its is very important to get in a inspection on any home or house that you are buying.     Greg was absolutely fantastic. He explained everything he saw clearly and in great detail. He also gave us many maintenance tips to make our home and the appliances in it work more efficiently and last longer. He offered to put us in contact with certified, fully vetted contractors, should we need to remedy any issues found during our inspection. And happily made himself available for follow up questions. If I could give him ten stars I would.

    From beginning to end, including the scheduling process, communication, the actual inspection, & the incredibly helpful/detailed inspection report, my wife and I were thoroughly impressed with this company. Specifically, we had Matt Brown, who was able to inspect both houses we were in contract with during our home buying experience. The first one did not go well as far as the actual house problems, but Matt was so transparent, yet unbiased, and professional throughout the entire inspection. We loved how detailed the inspection report, even going so far as to give diagrams and pictures detailing how something should be. We really enjoyed our inspection times with Matt, and felt very comfortable and able to ask as many dumb questions as we had pop in our minds.     I was recommended to the HC inspection team by my realtor. I ended up choosing the 4 inspections package for my new build construction. The team provides me with an inspection report within 48 hours or LESS than their inspection. This has been SO HELPFUL since the builder hates being held up with their construction schedule.Inspection reports are thorough and includes pictures with the comments. There are also hyperlinks with educational information in case you are not too familiar with building codes/methods.Great company!

    Im buyer. The home inspector is Matthew Brown. He has done a very good job. He found chiemeny issue. So I requested a chimney inspector later and he also found it was very serious.     Greg did the inspection on my home and the service level was fantastic! I arranged a home inspection, termite inspection, and a radon test. He was already at the property when I showed up and had throughly inspected the home so it was a simple walk through and informational inspection.     I hired Home & Commercial Inspections to perform a home inspection that included additional tests such as radon, gas, and mold. The reason I chose H&CI over other competitors, or even my realtors recommended home inspectors is that theyre a local business and their inspectors had significantly more verifiable certifications beyond ASHI suggesting that they could provide additional input in areas that may not be covered under ASHI. All the employees also seemed to have extensive background knowledge in construction or general contracting.Greg Turner was dispatched as the primary inspector I got to work with. Greg was exceptionally professional and arrived 10-15 minutes ahead of me to begin the inspection process. He walked me through each step of the process such as appliance testing, water/drain testing, electrical outlets, structural (exterior/interior), etc. Hiring H&CI and working with Greg felt far more akin to working with a life coach as he took many moments to explain various systems in the property, how they worked, their significance to the overall state of the property, and even provided guidance on areas of improvement. James later showed up to perform a mold test, which was relatively quick. Its apparent though how the two were able to interact as colleagues that its a great company to work for, and that they value each other and their clients time.After the inspection, I received a highly detailed inspection report the same day that included all of the documented details including photos, cliff notes, and recommended repairs that I can use moving forward with the home. I cant speak highly enough about the services provided, and would highly recommend them to anyone seeking professional home inspections.

    Weve used these guys twice now, and both times the inspectors (Matt and Tony) both did a thorough job, while giving very good practical advice for remedying issues. The reports are incredibly detailed, however Id recommend that you always meet with your inspector near the end of inspection so they can show you around. Tony literally walked us through the entire property and only missed a couple things that were in his report. However, it was easy enough to send him an email afterward with any questions.
