I highly recommend using Jim if you are having any issues with mold in your home. He has been extremely responsive before, during, and after the issue was addressed and always made himself available to answer any questions that I had. My wife and I recently ran into one of the biggest scares we have encountered as home owners. Upon returning from a vacation, we found mold growing inside our house. We immediately jumped to the worse possible scenarios - thinking we were going to have to go through extreme measures in order to remedy the problem. We called Jim the very next morning, and Jim was at our doorstep in 30min!!!! When he arrived, he went right to work. He began collecting data via hydrometer, FLIR, Visual inspections and pictures, and air and tape samples. He went through every room in the house, and even our attic. He examined our HVAC, bathrooms and plumbing, and most importantly- our bedding. He noticed anomalies in our bathroom and HVAC. He noted that the humidity in our home was EXTREMELY above normal percentages, and mentioned that the fact that we were gone on vacation, leaving a hot, dark, damp, undisturbed home was the perfect storm that resulted in our problem. Upon visual inspections of the mold, he was accurate (confirmed after receiving the mold lab test) about the type of mold that we were dealing with. Jim gave proper remedial solutions for us, and an in-depth report. We highly recommend him to anyone for their needs. We will definitely be using him and Centex again fin the future for any of our needs.

I had mold develop inside my fireplace when the chimney leaked following heavy rains. Jim from Centex came out soon after I called and traced the problem to a faulty chimney cap, and recommended replacement. Best of all, with no further testing necessary, I wasnt charged for the inspection. I know time and gas arent free, so that kind of professionalism is very much appreciated. Recommended!

I recently found mold in one of my vents and quickly realized that the problem extended to both of my AC systems + Ducts. I have 2 young children so I wanted to get the mold tested and cleaned as quickly as possible. What I soon realized was that many of the vendors in this space seem to use fear and scare tactics to try and get customers to move quickly before everyone gets sick!!! Most vendors were all quick to make aggressive recommendations without running any tests and then send over quotes ranging from $10K-$25K.The best move I made in this entire process was calling Centex out to inspect the issue. Jim not only tested all of the mold so we knew what we were dealing with, but he also acted as an unbiased 3rd party expert/advisor and gave me guidance on exactly what I really needed to do to take care of the problem. In the end, I know that Jims advice saved me $10-$15K in unneeded repairs.The first time I called Centex it was 8pm in the evening and Jim actually answered the phone himself. I was very impressed with his approach and the amount of time he spent really listening to my problem. I highly recommend Centex and Jim to anyone going through a similar issue.

Been having trouble breathing for some time after floods ruined my air conditioner which is under my house. Dirty sock smell was being blown at us every time the air clicked on. Centex came out and did an indoor and outdoor air sample and swabbed a spot where we had water leaking. When the results came back and confirmed the worst I just saw dollar signs. Rather than just pass me off to remediation, we talked on the phone about ALL my options. Even ones I could do myself and save lots of money.Dealing with mold is like going to the doctor. You probably have something wrong but youre too scared to find out. Dont he afraid! Call centex. Ignorance is NOT bliss when you and your family cant breathe clean air.
