I used the Burgess Inspection Group for home inspections twice this month. I found them to be highly professional. They have a lot of experience and know the latest construction codes very well. Both times, the inspectors showed up a little early or on time and were very thorough with their work. The first inspection was performed by Cory Woodward, and the second inspection at a different site was by Randy Whittington. They were both great. Easy to work with and very thorough. Burgess also has some of the better home inspection rates in the area. Would use them again without hesitation. Well done!

This was our second inspection to have performed. (We opted out of the first home.) We used a different inspection company and are SOOO GLAD we switched to Burgess (Spencer Johns.) The scheduling phone call with Colleen was just the start of their A+ customer service. She bumped us up sooner when she had a cancellation. The inspector, Spencer, was incredibly thorough with his findings. His video was perfect for us to watch since were still several states away and in the middle of moving. After watching it, he spent time on the phone with us in the middle of his Saturday going over our specific questions. Spencer went above and beyond with his inspection and explained what it all means now and what it could mean for the future. Burgess provided a great experience and the peace of mind that in knowing exactly what were purchasing.

This is the easiest 5 star rating Ive ever had to give! Burgess Inspection Group was amazing to work throughout the entire end to end home inspection process. We had to get a home inspection done very last minute and they were able to accommodate an appointment within 24 hours! Our inspector, Gavin, was absolutely incredible. He was very professional, clearly really experienced and knowledgeable, and unbelievably thorough. His attention to detail was the best Ive ever seen (and this isnt the first time weve done a home inspection). I received our inspection report at the end of the day (as promised) and, not surprisingly, it was extremely detailed with clear explanations and tons of pictures along with a video presentation of findings. Then to top it off, their office called me because they saw that my card had accidently been charged twice - I didnt even notice this myself! I cannot recommend Burgess (and Gavin!) enough!

As a realtor, this was my first experience with Burgess Inspection Group, Inc. Cory, our inspector, was amazing! He was professional, knowledgable and organized. He took the time to go over each and every item, while also giving my buyers perspective on which items were most important to focus on. We received a digital report, extensive photos, and a recording of the inspector going over each item with my buyer. Sometimes inspections can feel overwhelming, especially to first time homebuyers, but Cory was great about explaining things in a way that was thorough yet didnt frighten my buyers. The process was easy to pay and review the summary together. We really like the video we received as follow up so we or our realtor could review afterward. This was my first time going through the process of buying a house, and it was a little overwhelming at times. My wife and I used Burgess to inspect the house that we put an offer on. The entire Burgess team was fantastic from start to finish. When I called to schedule an appointment, they were able to have an inspector come out the next day. Bruce was my inspector, and he was extremely thorough. When he was summarizing what he found, he took plenty of time to explain everything clearly and answer any questions that we had. He also went out of his way to give me his card and told me to call him if I had any follow-up questions after the more specific inspections were completed. The recommendations that Bruce made ended up getting us a good amount of concessions from the seller. Since his report was so thorough, I now also have a list of the smaller repairs that I can handle myself before or after we move in. The Burgess team took great care of my wife and I, and I cant recommend them highly enough!

He did an incredible job making me feel at ease when this is the first house I have gone through the process of buying. Mr Walid Allan was extremely thorough, and his report was exceptionally well organized. If/when you meet in person after the inspection, there is a slideshow of pictures and he explains them all in great detail. If you cannot meet in person, the slideshow is screen-recorded along with his spoken comments and then you get the whole presentation via link to a youtube video. We have worked with inspectors in other states before so its obvious hes a consummate professional. He really went above and beyond and we couldnt have asked for better service from Burgess.

I chose Burgess Inspection Group from a list of vendors from our real estate agent. We needed a condo inspected prior to buying. The inspection was scheduled for 2 p.m. on a Tuesday. The inspector Walid arrived at 1: 40 p.m. and started his inspection. He took time to answer our questions and addressed our concerns with certain matters with the inspection. He was very thorough in his report, took photos along with the description of inspected items. He was prompt in getting the report to us and our agent. I would definitely use Burgess Inspection Group again. Cindy was one of the office staff I spoke with in scheduling and handling payment. She was very nice and helpful on the call.

My experience with Burgess was excellent. Walid Allan conducted the inspection for us, and was extremely knowledgeable, professional and personable. Walids inspection work was very thorough. Results were clearly communicated both on-site after the inspection, as well as in the report provided to us by him on the evening of the same day. He readily answered questions we had and made himself available for follow-up.We did follow up, but through Burgess to request Walid to conduct a second inspection for us, this time of our the house we owned and were preparing to rent. That second report was also very detailed, and once again, was very well communicated to us by Walid. I told him I was expecting a carpet company and a painter to meet me here. Cory told me that he had been here since 11:00 am, his appointment was for 2:00pm. Cory the explained that he did not mind staying till the representative from the companies showed up. The companies both showed up. The carpet person was on time at 2:00pm.The painter called and explained that he was running behind and he would be a little late. Furthermore, I arrived at the half way mark of the 4-hour inspection to participate in the inspection and found Randell respectfully wearing a Mask – in leu of COV19. Immediately, Randell let me know about the most concerning items he found thus far concerning gas-furnace safety. After the quick update , Randell got back to work diligently. After he finished, he provided a complete overview of every item found, answered all questions concerning the items, and answered additional items that was a concern of mine as a new home owner. Honestly, as a first time home owner I was put at ease with him teaching me about the inner workings of my new home, utilities, appliances, and construction. The inspector, Mr. Allen was very thorough. I received a written report, over 200 photographs and a link to a video. It was because of the thoroughness of this inspector that I was able to make an informed decision to withdraw my offer on this home. If he had not done the inspection I would unknowingly be walking into a purchase with multiple repairs needed. I highly recommend this company!

We have used Val from Burgess Inspection Group now twice in the last couple of months: first deal fell through because house was in worse shape than we expected, and I just got back from the second inspection today on a house Im pretty sure were going to end up buying. Val is THOROUGH. Every chipped electrical face plate, every crack in the caulking, gets inventoried. But so do the really important things like the antique electrical panel, evidence of (old) termite damage in the garage, and the fact that the vent for the cooktop doesnt seem to go... anywhere. (Must go into the space between two walls because its not going into attic nor to the outside.) Inspection took over three hours and THEN he stayed with us for another hour and went over everything in detail. He also helped us get a sense of whats serious, whats less serious, and whats trivial. Yeah, he notes a lot of problems that arent fatal but as a buyer, Id rather have too much info than too little. We asked for Val because we were so impressed with the job he did last time. And Id ask for him again if (God forbid) this deal falls through. Highly recommended.

The Burgess Inspection Group (specifically, Spencer Johns) conducted a home inspection of a house I am buying in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The inspection also included a termite inspection and a gas leak inspection. Due to Spencer pointing out concerns about hail damage on the shingles (with photos demonstrating his concerns), I advised the owners that I needed a certification from a licensed roofer stating that the roof was in good condition, or that repairs to the damaged shingles was required (in order for the home sale to move forward).The owners had a insurance adjuster come out to inspect the shingles the day the roofing certification condition was formalized. Our Realtor told us the adjuster informed the sellers the roof needed to be partially, or completely, replaced due to the extent of the hail damage to the shingles. This one finding saved me tens of thousands of dollars and ongoing problems in the future.Spencer also advised us that one AC unit was not producing enough cold air. The HVAC inspector later determined the unit had a freon leak. The repair and recharge cost over $1000. Spencer has saved me a second time!I strongly recommend the Burgess Inspection Group (specifically, Spencer Johns). They saved me a lot of money and saved me from ongoing headaches.
