Look no further - Allen is the best!!! When looking for an inspector, I searched on Google for those with great reviews. The first few inspectors I called either sent me to voicemail with a full inbox or an automated system, where I had to go through a bunch of prompts before speaking with someone who wasn’t going to be my actual inspector. I called Allen and he picked up the phone right away. He told me about his background in remodeling homes (so he knows what to look for) and his familiarly with homes on the island, as he has lived here for many years. He took a lot of time to talk with me and was incredibly kind and articulate. What sold me was when he told me he’s on my team and that he’d be my inspector for life (ie if I needed any repairs looked at, he’d do that). At the first home he inspected for me, he did a very thorough job and called me that evening to explain EVERYTHING he found, good and bad. He was super honest with me and helped me understand what I should be worried about and what I didn’t need to worry about as much. I was able to be there in-person during the second home he inspected, and he walked me through the whole process. He really spends his time in each home and isn’t in any rush. His prices are less than others too! I really trust Allen and know that if I needed anything, I could call him. He’s more than an inspector, but my first friend on the island!

We’ve had dozens of inspections over our last 25 years of house buying, but we’ve never met anyone as thorough and Allen at AM Home Inspections! We had our home pre-inspected prior to placing on the market, which I’d highly recommend. He combed through every crawl space, knee wall, walked the entire roof, and went above and beyond what any other inspector has ever done. Months later when we had a potential buyer, with our permission, he spent a considerable amount of time reviewing the inspection a second time with a potential buyer and realtor at no additional charge! His passion and dedication to his clients to provide accurate and thorough information was visible in every aspect! We will be using Allen for all inspections moving forward!

Easy 5 stars for AM. If you have seen his pictures he crawls and finds his way into the smallest spots and comes out covered in spider webs, bugs, and who knows what else. Ive seen him wade into pools and ponds to inspect and fix pump mechanics, climb on top of houses, through them, and under them.. Even fixed some easy stuff on the spot.Conidering how difficult and downright scary some of tasks must be, Its pretty cool to see how much Allen loves his work, doesnt cut any corners, and thrives on making everyone happy..No brainer here. 5 stars.
