I just had a great experience with Top Gun - we had AC failures and we needed two heat pumps ASAP. Scott was great and worked with our limited budget until we settled on two high SEER units that qualify for the fed tax credit. Their communication appears to be above average, and Scott answered all of my pre-install questions late at night when I sent them.The installation team was great and eventually figured out how to use our existing Ecobee thermostats with the heat pumps. They came on time, were very professional and cleaned up the house and yard. Kevin and Manual explained things well when we had a lot of questions.A big thank you goes out to Kevin and his team: Jesse, Manual, Saleh, and Nemo. What a pleasure it was to find such a customer friendly company when every dollar counts for a retired person on fixed income. We are very happy they have a six-month periodic follow-up service program.

The technicians who came out and worked on my A/C unit were great Kevin and his teammate which I can’t remember his name they were excellent. They did a great job. They were very friendly and even put up with all my questions and talking that I done, all the while they work to get the job done. I would highly recommend them to anybody. The name Top Gun was well earned. They showed up on time, 5 young men hit the ground running. They each knew their job and went to work. I was having a total removal and reinstall, so basically every thing new plus new blow in insolation. If you have seen the movie Top Gun and remember when like 5 migs are rotating around our F14 to try to get a shot, that’s what it looked like. I found it hard to believe with so much to do it would be installed and running in one day but it was. No complaints what do ever.

Everyone at Top Gun was so friendly and explained everything. I ordered one system and changed my mind and ordered a different system before it was time for installation. They had no problem with changing it. The installers came out in just a few days and worked hard and were very friendly. They did an excellent job. It is performing wonderfully and is very quiet. We got the platinum variable speed because we are older and wanted one that will be very good and last a long time. American Standard has a great warranty on parts and Top Gun have a warranty that you can get that also covers labor. David, the salesman, that came to our house knew all about products and how everything worked. We are so glad we chose Top Gun Heat and Air in Keller, Texas. Thanks to everyone there.

I went ahead and gave them 5 stars because from the install of the new unit to the duct cleaning was pretty smooth process. The office staff was always kind and respectful as were the installers and duct cleaners. The only complaint I have is when they were creating new wood flooring for the unit in my driveway they left alot of nails and screws behind that my car tires could catch. Today I went out and picked up those that I could see hoping for the best!

We received multiple quotes for a brand new HVAC and ductwork from local companies in the Fort Worth area. When David and Mike came out to give a quote, they spent nearly 2 hours breaking everything down and helping us to understand what was needed and evaluate what would be the best option for us. Means a lot for a company to invest so much time when you were making such a huge purchase. The other folks who came out to give us quotes definitely didn’t engage with us like David and Mike did. We ultimately chose to go with Top Gun and I am beyond thrilled that we made that choice. Literally the day after we said “Go” they had their crews at our house and knocked everything out in one day. Every single person that worked this job was an employee of Top Gun and was so polite and professional. You could tell that they all took so much pride in what they were doing, and really value the company that they work for. After they left, we actually had an issue with the thermostat and I called David at 9:30 PM on a Friday night and he had somebody out in 20 minutes to make things right - huge shout out to Jon for saving the day! This is one of the absolute best experiences we have ever had with a contracting company. The quality of work is EXCEPTIONAL and we are looking forward to having them as our #1 for all of our HVAC maintenance in the future. Top Gun Air is wonderful! They were responsive and really listened to our A/C issues and the uneven temps in our house from room to room. They offered the best solution and was no pressure to get the job done right away. We decided to move forward and let them know and the work was scheduled for 2 days later. He first came to assess what our home needed, then he thoroughly explained what repairs/service we would need since our home is fairly old and we had next to no insulation in the attic. While no one wants to spend $$; it was time.The Installation crew arrived Wednesday at 8:00 as promised. They promptly got to work and got 2 new units installed very quickly. Lead Tech, Justin, made me know that I’m in good hands with Top Gun!Just had new system installed May 11, 2024. Tech who did the install, he and his crew did a really good job of installing and getting me up and running to enjoy cool air that night. After approximately 6 hours to complete the job, the install tech in charge spent time to get my thermostat going. All this fancy schmancy new technology threw me for a loop so after they left I didn’t really understand all the bells & whistles. I struggled through the weekend to do settings correctly and try to keep cool, to no avail. I knew I needed a tutorial, so I contacted rep that sold me the system and he had main office send out just the right guy (immediately). I was frazzled and felt like an idiot, but Justin took his time to show me how to set a schedule, and other features and answer my questions. He explained for me how the settings of cooling mode, fan, and compressor work to balance humidity and make my home cool. Besides not understanding how to make the system run properly, humidity was a big issue. Thanks to my hero tech, Justin, I now have a better understanding of my new system with heat pump. He made just the right adjustments to cut the humidity. I can’t say Thank You enough to Justin for being patient, professional and kind. I don’t know it all but I do have a better understanding of how my “new Rolls Royce” runs and I know I have a great support team to help me going forward. Top Gun is Top Notch!!

Bought a new house and the air-conditioning unit was close to end of life. I called several AC companies and got quotes. What I noticed is that the other companies provided me a quote to replace the system, while Top Gun gave me the option to repair my old system. While the cost to repair was close to the cost of a new system, I opted to go with the recommended Heat-Pump energy efficient upgrade. Working with the top gun air crew, they educated me a whole lot on how air systems work. Who would have thought how complex these systems could be.I am unbelievably happy and fully satisfied with the new system and the performance of the Top Gun crew. And they left my house spotless and hauled away the old system.

This was a 2 year process. I was on the fence about changing out my 20 plus year system. Top Gun would regularly check in on me without one word of pressure. I did lots of research through reviews, and phone calls. When I was finally ready, I chose Top Gun. I had no idea going into this what to expect. They eased all my fears with price, options, and day of installation fears. Once confirmed, everything went exactly as I was told (and they sent me a step by step email estimate). I was nervous when the big trucks arrived. This was my biggest fear. My fear turned to calm and confidence when I met the 4 service techs. Kevin, Jesse, Bryan, and 1 other. (Fogive me, i cant remember the name, but he too was awesome).They were the nicest, most respectful, hard working professional guys you would want in your house doing a major job. They went out of their way to cover, protect and respect my house. I was amazed at how little of the house they needed access to do such a big job. They cleaned up like theyd never been here. They took LOTS of time to go over everything, and explain how to use the cool new smart thermostat. I got a brand new inside out ac/heating system, all new ducts, and made 4 new friends. My experience with Top Gun Heating and Air was one of a kind. The salesman, David, came out for an estimate.. When he was talking about my needs and options he was very forthcoming and descriptive and was very respectful to my questions. On my initial call, they even gave me questions to ask other companies as they knew I was competing and trying to find the best deal. They came in at Great pricing... thousands below the other two that I got estimates on. Their technicians and installers Daniel, Jose, and Peter were phenomenal with their work. They were kind, courteous, respectful, and meticulous. They enjoyed and took pride in their work and they cared about the quality of work that they performed. They answered any of my questions and were very friendly. They assured me my energy cost would drop significantly , and they were right . Since Ive had my unit, my energy costs are trending to drop from 35 to 50%. I will recommend Top Gun heating and air to everyone I know! Thank you Top Gun for such great service and customer care.

Wow! Just amazing!!!! I cant recommend this company enough. Dont call anyone else, just call TopGun (cool name, btw).In the dead of a very hot Texas summer our very old AC unit started to blow hot air about a month before we were due to leave for an international trip (AGGHHH!!!). Jon, who is extremely knowledgeable, offered solutions without any sales pressure; Jon walked me through the risks/benefits/costs and let me decide. I opted for the cheaper option (being the cheap skate I am) and had him seal the leak in the line and recharge the refrigerant. He warned me that this may not work because our unit was so old... he was right 🙁.So when the system failed the cheap approach, I called Jon back to do the full new unit install. Jon worked fast as we were on a time crunch to get out of town, but he was very thorough. He explained everything at the end of the install, which I like because I want to know what Im getting for my money. You can see he takes pride in his craftsmanship (our unit now makes the other look sad), and he even helped me troubleshoot my new Nest thermostat. Overall, I am VERY pleased with our system now (super cold and our bill is even lower. Yay, efficiency!). And the service...HONEST, GREAT PRICE, TOP NOTCH!! Will definitely be calling if I ever need anything in the future.

We recently chose Top Gun Heating and Air to replace the HVAC system and ductwork for our daughter’s house in Carrollton. We selected them after much research into HVAC companies all over the DFW area. Their reviews on several different sites were outstanding.With anything as complicated as an HVAC system, there is the possibility that something might go wrong. In our case, the inside unit experienced some problems a few weeks after installation. Top Gun was very quick to respond to the issue. Jon, the owner, even came out himself to make sure the problem was diagnosed correctly. The problem was resolved and the unit has been working properly since then.We have been very impressed with the service from Top Gun. Once again Top Gun comes through.. Had to have our whole system replaced. They installed the next day in under 6 hours. Had not done my research and did not get the unit I wanted. Totally my fault. Jonathan came to my house on such short notice for an assessment. Like any other vendor, He could’ve easily just sold me a brand new unit but instead, he did a very honest assessment and recommendation on how to solve my years old issue with my house not being able to cool down. Installing additional returns, better air filtration system and insulation. I’ve contacted at least 3 different companies and I’ve never spoken to such an honest vendor that focuses on solutions rather than profit. During the course of the project, another issue came up with my evaporator coil going bad and he was able to put together a solution in such short notice. He sends a team led by Kevin Sanchez and they worked until 1am to make sure the job is complete. Anyone can come and install whatever but I have never come across a team that is extremely polite, knowledgeable and professional. It was late and I could hear them in the attic talking to each other saying “we going to get this right, and we are going to get this done”. I am extremely proud of Kevin’s leadership, the quality of work and this company’s dedication to continue deliver the best in class serivice they are known for. He takes care of his team and it reflects on the services they provide and also reflects Jon’s leadership and service to his crew. There’s a reason why they are highly rated and I can attest to it. My wife and I we’re noticing the air conditioner unit seemed to be working to hard and not cooling like it use too. The system was almost three years old that Top Gun installed. We scheduled a technician to come take a look. Justin came out on Thursday and diagnosed the issue pretty quickly and explained exactly what was happening. Then told us what was needed. The soonest they could get us on the schedule was Tuesday morning. But Justin with the day off on Saturday schedule it that morning and had use up and running in 2 hours. Now Justin did not need to do this on his day off but we did appreciate the customer service from him and Top Gun. We just had Kylen with Top Gun Heating and Air come out to conduct an A/C maintenance service call. I will say that all of the 5-star reviews are what convinced me to give Top Gun a call and they are well deserved. As others have noted, Kylen is extremely professional and thoroughly examined and cleaned our unit. We have had 3-4 other companies come out for similar calls and Ive never seen any of their techs clean or examine any of the areas Kylen worked on. He patiently answered all of my questions and explained what he was doing and you get the impression that he enjoys sharing his knowledge and did not see my questions as a hassle to deal with. While other companies noted that the measurements were fine, Kylen showed me each measurement and explained what each number represented so I feel like I have a much better understanding of how our entire system works.All of this and with a very reasonable price to boot. Kylen arrived same-day for emergency diagnostic and service - initially scheduled at 3pm, but was able to come at 11:45am, just 2 hours after making the request. Kylen was prompt, professional, attentive, and very patient while my dog pestered him during his visit.Unfortunately, he discovered that our a/c had been inadequately maintained: several gallons of water had pooled inside the attic unit and drip pan, and brought along plenty of mold, bacteria and damage to critical components. Additionally, shoddy workmanship from a previous repair or install were brought to my attention as he discovered a capacitor inside the unit chassis - entirely unmounted, and wired to the unit while STILL IN THE MANUFACTURERS PACKAGING! The capacitor was literally floating in moldy water at the base of the chassis... The scope of service could not be completed in one day, and a full unit replacement has been advised.By his analysis, the damage had begun for some time prior to our move in last year (we are in a rental home), and he insisted that we assert to our LL that the cost of repairs should not be our responsibility, especially given the pervasive health hazard that we have now been living with unknowingly. Although we do not have the issue resolved, I have faith in Kylens judgment and expertise, and greatly appreciate the honesty and genuine concern for our livelihood while we deal with this matter. I expected a questionably aggressive urgency/pain point sales pitch experience, as is often the standard for contractor work, but it was everything but. Just honest intention and assessment. If this were my home AND my financial responsibility, I would gladly give the work to Kylen and Top Gun, but I will be insisting our LL use them when the time comes. I will absolutely keep Top Gun at the top of my list when we move on to our next home, and would suggest anyone else to enlist them for their needs if they are shopping for quotes and/or tired of the typical fly-by-night contractors they typically employ.

Top Gun is the ONLY HVAC company that is confident enough to provide an install estimate online based on simple questions and then not only stick to that estimate once they came out for a look, but even lowered it when a competitor was close. Even though I learned the competitor was cheating me to try and match the Top Gun price. Other competitors kept trying to switch me on units. Sure, at a lower price, but also at lower quality. Which told me others couldn’t or wouldn’t even match the Top Gun price for the same unit. And there was no bait and switch later. Top Gun sent me 3 estimates based on performance estimates and I selected the one I thought was right for us without any pressure to bump up a notch.Every good sale starts with a good salesman. And Kyle is simply a guy you can’t help but like; answering all questions , showing problem areas and providing written estimate options on site. From that initial meeting, John takes over from the office answering any and every question and making sure you understand how the particular units work and explaining price discrepancies between the options. Best AC guys out there. Punctual, reasonably priced, and HONEST. The owner was my first encounter. He fixed a leak, but it was still leaking a few days later. Came out at 9pm. Didnt charge me any sort of fee for being on a weekend evening. I had to FORCE him to take money after he rebuilt my drain pipe system on my furnace, because he said he should have caught the problem the first time. That is true integrity. As long as they keep up this level of service, I will never use anyone else.

These guys were awesome start to finish!I recently bought a rental property in Texas. Seeing the investment opportunity, with all of the people moving there to escape Californias gross cost of living. Figuring I would capitalize on that, what I didnt figure on was my home inspector COMPLETELY dropping the ball and not letting me know how mad the hvac system was.My tenant called and let me know that the ac system was broken. I selected Top Gun Heating and Air because of their awesome Google & Yelp reviews. We scheduled a service call for what I felt was a plenty reasonable price to have a contractor show up at my home and give us solutions.They showed up, a cpl of hours later, on time as promised. The technician found the problem and got my tenant going (awesome!) But he didnt stop there! He went over he entire system. Took a bunch of photos and then went out of his way to explain that while yes, it was back running, it really needed replaced. Since Im way in South Florida, I said please put something together and get back with me via email/phone. Which they did!After explaining everything at length, and truly seeing the condition of my a.c. systems I opted to replace EVERYTHING, as recommended. Its a rental several states away. I dont have time to worry about if the a.c. is in good shape... They scheduled the job for the following week, and installed a brand new ac, all new ductwork, the whole thing. Process was seamless and they kept me informed with photos etc. And sent me all paperwork when it was done.Now I have a new system, the tenants say the house is so much more comfortable, and even smells better. Most importantly, I know that Top Gun has my back and I dont have to worry about anything as far as my a.c. and heating needs are concerned which is awesome, being an out of state property owner. He found the problem within seconds (compressor on outdoor unit not running). Simple capacitor swap. Old capacitor had failed and the compressor needs the extra kick to get going. He saved us!

Only surprise was how expensive refrigerant was, but these guys dont set the prices, they only perform the service. The best part about them was the on time appointment, as I am in the service field as well, its hard to me to take off, I work 100% based on appointments.

Our AC suddenly quit working last night. The AC unit is only 3 years old, and we figured it was a simple fix. We called the original company that installed the unit, and the soonest they could come out was in 7 days. We reached out to our neighbor whom we had seen Top Gun at their house several times. We called them-and mind you, this is on a Friday morning- and they said they could be out between 4-6 pm. They texted when they were on the way and arrived at our house around 5ish. He diagnosed the problem as a blown capacitor within 5 minutes of being on scene. It took about 30 minutes for the whole repair and he even went up in the attic and changed our air filter.We were totally impressed by this company and will probably use them for HVAC maintenance because they were so much more responsive than the company that installed our original and replacement HVAC.Thanks Top Gun, you can be my wingman anytime!

Jon came out to my house for a heater issue and a condition check of my whole unit. He was on time and upon looking at my heating issue determined it was a dirty filter. This is huge because most A/C companies would have used that opportunity to rip off the home owner and change for parts and lobotomy’s that aren’t needed. He also did a full detailed inspection of my A/C unit (14 years old) and found it in full working condition. Yet another opportunity where most companies would have tried to rip off the home owner. Not Top Gun. I have used them several times and they always take the time to explain what is going on and I always leave confident in the work I’m being charged for and that is being preformed. Honest , very competitive prices, punctual. Can’t ask for much more.

We called them on a very hot Texas morning this summer with no AC (unit was worn out after 16 hot summers) and by 2:45 p.m. the following day we had a brand new 16 Seer HVAC system installed for the best price in town (we got several quotes) Guys were super nice, installed everything to our satisfaction, hauled off all the old system pieces, they even vacummed up the insulation that had fallen into our garage. When they left you couldnt tell they had even been here.Fast track 3.5 months later and we had a leak in our attic that we thought was related to the installation/HVAC System. Amazing service. I called trying to find a capacitor because they were the only AC company i could find that was open after 5pm. John offered to bring it to me on his way home since he lives near me. Its March 24, 2020 and we are supposed to shelter in place beginning at 11:59pm. It might be my last opportunity to get my AC fixed for some time, and it turns out it wasnt the capacitor at all. John tracked down the problem (a wire nut had come undone and the connection from the thermostat to the outside unit was compromised), repaired the connection, and put everything back together, even the stuff I took apart. Basically this turned into a standard service call AFTER HOURS. Throughout the process John answered all my questions and talked me through what he was doing and why. I could go on, but you get the idea. I will definitely be calling Top Gun if I ever need service again. Very grateful and I highly recommend.

I have been using Berkey’s for several years to service my HVAC system. They recently recommended that one of my HVAC systems be replaced. I decided to get a second estimate since Berkey’s price seemed height. I eventually went with Top Gun Heating and Air and was not disappointed. Not only did I save about $2000, they also did a better job than Berkey’s, who had installed the other system in my home. The work done by Top Gun was outstanding. They arrived on-time, completed the installation within the estimated time frame and cleaned everything up to perfection. I would highly recommend Top Gun to anyone in need of HVAC repairs or installation.

Austin was awesome. Very friendly. He performed the required maintenance on my HVAC and let me know everything was in working. He noted my fan motor was caked up with dust and mold, so I had him clean that as well to get everything back to new. I am very pleased with his service and will be using Top Gun again!

Jon was awesome. He was at our house waiting before I was able to show up for our appointment. That made a big impression on me as I couldnt get most companies to even answer to set an appointment.He came in and immediately understood what needed to be done. He took the time to explain it to us, gave us a cost, and offered to take care of it right then. We had him take care of it immediately. After about 30 minutes we were done and Jon explained to us what to watch for in the future.I have already referred Jon to a handful of friends and would highly recommend him to anyone looking in DFW.Patrick M

After a hot couple of days and some frustrating news from another company, I happened to have Top-Gun’s number so I gave them a call. Jon answered decently late into the evening and squeezed a visit in the next morning (today). After reviewing our system he noted that he could repair the issue for a little more than half of what the other company quoted me. He also pushed me in the direction of repair versus get new-something I don’t think many folks do now days. Jon spent a good portion of his day getting us back into a cool home. I really appreciated his passion for the industry, honesty, and hard work in treating a customer the right way. We’ll be using Jon and his team for all our future needs. Thanks guys!

They were very nice and professional. They did a beautiful job installing the new compressor outside. I knew they were installing a new pad, but they leveled and placed heavy gravel under it. The were punctual and the job was finished quickly and neatly. Kyle, one of the owners, was a pleasure to work with.
