The team at Austin saved my family and I.To add some context it’s currently negative -7 with wind chill at -30.Found out late last night that night our furnace was only pushing cold air no longer working. After a cold night at home I called and a very nice lady (wish I had her name) first thing in the morning. After explaining our issue she ask if we had heat and we did not. She got my info to dispatch. Less than an hour later I had someone here to diagnose.After finding the problem and given options we decided to go with a new unit. Not only were they able to get a new furnace but they were able to installed it the same day!Immediately began working to take the old unit out while the new one was being delivered. Gave us an estimated time on how long it would be to install but finished ahead of that window.Vinny & Ethan were very knowledgeable, friendly, and made the process easy.Extremely appreciative of those two and Austin Heating & Cooling! We had our furnace died on us yesterday, of course at night at the beginning of an extreme cold spell. Austin Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric was able to get a technician out to check the problem first thing this morning. Then when it was discovered that it wasnt worth repairing our 20 year old furnace, they were able to get us an upgraded, more efficient furnace installed within hours. Todd, Tony, and Vinny were very respectful, very detailed in their explanations, and very quick and efficient with their work. Plus, they were very tolerant of the curious gazes of the children and their endless chatter. :) And we have a warm home once again! Thank you so much for the quick, quality work!

10/8/24Steve M came and did my semiannual HVAC checkup. He suggested a new filter and a few repairs and he detailed the cost of several options that I could do now or wait a bit. I really appreciate his honesty and his knowledge!10/8/2024Sam V came and did my semiannual plumbing checkup, and showed me options for either repairing or replacing the non stop flushing toilet. I opted for new! Sam did a great job of explaining everything and of installing my new toilet! It looks great, and its higher than the old one which I really appreciate!I had a big problem with backup of the basement drain that went on for months, even though I had another plumber come out twice to fix it. Then I called Austin and Pete E. came to help me.This man LOVES his job, is incredibly good at it, and after a very short time, I felt like he was a family member. He showed me what he was doing. He was thorough. He cleaned out the pipes and then went 67 ft. 2 inches to the city sewer with the camera, showing me that my pipes were now clear all the way to the street.I was impressed! This company is my plumbing and hvac go to from now on...and I will always ask for Pete for any plumbing needs!11/25/24 Michael R. came for my annual electrical checkup. He made certain that he noted anything that might need to be done To bring my kitchen up to code, should I decide to sell. He suggested looking into the central air wiring. He let me know that I needed new free carbon monoxide and smoke detectors and where they should be strategically placed.Michael was extremely helpful and thorough! I would definitely recommend Michael, and look forward to seeing him for any future eletrical projects.12/12/2024 Noah J came to fix my overflowing sewer drain. He snaked it out and my toilets now flush and I am once againfree flowing! Noah was sincere and kind. He explained everything completely and I was very pleased with the outcome! I give him a 5 star recommendation!1/15-1/16/2025 Once again, my sewer backed up. Noah J came on the 13th and determined that my REAL problem was the pipe under the basement floor. Yikes! Big job, big bucks!Noah J, Garrett B, Chris A and Dylan B did a great job for me!!!! They replaced the old pipes with pvc, and then filled the floor with concrete and put in the new drain!This is a picture of the old pipe! So gross! No room for anything to get through! Then a picture in progress. And finally, a picture upon completion! (concrete is still wet! Thank all of you for all your hard work!!

I worked with Deb on Saturday, and she had an opening on Monday, so I took it. A few messages back and forth, confirming time, and arrival. Luke was our service man, and he really knew his stuff. I was simply going to put in a new toilet, but after pulling the old toilet I discovered a broken toilet flange. As a member of Club Austin I knew who to call. Todd came in a timely fashion. Explained what he was going to do to get at the root of our problem and got right to work. He also explained about joining the Austin club which includes regular checkups on our heating and air conditioning systems. I liked the idea of regular maintenance rather than emergency calls and the possibility of being without heat or AC. Would not have really made a difference for our service call at this point,however because the cause of our blower motor shaking hard and being so noisy turned our to be a 🐁 mouse that had gotten into the motor. All the same, having someone who is knowledgeable and explains situations thoroughly is very valuable to me. Todd was a complete professional and I was very grateful to have the problem be something simple rather than a major repair. I was totally satisfied with the service and additional inspection performed.

I was in the construction industry for over 35 years as a carpenter and superintendent. Recently my wife and I decided to put a 1/2 bath in our lower level for guests. But, we were having difficulty finding a General contractor to do the work. So we decided to call Austin, who has been doing all of our service work for over 20 years. They came out that week and gave us an estimate for the plumbing, heating, and electrical. Austin started work the following week and finished 2 weeks later. I needed a new hot water tank in a hurry and after searching for local businesses and calling several, Austin were the only one that responded that they were sure they could help me that day. They took my contact details and promised to call me back in a few minutes, which they did, telling me that someone was on their way that morning and also that I could track his progress on my phone. The price shocked me somewhat and I was concerned that my urgent situation had not given me the opportunity to shop for quotes. However, it’s years since I had a similar job done and so I was probably out of touch with current prices and moreover, the tank they were offering was the best brand and the price included all the necessary equipment to give it a long life, such as a sacrificial anode, dielectric fittings and an expansion tank. The technician doing the job (Luke) was polite, efficient, knowledgeable and did a clean job, clearing up afterwards.

Austin Plumbing & Heating did an awesome job replacing our 20-yr old AC unit. Troy, our lead tech, was beyond professional; friendly, courteous but didn’t waste time. He gave me absolute confidence in the job they did, so peace of mind.Here’s the things people care about:1) Troy and his partner showed up on time, so no waiting around all morning.2) They had everything they needed on the truck, so no ‘we’ll have to order a part and come back next week.’3) They told me about how long they’d be there and stayed within that time frame.4) When I couldn’t get the smoke alarm to turn off (welding smoke) and my alarm company couldn’t help, they rolled with it and worked with the noise without complaint. Heck, Troy’s partner apologized for setting it off despite there being no way to have prevented it.4) Their estimate was exactly what I paid. No surprises at the end.I don’t know if Austin is the cheapest HVAC provider (the estimator did his best to get the price down), but I doubt they’re way off target as a lot of this is price controlled by the manufacturers. They did have industry-specific knowledge about changes coming in this space that likely saved me a substantial amount of money and hassle in the long run. Nobody ‘sold me up.’ They got me the unit I needed at a reasonable cost and did an excellent job with the process. I’m sure they’re all great, but definitely ask for Troy by name if he’s available.

On the last Monday of March 2023, I called Austin Plumbing late in morning to request replacement of my old 50 gallon electric GE Brand water heater that was 20 years old and not working anymore tripping its circuit breaker. The phone was answered promptly and very courteously and was assured that a competent technician, Scott M., would arrive within 2 hours. He actually arrived much earlier and informed me with a detailed estimate of replacement surrounding plumbing upgrade shut off valves parts and prices and confirmed the need for replacement and had the new high quality BradfordWhite brand water heater installed that same afternoon. Additionally what impressed me with their service guarantee was the willingness and immediate next day follow up care regarding the discovered manufacturer defect on the Anode Rod threading that was causing water to leak up on top. They replaced that part free of any additional charges the very next morning with quality workmanship. Within a week, I received a letter with the details of the local required permit installation for me to coordinate with my Town of Lisbon inspector. I was able to coordinate with the inspector right away at my earliest convenience. The inspector was very pleased and impressed with the quality installation that included the additional shut off valve that Austin Plumbing put it in so its not just the inlet but also the outlet. He said that exceeds the minimum required code requirement and works better for service later. He said that Austin Plumbing has always impressed him with their highest quality workmanship. Even though they may cost more than some competitors, youll get a better set of replacement products and installation. He said when he had a need for his own well water pump replacement, only Austin Plumbing called him back and got the job done right to his satisfaction. He said that the Bradford White brand water heater that was installed is very top quality and last longer well beyond the warranty so I should be pleased with this for a long time. Most recently we had Pete here to fix our recirculating hot water system and our upstairs shower. Pete did an excellent job on both. Don identified a problem with our old water softener system and prepared a quote for a new system. Additionally, Don prepared a quote for remodeling of our downstairs bath and we will be pleased to have him handle both projects. He is a very experienced and capable plumber. Don has since installed the new water softener system and has completed the preliminary work on the downstairs bath. As expected he did an outstanding job on both projects. Don is absolutely the best and he will be back to finish the project.

Had a leaking water heater on a Sunday evening. Called Austin plumbing that night and a real person answered the phone, polite, professional, and personal. It was great to speak to a real person who immediately set me up with someone to come and take care of my leaking water heater the next morning. The plumber they sent was excellent. He was friendly, professional, very knowledgeable and efficient. All I can say is that I had a great experience with Austin plumbing and would not hesitate to call on them again.

Called Austin plumbing for a new water heater and softener. I generally don’t do reviews however, I was very impressed with Austin plumbing. Don their on site technician was very knowledgeable and provided me with several options for repairs. The water was tested to make sure an iron filter was not required saving me money on the repairs . The company showed up on time, answered all my questions, repaired the problems quickly, had all major replacement parts there quickly and handled the entire process from first call to completion very professionally. Informed me of all the steps, challenges and stuck to the original quote.Work was highest quality but very expensive - about 2X to 3X more than others.

My most recent experience was with Pete. He was analytical in solving my plumbing issue mystery and helped me document an exterior water layout that will be useful in the future!
