    Every experience I have had with this company over the years has been exemplary. Whether it be for an issue thats needs repair or normal bi-yearly maintenance.     10/24 Finally, after 29 years, had to replace our initial HVAC. AusTex was here within a few days with a new unit. They arrived on time, explained the process, and proceeded with the removal of the old unit and installation of the new unit. Well done, very professional. We are pleased as usual with AusTex. We wish every contractor used in the last five years was as competent!!The post below was from a number (5? 8?) years ago. As its exactly the same---down to a burned wire---as our experience today, no need to rewrite the review. Were very fortunate to have Austex as our A/C repair people!(Previous review). Our A/C suddenly stopped working late on a Friday afternoon. I contacted Dave at Austex, and he came right away. He quickly worked at identifying the problem, and soon narrowed it down to a shorted wire. He was able to quickly repair the issue, and barely more than an hour from when we discovered the A/C was out, it was up and running again. The cost was very reasonable. Wed gladly recommend him, and will call him again if (when!) we have a problem.

    Its always a pleasure working with Randy from Austex Air. Even though the reason for calling them is because it’s extremely hot and uncomfortable in our house and the hottest day of the year! They come out in a timely manner and fix the problem. I trust them completely to fix only what’s needed. We’ve used them on multiple houses. They honor warranties.     I got home in the evening after the Memorial Day holiday to an 84 degree house. Austex got to me 2 hours prior to when they thought they could the next day which I really appreciated. My technician, David Smith, was able to figure out the problem in a very reasonable amount of time and filled me in on all of the details as he went. He determined all my equipment was in great shape and figured out that the overflow valve P-trap was plugged up, cleared it and my AC is running perfectly now!

    I had a bad float switch and a clogged condensation line and both have been an issue since the new unit was installed over 10 years ago. Randy came back two times after the initial visit trying to resolve both issues. He worked hard until he came up with a solution that wouldnt be costly to me and will hopefully resolve the issues.     I called Austex today around 6:30p and the gentleman on the phone helped diagnose the issue based off my description of what I heard and saw, then gave me a straight price. He then precedes to tell me he could have someone at my house the same evening, which of course I want them ASAP it is Texas in August. The tech was at my house in less than a hour, fixed the issue real fast, and was extremely courteous to me. Four years after installing two new ACs in my home, I elected to perform a service call and the company found a minor faulty part that cost almost nothing to replace (part under warranty).     Thank you Austex. We have had a/c problems for over a month all while working with a large hvac company. We kept getting hit with trip charges and small parts, freon added etc. we were even told we need an entire unit replaced. in our frustration we reached out to Austex for help. Dave answered and listened! He said they would be out that same day. Austex arrived on time and Josh showed up. I can say that I have never been more impressed with an a/c technician than I was with Josh. He took me through the process and what he was looking for to fix the root of the issue. After all checks outside and inside he was able to show me the leak was in the coil. He provided me upfront pricing and options. We have a new found respect for hvac professionals now. Not only did he come out same day....he found out my motor was under warranty and saved me $600 dollars!     David from Austex air is truly wonderful at what he does. I called him first thing in the morning after our AC stopped working the night before. He was over within the hour, and had it fixed before he even knocked on the door. After our normal AC repair guys out ofGeorgetown were booked (as well as 2 others we called) Austex THANK GOD had an opening for this afternoon.Their tech was able to come an hour earlier than they originally thought and was completely done replacing our capacitor, taping a leak up in theattic, and washing the AC unit in less than 45 minutes. He was super nice and very quick.Austex will have repeat business from us.

    I had another heater repair company come out to see why my heater wasnt working, and they told me I would need to replace the furnace for $2200. Called Austex for a second opinion.     Our AC hasnt worked properly for quite some time. The warranty company sent someone out, but within two months the AC was running all day and leaking condensation through the ceiling in our living room. I called AusTex, and they were out within a couple of hours. Jesus diagnosed the problem, even going so far as to take pictures in the attic to show the issue to the warranty company. He came back out to make the repairs and was professional, quick, and got our AC running better than it has ever worked in the year we have owned our home. We highly recommend AusTex for any AC issues you might be having.

He showed me how to operate the humidifier thats built into my furnace (I have a humidifier in my furnace, DUH? ) I was really totally clueless that the plastic box attached to my vent was a humidifier.
