I visited a friend here for a week. The complex is an easy walk to campus or downtown. There is a pool, outdoor tables, covered parking, and a beautiful view of the estuary and campus. Beautiful local birds arent scared of people, but dont bother you. Its a wonderfully maintained mid-century modern building.

We had a wonderful time at Fort Brown Condo Shares. I was a little nervous about our trip due to some of the reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised with our room and the service. The room did smell a little musty, which I assume is due to the humid climate, but it was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed having 2 TVs, so that my husband and I didn’t have to watch cartoons with the kids the whole time. We also put the kitchen to good use and we were able to make a lot of our own meals. The pool was well maintained and the view of the lake from our room was beautiful. The area was quiet and yet close to stores/restaurants/gas stations. They delivered fresh towels, toilet paper, paper towels, to our room each day as needed. They did explain that they wouldn’t enter our room if we weren’t there, and that if we missed them we could get fresh supplies from the office instead. We were there for a family vacation and enjoyed driving to Port Isabel and South Padre Island each day. It does take about 45 minutes to get to the beach, which was fine for us, since we weren’t on a schedule and the drive was beautiful. Thank you for a great week!

Room was clean but needs updating. Bathroom mostly. They kept the grounds and pool area well kept. Rosie at the office was very helpful and pleasant. Quiet nights were awesome. Internet could use an upgrade as well. Could only contact if sitting near our door and connected better if outside.

We had an opportunity to stay there recently. I was skeptical because of previous reviews. Yes, the place may be dated but it was very clean and well cared for. The office staff, maintenance man and the housekeeping staff were all very friendly and helpful. If we are ever in Brownsville again, we would definitely stay there again.

Rooms are very comfortable and well equipped although they are a little outdated. The property is beautiful with a lush landscaping, and a nice pool. It even has a river with islands you can cross a bridge to get to and picnic on. The perfect surrounding more than makes up for any lack in the rooms.

Comfortable and adequate accommodations. Hot tub looks tiny at first glance but is also adequate, if a bit heavily chlorinated- (I get it). Conveniently located at the edge of campus, the surrounding area is mostly nice and inviting. I had to chuckle at the answer I received when I checked in and asked whether there was a fitness center- something of an invitation to walk the grounds and surrounding area (which I did the next day, but more for leisure than fitness) 😆😆. Also that day, I noticed water leaking from the bathroom ceiling. Once someone came to look at it, I was offered the choice to stay there where someone would come to make repairs the next day (since it was a Sunday) or to move to a different room. Since some drywall tape had already fallen to the floor after the texturing over it had been saturated and an ever growing puddle was collecting (which seemed like a fairly obvious slipping hazard to me), I happily packed up my things & relocated. As luck would have it, I ended up moving from a 1 bdrm to a 2, which made for more a comfortable stay for my travel companions who hadnt arrived yet anyway. All in all a pleasant stay & a good location from which to base our week of meetings in the vicinity.

We came to Brownsville from Dallas for our family vacation. We got two adjoining rooms. The place is a little older but kept up very well. The people are all very friendly. They have a pool with a hot tub, there is a pond just beyond the pool. The pond has ducks and turtles in it. The parking is a little strange but once you get used to it, its not that bad. They are also easy driving distance to South Padre Island and other parks and activities along the southern coast.

The location is nice, by the resaca, next to the two colleges. I really liked the pool, nice to use during the hot days. I loved the rooms, comfy, and very clean. I recommend it if youre visiting Brownsville.

Hi, I have been living this place for 28 month. I have found this place very nice. The administration and its staff are very friendly. Place is close to campus with lots of visitor occupy the units frequently. The woner responds the residence problem promptly. You can find long river like lake where vistor go for fishing. I think this is one of the best apartment in the Brownsville city. I fully recommend this place for living.

Service is great, people are really friendly! Its close to a lake and the University, which I think is good when theres no classes. The rooms are small but well spaced, it fitted 5 people with enough room.

The stay has been enjoyable! Everything is clean and comfortable. Management is nice, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the area. He gave great food selections (including Vermillion). Overall, Im very happy with the place.

Its a condo timeshare that is small enough to be traversed on foot, has secure pool and hot tub . Can walk to Mexico but You need your passport. Mexico border nightlife is not safe for unaccompanied young adults.

If you are a Light Sleeper, you should consider that the Motors of the Pool and the Air Conditioning in the Rooms CAN BE HEARD ALL THE TIME. They give you some supplies (towels, coffee filters, shampoo, etc.) as you request them. Consider that here the LIGT Taxis or any other Taxis site TAAARD to arrive or THEY DO NOT ARRIVE! Remember to bring your Portable Seat, since while you Wait for your Taxi or some Purchase, there is NOWHERE TO SIT EXCEPT ON THE FLOOR! The view towards the lake is very beautiful! .Outside the Complex YES There is Silence and Peace

Nice place and very close to Brownsville University, good services and fully furnished (although the furniture is old). The price is a little high but includes electricity, water, internet and cable.
