    I recently leased an apartment at Gables Uptown Trail and couldn’t be happier. Taiah and Valarie in the leasing office were incredibly helpful and made the application process smooth. The apartments are modern and spacious, and the amenities are fantastic, including a pool and fitness center. The location is excellent, with easy access to shopping and dining. Highly recommend it!

    I have lived in one of the yard units for the past two years and have loved every second of it. The gym is in great condition and the grills in both outdoor common areas have been a great perk. Location is also premium, located right next to the Ice House and the Katy Trail. Could not have picked a better place to live in Uptown. Would highly recommend!

    This is a fantastic apartment all around. My move-in experience went smoothly. The office staff is knowledgable and genuinely cares. The gym, pool, and common spaces are clean and well-maintained. Parking is abundant.The maintenance staff is phenomenal. I have had a few things break/go wrong (including AC in July), and the maintenance team took care of it within hours of the request.And granted, the apartment isnt perfect. Many areas of the apartment often have the occasional dog urine smell as pets do what they will do, but it is generally cleaned up quickly, and this is the risk you take when you live in an urban apartment.The apartment is also well designed and doesnt feel stuffy. I genuinely enjoy living here. The location is superb, and living next to the ice house has been amazing. It isnt too loud, and the neighborhood isnt dead either. Access to the Katy trail is literally in your backyard if you live here, which is a huge plus.I wanted to conclude by touching on other individuals reviews. I saw many people say that they had experienced car break ins and theft from storage units. I have not experienced it myself nor heard of others dealing with it. It appears these may have been issues from a long time ago because they dont seem to be happening today whatsoever. All in all, great place and you should move here!

    Easy, pleasant move in experience. Management and leading are responsive and helpful. Valarie is terrific.Had a situation where my HVAC system started leaking, soaking the carpet in a neighboring room on a Sunday. I called the emergency line and a technician was at my apartment in 20 minutes to get eyes on it. Fans were on the ground the next day and the leak and carpet were fixed and taken care of in days. I have never lived in an apartment with such a quick response time. Sonya, Valarie, and all the maintenance staff were quick and responsive.High quality apartments, great location, great price. I couldn’t be happier.

    The best part about the Gables Uptown Trail is the office staff! They are QUICK to respond to all emails and issues. Love these girls! Vanessa and Valerie are awesome in the office and truly make the Uptown Trail Gables property one of the best to live at! The maintenance workers are also respectful of our apartment at all times and provide fast, efficient maintenance services.

    Uptown Trail is great. Great location, great staff, great maintenance, great apartment and great amenities. I put in a work order and they can 2hrs later. The staff at the leasing office is amazing they are always ready to help. Also they office does cute events that are fun and get a food truck some days. Conclusion: move here. Vanessa and Valarie are great!!

    I moved in recently and so happy that I did. I have loved living here. My apartment fits my furniture perfectly and I love the floors.Everyone is so nice, the service team is so helpful and the manager and office team are really accommodating.You cannot beat the location, I can walk everywhere and really enjoy exploring new areas by roaming around. They are about to get package lockers and I love that because I usually work late and this is so helpful.Believe me when I say that this is a really great place to live.

    I have lived at Uptown Trail for the past two years (2020 - 2022). I cannot recommend this complex enough. The staff does a wonderful job of mitigating and handling common apartment complex issues and complaints (smoking, pet waste, parking, etc.). Admittedly, I am a chronic complainer. I have to physically stop myself from whining about minor issues and I literally cannot come up with a single reason not to live at this complex. The resident parking is outstanding and guest parking is easy and never at capacity. The apartments themselves are updated and uniform, meaning apartment hunters dont have to worry about deceptive pricing on Zillow, etc. Additionally, the homes themselves are so insulated, so it doesnt even feel like youre in a major apartment complex. I have not heard any of my neighbors (upstairs, across the hall, on either side of me, etc.), and one of them literally has a baby. The front staff is extremely receptive and the maintenance team is remarkably attentive (I have filed ONE maintenance request in the entirety of my two years and their team still remembers my roommate and I and will say hello in passing). Any routine maintenance procedures (pest control, fire alarm inspection, etc.) are performed quickly and professionally with an advance announcement to ensure you can accommodate your schedule. RECOMMEND RECOMMEND RECOMMEND. I am receiving no benefit for this review, I am unfortunately moving from the area or I would absolutely re-sign this lease. I highly highly highly recommend this complex.

    We enjoyed living here! The location can’t be beat for living right on the Katy trail, but there are few restaurants/bars in immediate walking distance. Katy Trail Ice House is a major benefit, and despite the proximity of one of Dallas’ most popular outdoor spaces, the community is fairly quiet with thick walls. The maintenance staff is top notch and faster than any other apartment in Dallas. The pool is a social pool, and two gyms both are unique and cover anything you might want. Dog park gets hot, smells bad, and many people leave their dogs dropping on the ground. Staff does a great job cleaning every morning, but during the day can get gross. Similarly on weekends people tend to break door knobs, leave around beers etc due to the area and night life focus, but maintenance addresses quickly. Highly recommend for people at the stage of their lives using the trail frequently, going out in uptown, and have friends in the area.

    I came from an apartment complex that I had a horrible experience with. I was extremely hesitant and scarred from that experience when looking around again. Gables Uptown Trail has renewed my faith in commercial apartment complexes. The apartments themselves, the community spaces and amenities are the best you will find in the area for the given price point (which may I add is incredibly generous given what other places are currently charging). The entire staff is friendly, helpful and professional. Alicia with the cleaning staff never fails to make me smile. Thank you Gables Uptown trail for making renting a pleasurable experience for all of your residents!

    I’ve lived here for over 3.5 years and can say that I recommend this apartment over all of the other Uptown apartments within this price range. My friends throughout the surrounding area have horror stories about their complexes and I’m so thankful uptown trail has been nothing but 10/10 for me. When it comes to quality, safety, location, and staff. You can’t beat the price for katy trail access.1. Safety - uptown trail requires key fob access to almost every door in the building. You even need the fob to select your floor # in the elevator. As much of a hassle it can be to let your friends up, I prefer this security to prevent random people from coming to my floor.2. Quality - I never hear any noice from neighbors, common areas are clean, and I have 0 complaints about my apartment. Even during the spike of Covid and snow storms here, the building stayed in good condition. (Of course fire alarms have gone off before in my years of living here and an elevator has been down for a day, but nothing to seriously complain over.)3. Location - I walk everywhere. The katy trail, ice house, Whole Foods, Starbucks connected to the Marriott hotel, tons of restaurants, etc. If the weather is nice, I walk to American Airlines for hockey games.4. Staff - Maintenance is always fast! I haven’t seen turnover with this maintenance crew and that makes me feel great, bc clearly they are good at their job!!! Love the front desk crew + Kristi. I feel like they have residents best interest, are professional, and know the property well.I’m onto the next chapter of my life, so I’m moving out, but I will always have so much love for my first Dallas complex :)

    My son, who just graduated from college in May, and moved to Dallas for a job, moved into his apartment 2 weeks ago, and has had a great experience so far. Kristy McLocklin, in the leasing office, was extremely helpful in aiding us in picking out an apartment. We went to many different apartment complexes, but chose Uptown Trail because of the location and amenities, and Kristy was also a big part of why we chose UT. She not only helped us when we were touring the apartments, but she followed up with us numerous times to check on how our apartment search was going, and she was always willing to answer my many questions having to do with the apartment complex and the surrounding area. Uptown Trail is in a great location in Uptown Dallas steps away from the Katy Trail. So far after two weeks, my son is really enjoying his new apartment and new city.

    I had a great experience living in Uptown Trail Apartments. When I moved in the leasing office was super accommodating and went above and beyond to get me moved in that weekend. Jeremy Rodriquez no longer works at that location, but he was phenomenal. Ill never forget how he stayed several hours after his shift on a Saturday to make sure I could get my keys the next day. The manager that weekend also approved my move in so I didnt need to continue living in a hotel another day. It made such an impact when I was in dire need to find an apartment with very short notice. On top of their lovely staff, the location is great and I always felt safe living here!

She gave me an EXCELLENT tour and really took her time to ensure all my needs were met. My move in date wasn’t until September and my price range was very low. She followed up with me for months and sent me available units in my price range. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! I 100% recommend checking them out and asking Kristy for help!

    2 years later and I must update and give my praises to this team.The Texas storms did horrible things to Dallas and to alot of my friends apartments and we are lucky that I didnt have that happen to me.The reviews that I see about the fire alarms are so sad because this wasnt their fault. They went out of thier way to communicate with us. Jeania has done such a great job making us feel secure during this situation. She had updated us several times a day, responded to my many emails right away and made sure my faucets were dripping while I was at work at the hospital. The maintenance team has been working so hard during this time. Thank you for still making me love my home in a time like this.Great place to live. Awesome location, walkable to so much stuff and Katy Trail is right behind me. I have always had nothing but awesome interaction with the service men that do our work orders and great interaction with management.

    Excellent facility, very safe/secure, competent and friendly management, and plenty of parking. The office staff worked with me to make sure I got the apartment that best fit my needs. Facilities are well maintained. There is some minimal street noise on Friday and Saturday nights, but I suppose thats to be expected in Uptown (its very easy to tune out). Overall, I highly recommend Gables Uptown Trail.

    The main reason we moved here was Samantha Maclean ! She is incredible and responds all your needs pretty quick with genuine care. Maintenance and other staff are pretty nice and friendly too. Very beautiful units and great location. Only negative thing might be the intense pet smell on the barbeque area and the first floor carpets through the elevator, especially if you have allergies. Other than that it’s our second month and so far we love it !

    Kristy McLocklin, the manager at Uptown Trails, was amazing to me in my search for a new apartment there as I wanted to continue my stay there. She emailed me just about everyday on updates and apartment prices helping me to find the perfect place and budget for me. If you are in search for a place at Uptown Trail, I recommend that you request her. She wont lead you in the wrong direction!

    I have lived here for 8.5 months. I had a 5 star review up until now. This apartment management does not care about any crime that is happening on their property. The security guard does not patrol the garage and my wheels were stolen off of my truck. My bicycle was stolen WITHIN VIEW of the camera and nothing was done. I looked through 8 hours of footage on their cameras to catch the person who stole my wheels and was informed that management was not available because they were in Florida. The security guard did not come into view once. He stands out by the leasing office. The only reason this complex gets an extra star is for the leasing agents and the maintainence crew. They are good people that care, but management does not care. If they did, they would have reached out to me about my bike that was stolen and my wheels. It’s honestly ridiculous. Something needs to change or else I will not be recommending this place at all.Update: they have since installed cameras in the garage. I am very pleased with the response to the theft in the area.

    Best apartment experience ever! Its definitely a party building so if youre a working professional be prepared to lack sleep Thursday -Sunday. Other than that this place rocks! Great location, awesome clubhouse, community business center (always working), great package system, amazing floor plan, rent reminder emails, tons of community events! Aside from having to reintroduce myself to concierge everytime I visited the office all way swell...Thanks guys!

I moved here from Canada and I could not be more satisfied with the team I have met that has helped me throughout the way from day one interview with filling out paperwork to timely move in and incredibly efficient maintenance support during the year.     My daughter really likes the apartment complex and the location is great. Even more important for us in moving our daughter in from out of town, Lupe was of tremendous help in accommodating her move into the new apartment. He and others associated with the complex went above and beyond - no question - including keeping everyone well-informed during the move-in process.     Just moved in and Im loving it! Vanessa and Jeania helped me through the leasing and move-in process and made sure I had everything I needed. The apartments come with a Nest thermostat installed and bluetooth speakers in the walls. I looked at over a dozen apartment buildings around Dallas and didnt see that anywhere else. Also, the hardwood floors are super nice! Great quality staff and great quality apartments!

    Great building, location, and managmenet. Moved here from GlassHouse Windsor Property (terrible building and service). Uptown Trail is amazing, with great people in and around the neighborhood. Good shopping and food within walking distance. Safe and secure with plenty of parking, great outdoor grilling area for hosting friends. Small coffee shop for residents and pool hall area.

    This is an extremely convenient location to get to work for either Downtown Dallas or North Dallas/West Plano. This is unlike other parts of Uptown where you have to deal with some morning rushes on McKinney Avenue. Here at this location, your way is much less congested. You take a simple turn on Cedar Springs and then head directly to Downtown Dallas…in about 5 minutes. If you work in North Dallas or West Plano, or need to get to the DFW airport frequently, you have a very quick access to the North Dallas Tollway using Cedar Springs. You are on the Tollway in a few minutes…and can then zoom to North Dallas, West Plano or the North Dallas Tollway.This is a good area to get your walking in and enjoy the outdoors. There are plenty of sidewalks all around and more greenery here around than many other residences in Uptown. There arent many retail or businesses around in sight. And, then of course, there is the almost directly connected Katy Trail, on the other side of the Katy Trail Ice House.The feel of this area is pretty laid back and newer. There has been a lot of recent construction and newer developments, along with the neighborhood houses that are well maintained (and pricey). This is definitely an area on the rise, and a bit more tucked back, to avoid the crowds.The Gables Uptown Trail has some nice things about it...here are some:* Gorgeous Kitchens - I kind of am a sucker for a great kitchen. The kitchen in the apartment not only has some standard things (great appliances, stainless, great flooring), but they use the space very well. Even in the smaller one bedroom, there is plenty of surface space to cook with. Also, like the nice touch of the opaque glass cabinet doors and the somewhat daring subway tile colors. This kitchen works.* Quartz Countertops - They are not the typical granite, but more of a corian looking quartz. They are lighter, and a little different than the norm. Thank you for trying something different. I like it.* Bamboo Floors, even in the kitchen - nice enough to have bamboo floors...but when you add in that they extend into the kitchen...even nicer. It just makes the kitchen warmer.* Newer appliances - Already mentioned above, but the stainless steel appliances are appreciated.* Patios/Balconies INCLUDED - Not always included in Uptown, but here it is. I like how big the patio is on some of the 2 bedrooms...circular and huge!* Washer/dryer INCLUDED - The set is included. Big deal, when you have to rent a set for $40 a month!* Plenty of Cabinet Space - Ok, there I go again, talking about the kitchen. But, it really did have a lot!* Walk-In Closet space - check! - Enough space, definitely.* Room SIZE - good, fits the furniture I need.* WIRED FOR SOUND - Maybe my favorite feature overall. Plug in IPOD and feel the flow of the music throughout your apartment. Hit it, Bruno Mars...The Gables Uptown Trail could also has some AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT:* No walk in showers - In the 1 bedroom, there is the more typical tub/shower combo (think shower rings, curtain). Just so much less convenient than a walk in.* Need More Lighting - The lighting could improve in bedrooms in particular. They dont tend to have bigger windows and the provided lighting is not as bright as it could be.* Bedroom a bit bland - The bedroom is fine, but when it compares to the very nice outer parts (kitchen, dining), it could use a little more dressing up.* No Gas - Really would like to have a gas oven here.For more of my thoughts, please see Uptown101 .
