I absolutely love this property. Ive been here going on 3 years.Im 66 years old and have leased apartments all my life. Im so happy to call this my home.I feel so safe. Whenever I need maintenance they are on top of itThe office staff are are very friendly personable and professional.I constantly refer this property to anyone who is in the market to move.The pool is always clean and well maintained as well as other parts of the property.

So far so good! We decided to rent our home out and rent an apartment on the other side of town. We looked at many but came to The Roots and never left. We signed paperwork the same day with Samira who has been extremely helpful, friendly, and easy to work with. The management team has also been great. We have two motorcycles that we wanted in storage. They have gone out of their way to clean out apartment used storage units to accommodate us. Although, we rented the apartment early in the month we just started staying here two nights ago. So far we really like the apartment community and the team here!

I recently moved into Roots at OConnor and I couldnt be happier with my decision. From the moment I first toured the complex, I was impressed by the beautifully maintained grounds and the welcoming atmosphere.The management team especially Lynn has been exceptional. They are always responsive and go out of their way to ensure residents are comfortable and all concerns are addressed promptly. Maintenance requests are handled swiftly, often within the same day.The apartment itself is fantastic. The layout is spacious and well-designed. The modern appliances and finishes give the place a stylish and comfortable feel. I also appreciate the ample storage space and the convenience of in-unit laundry.One of the highlights for me is the amenities. The fitness center is well-equipped and never too crowded, making it easy to stick to my workout routine. The pool area is a great place to relax and unwind, and the community spaces, and barbecue area, are perfect for hosting friends and family.The location is another major plus. Its close to all the essentials. There are great restaurants, shopping centers, and parks nearby, and commuting is a breeze with easy access to major highways.Overall, living here has been a wonderful experience. Its a place I am proud to call home, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great living experience.

Living at Roots At OConnor for the past one and a half years has been a delightful experience. Sammys welcoming nature and excellent service made us sign the lease without hesitation. The location near 1604 offers convenient access to shopping centers and restaurants. The spacious, modern apartments feel like home, surrounded by beautiful oak trees and a stunning pool. Have lived here for 2 years and renewed for another year. the location is prime, layout of the apartments is spacious and homey, and the views of the trees are beautiful! lynn has always been so helpful and quick to answer any questions and maintenance has always efficiently resolved any maintenance issues that arise. i have enjoyed living here with a community of friendly neighbors and nice amenities for us and our dog. hopefully will move on to a house eventually but it will be bittersweet to leave here!

Me and my husband found this apartment in January and Sammy helped us every step of the way and her attitude hasn’t changed a bit she’s very kind and sweet. If we ever needed anything she was there on top of it. We officially moved in beginning of march and even to this day Sammy does not disappoint. The maintenance guys are on top of their stuff as well. Our dishwasher wasn’t turning on but I didn’t realize it was the breaker and yet the maintenance guy didn’t make me feel dumb he even showed me where to fix it. Overall a really great experience so far and the complex is clean and very pretty. The weekends you see people active with their fur babies and it’s very refreshing- go see Sammy if you need anything she’s amazing !

Lived at Roots from April 2021 to May 2024. The entire time I lived there, I lived in both a 1- and 2-bedroom apartment. The entire complex itself was nice, had 2 dogs parks, plenty of trees to walk and have shade plus it had a really nice pool. The fitness area/gym is small but besides that the time I lived there was extremely comfortable.

I recently moved here from Mississippi with my Company and I was looking for a safe and quiet place to stay. The management has by far exceeded my expectations. Clarissa, Alex and Genesis ( I cant fully remember if that is her correct name but she is the best) are extremely professional and respectful. Any issues I came across they have gone out their way to address and they will follow up with you. Maintenance here is A1, really professional and friendly. I had a this led light go out and just mentioned it to the maintenance guys and they came rolling around in seconds with a new light (you cant make this up).The property is professionally kept and maintained. Safety is my priority and so far I feel very safe and so does my girlfriend and son. There is trash service at your door and the apartments are fully equipped. Walk in closets, dishwasher, really fun pool that my 4 year old loves. Grills everywhere and a gym that my girlfriend loves.There are free office spaces that I love. I would recommend this place to any professional who wants to live in a professional environment but yet raise a kid, balcony garden, pet etc. I have no complaints seriously other than no elevator lol (Im lazy and TX is hot). I wanna say I’ve been at this community for approximately 5-7 months now. My experience here, as a whole has been one of the best experiences I’ve had in an apartment complex. The office staff is tremendous, but the person who I feel has been nothing, but a pleasure to work with is The assistant manager Linda. Not only is she one of the most welcoming people, she is also very kind and genuine. She really creates a home like feel to the property and I can’t thank her enough for her patience and kindness. As a whole, I am very pleased I happened to run into Roots at OConnor.

The staff is incredible. Sami, Linda and Lynn are a tremendous team and, collectively, their efforts greatly contributed to the facilitation and coordination of my moving experience. Sami, in particular, went above and beyond to navigate and guide every logistical matter concerning my out-of-state moving experience. Sami truly put forth a valiant and commendable effort to ensure the paperwork process and my move, in general, would go as smoothly as possible. She is a tremendous asset to this property and her professionalism, kindness and overall breadth of knowledge are the sole reasons why I choose the Roots at OConnor over the other neighboring properties.I have felt welcomed at this property and I love how it is very military-friendly as well.When I needed to schedule maintenance work, Sami quickly began to resolve those issues and she auccessfully coordinated all of the arrangements so I did not have to worry about anything as the issues were resolved in a prompt and timely manner. I highly value customer service and Sami excels marvelously in this avenue with her attentiveness and the overall care she lends to each resident. She is also a joy to interact with and she has made my experience here absolutely wonderful. Many thanks to her and the entire leasing staff.

My family and I love this apartment so much. We have been living here almost a year. Right now in spring time especially the view from balcony and windows is so adorable. I love the nature here and big green trees and beautiful gardens next to pool in front of the office.it is always clean and well-maintained. Samira is a gem, I am speechless with her stunning😍 customerservice. I love going to the office only because of her, each morning to have a coffee and talk to the amazing Samira, she makes my day every time i see her, She always helps us and we know that all questions we have can be easily asked and she is always there for everyone,she is very nice and helpful, me and all my family love her alot even the smallest members of our family love her alot. She is the reason we chose and enjoy this apartment.

First time walking into a property office feeling a genuine warm and welcoming by a warm presence. From the first inquiry phone call and throughout the whole applicant moving process was easy and smooth and I felt so at ease and taken care of. As we know moving is such a hassle. However I have never felt so relaxed and at ease during the process of applying getting approved and signing on to my new lease at Roots O’Conner. Great shout out to Sami! I will never forget her presence and personality which was very patient, sweet, kind, professional. She was at ready to answer my calls and to follow up with a callback as promised. She patiently answered all my questions and concerns. Did all the heavy lifting and work making me feel as if I had nothing to worry about which indeed I did not throughout the whole process. Let me not forget to mention how easy and quick the application process was. Getting approved was in the blink of an eye and that was no exaggeration. Sami went above and beyond staying later than expected to do what was necessary to confirm our application process and made sure everything was processed correctly. More importantly she had such a pleasant and courteous manner at that. The manager was professional, kind and responsive as well. I say all this to say. Your experience may be different than mine. Hopefully even better than mine. However, if so you I assure you that you will have an unforgettable experience at Roots O’Connor just as ours has been. All we can do is remain greatful with our hearts full of thanks. I give Roots O’Conner and my overall experience a 10 if possible. Realistically I give 4 1/2 star rating not because I was unsatisfied, yet there is always room for improvement to excel more than they already are excelling at. Not that it is needed of course. My family and I cannot wait for more with Roots O’Connor!

This place is amazing! Built very recently with new and attractive living spaces and amenities with great prices, its everything I was looking for. Moved two months ago! Really beautiful apartment for the price! I havent heard a peep since moving. I only hear neighbors dog when I am out in the hallway. The flooring seems really fragile. The door to door trash is nice! I have a one bedroom. Cannot speak for other style rooms as they are in different buildings.EDIT: new management has taken over and changed name from Vantage to The Roots and to be honest the trash problem has been solved! However, the management is SO RUDE. The ladies and one gentlemen who do tours are so sweet. But the management? Like they are upset for you coming in at all. Also, when I moved in priced were at $1200 1B. Move in dates of July 2024 on their website, my same apartment is showing at $2,200. So they are jacking up the prices for no reason. Every other complex for July of 2024 is still at $1,200 average. So idk what they think theyre on.

Every time I have an issue or question, the team has been responsive and transparent - they always have an answer or at least an update.As a dog owner, it makes me happy that its a super dog-friendly community. They have two dog parks (for big & small breeds) and a free dog wash area. (Attached photo)The community is brand new, clean, and peaceful - they have landscaping contractors who come out every Tuesday. They also mow units with private yards.Amenities - the gym is great and has a yoga room, the pool is awesome, they have Luxer One for packages, free printing, and free coffee and snacks. (theyre the good stuff)There is also a room with 4 study areas, along with a bigger conference room you can reserve.Overall, Ive been here for a little under a month, and really appreciate the open communication with the Vantage team, the amenities, and the comfort of living in a safe apartment complex! :)

Samira at the front desk was excellent she helped my son tremendously in getting a place and made sure that all his questions were answered. She worked with him to provide him the best price and excellent customer service. Amazing way to treat people and I cannot thank Sami enough for the help.

My five star rating is not so much for the complex itself but for the new management. I’ve read some of the reviews and I agree with them as far as pretty much almost all the information that they put on there, however that was under old management I live right by the pool and before there used to constantly be people there at 3 and even 4 o’clock in the morning playing loud music. since the new management has taken over that has stopped and I have seen less people leaving a mess around the pool area. I have also seen more of security walking the grounds whereas I did not before. So yes there are still several things that need to be improved however the new management has just taken over and they have addressed several issues, so for that reason is why I am give my rating. I have lived here for over a year now.

I had less than a week to sign a lease and move from Austin to San Antonio for a new job. Clarrissa was extremely helpful in getting a place secured for my roommate and I within a day we were approved and had a lease to sign. We even got a special! The office staff was so kind on move-in day and the complex itself is beautiful.The Fiber internet is extremely fast and units themselves are brand new and spacious. I cant really think of anything bad except I wish the gym had free weights. Im glad to call this place my new home!

We moved in when they were still Vantage at Oconnor, to a 1 bedroom and then when our lease was up we decided to transfer to a 2 bedroom right around the same time the new management (Roots at Oconnor) took over. Overall we love the actual apartments. Brand new washer and dryers in every unit, spacious kitchens and bathrooms. Only carpeting in the bedrooms and the spacious closets. Nice faux hardwood flooring, black appliances and high quality countertops and cabinetry.The trash valet is nice but $30 a month when they don’t even come every day (only Sun-Thur) and have missed pickup on numerous occasions is a little annoying. I’d rather save my $30 and take out my own trash.I enjoy the luxer wall to receive packages safely and reliably.One thing I don’t care for is the paint. The doors are painted in a latex type paint that chips if you reach for the door handle too quickly and hit your fingernail on it. And the walls are painted with this weird matte paint that if you accidentally splash something on it, when you try to wipe it off with a wet towel it smears the paint around and essentially leaves a stain. Easy way to rack up that move out cost$$$The gym is great except one of the treadmills has been out of order for nearly a year, and a free weight rack would be nice. Also kids go in there unattended and mess up equipment. But if the office is closed who are we really supposed to report that to?The pool area is hit or miss. It is a nice area but after office hours people bring 10 of their friends and trash the area, but again who are we supposed to tell if the office is already closed?I had reported to management that there are large gaps under the fencing that divides our apartment from the neighboring one and that I had repeatedly seen people slipping under the fence to come into the complex. Have yet to see that remedied.Numerous neighbors have had break ins and parts stolen from their vehicles, mostly big trucks. And my husband had his trailer stolen. But we haven’t ran into any domestic disputes or unruly activity from neighbors.I’d really love to see some more active security in the complex.I have found both apartments we lived in to be pretty well sound proofed. I don’t hear much outside activity except for when the lawn service comes.Would also love to see some community activities or events. When under vantage management they would put together some events but usually didn’t announce them until the day of so we usually couldn’t attend. Have a winter door decorating contest or a brunch in the office kitchen area sometime. Something to offer a sense of community.The new staff is friendly but a bit disorganized (they’ve seemed to have settled in a bit better than when they first took over so hoping for more improvement in the future) and sometimes unprofessional.One staff member said “that’s retarded” when on the phone with me. And the emails are usually riddled with typos (they still have the address at the bottom of their emails listed as loop 1064 instead of 1604) and composed as if a teenager was texting their friend.Overall this is a pretty nice place to live. There’s no way to make every resident 100% happy and there’s always room for improvement.

This place is just about a year or two old, so the place still looks well kept. Staff seems friendly and the 1 bedroom units I viewed are nice. Bathrooms have nice tile work and not cheap plastic. I defiantly would consider living here since only less than half of their of units are occupied so i will have lots of choices. The units I viewed have a full washer and dryer units already installed, which is a nice touch.

Genesis helped me a ton in getting into this apartment! Shes super nice and everyones best friend here! I needed an apartment asap and she scheduled me in for a tour right away and directly before closing. She even stayed an additional hour after to make sure I could tour the complex without being rushed or pressured as well as having all my questions answered! The apartment complex is very luxurious and comfortable which is a hard mix. Its very new too. A place that can easily carry the at home feeling. I applied that same Saturday night. Even though applications werent looked at on Sundays, she totally went full force and was able to get the application reviewed and accepted over the weekend!!! Absolutely impressive! Btw they have better reviews than any of the other apartments I researched throughout Texas and thats saying something bc I looked at a huge variety!

Apartments are decent. Management is really nice. Only a few things are bad - neighbors are loud. Front doors always slamming from multiple apts and can hear music/bass through the walls. All I can say is request a 3rd floor, if you are not on the 3rd floor you will be in for one hell of a ride. You hear absolutely everything. From stomping to TVs to couples making love etc. New management is pretty dope they seem to be more on the things that old management ignored. Take it from someone who has lived on the 2nd floor and is now on the 3rd floor.

The best place where they have been super attentive if something is damaged they arrive the same day to repair it, the walls are thin you can hear the noise sometimes but it is not something that affects the truth it is a good place everything is clean sometimes the problem is not the people who work there if not those who live there because they dont take care of the place the workers try to have everything clean and perfect but some people (not all) do not take care of the place for example the pool they take and leave dirty and well it is the duty of the who live there take care I also barely moved the place but I loved it, I didnt want to move but I already wanted a house but I do recommend the place
