Review 1 (2024-10-30 - Rating: 4)
Update 10/30/2024I did speak with Veronica and I am updating the rating based on how much I do genuinely like the staff at the property. She did make me aware that they did not know the renovation projects were going to be back to back as they have been.It was a pleasant conversation and I do appreciate her reaching out to try and resolve the issues.Original PostAs much as I like the community, my neighbors, the living space, and the staff, every single comment about the construction and renovations are 100% spot on.Shortly after moving here I ended up with multiple nails in my tires due to the construction workers leaving nails and screws all over the place, which resulted in a fun $600 charge for me to replace all of my tires. I stepped on a nail while walking my dog, which my dog easily could have stepped on or tried to eat.The construction crews take up the very limited parking we have while the roads are being redone leaving everyone else to fight for a parking spot, often making people park horribly resulting in damage to vehicles. They also leave garbage and food lying around. And when they were doing the siding on our building, I understood it was going to be loud and obnoxious but the workers would hear my dog barking because he was stressed from the sound and they would BARK AT HIM and agitate him even more. They also put a hole in our wall with a nail gun roughly centimeters from a very expensive floor mirror I own.I know some of these issues are no fault of the company however because they hired the crews that caused these issues I have to mention it.Again, if you’re basing living here on the staff and the inside of your physical apartment alone, I would say it’s great. But outside of all that has been nothing but a nightmare. -

I absolutely love living at The Park on Memorial! I was so thrilled to find a one-bedroom downstairs unit in this area, as I really wanted to stay in the neighborhood. The recent renovations, including the new parking areas, have significantly improved the property. My move from Memorial West was a fantastic upgrade! I went from a cramped 635 sq ft to a spacious 810 sq ft for just $30 more per month – its an incredible value. I especially appreciate the quiet and peaceful atmosphere, and I even enjoy hearing the St. Vianney Catholic Church bells chime twice an hour. The maintenance staff is incredibly responsive and friendly, and the leasing office always keeps residents well-informed. Im incredibly happy with my decision to move to The Park on Memorial and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to live.I hope this review is helpful! -

Since my 1st phone call I have had a great experience with POM! Robert was the first person I spoke with and he provided above and beyond customer care. I called from NC and needed a place in a few months but had no time to fly from the East Coast to just look. Robert facetimed me and showed me every inch of the unit I would be moving in to, as well as pictures! And he did it in the rain!!! Ingrid made sure that all of my verification documents were received and always returned my calls. I was super nervous to move across country with 2 small children but they made it easy! Since I have been here, the property manager, Jessica, has been nothing but fair, understanding and straight forward. She truly considers all the residents needs and tries her hardest to accommodate what she can. The maintenance team is just awesome! They are efficient, polite and hardworking! My husband was locked out at 4am and I was on the East Coast, Joe got out of his bed to let my husband in the house!! I was so thankful!!! When you move here you get more than a gated security monitored property, with a pool, gas grills, bike access, gym, business center, 5 day valet trash and beautiful landscape! You also get friends and family! I love the office staff, the maintenance team and my neighbors!!! I feel completely safe and happy here! Did I mention my children’s school, restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores, medical offices, parks and more are walking distance!!! Best move I have ever made in my 35 years of living!!! P.S. I just renewed my lease!!! And you should also know that my children and I are very picky! Also, most of the staff lives here, now that says alot!!! -

I have lived here for over a year now. It’s been a very pleasant and peaceful neighborhood. The staff keep you informed about what is happening with the property there is a lot of construction going on now but at least you know that your money is going into the property to improve your environment. Staff is very helpful and professional that includes maintenance staff. If you like trees and outdoor scenery you will enjoy Park on Memorial -
Review 5 (2024-10-14 - Rating: 5)
Really nice people and staffUpdate: the construction has been downright harassing. Nails nails raining nails. Slipped on a nail and hurt my tailbone in the stars. Often I would wake up to nail guns or a random construction worker on my balcony. Keep your blinds closed! This has been going on nearly half a year. Now they will do the parking lot. Caught a worker dumping paint thinner into the dumpster. Letting anybody live her. Weird neighbors now. No smoking at pool but everyone smokes bc of no smoking sign. Kids popping out of all the blind spots in the parking lots. They never enforce the rules. Force you to pay for garbage service when you can do it yourself no opting out. The construction is torture and finally dying down. So many people have left. Only good thing are the maintenance workers and it is very quiet at night at least. They are asking us to walk through a locked gate for construction -

I enjoyed my stay here for 3 years. The apts could have been better cared for but I was not bothered or nagged. They did have some plumbing issues and the watering omglol but not terrible. If they upgraded, it’s a place I’d stay again. -

Park on memorial is a great community! I’ll be renewing my lease! Quiet community with extremely helpful staff. Any maintenance issues that I’ve had they respond within the hour. -
Review 8 (2024-07-30 - Rating: 5)
My experience: I actually seen these apartments about a year ago online but I was still in a lease and forgot about them. I filled out info on apt app and Cindy reached out to me and showed me units the same day. Cindy was awesome! Very through. She knew exactly who I was when I walked through the door which was an added touch. My experience with her was great.Units: Cindy showed me three options in a 1bed. Traditional, 2020 update, and modern update (2024). I opted for the 2020 update because it had a good balance of modern and traditional and the floorplan was amazing. Not to mention I have a fire place and 11...12ft ceilings. What I Love: The community is filled with trees and lushes landscape. This place feels like an escape from the city. Not to mention its very walkable. This area is more walkable than midtown and I lived there a year. The neighbors are friendly and from what I can tell majority of the residents clean up behind their dogs. Also, there isnt a lot of foot traffic in front of my door because my building only has 4 doors. No need for a ring camera.Final Words: This apt complex is a retreat. Very peaceful and quiet. Im looking forward to the upgrades on the exterior as well as the gym. The application process took a lil longer than expected but Cindy was awesome. Beyond helpful and kind. -
Review 9 (2023-01-05 - Rating: 5)
So far so good! Jeremy is awesome a leasing professional and has made our moving experience a breeze. All my concerns were addressed in a timely manner over phone and in person with him. The park was accommodating during our application process, Ashley worked with us in getting approved which was greatly appreciated. The upfront deposit was probably the only downside but was understandably required. -
Review 10 (2024-06-01 - Rating: 5)
I was really hesitant to tour this place due to some of the reviews but I am so glad I did. Their floor plans are very spacious. I toured with Cindy and she showed me a couple layouts for the one bedrooms and really took her time to find the floor plan that fit my needs. I even met Ashley and the manager . Everyone was super friendly. I think it’s fair to say that there are not enough good things to say. The place is really well kept and She even mentioned what was going on and what I could expect this year with the renovations that they are doing. The main reason I liked this place was because it was a couple minutes from work and really close to the Terry Hershey trail. The location is great and the girls even recommended places to try for food. -
Review 11 (2023-10-10 - Rating: 4)
Nice and quiet, love the natural trees. Its an older property so as long as youre aware renovated doesnt mean new, then its a good place to live. Maintenance is always quick and friendly. -
Review 12 (2024-05-30 - Rating: 5)
Leasing office and maintenance team are incredible and are always asking if there’s any way they can help us. I honestly love the landscaping they’ve done already to help clean up the property. It makes it so much easier especially if you have a dog to clean up after on walks not having to walk through thorns -
Review 13 (2024-05-29 - Rating: 5)
I went to tour with my friend the other day and first of all.. I have lived in houston my whole life and I didn’t even know this apartment complex was here. Like the staff said “ it feels like an escape from the city as soon as you go in through the gate”. The two bedroom was perfect for both of us, enough space in the closet and I really liked the open layout and I know my friend really like the open kitchen. We even got to see the new building color and it’s so pretty! They did mention that they did some tree trimming but I can honestly say that it’s no desert like a review said below. There are lots of trees and with the storms we have been having I’m happy they did it. Safe to say this will be our new home! Can’t wait. -

Its been a wonderful six months for us in Park on Memorial 😍 We really feel safe in this locality. Till now we didnt face any issues with the property and people here. The immediate response from the maintenance team is very much appreciated. -

I toured the Park on Memorial last week and I cant stop thinking about it. I toured a one bedroom and the staff was super friendly!! I loved the renovated finish (honestly cant stop thinking about it). They even went over some of the upcoming renovations like the new building color and fitness center and I cant wait for it either . Ahh Im actually really excited. Thank you for being so welcoming! -

If Snow White were to rent an apartment in Houston, it would be at The Park on Memorial! The community is so charming, and its nestled in an amazing neighborhood close to all my favorite restaurants. What makes this place really special though is the team. Veronica, Ashley and Cindy are very welcoming and super responsive. Thank you for such a great experience! -
Review 17 (2022-09-30 - Rating: 5)
I love it here. There is honestly nothing bad I could say about this place. The staff is so sweet and accommodating, and they are always planning fun little activities for the residents. They also have food trucks come every so often for us! The floor plans are really really well done too, it’s effortless to turn any one of these units into a home. The maintenance guys are also EXTREMELY helpful, and anything that needs to be done is always done in a timely manner. One thing that really sets this place apart is the gate security. They have 24 hr security at the gate, and the people who work in the guard shack are awesome! As a new mom, the security here is something I have very much come to appreciate. Also, they are pet friendly as well! My dog has made friends with so many dogs in this complex, and the staff are always so sweet to him too. With all these accommodations, it’s honestly crazy how reasonable the cost of living is here. I am from Austin and am used to crazy high rent prices so maybe I’m biased, but you cannot put a price on living this comfortably. -
Review 18 (2023-10-06 - Rating: 5)
I went in to acquire leasing information and to scope out the property. First off, the property looks really nice, full of greenery and open space. The pool looks well maintained even though winter time is upon us. The leasing agent was very friendly and super helpful with all of my questions. The property itself didn’t look overran with trash everywhere, and vegetation looked freshly trimmed. Overall a very good experience, will definitely come back -

This is my second time living at Park on Memorial. I lived here from 2017-2020 and moved back in 2022. When the new management originally took over, it was a bit of a rocky start however, I can honestly say that currently, its great. Maintenance has always been on point (shoutout to Yonas and Danny) and the new manager Veronica has been super involved and easy to work with; I havent had to call the office for any complaints but the average, mundane interactions Ive had with her were very smooth and not difficult. The apartments as a whole are super homey and cozy. For the location & price, you honestly cannot beat it. I love POM and will live here until I purchase a home. -

Review 21 (2023-07-31 - Rating: 4)
After 4 years of living here. It does feel like home and I will miss it. Make sure you check your lease agreements. 60 day renewal notice with 6 days to actually decide or you get sucked into another month of unfettered rent. Great place but need 30 days at least to decide if Im staying or not like at most places. -
Review 22 (2018-03-02 - Rating: 5)
I absolutely LOVE The Park on Memorial. Jessica, Amanda, Leslie, and Alex are all amazing. Even the Maintenance/Janitorial staff! From the forest like trees surrounding the complex which blocks off the busy highway and city like noise. to the pool that is just as beautiful as can be and always so clean and free of debris. Majority of the tenants we have met since being there are very social and respectful. They respond very quickly to anything and everything, when it comes down to a work order or even a complaint etc. Making sure everyone is in a safe environment! Very pet friendly, with dog waste stations throughout the complex, which I love! Very quiet place. No excessively loud noise at night which is awesome since I have kids! They even have bikes you can rent with no charge to go enjoy a ride at Terry Hershey Park! Just awesome. Which is more of a reason why I renewed my lease to extend my 2 year stay to 3! -
Review 23 (2017-07-24 - Rating: 4)
As my first apartment in Houston, this place is great. Location is nice and tucked away from all the hustle and bustle, with the trees blocking a lot of the highway and city noise. The trees are enjoyable as they provide a lot of shade and add a good scenery. Being a bike ride away from the park is great and allows you access to a green area that the complex does not provide. The front office has been very helpful and nice since I looked at the apartment. They regularly remember who I am, and are helpful with packages. The maintenance is great as they have almost always fixed the issue the next business day after submitting a request. The only issue would be parking as certain areas have limited spaces for the number of tenants in the area. This also makes having visitors sometimes tough.Overall, great place to live with no major downfalls! -

The weekend I drove to Houston to search for apartments, I stayed at the Omni on Eldridge. I drove to different apartment properties but I was not feeling the atmosphere. Before I returned home to Northeast Louisiana, I decided to stop at the Park on Memorial and it was the best decision that I made.I have lived here for 16 months (time flies) and I am very satisfied with the property. The staff is very friendly and energetic. Maintenance requests are handled quickly. I feel very secure when I am on the property. I went back to Louisiana for a few weeks and accidentally sent an Amazon order to my apartment. I thought I canceled the order but when I returned to my apartment, the package was in front if my door. I was away for three weeks and no one took my package. The apartments are solidly built. Once I enter my apartment, I forget that I have neighbors. Also, the property is VERY quiet. There is also a 24 hour security guard at the gate entrance. I am pleased that the security guard makes notes about guests entering the property. If you are searching for an apartment in the Energy Corridor,, I highly recommend this place. My experience has been great! -

I walked into Park on Memorial last Friday and had the best experience I’ve ever had while apartment searching. They were my first stop. From the moment I walked in, Cindy greeted me and answered all my questions throughly. I met Ashley and she was able to share more information of the area. -

My husband and I are proud to call this place our home for almost a year now! The entire management staff is just AWESOME! They are so personable and they truly care about each and every one of their tenants. Its great to come home and feel like we are in the country and can just relax with a beautiful view from our balcony. Not to mention - this property is within walking distance to Terry Hershey Park, our personal favorite now. This is a fairly quiet complex as well, which was a huge deal to us. Neighbors are not loud and everyone is very mature. You wont regret signing a lease here! -

First of all I want to say how much I love living at The Park on Memorial. I also want to commend the staff, Veronica and Ashley. Thank you for the standard in employing such exceptional personnel! -

About 5 months ago, I was touring what felt like every apartment in the city, and I had heard about The Park on Memorial through a friend who had recently moved in here. When I came to tour the apartments, I instantly forgot that I was living in the middle of a city. It is so quiet, except for the occasional church bell, but you block it out after while. You feel like you are living in a tree house! The apartments are so roomy, homey, and everyone is a different layout with different features. You will have the occasional bug (spiders) (they do not bother you and eat other bugs) or an Amarillo because you are close to the bayous and Terry Hershey Park. If you have any problems with your apartment, the maintenance men are there to help and they are so sweet. They get the jobs done correctly and efficiently. The staff at POM are helpful and wonderful as well! When I first toured, I was greeted by Robert. He is always smiling, ready to help if you need something, and had a ton of patiences, even when asked 3,000 questions (not literally) about the apartments. He was very knowledgable on his apartments, and had great answers for those all those questions! He helped me find the best apartment! Jessica, the leasing manager, is amazing and helpful! She was always there to answer my 3,000 questions. Her personality is bubbly and she cares about each resident.10/10 would recommend POM! -
Review 33 (2020-10-07 - Rating: 5)
My toddler and I just recently moved to this property and we love it already. Robert took great care of us, and made my move very smooth. And Jessica followed up with me afterwards, which was very personable. The neighbors have also been very welcoming! I also just love how great the maintenance men keep up with the property, there are so many trees but it’s so well trimmed and clean all of the time. I’m very proud to tell my family members to come visit me at the Park. Thanks you guys! -

I cannot say enough how much I love living here. It is quiet, peaceful and serene. The forest like environment is amazing. The pool area is beautiful. The staff, Jessica, Leslie, Alex and Amanda are absolutely wonderful. They truly care, know everyone by name and are always on top of everything. I do not think you will find a better maintenance team either. They keep everything around us top notch. The low turnover speaks volumes!! -
Review 35 (2018-12-11 - Rating: 5)
Ive lived at The Park on Memorial going on 10 years, and Ive loved being here the entire time. The apartments are spacious, the grounds are wooded/unique, and the pool area is prettier than any apartment pool area Ive ever seen. The entire staff ALWAYS makes it a point to be attentive to my needs, and helps me out in any way possible. If I need a repair - they come right away. Jessica, Amanda, Leslie, Alex, Joe, and the other maintenance staff work long hours; they throw awesome, fun, family friendly parties with great food, and bring in a different food truck every month. (All of this happens, by the way, with no noise - its quiet and Ive never had one problem with noise from the parties or neighbors.) I feel they make it a point to go the extra mile to make our community here special. My neighbors have become my very close friends - Ive always felt good about raising my family here! During Harvey we all pulled together as neighbors; the staff worked diligently and stayed on property (24 hrs a day, with no power) to make sure we were all ok and cared for the entire time. I could go on and on...its just a great place to live :) -
Review 36 (2022-02-03 - Rating: 5)
Ive lived here since November. They recently changed ownership, but kept the same management; Jessica, Robert and Ingrid and the new lady (forgive me I cant remember her name). This has been a great place to live. Management is extremely friendly and responsive to the residents, maintenance is very quick, even when short staffed. The place is CLEAN! That was a huge selling point for me. There are not weird people hanging all over the property and the 24 hour gate attendant is also another huge selling point for me. Now...its going to be hard to get a place here. It stays full. That also says something so when something comes open and they ask you to put that deposit down, I can assure you, it is not to try to screw you like some other places. I literally lost the first unit because I didnt. Its because they stay full all the time. I want to keep staying here as long as I can. -
Review 37 (2017-07-26 - Rating: 5)
At our 12-month renewal, we renewed as long as we could. Love the feel of a park at this site. Staff is friendly, courteous and effective. Particularly like the pool area design for its shade, a plus for the whole site really. Maintenance gets done pretty efficiently, if not always well communicated. Most of the people weve met are quite friendly; nice place to walk your dog. Apartment noise insulation seems fairly good, in the tests me and my neighbor have done. -
Review 38 (2017-07-25 - Rating: 4)
I absolutely ADORE this apartment complex! My family and I moved in about a month ago and so far it has been an exceptional experience. The office staff are so helpful and at your call for EVERYTHING. Were surrounded by greenery, which I love, and are relatively in the center of everything which makes commuting around town a breeze. The only indifference in the constant construction along Memorial, but if youre familiar with Houston you already know that comes with the territory. -

Enjoy living here. Management, leasing office, maintenance people are excellent. The wooded park throughout the property is delightful. Residents are friendly with several now friends. Nice private feeling all around. May 2019: Continue to enjoy living at The Park on Memorial. Excellent staff & apartments. Meeting many people who lived here 20+ years. -

The team at Park on Memorial has been absolutely amazing! Ashley and Veronica are super sweet and and helpful. Maintenance fixes work orders fast so you don’t feel forgotten about. The property is so quiet and serene, you won’t find another place like this one. -
Review 41 (2019-03-13 - Rating: 5)
My experience here has been great, from being greeted at the gate by the security guard to feeling at home before I even signed the lease. Everyone here including the residents are one big family that lives in the forest, and is one of the highlights of the move. The apartment complex doesn’t feel like a compound but more less a cottage on a hillside.Being a rock throw away from Terry Hershey park is a perk in itself... having the nicest mountain bike trails in the Houston area. In short , I would recommend stopping by and seeing for yourself how nice it is. If you have made it this far reading this review I’m sure you are curious. Hope you enjoy your stay. -

Ive lived here since June of 2021 and for the most part I ABSOLUTELY love residing here. The management team: Jessica, Robert, Ingrid and a new addition to the crew whos name I do not remember, have been WONDERFUL to work/interact with. The property underwent a major sale to Greystar and many residents werent happy. Several residents decided not to renew.Currently, Greystar has taken away the designated covered parking spot each unit is allotted in their contract. They have also implemented Valet Trash for $25 a month for 3 pick up days. That is a WHOPPING $300.00 a year one could be saving or investing just to throw your trash away! The dumpster is next to my designated parking spot. Now I am having to make more maintenance and pest control calls for situations I have never experienced before, and weve been inconvenienced on more than a few occasions. I get it, the property requires upkeep, but at the extent of our comfort in our refuge?Nonetheless, POM is wonderful and I totally love it here, hence why I am so passionate at keeping its level of service and legacy intact. -

I LOVE The Park on Memorial apartments. I have lived here 10 years now and I have no plans of leaving. As a single female I have found a place to truly call home. The entire staff seems to really care about you and go the extra mile to help you when you need it. The apartment itself is spacious and they even let me paint my walls. My apartment has high ceilings, a wall of windows that look out to a patch of trees, and big kitchen where there is room enough to move around in (not the usual tiny kitchens at other places). The complex also plans fun get togethers. They have had a movie night at the pool, wine tasting night, Halloween party and recently an awesome Luau. The pool is beautiful and has been the perfect place for me to de-stress on the weekends of to beat the heat. When I have friends over we like to hang at the cabana and make dinner on the gas grills. I highly, highly, highly recommend The Park on Memorial if you are looking for a place to call home without all the hassles of owning your own house. (It my sound like I work for them, but I dont. I just love my apartment.) -
Review 44 (2021-05-24 - Rating: 4)
I love the property, it’s well maintained and the leasing office is very friendly. I would highly recommend living here if you DONT have Children. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars because I feel like it isn’t a kid friendly community. The children can’t play w/o Cars flying threw the parking lot. My daughter is a Type 1 Diabetic , so she likes to ride her bike and play outside for exercise . Unfortunately I recently stopped her from playing outside because cars are constantly speeding through the parking lot ... Outside of that this property is Beautiful and the neighbors are friendly! If I didn’t have Children I would live here forever ! -
Review 45 (2017-06-23 - Rating: 5)
Ive lived in apartments pretty much my whole life. Park on Memorial is definitely one of the nicest ones, but what really convinced me to move here and soon to renew my lease this year is the office team. There has not been a time where I have expressed a concern or needed something done that the Park on Memorial team have not jumped to assist me with. They are constantly doing big and little things for their residents. They care, and that just adds that little extra something that you dont get a lot of in other apartment complexes. So a big shout out and thanks to Manager Jessica and her awesome team for making this feel like a home. Keep up the great work! -

My son and I just moved to this community, and we are ecstatic, delighted, and so grateful to be treated in such a professional manner, from Kathy, the Assistant Property Manager. From the time we came to view the apartment, Kathy had and still have a warming, welcoming disposition. She not only answered our questions, without hesitation, she explained the ENTIRE leasing process to us, at the initial viewing, and she was very knowledgeable. When we moved in, we got that WOW factor moment. Everthing was picture perfect in our apartment, and I thank Katy for making this possible. Kathy KUDOS, you are a woman who keeps her word, and very honest, and I like honestly in an individual. Fresh paint job, new carpet, that new home smell, in a apartment, which is not like any normal apartment, but a apartment HOME!! I even enjoyed the sounds of the crickets and the birds, from my bedroom window, when I woke up this morning.😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😆😆😆😆 I also got a chance to meet 2 of the maintenance personnel, and they were professionals as well. Thats a great start!! Oh, a plus, that bathtub, made me feel as though I was bathing at a 5 star hotel, oh YEA!!! -
Review 47 (2017-07-24 - Rating: 5)
My husband and I have lived at the Park on Memorial for a little over a year now. We were drawn to the apartments because of how secluded they are, it does not feel like youre in the middle of the city. We have been impressed with the management and Jessica has been amazing. It is very rare to be on a first name basis with the property manager of an apartment complex, but Jessica makes sure that each tenant is given the respect they deserve (after all we are the ones paying to live here). If you are looking to live in the Energy Cooridor we highly recommend Park on Memorial. You will not be disappointed. -

I really enjoyed being a resident here. The property is quiet and the residents are friendly. The management, staff and maintenance are always kind, courteous and quickly respond to any requests for maintenance. The property is well maintained and rent is very reasonable for the area. I received my full security and refundable portion of the pet deposit back and would recommend this community to anyone looking for somewhere that feels like home. -

TDLR - Friendly attentive management, Friendly neighbors, and Responsive Maintenance crew,I was a resident at the Park for two years and in all my years of apartments, it is by far my favorite. I mustve ended up with a newly renovated apartment because everything was perfect inside. I was even afraid to have my dog there.I loved all the trees which made my morning walks with my dog enjoyable and its close enough to Terry Hershey Park to walk there. I was also close enough to walk to work. How cool is that? The staff and neighbors were always friendly even with my my vicious dog.I missed not having the food truck there during Covid and getting to know my neighbors a bit. Maybe it will be back.Maintenance was great and always responded to work orders, usually within the hour, even if it was on a Sunday.I really miss not being there but my gf is stuck with me now. I would definitely move back if I was going to choose to live in an apartment again. -

I migrated to be with my wife four months ago and the management team members; Jessica, Leslie, Alex and Amanda have been awesome - each in his/her own way. They impressively attend to any technical complaints about the apartment and also receive packages for us. If Im not mistaken, the residents have been hosted in about three parties at the apartment office so far since I moved in.Those stationed at the guardhouse are also nice people. -

I just renewed my contract to stay another year here (which will be my second). I love the nature on the grounds and the wild animals- racoons, cats, I saw my first armadillo here! .- the pool areas really nice as well. If you need something and let the office know, they get it done pretty quickly. Very friendly staff and fun events -I wish there were more! I just moved to an upper story apartment and theres much more light than the lower one I was at before. Some of the appliances are new which is nice and others are given to you very clean. Two things I really dont like is that they seem to not be eco friendly or water saving appliances and that there is not a recycling program on-site.People complain a lot about the parking here but it really doesnt bother me to walk a little to get to my place - its a great way to exercise without thinking about it. My car fits perfectly in my spot. There have been some cars broken into in the parking lot. One even got stolen. All cars were left unlocked and the stolen one had left the keys in it! -it was found. Ive never had any problems but I also dont leave mine unlocked with the keys... Plus, theyve taken measures to prevent it from happening again. Also, more lighting would be good at night. I do like the atmosphere it creates without having ugly, bright lights, but there are pretty options that Ive heard theyre looking into. -

At the time of this writing (January 2020), the only reason Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the road construction along Memorial Drive. I lived here for 2 years, and I only left because my commute was too long. My unit was spacious and had lots of natural light coming in. The property is very pleasant even to walk around, having many mature trees which provide shade in the summer and which help filter out highway noise from I-10. Even though the interstate is only a few blocks away, I never heard it. The community is also managed well. Maintenance requests are handled quickly and efficiently, and the staff hold near-monthly events and parties for residents to gather and get to know each other--in the summer months, the first Friday is Food Truck Friday, where they bring in a different food truck and set up picnic tables next to it. -

I stumbled upon the park on memorial 4 years ago when I was branching out on my own as a young professional. Jessica and everyone in the office has made me feel so welcome and comfortable living there, they know everyone by name and send out birthday cards every year to residents; which I personally love. It’s such a quiet community and feels so secluded with all the surrounding trees. I always recommend the park on memorial when asked! -

I have been residing at park on memorial over 5 years, I adore the place, it is very peaceful and nice neighborhood . The place is wonderful because of the manager Jessica and her amazing teams ALEX, Leslie, Amanda, the maintenance service team and the concierge team. They are always happy to help, keep you update in any service needed to the building you stay in.Follow up to make sure that your service request is completed properly.Lastly they always invite you to a seasonal party in their lobby so the neighbors meet each other and socialize.Thank you so much for all the hard work !! -

My husband and I love living here. Its the first place we found since moving to Houston that we truly feel at home. The atmosphere is peaceful and the community is friendly and I cant say enough good things about the staff, they are fantastic! If youre looking for a place to call home and a quiet corner tucked away from the City without the long commutes, I highly recommend the Park on Memorial. -

Ive been here for 3 years and my husband moved in with me after we got married 2 years ago. We absolutely love it here! Ive known the office team, Jessica, Amanda, and Leslie ever since I moved here and they have been nothing but kind, enthusiastic, helpful, and gracious towards me and my husband. They are always going the extra mile, and they maintain an endless amount of professionalism. This is our first time ever living in an apartment complex where the office team makes us literally feel like we are seen, heard, loved, and apart of their family. The maintenance team is amazing and they respond very very quickly and effectively to service requests. They work so hard and have warm, welcoming, and helpful spirits. Every person that works here makes it their priority to make everyone feel at home. They have created such a wonderful community here at the POM by hosting many events to bring everyone together. For example, Food truck Fridays, Taco Tuesdays, pool parties, etc. During Hurricane Harvey my husband and I left the property to stay with family. When we came back our neighbors told us all about how everyone came together with the POM Team (everyone who works at the Park on Memorial) each evening and sat by the pool, sharing food, laughs, music, great conversation, etc. The POM team also spent every day helping as much as they could. This past August they hosted a Harvey Survival Party to honor how everyone looked out for each other during such a tough time. This is something that is unheard of, but thats how it is here. The POM team has really created a culture of community. We are so blessed to live here. I thank God each day for giving us the opportunity to live in such a warm, safe, and friendly environment here at the Park on Memorial. From DAY ONE I never felt like a resident; I felt like family. POM Team, you will always have a place in our hearts. We will never forget yall for your hard work, your love, and your generosity. God bless you! -

My husband and I moved here after leaving a home nearby. Our plan was to rent for one year and then move on. We have been here 4 years and most likely will stay another. We just cant think of a good reason to leave and buy a home right now. The grounds are beautifully wooded; we feel like we live in a treehouse! If we have an issue such as a disposal not working, they have always responded in a few hours. The management is fantastic and we love the manager Medley. I wish there were garages but everything else makes up for it. -

We have been here since December, I love this place it feels like home. Its a paradise hidden in the city. Its a piece of peace in the middle of the busy city. The office personal have been very helpful and attentive. You can walk to different stores or the park or even better ride a bike if you want to enjoy the nature at the Terry Hershey Park. The only suggestion, more lights surrounding the buildings and parking lots. -

I have lived in Houston for 8 years and 2 years here at Park on Memorial. This has been my absolute favorite living experience in Houston. I love driving home through the forest. The landscape makes me feel like Ive escaped the city. I also feel like the shade contributes to lower electricity bills. I have enjoyed the floor plan of our apartment, particularly the large kitchen and laminate flooring. The office staff has always been helpful and make it a point to know thier residents. I am a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church which is back to back with Park on Memorial. It has been wonderful to live this close to the most important thing in my life. I highly recommend this community! -

Nothing is perfect but The Park is far and away better than anything else youll find in an apartment. Professional staff, great maintenance, and a uniquely quiet and secluded property. Could do without the bugs but its only because this place is nestled in the woods and the trees are actually quite lovely. Very good, safe, quiet place to live. -

I agree, it is important to fully read reviews. What do I know? Im just a happy camper. Do I always get what I want from management? No, but I know quality and good service when I see it. This is another fantastic Fingers property!!! Youll find everything you need in a home. The residents are simply wonderful. Everyone is friendly and caring. Of course, there will always be a bad apple or two. Thats life. The property is wonderfully shaded. You wont find a concrete jungle here. Not only do the trees and shrubs help with the electricity, they provide a buffer from the street noise (and guess what, Texas has bugs). Once management treats your apartment, you have to keep it up. Use bug spray. The employees all have attitudes of Residents First and Take care of it now. There is security and believe me, if you have no business on the property, you wont get in. It is great to know there is a gym to go to if it rains, or I if decide to discontinue my expensive gym membership. I remind myself that not every property has a gym. Fingers has very high standards and you can rest assured that this property meets all of those standards. Mr. Finger should be proud of himself, his employees, and his properties. -

A wonderful community that makes you feel like youre not in the big city. The complex is heavily wooded, which I really enjoy. Here in this concrete jungle of Houston, sometimes being one with nature is difficult. Not while you’re here. Everyday I come home it is like I am escaping the craziness of the city. It is a laid back community with management that knows how to keep its residents entertained. It is a very clean and well maintained community and I really enjoy living here! -

Review 66 (2017-07-29 - Rating: 5)
I’ve lived in many different apartment complexes over the past 8 years or so because my husband travels often for work and his work requires him to relocate approximately every 3 to 6 months. Just as a side note we also have two children with Autism so our family has “special needs” as a whole. We were lucky to have spent a totally of 7 months at The Park on Memorial (I’ll call it PoM for short, lol) before having to relocate very recently. I’ve never felt more at home at an apartment complex as I did at the PoM. The staff are truly nothing short of exceptional. Jessica, Leslie, Alex, Amanda and Joe are the staff members I had the pleasure of interacting with the most. They have been the kindest and most understanding people in regards to our needs in so many ways, like allowing me to stop by the office to pick up a package 15 minutes after closing because I couldn’t get the boys out the door fast enough, or running my packages out to me really quick because my boys were having a bad day and I couldn’t make it into the office. These might be small things to many people but the smallest acts of help and kindness make all the difference in our day to day lives. I don’t know if I can really put the experience into words but they made our living experience personal. Every time I saw them they’d ask how my children are doing or ask how my day was and every time I spoke with them I’d leave with a smile on my face. They truly made us feel like a part of the Park on Memorial family. All of my neighbors were very friendly and polite when I ran into them wether while I was out walking around the complex or swimming at the pool and they seemed understanding and accepting of my children’s “quirks”. I couldn’t attend all of the monthly community events but the ones I was able to make it to I definitely enjoyed (I was only able to make it to the movie night at the pool and the luau). Now the apartment itself was not absolutely mind blowing because the complex is a little older but it was great considering it isn’t brand new. The maintenance staff have been excellent and fast. I’ve seen them making upgrades all over the complex like installing new AC units. Something my husband noticed is that the maintenance manager preferred to replace things that broke as opposed to trying to make things last long at possible to save money (e.g. a dryer or fridge). Our apartment there was worlds better than where we’ve just moved, makes me miss the PoM all the more. I loved the way the grounds have so much plant life, it really made it feel private and peaceful. My boys practically lived at the pool for a while there and I really enjoyed being out there so much because friendly neighbors or staff would be passing through and the pool area is beautiful (it even has a small waterfall from the smaller pool to the larger pool!). I felt more welcome and a part of the community there than I have anywhere else so far. If my husband’s work ever brings us back to Houston The Park on Memorial is our first choice. The staff alone make this place a unique gem and I’d highly recommend it to anyone moving to the Houston area. -

I Lived at the Park on Memorial for 2 years while working in the Energy Corridor area. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would definitely recommend to anyone searching for an apartment in that area. Management and staff at the front desk are very accommodating and friendly. Likewise, the maintenance personnel and guardhouse staff are also friendly and easy to communicate with. During my tenure, I encountered a couple of maintenance issues which were responded to promptly, professionally, and to my satisfaction, thanks to the PoM team. The PoM is situated on a plot of land that contains an abundance of trees and natural vegetation, which made walking around the complex enjoyable. I also made use of their free bike rental accommodations on several occasions.During the move-out process, Jessica was very accomodating and honest about all fees, which were detailed in the original lease contract that I signed. I received my security deposit back in full and did not encounter any issues or additional charges. In conclusion, if my company would not have relocated me, I would still be living at the Park on Memorial. Thanks to everyone at the PoM for making my stay in Houston a memorable and positive experience. -

Moved in recently and absolutely love it. The complex sits a midst trees and vegetation, providing clean air and a peaceful enclave to come home to after working in the office all day.The Park was the sweet spot for my girlfriend and I. In general, we found housing options in the area to be either upscale, recently built dorm / hotel style apartments with great amenities yet smaller square footage; Or, older 1970s-1980s apartments and town-homes with older appliances and amenities, but higher square footage. The Park, built in the 1990s and recently renovated, offered us the best value. For the same price as an entry 1-bedroom at the uber-fancy places, we got an additional 250 sq ft., an extra room, extra 1/2 bathroom, and higher ceilings, but didnt have to sacrifice hardly on the quality of the units. The management has been very professional and friendly so far. Our only complaint has been an assigned covered parking spot thats too small to park in and doesnt fully cover the car (they are currently working with us on this).Overall extremely happy. -

Early March 2017 me and my wife, we decided to move Houston from San Francisco. First things always first, we needed an apartment and there was no way for us to travel all the way from San Francisco to Houston just to see the apartment so we decided to make our decision to stay in the last available room in Park On Memorial from what we saw over the Skype. The whole point we liked this apartment so much was the location and how it feels like to be in the middle of the Jungle. The whole apartment is surrounded by big trees and bushes. It feels like we are living in the wild and so much peaceful environment, sleeping with the sound of chirping bird looking at their nest just right in front of the patio makes so much relaxed. We visited a couple of apartment where our friends live and compeer with where we are staying is so much comfortable and every time our new friends visit us gives us a sound of accomplishment and just wahoo all because of how this apartment is built. By some reason my wife she couldnt drive to the office every day and it is also hard for me to drop her off every day as we have a baby child and I have my own things to take care. All because of the perfect location my wife able to take the buses to downtown every day from just right in front of the gate of Park On Memorial apartment. Apart from that Terry Hershey Park is connected which is not even 1 minute away from where we live makes so much easier to go out with my baby on a bike. So many times I have walked for a grocery with my baby as Walgreen, HEB is not even 5-minute walking distance. The most I like living here is a lot of different types of Mexican, Italian restaurant, is just around in less than the 2-minute driving perimeter. Gas Station, Post office, Starbucks They are just by the side of the apartment. Hiway I-10 is literally connected on Park on Memorial makes our life even easier to move around.Thank you, Park On Memorial team making us our everyday life so much comfortable.Raj and Malyn -
