My family and I have lived here for over 2 years and have had a great experience. The grounds and pools are well kept up and perfect for walking the dogs or just being outside. The maintenance team is excellent and very quick to respond. One particular employee Eva G. has always gone above and beyond to be kind and helpful. Whenever we see Eva she is working to keep the community clean and she is always friendly no matter how tough or challenging the job. Many apartments are similar, but a great staff can make all the difference and Western Oaks has a great staff.

Our family lived at Western oaks for over 2 years. It was our family’s second time leasing with MAA and we’ve had a very positive experience both times.MAA Western Oaks is sprawling property with two pools and a dog park- allof which we used and loved. The property is shady- with lots of trees and a good variety of well-appointed units. The prices are decent and consistent without surprises at a time when Austin rents skyrocketed.The walking trails around MAA are wonderful and animals are welcome. The apartments have a great mix of singles, families and retired folks of all demographics and backgrounds. Folks seemed to respect and consider one another.The pools are maintained fastidiously, and the property flower beds, trees, lawns and trails are kept up on the regular. The maintenance team is top-notch. Eric, John and Vincent are super-responsive, thorough and consistently kind. Folks in the front office are a dynamic, committed team. They were respectful and responsive. They were so helpful in the month we spent choosing our place and transferring from our first MAA and they continued to be so in the years to come. We loved it and highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really appreciate maintenance team. They always come immediately to fix any issue I’ve had and they fix it right away. I like the fact that they explain to me what they’ve done to ensure me that they did their job. Also helps me if it happens again I won’t have to bother them!! I have nothing but positive things to say about Western Oaks. The entire move in process was so easy. Brianna was extremely helpful and responsive. The entire team is friendly and quick to respond for issues. The fact that they offer apartments with attached garages and fenced in yards is what sold me on this property. Not to mention, the grounds and amenities are BEAUTIFUL. Its so convenient to multiple stores and restaurants. Highly recommend this property!

Western oaks has been very kind to me throughout the years, especially their maintenance team. Eva has consistently kept the grounds clean, is always smiling and friendly, and even cheered for me as I was changing my tire in the rain. The staff at Western Oaks has always made it easier for me to ask for what I need, and has always responded promptly despite the hours. The treatment here makes me feel safe, and I have thoroughly appreciated having people who keep the residence beautiful and clean. Thank y’all so much.

I moved to Austin to be near family. I went from living in my own home to living in a one bedroom apartment. I had not lived in an apartment for almost 40 years and was not looking forward to the experience. I have been pleasantly surprised. The complex is well located in south Austin and the management has been very responsive to any request I have made. The complex is very clean and well cared for and my location is very quiet. The pools and gym are well cared for and not overly crowded.

Today my wife, Carolyn and I would like to send a huge shoutout to the maintenance department (they are altogether, an all-around solid group of individuals we have come to rely on over the last 3 years. Today, I’d like to specifically recognize Eric for his exceptional service to our community, because this dude is a top-notch maintenance technician! Throughout the course of our recent maintenance visit, Eric was incredibly responsive, he arrived promptly, diagnosed the issue quickly, and fixed the problem efficiently with a friendly and professional attitude. Not only did he leave the area clean, but he also took the time to explain the repair process clearly. Highly recommend him to anyone needing maintenance services!

One of my greatest comforts and satisfactions of living at MAA W/O for the past 9+ years is having a great maintenance team. I know that, when Eric (and his team) shows up, things are going to get fixed and fixed correctly. I also appreciate that he is always friendly and is respectful about scheduling around my reverse sleep schedule and calling before showing up. Maintenance is a HUGE deal as a renter, and “Eric & Co.” set the bar high.

Ive lived in this complex for several years, in two different units. Noise levels do differ depending on what building you are in, in proximity to the highway, but even the ambient traffic noise isnt bad near the highway if youre inside. The pools never get too noisy if you live next to them, either. Pest control is on top of any of the seldom-seen bugs (floors 2 and 3, Im not sure about ground floor). Eric and John specifically are an absolutely amazing maintenance team and are always on top of everything we submit in a timely manner (five stars for them)! The problems Ive had were some reoccurring mold in the shower in my previous unit, and that rent was getting so high for a 1 bedroom that I ended up moving to a 2 bedroom for cheaper (a win for me in the end). The walk to the garbage can be a drag depending on what building you are in. Gym is adequate. Units might be older or updated kind of randomly, so double check before you sign your lease to make sure you get what you prefer!

MAA Western Oaks is an expansive (31 buildings), gated, apartment community in southwest Austin. It has two outdoor pools and a very good sized gym workout room.Rent is in line with Austin rents, but reasonable given what you get. The pools have deck chairs, barbeques, and even an air conditioned clubhouse with pool table, shuffle board, TV and full size fridge and countertop.All apartments are key code electronic entry (no physical key to lose!) with deadbolt locks. These are nice safety features, but the surrounding area is a good area of Austin and very safe.

We absolutely love it here. The quietness of the neighborhood is definitely a plus. All of our neighbors are the most friendly and caring people. Jessica, Rody, Alex, Isaac and Jackie are definitely the positive side of this property. Ever since Jessica became the Property Manager the upkeep of the property is noticeably different. People are finally being held accountable for their dogs being off-leash and not being picked up after. The property itself is full of greenery and wooded views. All around this property is 10/10. Ive never been happier to live somewhere. Maintenance is great too! Everything gets done in a day or less which is great. Ive never had to wait for anything to be done!If I could give more than 5 stars I would because the office staff & maintenance deserve it.Definitely consider this place as your future home. You wont regret it!

My wife and I love living here. The neighborhood is so quiet and my neighbors are great. Service requests get handled in a day which is awesome. The leasing office is pretty responsive as well. We really love all the amenities and the dog park is great! We have a backyard which we love to relax in and can’t wait for it to get zeroscaped where there’s only rocks this upcoming year! Pet, neighbor, and office friendly. If you want to move somewhere in Austin with convenience I’d move here!

I just moved in and I LOVE it. The two bedroom 1140 square ft is the perfect amount of space. The yards are also very big and the apartment sends people out to trim the grass for you. There are also extra storage closets that are only 10 dollars a month. It is very secure, as the gates are always closed and the grounds are very well kept. Office staff is also nice and responsive. I highly recommend.

Love love love this apartment complex. Very dog friendly! We have a Belgian Malinois and a German Shepherd they are so happy with the dog park and trails around the apartment. Every apartment has a unique style with high ceilings and great porches. We just moved from a house and the transition couldn’t have been easier. The carpets are high quality, very soft and a unique style that hides any possible discoloration. In addition I love the office’s monthly themes it’s just fun. Kelly is the most helpful and fun agent in the business. The people are really friendly. It’s a great community.

After 5+ years of calling this place (and three units) home, I’m sad to say goodbye, but thankful for the service and home that was provided to us. The community is very safe, has an amazing location, attentive staff, and spacious floor plans, fenced yards and walkways. Our main draw was that it was pet friendly without breed restrictions and this was never an issue. Granted, you get the selfish neighbors who make too much noise or don’t pick up after themselves or pets, but the staff is always on top of these things.

We have a new property manager and she knows what she’s doing. In just a short time frame of a month or two, she’s been able to fix the gates, repainted the parking lot stripes, and repaint / replace the balconies and fences throughout the property. This is definitely starting to feel like a property more worth its value and with the gates repaired, I feel more safe.

I’ve lived at Legacy at Western Oaks for almost 2 years. Most of that time has been best described as a “global pandemic” and “statewide-power-grid-failure-during-a-rare-ice-storm” sandwich. But let me tell you something. The management at this complex has gone beyond to communicate and implement safety precautions as recommended by experts, maybe even leaning a little further to protect the lives of their residents. They have sent numerous emails reminding people to reach out if they were impacted financially during the early parts of the pandemic. They were in constant communication when I think every building was without heat and water, and inconsistent power in February. And just today, all these months later, another email came in, reminding residents who might still be struggling financially, that there is help available. These people care. Truly, they do not wait for you to ask in a panic. They proactively reach out to anyone who might need some support and are nothing but kindness. As a resident, I have felt utterly cared for during a really uncertain time. You see the quality of a people during difficult times. These are good people! 10/10!

Great location, great apartments and the front desk is really nice. And the maintenance is some of the best & most responsive people Ive ever seen. Only knocking one star because the trash compactor is so loud and it makes a constant beeping noise when its full that I can hear in every room in my apt. Its like tinnitus but louder.

We recently moved in and cannot possibly sing enough praises regarding management! After a delay on our original lease at another property we found ourselves in a one day apartment search. LWO delivered above and beyond. I was approved, provided lease documents, and keys within a day. The apartment is spacious, in good shape, with an amazing floor plan and came at a great price. We are on a 3rd floor with a view towards Mopac, however noise is not an issue. Not from our view or neighbors. Everyone weve met so far has been extremely kind, both at the office and around the complex. Ive came home late some days with my daughters and only found myself parking far when it was almost midnight. Safety isnt an issue and we are surround by woods and residential areas. Access to Mopac takes about a minute and theres so much to do near by.My favorite part is how pet friendly this place is. All pet parents Ive met seen very responsible and pick up after their pets. The pet park is huge and very neat!Also, yes the trash is far but we have an old laundry basket where we throw it in, put it in the car and take it out. Which is what weve usually done at other apartments, so no biggie.
