This apartment complex is one of the best places to live in the area. It is super clean, quiet, and very safe. The gym is decently stocked and is like a second home to me. The pools are cleaned every Monday and are open the rest of the days. There is plenty of free covered parking. The maintenance team is very fast to address issues and is very friendly. I appreciate how the management team is very communicative about issues and addresses them promptly. Overall, this place makes me love my home. Thank you guys you rock and keep it up. Definitely dont deserve 3.8 stars

I just moved in this week, and Im very please with my apartment and the community. The property is beautifully landscaped with mature trees everywhere providing lots of color and shade. The property is in excellent shape and very well maintained, and is very quite and has a peaceful vibe. The office staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to meet your needs and make sure youre satisfied. Im really glad I found this place and I highly recommend it!

The team at MAA Highlands North are amazing. This includes the maintenance crew. Tasha took the time to talk to me before moving in on a personal level. I wasn’t sure what floor plan I was getting but am so very happy with it. The location is great. It’s like a hidden gem. I do like the place is only 2 stories. I’ve met some great neighbors as well. So do yourself a favor if your in the hunt for an apt stop here first.

Its not often that I have to call or submit a maintenance request but when I do...Carlos saved the day yesterday picking up an old refrigerator and bringing in a new one. A real nice guy he is professional, efficient and a gentleman. Everything he does is turn key. Carlos also took care of my air conditioner this spring and I am extremely grateful because this summer was just brutal. I cant say enough about him.Tasha the property manager is quite a patient gem making sure the trains run on time with the assistance of Jordan and Elena. And finally a sincere and past due shout-out to maintenance tech Carolyn who is seemingly everywhere and always says hello. Ray rounds out the maintenance team.Ive been here over 9 years and this is the best Highlands North has been!

The leasing center staff—Tasha, Elena, and Skylar—are friendly and super helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Prompt maintenance services are provided by Carlos and his team. The community offers practical amenities like a swimming pool, fitness center, and plenty of parking, and its safe. Plus, MAA Highlands is more budget-friendly compared to nearby options.

Overall this apartment complex is very good. Located in a safe neighborhood and around a lot of retail and restaurants. Close to UTD with a bus stop close by for university students.FIRST THOUGHTS: When I first moved in, the apartment was clean and orderly. No bugs in sight. Living in one of the townhomes with a patio with a gate, the gate catches when the weather is warm and hard to open and close. I loved the townhome layout and it was perfect for what my partner and I needed at the time.AMENITIES: I havent used the amenities much, but the gym is somewhat adequately equipped the few times I went. Last time I was there, there were no free weights, but there was a rack for them. There is room for stretching and some machines to have a relatively decent workout. I have never used their pools, but maintenance is always on Mondays. I never used the laundry facilities as the townhomes come with a washer and dryer, but I know there was some issues with machines being broken constantly. I did use the dog park a lot, which isnt a lot. I would say its about 30ftx10ft with no equipment. It could have easily been bigger with the amount of space they had, so it was disappointing to see how small it was.APARTMENT: Like I said earlier, apartment was clean when we first moved in. I liked that internet/cable is included with rent. When one of our AC units conked out, they replaced very quickly. The paint is kind of cheap so be careful when putting adhesives to the walls as the paint will most likely come off with the adhesive if not careful. They added smart home stuff to the front doors which is convenient when I dont want to carry my keys with me or when I leave a light on an accident and I can turn it off via the app. Decent amount of storage space and the floorplans are very open, so furniture layout can vary easily.FRONT OFFICE/MAINTENANCE: The front office and maintenance crew are great. They respond relatively quickly (relatively because it did take one month for one of my requests to be completed, but it wasnt dire so I didnt mind). The front office definitely works with you when you have any questions or concerns.FINAL THOUGHTS: The apartment complex is good. Fantastic for a homebody like me as its relatively quiet. One of the reasons I gave this complex 4 stars was due to the dog park and the cost of the apartment I live in now is getting to the point where the cost isnt worth the square footage. I know rent will increase every year, but that doesnt change my opinion.

Great apartment community. Feels safe as it is surrounded by many houses. Most of the apartments have a pool view and back door. It has two pools and a picnic area. The back door helps a lot especially when you get packages from Amazon or UPS. The leasing office staffs are cooperative.

Lovely complex. Beautiful grounds, courteous neighbors, nice interiors. Property staff are all top notch. Maintenance is quick and friendly. Pet friendly with lots of room to walk, and dog parks. My only complaint would be the Internet, but it at least gets the job done.

This place is amazing. Its spacious and quiet. Very pet friendly. They handle maintenance orders fast, the common areas are always kept clean. There are a lot of cute animals roaming around, squirrels, birds, and rabbits. The pools and gym are always clean and empty, you would almost think no one lived here. Staff is nice. These are old buildings so the layouts are a little quirky but its not a deal breaker

Supportive and helpful staff. The complex is located in a quiet vicinity, right behind the target, so all your grocery requirements are taken care of. Nice courtyards with well kept pools and lawns. Also, there is a huge pond, 50 meters from the apartment.

Im actually quite fond of this place. For the money this is an amazing apartment in a rather ideal location. Hard wood floors with carpet, great A/C, full appliances, amazing parking. And its a pretty safe area. Feels like youre in a neighborhood. No issues with the apartment with the small exception that a single burner on the stove is not working. Its extremely quiet and off any major roads. Tenants are polite and respectful with rarely any noise from the outside.Im relatively appalled at the majority of comments complaining about minor issues you would run into at any housing complex. Regarding the comments about disrepair, I simply do not see it. Its clean, havent seen a single bug, and sticky doors and locks are something you can encounter in any type of building. Most all of the apartments I have looked at in the area include mandatory cable payments in the monthly rent. I dont use it but getting upset over a common business practice is irrational. Cant say Ive had any issues with the staff. Theyve been kind and welcoming, while making the transition and paperwork an easy process.

Maa Higlands North is the best community. There is no other peaceful community place other than Maa Highlands North. It’s surrounded with lot of trees, which I’m very dearest to nature, and I just love the place. Hall kitchen bedroom patio are very spacious enough with a beautiful view from patio. The two swimming pools are the attractions of the beauty of community. We enjoy a lot in swimming pool, which is maintained very clean. There is a bus stop nearby, which takes 5mins walk, and the frequency of bus is 10mins for students of UTD. Overall, Maa highlands north community is most comfortable and peaceful place to live. I would highly recommend you to stay here if given a chance.

Honestly, I found it as a pretty good place to live. I have stayed here for a year and I have had a good time staying here. You can get your work done staying here as an international student. Maa highlands north is one of the beautiful communities out there. You have target, T-Mobile, chase bank and many food outlets within its vicinity. The bus stands are at walking distance from the community and the bus frequency is also quite good.

I had never seen an place that keeps a discipline keeping everything beautiful, clean, organized, and safe. We have a baby that requires a lot of attention, specially while walking outdoors, but my wife and I feel safe walking with our baby around MAA Highlands North pathways. It is a safe place. Wide covered parking lots, well lit at night, well established trees, gym, swimming pools with established Maintenace schedule, and everything is managed by an awesome group of professionals who cares about you and your comfort. We have met three of the admin group for this complex, and they are very kind, diligent, and with people skills (which it is difficult to see). Tasha Faaumu is the manager who actually makes things happen. She a Very nice person and she will deploy a maintenance crew, if needed, and n order to help you. I love the fact that she follow up with emails about any challenge I may have. Mr. Carlos is one of the main people from the maintenance department. Always willing to help , watching for our comfort and being a hand every time is needed. In our experience, the Apartment does not require a lot of Maintenace; however they do preventive Maintenace operations to ensure appliance, ac units (we have 2), and plumping to work as it is expected.Place is around big shopping centers , Home Depot, marshal , Ross , Chili’s , target , Exxon , etc. Very nice place if you love being around trees, and living peacefully.

Today is my last day here. If you are looking for an apartment, this place is an awesome place and I totally recommend this community. The officers in the leasing office are so nice. They will help you if you have any questions. When I stayed here, the officers in the maintenance department fixed the problems efficiently and effectively.

I’ve been here since Feb 2020, I needed a place to move into FAST. And they were the best, safest and cheapest option I found. I was concerned because my unit smelled heavily of stale smoke. The previous renter clearly smoked inside.The complex was unable to do anything about that themselves but if you encounter this issue look up Vamoos product on amazon. Two treatments and the nasty odor is 95% cleared. Also wash the walls with soap and water and all windows and blinds.Anyway my living experience. The walls are a little thin, I can certainly hear my neighbors when they’re loud or coming and going from their unit. But they’re not obnoxious by any means. The unit is small but rent is equitable to the size. Peking is never a problem especially when friends come over. The pool and grounds are well maintained. I’ve noticed trash does tend to overflow some times but it never lasts more than a day like that. The maintenance staff are friendly and easy to understand.Front office staff are also kind and friendly and welcoming.My one negative is the internet connection. You’re locked into Spectrum and from what I’ve learned it’s the external wiring that needs repairs, the equipment and apartment based wiring are in good condition. But spectrum is constantly mending things. So internet has gone out for a day probably 5 times since February (consider also we did send mass numbers of people home for work so it’s taxing the connections as well)Overall I’m happy with my choice. And as long as things continue to go well I will continue to renew my lease.

We enjoyed our time here and if they had a 3 bedroom 2 bath avail, we would renew. Fortunately, we were able to find one at another MAA property. Katie, Tina and other staff members are always helpful. I did have some issues with the people living above us making noise after 10pm but other than this, we loved the location. We were in RISD which we are also sad to leave. I would like to thank the staff and maintenance team for always being there and making sure work orders are completed in a timely manner. You guys are appreciated by me and my little family!

We lived here for a 14 month lease term and we enjoyed it quite a bit. Weve been moved out for about a month now and we honestly miss how safe and small C@C was. Katie was always quick to respond to us when we had questions, MAA has no breed restrictions so we always felt like our dog was welcomed, and we paid nothing extra in fees or damages at the end of our lease term. Downsides were that because the apartments are old they are more prone to having issues. For the most part everything was fixed in a timely manner when we put in work orders. Which is such a positive. The biggest problem we had was that the property was a cultural hub for squirrels and rabbits. With a very prey driven dog we were on constant look out for the little buggers. We had a neighbor whose dog had to get a double ACL repair after it took a fall chasing after one. Which brings me to the next problem: off leash dogs. Too many neighbors have too little consideration for others and just let their dogs roam off leash. A lot of residents are scared of dogs, and others dont want to be stepping in their dogs unpicked up poop. There is also a leash law in place for the city of Dallas, but no one seems to care. Our 14 months were uneventful, just the way they should be.

Friendly leasing office and nice floorplans. New manager Michael was very informative of leasing process as I am a first time renter. I recommend this apartment for a few reasons; customer service, location in DFW, cleanliness, break everything down to understand for first time renters. I hope a townhome opens soon so i can rent here. Bonus points no breed restrictions!!!!

We love living here at Courtyards. The grounds are lovely, our apartment is just right for us, but we stay here for the management. Gina, Katie and Chrystal are the best! They are very responsive to our requests and are genuinely concerned about our experience here. The Thanksgiving dinner that the entire staff put on for the residents was the best one that we have ever had here! Thats saying a lot because we have lived here 10 years! The maintenance men are very knowledgeable, thorough and helpful. We usually have our repairs done the day that we request them.I dont know of anywhere else that we could get such great service and live in such beautiful surroundings!

I visited this property in search of a new home. The property has very good amenities, but Miss Tasha with her attention was the one who really gave me the feeling of being in a home, very pleasant and helpful
