    I had such a positive experience with MAA, especially Deanna! She made the process smooth, assured me every step of the way and explained everything in full detail. Other apartments around the area made me feel I was bothering them and I felt pressured, but MAA & Deanna never made me feel that way. Cant wait to start living there!

    Wow, where do I begin. I came in just browsing but I think I may have just found my home. My leasing consultant Carissa was just wonderful, she leveled with me and made me feel comfortable and safe. She explained everything in detail and answer my millions of questions.     Best apartment complex ever! I lived at MAA Greater Heights (formerly Yale at 6th) for about two years and loved every minute of it. The office staff was always helpful and quick to respond. They addressed any and all questions I had, made my transition moving in/out of the complex worry free, and always had a smile on their faces. Special shoutout to Katelyn for always being thorough, helpful, and attentive.Sergio and Martin always kept the grounds clean and my apartment in working order. Just about every morning while walking my dog, they would greet me with a good morning and a smile. They were helpful and always brightened my day.The location of the complex is second to none. I felt incredibly safe and was able to walk to all of my favorite restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. If you’re into long walks, you can walk exactly 2 miles in either direction on the trails and see beautiful views of downtown, stop by MKT shopping center, and even walk to Target! Literally the best location.I’ll definitely miss living at MAA Greater Heights but know I’ll always be greeted with a smile when I visit friends still living in the complex. Thanks again to Katelyn, Sergio, and Martin for making it so awesome!

    Ive been living at MAA Greater Heights for just about 6 months and my experience here has been nothing short of amazing. The office staff is so friendly and maintenance requests get resolved the same day. Today, I was carrying a lot of items and stopped by the front desk to return someone’s mail that had been placed in my mailbox by mistake. While doing so, I accidentally dropped a $20 bill on the ground. Katelyn Redding, the assistant property manager, noticed and immediately called to let me know. She even had the money waiting for me at the front desk!!If you want excellent customer service, an amazing location close to all your favorite restaurants and walking trails, live here!!!!

    Absolutely love this apartment community in the heights! The entire team is extremely friendly and helpful, the price is just right and the neighborhood is simply top notch. I lived in the heights for several years and moved to explore other areas including midtown and sawyer yards. Needless to say, I found myself right back here since it truly feels like home.I can’t end this review without mentioning some other pros about this building.1. Sense of community; everyone is very neighborly which is important to me.2. they host resident events frequently which I love!3. The pool… the best I’ve ever had at any apartment community. It’s huge and the selling point for me is the cabanas at the pool which all have individual mini fridges which is perfect if you are having a few drinks at the pool.4. GAS STOVES! I cook frequently and as they say, once you have gas it’s hard to go back to electric.The building isn’t perfect and issues arise sometimes, but that’s the reality of apartment living. However, I can say they the office staff and maintenance folks address everything timely which is an important requirement for me.Don’t take my word for it, tour it for yourself and I’m sure you’ll fall in love with it like I did.

    My husband and I were residents at MAA Greater Heights for 2 years and would have been many more, but due to work re-locations needed to move out-of-state. Our apartment was clean and modern with up-to-date, high-end appliances. Not only was the apartment everything we needed and more, we used the gorgeous amenities daily.Should we have needed routine/maintenance work or had any issues, the management and maintenance team were on it same day - Heather, Juliana, Melissa, and Katelyn were notably some of the proficient and helpful assistant managers we have come across!We loved our time here and will miss MAA and The Heights greatly - this is a fantastic apartment complex in the cutest neighborhood you will find!

    I lived here for a couple of years and loved every minute of it. The location was always too hard for me to give up. It’s extremely walkable & there are always people walking or running outside.I loved living at this complex & have nothing but good things to say about my time here. I will definitely miss it! Anytime I had any maintenance issues, they would be taken care of within 24 hours. Theresa & Katelyn were always so friendly and even though I was one of many tenants they always remembered who I was & I appreciated that. Sergio always went above & beyond with any maintenance repairs & he was always so easy & fun to talk to.I recommend this complex to anyone looking for heights living. You will love it!

    I had a wonderful experience living at Yale @6th Apartments the last 6 years! Management is always keeping the property updated and clean. Plus you can’t beat the location; close to walking/biking trails, great restaurants and community events like the bi monthly farmers market across the street.In my time as a tenant, there were floods, freezes a pandemic etc. and Yale @6 management was always extremely transparent and communicative of what was going on and how they planned to keep us safe. This is a quality I wouldn’t have known to look for when apartment shopping but quickly saw how valuable it is.Theresa and Katelyn have been there through the years and no matter the request big or small they were always quick to respond and so kind. I have friends that have lived in surrounding apartment communities and year after year none match up to the quality of management as this one..Needless to say, I highly recommend this property if you are looking to rent in the Heights!

    I was initially really hesitant to rent with MAA due to previous experiences, but I honestly loved living here. The facility is great and I felt really safe living here. I loved how they had resident events like breakfast every first Saturday of the month. In addition, you really cannot beat this location as we are right next to the trail and so close to MKT.The staff at the front is amazing. Katelyn was so helpful during my move out and she’s so fast to respond. Maintenance is super helpful and they are so fast at completing request. Martin and Sergio are literally the best. They care about the residents and the facility. When I was moving out and I had problems with getting my POD into the apartment complex, Sergio stayed after the office was closed to help me get the POD into the correct space. I truly recommend living in this apartment complex if you’re looking for your next place to live!

    The leasing staff has been awesome so far! Special thank you to Katelyn for making an unplanned moved much easier. From the moment I walked in the leasing office, I felt welcomed. Katelyn provided a few options for me to consider. Within a couple of business days, everything was completed and my move was scheduled. There were a few items that needed to be addressed in my unit, but those were handled quickly!On moving day, Natalie made everything so easy and made sure I had everything I needed. Moving is stressful. Katelyn and Natalie certainly made it less painful.The only downside is you may hear your upstairs neighbors if they are stompers or heavy walkers. If you work from home or are sensitive to noise, a top floor unit will be your best option if available. Overall, good location to call home.

    I had a really great experience living at Yale at 6th. I moved in right before COVID and the staff were great throughout that year. I would have stayed another year, but I moved out of state. Otherwise, it’s a great location in the Heights!

    I love this apartment complex. Amazing location, very helpful and friendly staff, updated amenities and shared spaces, and outstanding maintenance. Maintenance even responded in the middle of the night to help us after a big storm. Management is proactive, for example common spaces are frequently updated and the pool area is perfect. I cant hear anyone else from my apartment, its perfectly quiet. Dog friendly! Cant recommend it enough!

    I have recently moved in and the area has been a bit of adjustment but the property has provided a safe place as an information hub for the local business in the area .Heather assisted me with my apartment tour and made sure I was able to walk every inch of the property to make sure it would be next home!Kateyln made my move in process swift and easy and making sure I’m aware of all the great assets the community and property has to offer .Once I moved in I notice quick how Melissa’s open door policy has made communication an easy thing to do.I placed a Maintance request in and Sergio and his team responded promptly and fixed the issue and gave great service !I am happy with my move here . And they have police officers walking around often 😊 . I feel safe !

Although we decided to live elsewhere due to job relocation, this property was my top pick in the Heights area. Amenities and location are top notch!     I toured this complex last week and absolutely fell in love! Teresa was amazing, sweet, knowledgeable/helpful, and was a big reason I decided to lease here. The building was well maintained by management and the pool was the best I’ve seen in apartments. I really love the cabanas and mini fridges, it just makes things so convenient. I was able to snag a 1 bedroom with an extended balcony which was honestly a great price for the unit I picked, so I am beyond excited to enjoy everything here. I can’t forget to mention the location too, the heights it’s my favorite area in Houston so to say the least this is a prime location. I cannot wait to move in later this month!

    I was here for years and really enjoyed it. I had a apartment with the balcony overlooking the Heights hike and bike trail. Great for people watching while enjoying the outside. The staff was always helpful including any repairs needed or taken care of right away. Theresa at the front office is gem. I think I was the only one there without a dog.

    I’ve been at MAA for about 3 months now and I really like this location and complex for the price I pay. It is directly by the bike trail and all my favorite activities like yoga, CrossFit, salsa/bachata and the good guys running club which meets every Wednesday near MAA. The staff here is really friendly especially Heather and love hanging by the pool letting my neighbors.

    Being a single female, its important for me to feel comfortable where I live and be in a community with reliable staff. Ive felt welcomed and safe here ever since I signed my lease. Katelyn and Teresa went above and beyond to make sure the whole process went as smoothly as possible. The other girls in the office, Natalie and Melissa, are also very attentive and helpful whenever I need anything. The staff genuinely care about your happiness and making sure that your apartment and the community feel like home. In my previous apartments, service requests could take weeks but Im grateful that the maintenance staff are quick to respond. Highly recommend living here!

    My husband and I used to live at this community and when I tell you this had to be the best apartment complex we ever lived on. It’s located in a prime location in the heights right across from bars, restaurants, coffee shops and retail all within walking distance.The apartments themselves are well and have been slowly renovated. Love love the keyless system to get into your apartment and the fact that these apartments have gas it’s amazing not many do. The pool is huge and they have cabanas with mini fridges like you don’t even need to bring your cooler down.It’s mostly young professionals here so everyone is very respectful when it comes to nose! Yes you will hear your upstairs neighbor here and there but that’s pretty much anywhere where the construction is made out of wood.I don’t know if they still do resident events but when we lived there they would do brunch on some weekends, wine tasting, charcuterie boards it was really neat way to get to know your neighbors.One last thing the team that works there, from maintenance to the leasing. Shout out to Teresa one of the leasing members she will answer all the questions you need and is always on her top game.If you’re looking to live in the heights I would highly encourage you to look here.

    Location. Location. Location.MAA Heights is a great apartment. Its new, clean, and has all the necessary amenities for a busy professional. It is near multiple grocery stores, Target, Walmart, restaurants, bars, and all the major downtown freeways. THe location and complex is in my opinion great.The propety management is also wonderful. You can tell Melissa the property manager cares about her job, and she runs a tight ship. She is good about hiring good people, and all the members of the leasing office and maintenance group are really good & friendly.

    I can’t give this place enough stars. I love living here, the location is obviously great and the management is too. I have lived in many apartment over the years and this is the best one yet. I toured so many when choosing and Teresa was the only one who took the time to help me and give me the best energy. She actually cares and wants to make sure you are taken care of. I’ve been here now for almost a year and she still checks in and makes sure to say hi when she sees you. Even the maintenance staff is always so kind and seems like they actually want to be here. I’m in a studio apartment which honestly is not a studio at all, the layout is perfect for a couple or a single person who loves quality over quantity. Definitely a great place if you’re wanting to get into the heights area.

    Absolutely amazing place to live. Very close to everything you need. Great pool are with outdoor kitchens and personal cabanas with a fridge. The interior of my apartment was amazing and modern. The office staff is top notch. They are very friendly and helpful with everything you need. I had some issues when trying to get my apartment, but they worked with me and made it possible for be to move in with no issues at all. Service elevator located outside which made moving in a breeze! The thermostat, lights, and door are all on an app system so If I forget to turn anything off when I leave I can correct it or if I need someone to stop by my place I can unlock my door from anywhere which is a huge bonus. I had a maintenance issue and they had someone come and fix it immediately with no issues at all. Absolutely awesome staff. Very clean, safe, and friendly property. Highly recommend!!

    As I was looking for an apartment to live in temporarily while my house was getting some needed repairs, I booked an appointment to see these apartments. I met with Teresa, she showed me all the nice amenities and the available apartment that fit my needs. She was such a delight and very helpful. All my interactions with the office was great. I went with another apartment complex ONLY because it was closed to my house. I wish I would have come here first as the other complex is not as helpful.

    Ive lived on the property for 7 months now. I live alone and dont have people I can call on for certain household tasks - such as mounting my tv, etc. Sergio works on the property and has been my saving grace. He goes above and beyond to help me and the other residents. He came to my apartment to help with a maintenance task and he noticed my tv, and asked if I needed a hand getting it mounted. I know that isnt his usual job but hes able to anticipate the needs of the residents and offered a helping hand.Then recently, I had to fly home for a family member who had received some unfortunate health news. I was panicking because I needed to return my rental car, but had to drop everything and leave before I could return it. I was in a bind and asked if Sergio could take my keys to the front lobby to send off to Enterprise. I know it might not seem like a big deal, but it meant so much to me as someone who lives alone and is new to the city (with no family here) to have someone in my life that I could trust to do that and help me out. It means more to me than I could begin to describe here. Im so grateful for Sergio and the work that he does. He deserves some sort of raise or special compensation for being such a good and hard working employee. His work ethic is something that is unfortunately becoming more and more rare nowadays in our society. Hes a really good and honest employee. Its also people like Sergio who remind me that there are still good people in this world. Thank you Sergio and MAA Greater Heights.

    I just submitted my notice that I will not be renewing my lease; however, I have been a tenant since 2016, and not only has Yale @ 6th been a wonderful place to call home, but it’s truly been a pleasure living here. If my future/new home had not become an option, Id definitely be renewing my lease again.The management team (I just love Teresa) as well as the maintenance staff have been truly amazing, helpful, and accommodating, and Ive felt so very grateful for the level of care and maintenance that has kept my many apartments in prime condition. The amenities are wonderful, and the property has been a great place to live – I will truly miss Yale @ 6th.

    Last week, while helping my son explore rental options for his relocation to the Houston (Heights) area, I had the great fortune to work with Teresa Wynn at MAA Greater Heights (formerly Yale at 6th St). To say Teresa was helpful, would be a gross understatement. She was fantastic. From the moment we connected (via email), and throughout the in-person tour and follow up discussions, Teresa was an incredible resource and true professional. Her knowledge, level of follow through, kindness and patience, were well beyond expectation. Teresas attention to client care was truly exceptional, as was her genuine interest in my sons comfort and safety. While my son ultimately made the difficult decision to live with an area family member (at least for a few months), Teresa will be our first phone call once he is ready to change his plans/address. Teresa, alone, makes MAA Greater Heights a wonderful choice!

I’ve called at least half a dozen apartments the past few weeks to get info before my husband and I make our big move to Houston and this was by far the most informative.     The apartments are nicely appointed and the facility has many nice amenities. The grounds and buildings are well-maintained and very clean, The leasing office staff is very helpful and a pleasure to work with.     I enjoy this property. It’s in a great location and everyone is usually friendly. I had a great experience with my leasing agent, Katelyn, and pricing is not toooo crazy for the area. Giving 4 stars because it can be a bit loud and I can hear upstairs and hallway noise pretty loudly. Luckily this usually only occurs during the day. Overall, would recommend.

    The team at Yale @ 6th is amazing. They are friendly, helpful, and very personable. Teresa and Natalie are always welcoming when I stop into the office and Teresa has made the process of renting an apartment easy and seamless. I truly appreciate all they have done for me and for my friend.

    Had a great experience touring Yale at 6th with Teresa W. She very patiently answered all my questions, showed me everything at the property, and even answered my questions about nearby places. When the unit I toured wasnt the right fit, she helped me find a different unit that better suited my needs. She was friendly and professional, no high-pressure tactics. I also talked to Melissa C and found she was also very friendly and helpful. Overall, just a great team of Leasing and Management and Im hoping this ends up being my new home! (currently waiting for the right unit, in the right location, because Im picky)

    I moved to this apt in June 2020 from out of state. Great location! The staff was very attentive and helpful during the whole process. I could not visit the premises because of COVID and I was coming from the Midwest, but they did a virtual tour for me which was very helpful. Haley (part of the staff) answered all my questions during the process and about the leasing contract. Was great working with her and the rest of the team. Only 2 semi downsides, once I moved in the washer was not working accordingly, but the maintenance staff came in next day and fixed it. It took them almost 4 hours to fix it, and they were always very nice the whole time telling me not to worry that they will get it fixed, which they did. Other downside is that the dog park is most of the time filled with poop, even though they have bags everywhere in the park for residents to pick up... but everyone needs to contribute to maintain our complex clean. Other than that, nothing to complain about.

    Yale at 6th is the best apartment complex I have ever lived in. From the staff (Natalie, Melissa, Teresa, Kaitlyn are SO sweet and will literally help you with anything and are so patient and accommodating) to the actual apartments and the bars and restaurants around! I love yale at 6th and would Recommend that anyone live here. I love it so much and have just renewed my lease for a second year. Thank you so much to the staff for such an amazing experience!

    Excellent place to live! Pool is great, Gym is like brand new and very well equipped for an apartment. Chris and the management staff have been extremely helpful. The area around the apartments is very nice to walk and located next to the running/bike trail.The only downside has been the elevators were not working when we moved in after Hervey, not everything is back to normal :) would definitely recommend it.

    Nice community and great location.A few maintenance issues have occurred in my unit but the staff here have been quick and responsive in getting them fixed to my satisfaction. Patrica, Walter, and Joseph are three individuals that I’ve dealt with and they have been great in following up with me after working through some of the maintenance stuff and ensuring it was done in a timely manner.I think MAA had some struggles when they first took over this community but lately you can tell they have been making significant efforts to really treat this place like a luxury community and such improvements have been made.Lots of community events throughout the month and friendly staff to talk to. I’d recommend living here.

    Fantastic experience. Needed help moving to Houston from out of state on a truncated timeline, which the leasing team (in particular Natalie and Haley) was incredibly helpful with.     Great apartments in an unreal location within the Heights. The staff is what really makes this place great though, as they have been nothing but accommodating and easy to work with since Ive moved in- always super helpful and reasonable. Any sort of maintenance issue gets resolved within 24 hours of submitting the request. In the middle of my 2nd year with them and dont see myself moving until I need to move cities or want to buy a house.

    I love this apartment! First time living on my own and the area feels safe and homey enough to walk my dog. The apartment amenities are kept clean and the staff were very helpful and organized when I was originally looking for a place. The only issue is the wifi service is pretty glitchy in my apartment and I have heard the same concern from other tenants. Other than that-its been great!

    I moved in late November and I could not be happier!! This place is perfect for me, staff is very responsive, friendly, helpful. Shoutout to Natalie M. who helped move me in, answers all of my questions, and makes sure that I’m content with the complex. It’s a great plus to have all the dogs around too. I’m so happy here.

    Beautiful property, helpful and polite staff. Maintenance team does a great job keeping the property clean despite careless residents. Some of the residents and individuals who commented need to learn how to be adults and realize that the office staff are not their babysitters and take responsibility for yourself and your actions.

    I have lived at the complex since it was Alexan Heights and before it was sold by TCR. I love living here! Complex is clean and everyone that I meet within the building is nice and friendly!The new management company is great! Judy and Troy are superstars! Super friendly and always willing to answer questions and provide assistance when needed.The maintenance team is friendly and super efficient as well and my requests are always completed within 24 hours!If you are thinking about living here come check it out and dont just go off of the reviews only. More times then not people only write reviews to complain.Yale @ 6th is a great place! :)

    Awesome community! Awesome staff! Walter and Chris are great! So many great events, food trucks and activities scheduled for tenants and even the furry residents! I am not sure why there are complaints such As not a week goes by without an issue... I am going on 7 months as a tenant and have had NO issues. Harvey happened and we were kept informed and were very well taken care of. The only issues were those caused by a NATURAL DISASTER. Any maintenance requests weve placed have been dealt with THE NEXT DAY. The staff is on top of it and seem to really care about the tenants as people. There are rules, as with any building, but when people dont follow them they object to being called out on them. Leave your trash out in the hallway? Youre going to hear about it. Smoke in the hallways?? Youre going to hear about it. You are inconsiderate of other tenants? You are going to hear about it! And as a tenant I am glad! Follow the completely reasonable rules and you will LOVE IT here! Because its awesome!Please take these reviews with a grain of salt. Come in and see for yourself. Ask for Chris and come take a look. Judge for yourself. Please dont listen to these over exaggerated negative reviews by people who probably are the problem themselves.

    Gorgeous NEW LUXURY style apartments. Apartments are super spacious with great amenities. They are also kept clean and quite. The staff is always amazing and attentive. Plus being off of I10 and 6th street your in reach of some of the best food and all shopping Houston has to offer. Judy is a rockstar and together with Troy you have an amazing team to lean on that make you feel like your speaking more with friends than leasing staff.

    When my roommate and I needed a place to live quickly, we toured multiple apartment complexes in the Heights area. After meeting with a few, we decided on Yale @ 6th. Because we had toured multiple complexes, it was apparent that the staff at Yale @ 6th is not only incredibly knowledgable, and forthcoming with their information from the start, but most importantly, their staff is incredibly kind. Every time I needed assistance with anything, I was met with kindness and more open, honest conversation. I cannot say enough amazing things about the people who work here!

    Yale @ 6th has been nothing short of great. Even when the new management MAA took over it was a relatively seamless transition. The staff is very friendly, accommodating, and makes you feel like you are heard with any questions or concerns. The maintenance team particularly stands out to me. All of the guys seem to remember who I am (despite the numerous residents) and always say hello when passing by. When I put in a maintenance request it is taken care of the following day. Safety is top priority and with the few issues we have had, management has taken the best precautions to ensure these instances do not reoccur. The rent at this building is fair and the amenities are well maintained. I have lived here almost a year and will definitely be renewing my lease.

    Pros:- Better Luck Tomorrow, a unique and cocktail driven bar, is next door. Aside from steep prices, the bar is pretty cool.- Gas top stove.- Air conditioned hallways.And now for the real review:For the amount of money you spend to live at this residence, one would expect a little more effort from management --Based on my observations, there is one maintenance man.. I take that back, work gets done at that rate, there are probably two or three. If you need something done, do it yourself.Each unit comes with an electronic locking/fob/futuristic mechanism. Great idea; however, the fob has gone dud twice. Both at inopportune times and calling the emergency maintenance man is a big no-no. Only call if its above 80 degrees and your AC is broken. As mentioned above, I imagine this rule was established to cope with the limited number of maintenance men employed.Elevators work about 80% of the time. Future residents - take note, this is a five story complex. Also, be mindful when opting for a lower level unit as the insulation is absolutely terrible.. like quarter sheet plywood terrible. Neighbors can be heard doing everything. I mean everything..Entry points from curbside to inside stairwells are for the most part broken - either one door is permanently locked or the lock is completely broken, allowing persons to enter without key credentials.Also, if your job calls for you to travel for extended periods of time, or if you work long hours (80+ hours for months at time - public accountants, IB, deal advisory - you feel my pain), please ensure your vehicle tags do not expire in that time frame. Management will tag your car for towing in 10 days. One would think management would have a system to track vehicle information so this would not happen, but they dont and dont waste your time with the sticker they give you to put on your windshield because that too is ignored.Great pool but dont bother. You can only have two guests with you at a time. Threes a crowd anyway, right? Also, dont bring a boombox. Its against the rules.Yes, I may be slightly disgruntled, but the sad thing is the above are all legitimate observations. I really liked the concept at Yale at 6th and had hope for this place, but after a recent event (car towing noted above), I was pushed to write this review. I was able to put up with all the other flaws; however, something about towing a vehicle for an expired tag really fired me up.. as if life is not already hard enough..With one bedrooms running $2000+, take your money elsewhere.
