This property has been hurting for a Good Property Manager and/or Assistant property Manager for 9 years!! About 2 years ago I was having an accounting problem that several people in this management company promised to correct but never did. That is when I reached out to Sadie Rowling, Assistant Property Manager via email. It took several emails to get the problem solved but she got it done and I was reimbursed for the over charges. I had not met Sadie in person (keep in mind Sadie is a very petite young lady) but several months later I witnessed her walk into a crowd of about 20-25 young men collecting in the street in front of my apartment (with more driving up) preparing to have a swimming party. I watched from my patio with my cell phone in hand as she talked them into disbursing and they all returned to their cars and left. I was impressed. Since then I see her all over the property checking on apartment make ready, pool repairs, landscaping, visiting with tenants, she is everywhere. She has a great working relationship with the Maintenance Team (who by the way are TOP NOTCH). Sadie will make time to visit with you and help you with any problems because SHE CARES. I will communicate with Sadie Rowling ONLY - saves time - and gets done.

Edit #3: Maintenance team is still amazing! Submitted a service request over the weekend and Mario stopped by first thing Monday morning to take care of the issue. The efficiency and timeliness with which they respond to service requests is very much appreciated!Edit #2: It is now going on 7 years that I have lived at the property. Any time that I have a service request, it is handled in a timely manner and they work with me on scheduling which is very much appreciated since I have a dog. Any interaction that I have with office staff is always pleasant and the property is kept up nicely. Very happy with my living experience throughout these years.Edit: Still really happy with my apartment! One thing that I do wish they add is a water feature in the dog park. During this summer heat, it would be great if my pup had easy access to water when playing in the park.Ive lived here for about half a year now, and so far it has been great! I love my apartment and the complex is very pet friendly which is exactly what I was looking for! The staff was very helpful at move-in and maintenance took care of a service request I had in a very reasonable and timely manner. The trash piling up at the compacter is unsightly, but its mostly due to others inability to throw the bags down the chute. I myself have pushed other bags before to make room for mine. Overall, I have had a great experience and would recommend living here.

Id had some issues with my garbage disposal and ran into Pedro on the way to the mailbox. He told me to put in a maintenance request and he would take a look. So I did and a couple hours later he showed up at my door and replaced the disposal in record time. He also went the extra mile when he noticed that my water pressure in the sink was low and went and replaced the screens on both the kitchen and master bedroom faucets.

Most recently I’ve had experience with Anthony and Pedro both of whom have been very friendly and responsive to fix any issues that I have had. This is my second lease with MAA and honestly overall very good place to live. Always clean (thanks to the maintenance guy I always see working. If you see this man just know youre appreciated).I do have some complaints however:1. Me, cousin and a few other people had our catalytic converters stolen one night. Things happen living in a city and I understand that. But it kind of seemed like they werent going to do anything about it to prevent it again. Also there was some break-ins happening a while back and yes they hired security to patrol at night but that didnt last very long. Basically I would appreciate some kind of security measure since it is a open community.2. The landscaping people come to mow quite frequently. I think its kind of waste because Ive seen them come and mow even when the grass is short.Other than that its a fairly nice community and is close to a lot of spots here in Austin.

I can only say good things about Colonial Grand at Double Creek. The front staff is amazing and will bend over backwards to make things great for you here. The maintenance staff is also incredible. I have lived in quite a few apartments and this is by far the best experience I have ever had. I only hope moving out in the next month will be as easy. You cant go wrong with this apartment, the management and maintenance staff here.

Ive lived here for about a year. Best place Ive lived at. Anytime I have an issue or a problem they are quick to solve it. I love that they keep up with the landscaping and yes silver fish and spiders may be a problem sometimes but this place is out of the city, which I love. And if I ever need pest control they are good about processing my request. I havent had an issue and the office personnel has always been great.

I love my apartment here! The only thing I would hope to see changed in the future is that you cant move in until 4 pm on your move in day and I think its bad I have to pay for that days rent but cant be in my apartment on that day. I understand that its MAAs Policy so that they can fix whatever last minute thing might be wrong. And while I appreciate this, maybe do that the day before? or tell me my move in date is the day before I pay for an entire day of being able to enjoy my new home! :)

Parking is outside the apartment and had our catalytic convertor stolen in broad daylight. Reported to MAA by phone but never got back on me.son reported it in the office and Austin police. MAA should make the apartment a gated one and provide each tenant a garage opener. Should install security cameras and security lights all over. MAA Las Colinas seem to be the safest . Poor lighting in parking lots. Should add more garbage dumpster.The apartment itself is great with new appliances and lots of windows

My roommate and I searched all over the city for the perfect apartment and we finally found it! So many 2 bedroom floor plans were set up in a way that one bedroom was always significantly bigger and had a better closet than the 2nd bedroom. Colonial Grand @ DC has the perfect set up for roommates. The bedrooms are the same size and the closet/bathroom spaces are equal. The laundry room is next to the entrance so the noise doesn’t disrupt anyone sleeping. The bedrooms are separated by the living room, which is a plus. The community as a whole is very quiet and clean. The only con is that you have to pay for cable even if you don’t use it. The front office staff is attentive and friendly all the time. Don’t let the bad reviews discourage you, these apartments are a hidden gem!! 💕

LOVED IT HERE! Recently moved out but the whole time I was there I did not have any trouble with anything. There was a water leak coming from the apartment above me and the maintenance guy came right away and started to fix it before it became worse. Kayleigh is amazzzingggggg!!!!!!! She followed up with me after the incident and made sure everything was back to normal. She definitely took care of everything check in when I moved in. She is really nice and understanding! I would recommend this place to anyone. The pool and gym are super clean and nice. They apartment complex as a whole is really quiet. Expect the loud neighbors above me.....Remember to speak with Kayleigh if your looking for a new place to live :)

Ive lived in apartments since 2009. Far and away the 15 months spent at Colonial were the best in terms of how well the office handled issues and had a professional and friendly demeanor. I was routinely in the office (Amazon) and was always greeted with a smile and once they knew my name always used it. I was so used to always choosing apartments based off everything BUT the office due to the consistent attitudes of the staff. Most acted as if they never wanted to be there, Ill write it down and give to... and never did. Kaleigh and Rody were exceptional at all points and it truly was a great stay. The only reason for moving was my job is in Round Rock and Georgetown.

I have lived here over a year now and this place is pretty good. The up side is before Christmas I got a package which Amazon logistics should of dropped at my door on Monday before Christmas but took to the office right before closing and I was working late and couldnt get it then they were closed thenext 2 days I called to see if there was anyway to get it seeing I needed it for Ch ristmas vacation and the courtesy officer couldnt help but somehow the maintenance found out and just before leaving for out of town the head maintenance DanielFound out and gave us the package and saved ChristmasThe staff is really nice and I can tell they care about the resident . I love the activities and stuff that they have but wish when they did food for dinner it would go till 7 and not 5 or 6 for people arriving home late after work.A big downside is the trash problem and they do need to put another trash compactor at the other side of the property so trash wont over flow and u cant put it anywhere except where it doesnt go. Please fix this asap with another compactor. Also if you could avoid the high rent raises every year then I could stay here for years and not have to move againThanks for listening

Best apartments! Feels more like a home than apartment, the lay out/ design and overall set up is awesome! Landscaping is always neatly done and pool is super clean any day of the week. The proximity to shopping areas and schools is also great. You get a lot for your money living here.

It has such a sense of family community. Most of the residents that I have talked to have lived here long term and are very satisfied. The community and the landscaping are beautiful and very well maintained. Kayleigh and Zac have been very helpful and make sure requests are finished in a very timely manner. I am proud to be part of this community.

Okay, so heads up. This place rocks! Talk to Angie at the front desk -- She has such a great and positive attitude. After conversations with her, whether about the renewing a lease or asking for help at the apartment, I always leave feeling pretty happy we picked and will renew with Colonial Grand at Double Creek.Now to the meaty stuff:Parking (4/5):So early on we had lots of people that were kids from the high school next door parking at the apartments. It didnt really become a problem until a ton of them started doing it. Towing was enforced and then now we have to use stickers and the student parking has died down significantly.Maintenance (5/5):With our new born in the apartment, having had ants was a biiiiiig no no. So we immediately asked the office staff to get this taken care of. The pest control company comes out on Mondays only so they totally went out of their way to help us with ant killing, baby safe, stuff to put on the corners were we saw trouble.On Monday, they guys came out and did what they knew to do. No ants after that day. No bites on baby, 2 thumbs up.Construction (5/5):There was a little construction at first. We moved in when they were still working on the building next to us. After the construction was completed and done I kind of forgot about the noise. It never really bothered us.Noise (5/5):The Noise level now is one of the reasons were staying here. Its so nice and peaceful.Grounds (5/5):I seriously see landscaping guys come out ever week. It sometimes freaks me out how much they really take care of the grounds. Its gorgeous all around. :)Safety (5/5):Each unit comes equipped with its own alarm system. I like the little chirp chirp when you enter or leave the apartment. :) Aside from that, weve never felt threatened or anything like that here. Its pretty chill. No worries here.Office Staff (5/5): Angie rocks! But so do the rest of the staff members at the front desk, their a lively bunch. Youll enjoy touring the place.Well, I guess thats about it huh? I just wanted to send a huge THANK YOU to the staff and on-site security personnel at Colonial Grand at Double Creek.This morning the leasing team greeted residents with breakfast doughnuts at the entrance of the property. That was a treat!This evening, when I discovered my car had a flat tire, our onsite security team member, came to my assistance and got me back on the road in no time! The team goes above and beyond and I appreciate it greatly.

GREAT place to live. I moved here Sept. 2015, and just transferred to a new apt in this complex over Labor Day Weekend and I love it!Now that Velvet is gone (man, what a piece of work she was.......she charged $100 for lease violations......that price is against the lease, for Gods sake.......glad shes gone......she should be fired), Nicole Ingle is the new manager. What a pleasure to work with her. She even moved her office to the front, so she could meet residents & be accessible to them. Imagine that!The front office staff is awesome too. The new leasing agent, Zach, fits right in. Then theres Rody, who was recently promoted to Asst. Mgr.; he was easy to work with during my apt. transfer. And to top it off, theres Kayleigh. Shes the reason I moved to my new apt. and I appreciate her bringing the idea of moving to me because it saved me a little $$. Who doesnt want that, right?!?!? And its so quiet here, I have a garage, etc. etc. So many advantages. Thanks!Dont pay attn. to these idiots who leave a bad review & dont explain why. Immature. If youre gonna complain by leaving a One-Star review, at least say why. Geez.Come stay here! Be sure to tell Nicole, Rody, Kayleigh and/or Zack that I sent you!

This Community Is by far one of the best places I’ve lived. Friendly helpful staff, maintenance takes no more than a day to complete requests, very clean, quiet place to live. Finding a place to park was never an issue. I miss this place so much! I definitely recommend living here!

This place is fantastic! Ive been here now for six years and things are going great. Its nearby everything you need within South Austin and the staff there are friendly and provide excellent, quick service. If you need a South Austin apartment I highly recommend giving this place a look soon.

Very attentive, professional, knowledgeable.Once again, high praise to the Maintenance team, specifically Mario and Pedro. Their dedication and attention to the property is superior. They are true professional who respond to any major issues that may affect our comfort. I have witnessed them working after hours in inclement weather.I will miss living here. No place is perfect, but this is pretty close to it.
