I recently moved into MAA Barton, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience so far. From the moment I walked into the leasing office, I felt welcomed and supported. The head leasing professional, Sandy, truly went above and beyond to make the process seamless and enjoyable.Sandys professionalism and kindness stood out immediately. She was incredibly knowledgeable, answering all my questions with patience and detail. She even took the time to show me multiple units to ensure I found the perfect fit for my needs. Her warm personality made what could have been a stressful process feel easy and stress-free.The apartment itself is fantastic. It’s clear that the management team takes pride in maintaining the property. My unit is spotless, with modern finishes and thoughtful details that make it feel like home. Really great place to live, have been here 1.5 years, just resigned for one more. Location by trailhead is best feature. Apartments are nice and front office is both nice and professional. Other residents seem pretty great, neighborhood is quiet with lots of trees. Any occasional issues Ive had with apartment (garbage disposal, etc), complex has been happy to help with promptly. Highly recommend!

MAA Barton Skyway has PRIME location - just 7 minutes from the heart of downtown. You get all the benefits of being close to the heart of the city without the noise and chaos. Sandy and the maintenance team are great, they respond promptly to maintenance requests and take any issue seriously helping to find solutions. The scenery surrounding these apartments is beautiful, lots of greenery and located 0.2 miles from a hiking trail.My main complaint deals with MAA corporation, we lived in one of the units ~1000 away and they steadily increased the rent (significant $ increase the third year). We ended up having to move exact units (within the same complex!) just to save nearly $1000 per month. They were not at all accommodating, which was extremely frustrating. Keep steep rent increases in mind if you decide to live here. Overall, I recommend it.

Even though I didnt end up leasing here (change of plans on my end) I had a very positive experience! Sandy in the front office went above and beyond to make sure all of my questions were answered, and that I saw every part of the community. Barton Skyway truly is a gorgeous place to live, and its access to hiking trails is unbeatable for its price point. I believe this is a great place to live :) Thank you Sandy & co.!

A year ago, I decided to move my family into MAA Barton Skyway Apartments. It has been one of the best decisions in my life! The location is fantastic, I’ve been able to explore Austin from the perfect starting point. The school district is one of the best ones in Texas. From the very beginning, Sandy made us feel like family. Rudy and Jace, and the rest of the maintenance crew have made us feel an extra layer of security and comfort. I’ve been impressed this year how fast the staff responds to any questions I have. The pool is always clean, and the landscaping has been such a therapeutic walk for me this year. It was an easy decision to renew my lease here. My kids love the staff here, and get excited to see them. It makes me love the staff even more because this will always be a special memory for my family and me!

I love living here for so many reasons. The office is friendly and professional, (Sandy and Justin are the best) and Rudy and maintenance are always quick if needed. The complex is dog friendly with the green belt in your back yard. Very happy with location and my apartment. Highly recommend this place!

MAA Barton Skyway is an amazing place to live. I have lived here for over 11 years and cannot say enough about how much I like it. Sandy in the office is always a warm and smiling face and will help with anything she is able to! Anytime I have had a maintenance issue the property team is always quick to take care of it and checks back to make sure I do not have any other issues. The location of the property could not be any better being right on the Barton Creek Greenbelt, and a mile from Zilker Park/Barton Springs!

I truly only have good things to say about MAA Barton Skyway. The location is prime, with access to the Greenbelt and taco deli. The building is our older, but maintenance has always been on top of issues that pop up. If you own a dog, this is definitely the place to be. Sandy, Justin, and Rudy are so loving toward my dog and spoil her every day with treats. They are decent people who make my stay here even more comfortable.

I love the staff and everyone in this community ! It’s beautiful! Sandy , who is in the leasing office is amazing . Rudy, who is over maintenance is awesome . They make it a community not just an apartment complex . The kindness and friendliness doesn’t stop after you move in either. Every time I go into the leasing office to collect a package , Sandy always stops to catch up. Rudy , always stops to check in when he passes me on his golf cart and it makes a huge difference and contributes to an overall sense of belonging. I’ve lived in an apartment complex before this and it was constantly changing staff . Sandy has been here forever and so has Rudy. That’s rare ! The residents here are also so sweet . We have been here 1.5 years and we are so happy. We live in a beautiful and peaceful spot on the Greenbelt. I so enjoy our little corner of the world and take pride in living here . All the residents I’ve met here are happy and speak very highly of the professional team! I have been living at MAA Barton Skyway for one year, and I absolutely love it. The atmosphere of the area, shaded with trees and manicured premises feels like living in a treehouse. Its wonderfully close to the beautiful Spyglass Barton Creek Trail, which is only about a 15-20 minute walk to Barton Springs and Zilker Park. And, its just a 5-minute drive to Barton Creek Mall and Downtown.One of my favorite things about MAA Barton Skyway is how dog-friendly they are, not just the property, the staff always welcomes my dog in their office with treats and provides coffee and snacks for me. All of the staff members are exceptionally welcoming, friendly, professional and attentive, ensuring excellent communication regarding my needs and questions. Maintenance requests are completed in a professional and timely manner.The pool area is fabulous, offering both shaded and sunny areas with tables, umbrellas, and lounge chairs for sunbathing and relaxing. You can even pick up the community Wi-Fi at the pool! It is well-maintained and always clean, ready for a cool dip year-round.The gym is clean and well-equipped with all the basic needs and more to help me continue my health and fitness goals. Inside my apartment, I enjoy updated appliances and features, lovely tree views from my large patio, spacious rooms and closets, and excellent cooling and heating. One of the best parts is that my apartment is a keyless smart home! No more digging in my purse to find the house key or worrying about misplacing or losing it.Additionally, the pricing at MAA Barton Skyway is very reasonable for the quality and location. Given the amenities, the beautiful setting, and the proximity to key areas, I find it to be a great value.I have and will continue to highly recommend start living your best life at MAA Barton Skyway Apartments in Austin Texas.

I lived at The Woods on barton skyway from 2003-2005 while at UT. Im sure its been updated or renovated since that time but I loved it. It was very reasonable for a spacious 1 bdrm, particularly compared to newer apts off mopac. Prior to living at the Woods I lived at the Gables right off Mopac very close to barton skyway. Hands down I preferred The Woods. The Gables was newer but it was not worth the added expense, and setting aside the price difference I still felt the Woods was much more comfortable. Apartments dont always feel like home to me but I never had that experience at the Woods. Amenities were solid- nice pool, adequate gym, nice staff, well maintained community areas, excellent parking; I loved how shaded it was and it felt nice and tucked away although you were minutes from zilker, downtown, walking distance to green belt and most importantly Taco Deli. Good times.

MAAC Barton Skyway is the best! The leasing manager Sandy doesnt just do great leasing. She is always there for any help we may need. And the maintenance manager Rooty has come out at 10 PM FROM HIS BED! to help us with a maintenance problem, not to mention going into my sink drain on another occasion to find a teeny tiny heirloom earing I had accidentally dropped in it. My boyfriend and I have lived here for 6 years. And before that, I lived here for 20 years! Cant say enough good about it! Yall come on in!

When my wife got laid off while we were living in DFW we last minute decided to pack up and move to Austin. She went down to spend a day looking at apartments and Sandy showed her a unit.It was outdated, for sure. But the large patio backed up to trees, you could see the skyline from the top of the hill and enter the greenbelt from the bottom. We signed a lease that day and spent nearly 5 years in that apartment.We eventually outgrew it and moved out, but what a place!We loved walking our dog around the property and he loved sleeping on the porch and kept a watchful eye out for the many critters (armadillos lived under us, racoons, opossums, squirrels, and the occasional snake and coyote!)We loved walking to Zilker, hiking the greenbelt, and shopped at Thoms and Taco Deli more times that we could count. The pool (while a mosquito magnet) feels private and peaceful, its not a party pool! The trees kept it cool during the sweltering summer days, we miss it the most.Sandy is a saint and cant imagine that place without her! Rudy is also the best maintenance person Ive ever had. Always prompt and efficient. Our dog gets anxious when people come by, but he loved Rudy.Cons? of course: trash compacter was broken more than it worked, gym is outdated, pool chairs rarely fixed, open parking led to many car door dings, and the dog park was useless (and bugs, but youre on the greenbelt! pro tip: dont remove spiderwebs near your doors, the best natural bug repellent!) But the price, location, safety, and neighbors made it to where it wasnt even a thought of whether we would resign.

Loved living here, great location and super safe. The apartments are a little bit pricey but I really enjoyed being so close to nature. I would love them to update the dog park with some grass but overall I lived on the first floor and I barely had any bugs coming in, all the appliances worked, and the community is super nice and supportive. Shout out to the AMAZING office team and quick maintenance

Ive lived at this community for 2 years now and cant say enough great things about it. They keep the grounds clean and safe. Sandy and Samantha (leasing office staff) are always there to help or give my dog a treat whatever the task they will be there for you. When Ive submitted a maintenance request on the rare occasion, they are prompt and respectful when entering my apartment. The neighbors are really sweet and it feels like a connected community. Also its so nice to be able to walk the greenbelt whenever I want!

Ive lived at The Woods for just about seven years. I started in a one bedroom and moved into a two bedroom after a couple of years in order to have a little space for a home office. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful. I sincerely believe they do everything in their power to make the life of the residents as pleasant as possible. Theyve gone above and beyond for me a couple of times. On the rare occasion when Ive filed a service request, the problems have been addressed promptly and professionally. The grounds are kept clean and well maintained. Ive enjoyed the pool in the summer.

I lived here for 6 months previously and had to move away for work, but moved back because it was a very positive experience. This time, we’ve lived here 3 months so far.The area feels very safe. The apartments are located immediately next to the Spyglass entrance of Barton Creek Greenbelt, a Thom’s Market, and Tacodeli. There are only 2 stories. Many of the upstairs units have wood burning fireplaces. The patios are very large, when compared to the more modern 5+1 style apartment micro-patios that seem to pop up everywhere more and more. Many units have patios that back up to natural greenbelt. Nature is abundant around the complex. The homes also have thermostats, lights, and front door locks that can be controlled with an app. Oh and they don’t have dog breed or weight restrictions, which is great if you have a breed that is usually restricted from apartments. The pool is a good size, and surrounded by trees so relaxing. Office and maintenance teams go above and beyond (Sandy, Rudy, and Sadie in particular get honorable mentions). Rent is somewhat fair for the area right now, expensive for the age of the complex but very good for proximity to downtown.To contrast the good stuff and give a full picture, this is not what I’d call a luxury apartment: laminate on counters, popcorn ceilings, surface parking lot only (kitchen appliances are stainless though!). The complex was built in the late 70s, though updated inside to match the times. The kitchens in smaller 1 bedroom floor plan as well as the smaller 2/1 plan are very small galley style kitchens, and made smaller if you set a countertop microwave and other appliances out.Overall I would recommend living here, especially if you’re looking for something quieter but still near downtown and Zilker.

I have lived at The Woods for over 7 years. The location is excellent for everything. The staff is amazing. They treat me like family. Sandy is amazing. My dogs get spoiled too. They drag me to the clubhouse for treats. The maintenance staff is professional and promptly attends to your needs. The units are older but they are always updating and address any of your needs immediately.

One of the nicest place my wife and I have had the pleasure of living at. The area, close to town and the greenbelt, is of course great. But the real pleasure is in the staff and apt neighbors around us. Attention, polite and patient, the management and maintenance staff offer confidence in living at the Woods. Add that nearly everyone we meet that also lives here is considerate of each other in terms of noise, attention to pets, and easy to meet or greet manner, and the Woods on Barton Skyway offers a seldom experienced feel of the Austin we first fell in love with decades ago!

If youre looking for a quiet community and a management staff that is helpful and caring - this is the place for you!A HUGE shoutout to Sandy and Heather in the front office, they were amazing and went above and beyond to answer my questions and work with me on my move-in options.I was able to schedule an appointment to tour last minute and Sandy was very accommodating, and I had the chance to tour the units at my leisure and get all my questions answered. They provide a very detailed breakdown of all the fees and rent requirements, so all your estimated costs are known upfront - so you wont have to worry about surprise charges if you decide to sign with them.The aesthetic of the community is very beautiful. Youre right off of the Barton Creek Greenbelt so theres lots of greenery and its close to all the trailheads. The way the units are configured, you have privacy without feeling isolated.Overall, its a wonderful community to be apart of, I encourage you to check it out for yourself - you wont be disappointed!

I was new to the Austin area and found this gem. The location is convenient to everything, the neighborhood is pedestrian friendly and the property is extremely well maintained. Denise and Sandy are rock stars! These two and the maintenance staff are such a tight team that as a community member, I had no clue the previous manager went on maternity leave, chose to stay home as a new mommy and after a period of maybe 6-7 months the new manager arrived. Everything was so seamless. Wow, talk about a great staff that are empowered, get things done and make life easy for us residents. I give the team and property my highest recommendation!

This is an incredible area of Austin! Perfect for hiking, dog walks, and hanging out by the pool or at Barton Springs. When we moved here our friends highly recommended The Woods, and were thrilled we listened! Its a short ride or bike to downtown and all the local hot spots. Ive been living in the community since 2012 and I have to say its been great!! Youre a mile away from downtown,the greenbelt is at the bottom of the hill. Our community is filled with all kinds of personalities and pet friendly people.Not to mention The Woods office and staff all of which are great at what they do and are on point with any issues that pop up. Yes, this is an older complex so there are quirks once and a while but they handle it in a timely manner. The Woods on Barton Skyway is a great place to meet and make new friends if youre new to the community. Good Luck!!!

Do not let the lack of stars for this apartment complex fool you. By far, this is THE BEST PLACE Ive lived in Austin. I moved to Austin about 8 years ago, and I have lived in multiple places, from around the UT campus, to the North side, to Riverside, to the West Austin side of town, and I can surely say this is the best place Ive resided. Sandy and Denise are by far the best, and most friendliest apartment staff Ive had the pleasure of meeting. They want to help you out any way possible, and will work with you until you are satisfied and find the perfect location around the complex for you to live in. They LOVE animals, so if you have pets they will always have a welcoming smile and lots of cuddly pets for your fury family members. The maintenance staff here are the most professional and hardworking individuals t Ive meet, and they will get your repair and maintenance requests done in a timely manner, and will not delay or waste your time. To sum it all up, if you are looking for a fantastic place to live in Austin, with extreme proximity to the Greenbelt areas, Zilker Park, S. Congress, S. Lamar, and Downtown areas, look no further because this is the only place you need to see.

We live at The woods, we have loved living here. Its a sweet paradise, private, secluded, Tacodeli down the street, Thoms Market too. We are spoiled by a great staff in the leasing office. Sandy is the most hard working, kind leasing agent I have met, always on top of her game. The guys in maintenance are prompt and great at keeping our units maintained and repaired. We have a new manager Amber who has brought alot of great ideas to bring us residents together. Brandon our assistant manager is also very sweet and professional ready to take care of all our questions and concerns. We are blessed here.

Overall I have had a great experience living here. Of course there will be the normal mishaps like something breaking down (cause it happens!) but Ive never had an issue with maintenance coming out and fixing it right away. Denise in the office has multiple times helped me and my roommate out when there has been a mistake or a miscommunication, so thankful for that. In the end, the woods is definitely a hidden gem because of the price for the location. Youre 1 exit from DT, walking distance from the greenbelt and theres Tacodeli as your neighbor. #boom #easydecision
