Review 1 (2025-02-05 - Rating: 4)
This building was my only option/choice, I researched the place for four years. I wanted a quiet, clean and safe place to live downtown Dallas. October of 2024, I moved myself and my service dog from NY to Dallas. Everything was super smooth, thank G-d. I only have one issue and that is being handled (This has nothing do with the building itself). Management will do what is asked of them (Which is important). I think the maintenance crew is absolutely amazing. For anyone reading this, this is my honest review. -

I have been delaying a review of this property for quite some time. I believe it is now timely. As a resident of several years, I have witnessed significant enhancements in the front desk, leasing agent, property managers, cleanliness, and beautification. Credit is due to the new manager, Ray, and Hailey, as well as the maintenance staff for their improvements. Please note that this is an older building, and some ongoing issues are inevitable. Nevertheless, this is the very reason I appreciate residing in this building, as it reminds me of New Yorks exposed brick, industrial-style piping, and open floor plan. -

We moved here in May for work and could not be happier with our choice! The management and maintenance teams have been extremely reactive the one we had an issue -a bird flew into my window and shattered the outside pane. I am greeted warmly whenever I get home from work by Ray and the holiday decorations and flowers make it such a lovely place to come home to. The safety I feel based on the security is also a great benefit. I love it here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to live downtown. -
Review 4 (2024-10-04 - Rating: 5)
I love my loft! First the security- I think this is the safest apartment community in Dallas. Tonya and Christian the night guards are here every night and then the parking garage always has a guard too. That and there’s cameras everywhere that I feel very safe. Second - the look and feel of the loft - it’s amazing! Original brick walls and tall concrete ceilings. The moody lobby is amazing too. Hailey and Ray in the leasing office are so positive, friendly, and helpful and the maintenance team is very responsive! One thing I’m not a fan of is the pool furniture outside and wish it had nicer plants. That being said, the area is amazing too - so many coffee shops and events at att discovery district. Not to mention cowboys fit is attached. I’ve had a great experience so far! -
Review 5 (2024-02-14 - Rating: 5)
After living here for a year I can say that the staff as it currently is has been very helpful. There were some issues initially but things have definitely improved. The consistent communication and updates have been great and any issues with maintenance was resolved swiftly. It was a great experience living here and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a budget friendly loft style apartment in downtown Dallas. -
Review 6 (2024-11-23 - Rating: 4)
Overall Love it. It is taking a long time to get the elevators to not look like we live in the hood. But the staff is awesome and go the extra mile to make it feel like a home. Love the decorations and they quick to take care of my request and are very helpful in just general local knowledge. I would recommend to my colleagues and friends -
Review 7 (2021-09-17 - Rating: 5)
I’ve lived at Interurban coming up on two years and my experience has been nothing but awesome. The building itself is so beautiful. Exposed brick, concrete floors, hardwood floors. Huge windows and amazing views. Because of the concrete I almost never hear my neighbors. The staff is so friendly and communicative when there are changes and issues that may arise in the area. The area itself is SUPER walkable. Two Starbucks, CVS, a pretty well stocked grocery store (Berkeley’s Market), a ton of restaurants, a farmers market, two bus stations, three train stations, the Dallas Central Public Library, a dog park, two museums, my dentists office were all within walking distance. The gym in the building isn’t great but you get a discount to Cowboy fit which is literally right next door and there is a planet fitness that is about a 6 min drive away. Honestly you don’t even really need a car staying here but there is a secure parking garage with only one incident I’m aware of since I’ve been here (minor accident). It’s almost always full but if you can get in I say go for it! I hate to leave 💔 -

This is such a beautiful property! I loved the industrial finishes, but I loved the customer service even more. Ray Lane went above and beyond during my tour and was very knowledgeable. If you’re looking for a new home in downtown Dallas, this is definitely worth checking out! -
Review 9 (2024-11-19 - Rating: 5)
I was blown away by not only how beautiful this community was, but also how great the customer service was! The community manager Ray came out and greeted me and made me feel welcomed along with the other staff members. Seems like a great place to live. They are definitely at the top of my list! -
Review 10 (2023-03-17 - Rating: 5)
I am giving Interurban a FIVE STAR REVIEW and here are some key points.Living here at Interurban the last 2 years has really changed my view on how I treat people, and how I react to the world outside myself. The location, the access you have to the inner city, the history behind every monumental historic building, draws you a little closer to a real feeling you can only experience from living here. You see all classifications of people, rich - poor. American, German, African, all races, and cultures fill the streets. Dallas is home when you’re here at Interurban. Original concrete floors, pretty brick accent walls, historic bricking on the elevator, beautiful well kept lobby, that was once a train station way back in the early 1900s. The maintenance men Phil and Dez, will make conversation and build a real relationship with you, they will fix what you need, when you send a request. The new management Shannon and Sarah are the new pieces to this puzzle of downtown living that Interurban needed. A warm, welcoming smile from Sarah the minute you walk in, to a strong independent Management leader Shannon, who will get things done for you quickly and efficient, you feel the sense of YOU MATTER, which is why I resigned, and upgraded to beautiful, larger loft! Make your home at Interurban, and truly experience a downtown feel, you can’t get anywhere else! Thanks Interurban team -

Lived here for five years and would not want to live anywhere else! Excellent staff! Gorgeous units! Great neighbors! Safe!! Can’t beat the prices either! -
Review 12 (2022-03-20 - Rating: 5)
I absolutely love this unit. It has an amazing view. I chose this building because of the location and the safey of having security around. Also the staff is great, they have gone above and beyond to make me feel at home and assist me with any questions or concerns. -
Review 13 (2024-09-12 - Rating: 5)
Ray & Hailey were great with taking care of me with my move in. They answered every question I had (I ask a lot of questions). They’ve went above and beyond to ensure that I am taken care of. I definitely recommend them for any of your immediate needs here on this premises. -
Review 14 (2024-11-08 - Rating: 5)
I visited on 2/22/22 and met with the manager, Shannon. Even though the systems were down and Shannon was new in the role, she did an excellent job with my tour and I move in next month!6/10/22 Update: So, Ive been living here since the end of March and heres what you should know: Maintenance, led by Desmond, is amazing. They respond to everything asap and the most Ive had to wait to get something fixed was just 3 business days and it wasnt an emergency but when I had an emergency, Desmond responded asap at 2 am in the morning and fixed the leak expeditiously. I remain pleased to live at the Interurban and continue to recommend it highly. Also, David is the Manager and hes top notch. Im new in town and he has recommended the best places to check out. Nothing is too much for David; he will address any inquiry timely, enthusiastically and professionally. Im a certain type of person (HR Director, Type A and probably a few other things) and this team surpasses my (high) expectations. This is my first time living in a building as Ive always been a homeowner so I was quite nervous about renting and moving into a building but there isnt anything to fear living at Interurban. Go ahead and apply.4/5/24 Update:I renewed my initial 18 month lease for another year and I remain pleased with my choice to live here. The staff, led by Shannon, is still super awesome, friendly and amazing. Desmond ensures that the maintenance team is responsive and effective and Ms. Latonya is the most hardworking security personnel that Ive ever seen. Its always very clean, quite and safe. So long as renewal rates remain reasonable, I dont have a reason to leave this awesome place.11/8/24 Update:This place is still great. I was having issues with my water heater (I think thats what it is called) and Desmond replaced it asap. The next day, I had no hot water and Phil, also a member of the maintenance team, fixed it first thing in the morning, even changed my air filters (not requested by me) and called me to let me know everything was done. The Interurbans staff remains top notch. -
Review 15 (2024-02-17 - Rating: 5)
I have been living here for almost 2 years and I can say that the staff has made my experience wonderful. The staff is very caring and the maintenance team is very responsive and quick to address any work order. The building itself has personality which is great, and offers all the basic amenities you need to enjoy living here. -
Review 16 (2023-11-06 - Rating: 4)
My boyfriend and I lived here for almost two years and unfortunately had to relocate out of state recently for work. The first year was rough with David being neglectful, but when they brought Shannon in I knew things would get turned around. Shannon and Hailey are the best things to happen to IB! They are very attentive and action driven. If you have a problem they are more than happy to work with you to find a resolution. The maintenance team is hands down the best crew Ive ever encountered and anyone who lives here is lucky to have two hard working men that take the greatest care of this century old building. If you like charm and industrial buildings with lots of history this is your place to live! -
Review 17 (2024-01-06 - Rating: 5)
My apartment was super clean when I moved in and the location is great. The security is also top notch and the management has been super helpful. The maintenance team is also GREAT and super friendly. I would definitely recommend this building to anyone looking to move downtown! -
Review 18 (2023-10-22 - Rating: 5)
I came to Dallas for work, I had a very unique situation and Shannon & Hailey were helpful, accommodating, and wonderful to work with. This building has so much character, its very nice, and they upkeep it well. I have very very few bad things to say.Location: This location is prime for me! My work is literally right across the street. There is a very nice gym in the same building, which residents get a discount at. The Discovery District is a great place to hangout, grab a drink, and watch the weekend games play live on the HUGE screen. When it comes to nightlife, I typically go out to uptown or lower greenville, which is a short 10 min. uber (like $8) away. When it comes to convenience, I do have to drive out of downtown for groceries. I initially thought there would be grocery stores within walking distance, but no big deal. Interurban is located in the heart of downtown, which is a busy area on the weekends! It can be loud, but that is nothing that Interurban can change, so I cant really blame that on them. I wont lie either, you can hear gunshots and people revving their engines on the weekends. But Again, that is a city of Dallas problem, not an interurban problem. I wouldnt suggest living downtown of any city if you dont like noise. I got used to it very quickly.Safety: Safety was a top priority for me when apartment shopping, especially as a girl. and I can say that I rarely feel unsafe here. Overnight security roam the halls of each floor at the top or bottom of the hour each night. We share a garage with AT&T employees throughout the week, and there is security standing at the parking garage entrance at all hours of the day and night as well (including weekends). This garage is open to the public on the weekends, but personally I have never had a problem with my car being vandalized or broken into. I also have a ring doorbell for ease of mind, which a lot of residents do as well.Apartment: I saw a lot of reviews about dirty apartments upon move in, but mine was squeaky clean. I have never heard a cricket ever, so I dont know what that review was about. Beautiful white kitchen counter tops, exposed brick (my favorite part), very industrial feel. Appliances are Whirlpool. Shower is a really pretty dark tone tile. I hate the washer and dryer, but they work fine, I am just picky lmao. Lacks kitchen cabinet space, but completely doable. I love the openness of these apartments. There is so much room for creativity and making it feel homey. Maintenance responds to work orders within a timely manner, which is even awesome. The floors and ceilings are concrete, so you cant hear anything from your upstairs or downstairs neighbor. And honestly, I have never heard anything from my neighbors next to me either. Very quite building, full of respectful and quiet residents. I have never had a problem with my packages being stolen when theyre delivered to my door, and sometimes they sit out for hours while I am at work.Cons: Parking is $105/ month, which is kind of expensive. But its well worth it- especially because of the security guards at all hours. -
Review 19 (2023-11-07 - Rating: 5)
Maintenance 5 stars 🌟 shout out to Dez and Phil.Management has also been on point if you have an issue you let them know and more than likely it will get fixed in 24 hours or less .This building has been around for quite some time it used to be an old railway station. Maintaining a place like this definitely takes some work but like I said they definitely do there best here .My time living here was enjoyable, peaceful and entertaining. The access to the at&t district was a plus , the gym 🏋️♂️ on the first floor offered a discount also the gym in the building located in the basement ehhhhh .....Parking would cost 105 a month but definitely worth it since theres cameras and 24 hour security which made it safer. The Amazon lock box is available in the basement and sometimes out of order (AMAZON ISSUE ) twice it was down in my 4 years of being there .Theres a pool also but it was under repair most of the 2023 summer but the new Management Shannon and Hailey have been working tirelessly on the property to get things done .Ive seen improvement with the property .Overall this was a very good experience and I called it home.Sad to leave the dallas area but when I move back Ill definitely stay at IB -
Review 20 (2022-09-27 - Rating: 5)
Lived here since February and I love it. I switched to a larger apartment in May and the process was super simple. The maintenance team is amazing and have been super helpful with all of our maintenance requests. The prices are very fair for unique industrial lofts especially with the prices of much smaller lofts nearby. Like any apartment complex, you are going to have some problems, but theyve done an overall good job of addressing issues. Some examples within the last year:- When the AC system started malfunctioning they went ahead and replaced the system. It took some trials, but then again were experiencing record heat in Dallas and an overextended power grid- Parking was hellish as in person work resumed for AT&T offices nearby. Interurban worked with AT&T and there are now designated parking spaces for Interurban residents. Any issues with the garage isnt Interurbans fault as its owned by AT&TTo be improved on:- There are some pet owners who are irresponsible: dogs peeing in building and not cleaning it up etc.- The pool does need to be cleaned more often as the recent storms have made the pool unusable on some of the hottest days. However issues with the hot tub not being warm in May were promptly fixed by June.- David can be a bit standoffish at first, but he is friendly with residents -
Review 21 (2022-11-15 - Rating: 5)
I’ve lived here for 3 months, and it’s one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a complex and a staff. I love Greystar properties in general, but this one in particular. The building is over 100 years old, it’s expected to have issues here and there, but the maintenance team is the best I’ve ever had. Beyond being on top of everything, they’re the nicest guys. David has never been anything but helpful & responsive. The property manager is also one of the best I’ve encountered- she’s never given me the run around or made me feel like my issues were not important to her, as she has helped me personally a few times.Having lived in 7 different apartments, I love this place. -
Review 22 (2022-05-17 - Rating: 5)
There is but one thing that will make me leave InterUrban, and that is when I buy again! The management here is unbelievable! They truly, truly care about their residents. The living experience here is stellar. Maintenance responds promptly to requests, the floors are mopped constantly, as well as trash in the trash rooms or just rogue trash is also handled in a very timely manner. Bottom line, this building stays clean. The security is through AT&T, and they are all very respectful and helpful to the residents and do a fantastic job in maintaining our security. I like that they are stationed at different areas in the building and they walk the premises. Point being, there is a sense of safety and security here, as well the AT&T security is a great deterrent to nonsense, which is great since this is my home.I’m actually going on record to say that this is by far the best apartment overall that I’ve ever lived in. Mic drop. -
Review 23 (2022-07-18 - Rating: 5)
I love this building and my beautiful apartment! The staff is so helpful and my experience has been so personal. Im also amazed at how well designed my apartment is. I have a studio and was concerned that it might be cramped or cluttered but the space is designed so efficiently that its absolutely perfect and I wouldnt change anything about it. The location is also fantastic. I love that Cowboys Fitness is right downstairs, Royal Blue and CVS are just around the corner and the AT&T Discovery District is visible from my apartment. I will definitely renew my lease, when its up. -
Review 24 (2022-02-03 - Rating: 5)
Lived here for 6 months! The buildings aesthetics are amazing and I always received compliments on how cool my apartment is from friends. I was originally hesitant to live in this area of town, but with the AT&T discovery district, 4&5 star hotels one street north, the farmers market a few blocks east, and the growing east quarter…. it is a fun and walkable area. AT&T owns the building and does an incredible job and has 24/7 security outside the building and inside the building after hours..so I felt safe. I also loved the cowboys fit connected to the building downstairs. Quick drive to uptown and deep ellum, and fun walkable places nearby. I had a great experience and will definitely miss living in my fun loft:) -
Review 25 (2021-07-07 - Rating: 5)
I’ve been living here for exactly a month now and could not have chosen a better place for me to live. Quiet building, I didn’t see any of my neighbors until about 2 weeks in. The walls seem to be sound proof or super thick because you can’t hear any noise from your neighbors. The staff has been nothing but helpful and the maintenance men are very helpful and polite. They also have security 24/7 which makes the building more appealing if you worry about safety especially living downtown. -
Review 26 (2021-09-23 - Rating: 5)
Just moved here and absolutely love it. The staff is amazing and they actually remember your name. The building is beautiful; exposed brick and polished/stained concrete floors. Love that the parking garage is at the end of the hallway. Friend called it spooky because it has that old world feel, but I love it. Its two blocks from Berklys corner market and one block from AT&Ts Discovery District. Plus! if youre a gym fanatic, COWBOYS FIT is right downstairs. -
Review 27 (2017-05-04 - Rating: 5)
Interurban building is a fantastic place to live. Located downtown within walking distance from all of the exciting neighborhoods in Dallas. The staff is always friendly and helpful, with maintenance requests being attended to quickly and professionally. There is an on-call system in place so any emergency maintenance needs can be seen to, and they always show up as quickly as they can. Gym is pretty small, but the equipment provided is fairly new and well maintained. The pool area is also pretty small and could use new furniture but is protected from city noise and outside interference by the rest of the building. All units have a washer and dryer which, while small, is definitely an uncommon amenity. All in all Interurban Building is a great place to live and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering it. -
Review 28 (2023-03-17 - Rating: 5)
I have lived at this property for the last 4+ years and the new management that has come in recently has been absolutely on point in resolving all issues that have come up with my apartment. From maintenance issues being resolved timely to the office staff being friendly and helpful. I will recommend this property to anyone who asks me. -
Review 29 (2020-06-24 - Rating: 5)
I love living here. It’s centrally located, safe, the building is gorgeous, my loft is amazing, my neighbors on my floor are the best and the managers and building techs are hands down the best I’ve experienced. We moved from San Francisco a few years ago and I have a lot of experience apartment/loft living. Interurban is by far my fave. -
Review 30 (2012-11-27 - Rating: 5)
I moved into the Interurban Building about two years ago. This place has really improved since the new management took over a few months after I moved in. They renovated the lounge and the pool area and spiffed up the entrance to the building. The pool is good but not great, not as fancy as some of the places downtown but those places are more expensive. Nothing is perfect but this place is pretty good. Management (greystar, the managed another property I lived in and did a good job) is professional and maintenance is reasonably responsive. And its right downtown but not right now Main Street so it doesnt have all the noise you get on Main St. -
Review 31 (2020-06-25 - Rating: 5)
Most affordable, safe apartment building you can find downtown. Not to mention, the management and maintenance guys feel like neighbors and all are helpful and friendly. I should note that the pictures do not lie, the apartments are as gorgeous and industrial as they seem. Appliances are up to date, the inlaid brick is the best conversation piece, and the history of the building adds the most charm (and was the selling point for me and my fiancée). Amenities include Amazon hub, pool, hot tub, fitness center, communal lounge area (with a TV that has cable), major discount at CowboysFit gym, and walking distance from most, if not all, popular downtown attractions (Dallas Museum of Art, several restaurants, Nasher Sculpture Center, JFK memorial, Dealy Plaza, Main Street park, Neiman Marcus, The Old Red Museum, Reunion Tower, and many more). My only complaint is that the parking garage is a bit pricey($100/month), but you’re not going to find cheaper monthly parking anywhere else near the building. I’ve had nothing but a wonderful experience here at Interurban. The management tries very hard to help everyone feel as if they’re a part of a community. The events they host are a great opportunity to get to know your neighbors. If you can’t tell by now, I’m obsessed with living here. -
Review 32 (2016-10-17 - Rating: 5)
My wife and I knew we wanted to live in some sort of loft, studio-style apartment and looked at almost all of the places in Deep Ellum and downtown before discovering the gem that is Interurban. We had only been expecting to be able to afford some tiny, cramped space, but at Interurban, we are able to live in a spacious 2 bedroom loft that is well within our budget. Utilities are VERY reasonable (especially after hearing outrageous utilities disaster stories from friends who had tried other loft apts.) and the managing staff is always friendly and responsive (shoutout Tori!).I will say this because I dont live under a rock: It is located in downtown, so yes, there have been some issues with living in the downtown area. And sure, it is an older, historic building, so some maintenance issues arise. But, in all of the apartments I have lived in, I have never seen a managing group work harder to ensure the safety and security of its tenants the way that the staff here do.Living in downtown is awesome, our loft rocks, and we have friends over all the time (tons of free guest parking on the street after 6pm and all during weekends...not sure why others complain about that!). In summary, I couldnt recommend Interurban highly enough. -
Review 33 (2023-10-10 - Rating: 5)
Hailey and Shannon cared enough to help switch our outrageous electricity company over that was charging us way too much. They fixed it as soon as they caught it and now we are happy residences! Thanks so much -
Review 34 (2017-01-14 - Rating: 5)
The amenities are awesome and the staff is really friendly and helpful! This is one of the coolest apartments Ive lived in. I love that its a historical building with modern renovations - its a minimalists dream. And of course the convenience of the downtown location is great! -
Review 35 (2020-06-24 - Rating: 4)
I have lived here for over 10 years. The building and management has vastly improved in the last 5 years. Since its a turn-of-the century building, the maintenance team works very hard to keep up with the newer properties in and around Downtown Dallas. The only slight drawback is something the building cant help, which is noise inside and outside the halls (Dallas loves to make holes in streets, which is mostly the cause of the noise). -
Review 36 (2017-08-12 - Rating: 5)
Love my loft! Super walkable to deep ellum, farmers market, and west end. Entire concrete build so you don’t hear your neighbors. Maintenance responds within 24 hours and neighbors are super friendly. Been here for just shy of a year. -
Review 37 (2024-02-24 - Rating: 5)
Interurban Apts downtown is all that you could expect for the name. In the center of downtown Dallas is an unpolished gem nestled between the library & Dallas hotels you stumble upon an urban living location that mixes contemporary & loft with retro city chic to give you- Dallas Interurban Lofts. -
Review 38 (2021-11-21 - Rating: 4)
Nice apartments to live in, right in heart of downtown Dallas, prominent location. Humble staff, pet friendly, book your appointment for showing. There is lot to discover near by. One will not get bore. I couldn’t take apartment but will try another time. -

Ive lived here for almost 5 months and Im so pleased with the staff and property! The management is always very helpful and polite. If I ever have any service calls they are very helpful and fast at solving any problems. The maintanence is great at helping me with any issues I have. Thanks Interurban! -
Review 40 (2020-06-23 - Rating: 5)
It has come a long way over the past 5 years. When reading the comments, I would advise to only read the comments from the past 2 years as management has changed. Anything past that is irrelevant. Great price for square footage and location. The space is unique and rich with history. Worth your time in making it an option. -
