    Devon McCoy is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met in real estate. He really genuinely seems to enjoy his job for the ethical pursuit of putting people into homes they can afford. I will definitely be contacting him again in the future. I’ve also had contact with Jason Sparks over the phone and he’s very professional and timely in his responses.     This is going to be a lengthy review - so I’ll start by simply saying this - Devon McCoy at Hot Spots locating has my highest possible recommendation. You absolutely want to work with him!! My son was looking for an apartment near Texas State, and we were told by everyone that it wasn’t possible to do in mid-January. We were frustrated and defeated. I found Devon on Google, called him, and everything changed. He was upbeat and positive from the start! Devon is a WEALTH of knowledge about San Marcos, real estate, Texas State and apartment hunting. After a quick conversation (and without any pressure) he narrowed down our needs and went to work making calls. In less than an hour, we were out touring properties. He found THREE great properties that were in our budget and desired location. He knew everyone we worked with by name, he taught us a ton about the area and Texas State, and he found my son the perfect apartment. He also knew the answer to every one of our questions. He mapped out locations so we could see distances to various campus spots. He explained flood plains. He shared his own experiences living in San Marcos. Devon is also a real estate broker, and I would highly recommend him to anyone buying or selling a home. He treated us with impeccable service, enthusiasm, respect and knowledge. If you have any real estate needs in the San Marcos area - call Devon! I definitely will!

    Devon has helped me find apartments for the last 2 years and has helped me an INCREDIBLE amount. I could not recommend him more, he is so nice and funny and really wants to help you and make sure you get the right apartment for the right price. If you are a student who is new to apartment life or just having trouble figuring our where to go next like I was, he is the person to go to.

    I was lucky enough to work with Devon at HotSpots not that long ago to find a one bedroom in town. I was working with a small budget and a serious time crunch and he was unbelievably helpful in finding me a place I could afford and that I love. He was friendly and knowledgeable of the the town and what it has to offer a student who doesnt have unlimited funds. A friend of mine recommended him to me because of his wonderful attitude and service, and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needs help finding a place!

    Devon McCoy is one of the most helpful people I’ve ever met in any service, not just apartment locating. Very courteous, attentive to the needs of his clients and willing to go above and beyond to make sure you get the right fit for your search. I didn’t have my car at the time when I was looking and he offered to drive me to check out locations and even gave me a ride back home. He helped me find the best deal possible in San Marcos based on my preferred criteria despite really short notice. He helped me choose an apartment that would save me money and had the most benefits; bang for the buck.     Devon McCoy help me find an apartment at a time when I didnt think I had many options left. He came through for me, found all of these last minute options, showed me all of the places he found for me and helped me narrow down my choices. Hes very smart, works hard and knows his stuff well.     Been looking for a place to live for a few weeks now, found hot spots and met Devon McCoy who was probably the most helpful person when it came to knowing his information. He was able to pinpoint locations that were within my budget and preferences on what i was looking for. He went over so many spots and knew them from front to back layouts, costs, what was included, what wasn’t i mean i got the full package of information at no cost since they do work for the apartments. It was an amazing experience and he was so kind and helpful i was able to choose the apartment i wanted to live at and throw out all my other options because i was given all the answers i was looking for! Devon was honestly the highlight of my really stressful and hard week that i couldn’t be more satisfied with the work he put into finding me the perfect place to live.     If you go to Hot Spots ask for Devon McCoy. Ive had experiences with another apartment hunter before but none were ever as helpful and well informed as he was. Even with my very specific request and limitations he still helped me find more than one apartment option. I was looking for a 6-month lease which is extremely rare to find here in San Marcos but he showed me all my options and even negotiated with other apartments to try to get me one this was thanks to his great connection with the apartment complexes.

    So helpful! I tried researching the area myself and was getting frustrated trying to review properties and pet policies. I really needed a location dog friendly with walking paths. After talking with Devon, he promptly sent me a few listings. I chose the apartment he thought would fit my needs best after researching it myself. I appreciated him making notes of my needs and ensuring I was getting what I asked for.

    Devon hooked us up with a place within walking distance from campus at a great price! This was only a couple weeks before the semester started, and I thought there would be very few options, but he found us plenty of places to choose from. He called a lot of leasing offices, ones that had availability that we couldnt see online and never knew existed. He even took us to see most of the properties we were interested in. We tried another locating service previously, and they couldnt find most of the places that Devon showed us. Thank you Hot Spots!

He answers any and every question you have, responds to text (at all hours!) and will help you get information on apartments or houses that he doesnt even have listed!
