I moved here 2 years ago while I saved money for the purchase of my house. I absolutely love the location!The pool, grill and areas are very well maintained. I love the stainless steel appliances and the upgraded granite countertops. The washer and dryer sets make taking care of laundry very convenient.

I’ve had a great experience living here. The office team and the maintenance team have always been very nice to me and my family. If it wasn’t because we purchased a home, we wouldn’t be moving. Easy access to food, shopping, and parks. I would recommend living here. As a point of reference, I’ve lived here for three years. The amenity spaces and the community itself is always very clean.

I just renewed my contract and will likely renew again. The location is good close to my job. The price for my one bedroom is good, and my apartment is new. The maintenance team is great. Jose is always very nice and the other maintenance are too. At times the gates might not be working but they fix them fast. The office crew are nice they are always helpful. I would recommend.

Been leasing apartments for 3 years now. Just recently moved here and all I have to say is I love this place. I feel right at home when I’m here. I could not ask for a better apartment, along with great office staff. They are always there to help guide you along your leasing process. Mari and Mayra are absolutely the best tag team in the office. Those girls are so knowledgeable about everything and any questions you may have. Mayra gave me my tour and absolutely sold me on the unit. I can tell she really focuses on consultative selling…(finding out what I like and what my needs are for my home before giving a selling pitch). Overall 5 star place!

I moved to the gables about a year ago when I sold my house and needed some where to live while my house was being built. I have been spoiled by this community with all its amenities they have to offer and the location! We have enjoyed many new restaurants and experience living in the area. I will definitely miss this now that I have to move to my house!

We lived here for 3 years and it set the bar for apartment living. We decided to move to Houston to try a new city.The staff is Always available, helpful, professional, and friendly.Maintenance team. We didnt need maintenance often, but when we did, it was quick. One time our front door lock was having issues, and they came barely 1 hour after I put in the request, and it was fixed in 2 minutes. We would also see them around every day cleaning the grounds and keeping things tidy.

Mayra, a leasing agent at the community, is the absolute best! The facility is beautiful. Amenities are amazing and the staff is so friendly. Mayra showed me around and helped me throughout the whole process. She is very knowledge, funny, and kind. Gables is lucky to have her. The team jumped to action with service requests and will do anything to help the residents. A+ to the property manager running this location, you guys do it right!

Staff has been incredibly helpful my entire stay here. Management and maintenance are great and very responsive. The community stays relatively clean other than the occasional dog poop. Lots of places on property to grab a waste bag to clean up after your pets also. Parking isn’t very far from your apartment no matter what building you stay in. Some apartments don’t have emergency maintenance lines but there is one here. I’m thankful that it’s also relatively centrally located to most places throughout the city! Convenient, clean, and helpful community!

The apartment is incredibly well located for restaurants, shopping, bars and other entertainment. It is also close to the freeway so there is easy access to other areas of the city. The apartment maintenance crew does an amazing job of keeping the community looking beautiful and respond quickly to any work requests promptly. We will end up signing another lease here. We also LOVE the pool.

I am proud to be staying in a community which is environment friendly and does not only propagate the idea but also takes concrete steps towards making our surroundings more green and beautiful.The layout of the apartment is well planned and adds to the comfort of the residents. The white goods provided as part of the furnishing are also of good quality.Nonetheless the fittings, especially in the washrooms could have been better. Plastic fittings in a high end apartment is quite a showdown.The initial moving-in experience could be improved with a little guidance from the leasing office, especially for people like us who are coming from the other end of the world.In spite of the initial hiccups I am quite optimistic about my stay here amidst the green surroundings, well equipped common areas and helpful staff (special mention for Robert who addressed all my queries very patiently :)

The staff of Gables Metropolitan Uptown have been extremely kind and helpful throughout the entire process of selecting, applying for, and subsequently moving into my new home. And that’s exactly what it feels like here, my HOME. As a native Houstonian, with decades of apartment dwelling under my belt (commitment issues-lol), I must say this has been the easiest and most pleasant process I’ve experienced thus far. Carmen walked me through every step of the process, and the staff even had a beautiful bouquet of roses awaiting me in my new place, due to a loss I’ve recently suffered. Words can’t fully describe how much those details truly translate into a happy experience. Their amazing customer service is rivaled only by the lush beauty of the well-kept community grounds. From an amazing outdoor fireplace with cozy lounge seating, to the sparkling pool I’ll be dipping my toes into once Spring rolls around. The fitness center is well-equipped with modern machines, and an array of exercise equipment, for those opting to enjoy such a thing. Even the layout of the units lend them to feeling more home-like, than the cookie-cutter ‘compartments’, as I refer to them. My unit has been updated with beautiful gray paint, granite, and new appliances. I have a rather large patio for this size unit, as well as an amazing amount of storage within the unit. There are also a number of storage options available on property, which makes things so much easier-even if it’s a short-term need. If you have furry friends, you’ll appreciate the many doggy-stations located around the property. You’re never out of eyesight of a refuse receptacle, fully stocked with bags for those necessary situations. And trust when I say “the customer service doesn’t end when you sign the lease”. The staff do not take your time for granted, and they work to ensure every step of the process is as simple and positive as can be. Give yourself a break from the monotonous headache of the traditional apartment search, and just call or stop-by Gables Metropolitan Uptown for a refreshing approach to leasing in Houston.

It is a great place to live...except they did tow our car once for parking in a vacant parking space, which to date it is still not being used. They do not offer a second parking space even for a fee. When I asked who had towed our car they said it was not them but the towing company had their information and specified that the information on there is the person that towed. Thats the only thing that was not very nice about them. Our car was not bothering anyone and they towed it on a weekend when we were out of town for a family emergency. When I called to the office they said if it was them they would have left a note (which they were implying it was not them) and they did not leave that note. We paid over $300 for something so unnecessarily and the guy at the towing company did say it was them. Just to clear things up there is visitors parking in our floor and on our side of the building but they are occupied most of the time by the same vehicles that do not seem to move. So thats of course not fair. I Have expressed this to them and pretty much they say that there is not enough parking spaces for residents to have more than one even if we payed little extra for another space. I felt I had to share that bad experiences. So, if you have more than one vehicle and do not want it to be staying on the last floor of the parking garage which has not covering then you might want to think about it. Like I said there is visitors spaces on our side but theres very few maybe about 5 which are usually always taken but the same vehicles. That has been the only bad experiences Ive had with them but I do love this place it is very safe and very well taken care of and the maintenance crew is very quick and responding to any work order at the apartment which is great! The complex also offers valet trash pick up which is very nice for those that do not want walk a few feet and drop it off at the dumpster. The girls at the office are usually very nice and helpful and our apartment is remodeled so its very modern and up to date. The area and the apartments are very safe which I think is very important they also have a security guard on duty at nights. The only reason I rated it four starts was because of the towing issue. Other than that it is a great place to live.

Beautiful property and amazing renovated units, I just moved out of a classic floor plan and into a renovated unit, I could not be happier with my decision to stay another lease term. The Property Manager Shannon and leasing agent Erica are so kind and patient, they made this transition into the place very pleasant and easy for me. Happy to call this place home.

Lived in this complex for several years. The maintenance crews responds quickly and they are professional and kind, the premises are clean and the office staff is professional. If you live in the town homes near Rice, the cars will occasionally be noisy when they pass by. Occasionally noisy neighbors - this can be fixed by meeting with them and building a relationship, ask them to turn down noise. Centrally located and very nice atmosphere - highly recommended.

The Gables has treated my family very well. The staff is always nice and helpful. With our apartment you can hear the occasional loud person in the hallway, sometimes you can hear people outside in the bathroom, when youre in the bedroom you can hear the neighbors alarm clock going off if they set it as loud as possible and it was only occasionally, and as usual you can hear the loud music from cars and people racing down the street. All typical apartment noises I would say, and out of all the apartments Ive lived in this is the least noisy. The grounds are always kept very nice and never felt unsafe. The neighborhood is right next to everything you could possibly need. The maintenance staff always fixed the problem, our A/C unit would stop working about once a month in the warm months so I was sending in a lot of requests, and they always came promptly.

I have lived at this complex for six years, and Im moving out with a positive opinion, and Ill probably move back at some point!. Maintenance has always been incredible, the complex is usually pretty clean, and they do a good job of renovating regularly. Weak points are an odd layout for the south entryway and noise from Sage limiting the walkable area for my traffic-averse dog. I absolutely hated the built in aesthetic mirrors in my bathroom and living room and I wish I had them removed it when I moved in. Power/water/internet stayed on all through Harvey, though historically there are a lot of day long water outages for some reason.

When u enter the property it looks well groomed,beautiful and clean,just the facade,the corridors are filthy,the quality of people theyre bringing here is very questionable, my mailbox has been broken at least 6 times since i live here,roaches everywhere, no matter how clean u maintain your unit, i live in front of the pool and its hell,people go to the pool at 1 2 in the morning summer time even if theyre not supposed to, its complicated, i have requested another unit bc of the noise problem,i dont know how many managers weve had cos i lost it, office ppl are friendly, no complaints , hoping they can get me a unit where Ive requested otherwise i have to find a new place.

So far everything has gone great! From touring apartments to signing our lease. My roommate and I are very happy with choosing Gables Metropolitan Uptown as our home for the next 12 months. All leasing agents have been very nice and accommodating. Not to mention we love our apartment. Thanks to everyone who helped us with a smooth transition during this pandemic.

Been living here for 6 months and its been a great experience. Quiet, safe, close to the mall and few restaurants. I only wish i could have gotten an apartment overlooking the pool but that might have made it more louder. Overall i am extremely happy.

It is super well located in terms of the commercial area, good restaurants, the Mall, excellent location.
