Great apartment- clean and quiet in a perfect location in Uptown above the Whole Foods. Great management and concierge staff that are very helpful and warm/friendly. Not much turnover with staff here, which is saying something. Have lived here for more than six years and have very much enjoyed the community. Amenities are great too and relatively open to use.

Lived here for 14 months during a short stint in Dallas. Pamela and the Leasing Office Team were great in helping me move into a more permanent apartment when my temporary arrangement at Gables ended. Facilities are well maintained and always clean - nice quiet building in the heart of Uptown. Special shoutout to Sam, Larry and the rest of the concierge team, too, super friendly and always helpful. 5 stars.

This is easily the best apartment I’ve ever lived in! You could not get more value for your money anywhere else in Uptown (also walking distance to Harwood). Sam at the front desk is always so friendly and helpful and everyone in the leasing office will go the extra mile to help you! I’d give 10 stars if I could!

Excellent place to live! 10/10. It is hard to beat this location and this view of Uptown. The management, concierge and maintenance team are awesome. Everything is well taken care, especially the safety features (entrances, fob locks, garage doors, ect…). Lived here for two years and never had a single issue.

Lived at Gables McKinney for almost 3 years and loved it. Front office was great and the apartment building itself is really nice. Pool is never too packed. I can only speak for the 8th floor tenants, but I loved my neighbors while living there— everyone was kind and respectful of the fact that we all lived in shared spaces. Parking is easy; the elevators can be temperamental but no worse than any other apartment I’ve lived in. The 8th floor’s tall ceilings are really unbeatable, and so was living right above a Whole Foods! Realized that I was missing it today, so wanted to leave a review and say so.

Ive lived at GMA for multiple stretches beginning in 2018. Many of the same staff who were here then still work at GMA, which I think is a testament to how great a place it is to live and work. I feel comfortable here and the location in the center of Uptown is unmatched. Highly recommend!

Gables McKinney is an incredible spot to live! The hospitality team that works here is top notch, especially Sam and Larry. They’re always friendly and are a tremendous help. It’s within walking distance of plenty of outstanding restaurants and has some beautiful views of the city. The amenities are nice and reliable. The common spaces are lovely places to spend time when the weather cooperates, and the facilities team does a great job giving updates and keeping things nice. The residents are kind and courteous and very pet friendly. Would strongly recommend!

We had a rough start at Gables McKinney (renting a townhouse unit), however they fired the old GM and everything has turned around 180. Their office (Pam specifically) is very responsive and the door guys and maintenance team are excellent. The building is very nice and convenient with a Whole Foods located inside it. The gym and pool area are nice and it’s surprisingly not crowded.

Where do I start? Oh, with Pamela (Assistant Property Mgr.) Pamela is honestly the sunshine that keeps this building shining! (She should be Property Manager by now) Between her quirky humor, beautiful soul, and all around caring of Gables McKinney Ave and the residents that live there, Gables is so fortunate to have (as I say) Pamela Bamela! Next, Sam in concierge…Sam, you are such an amazing human being and idk how you do it, but you do it perfectly and you exude so much positivity just with your smile! (And still smile with dealing with my pain in the butt) Next, Larry (also in concierge) I echo my comments that I referenced with Sam. Next, Drey (I’m confident I spelled the name wrong) thank you for being so awesome and dressing like Rico Suave everyday to ensure GMA looks spicy and getting leases secured with all the beautiful staff. Next, Kanika in leasing…this pretty lady can sell me a wall clock that I don’t need. GMA is so fortunate to have this pretty fashionable lady be the face of leasing. Next, John (Maintenance Mgr.) thank you for being so awesome. I know your team had some temporary shortages, but that didn’t stop you from being the rockstar maintenance man! Next, Porter and cleaning staff…David and Aracelis, y’all just make me laugh and put a smile on my face every time I run into you guys (porque ustedes hablan espanol) Next, Nathan (Property Manager) GMA couldnt have received a better property manager and I’m sad it happened during the ending of my lease. GMA is so lucky to have you but you need to get promoted to Regional so Pam can be PM. Next, the residents…this is probably the best bunch of beautiful people that you could ever meet and fortunate to have them as your neighbor. My husband and I lived at Gables for a year and we loved it. Great amenities and the staff were very involved. They hosted parties, margarita nights, breakfast, etc. What really stuck out to us was that they knew each guest personally, especially Sam (concierge). Sam always had a great attitude and really made a positive impact on our time at Gables. We knew we could rely on Sam to get things done.

Andre & his concierge team are EXCEPTIONAL & are always looking out for the residents and make sure that all resident operations go as smoothly as possible! This is the 3rd unit I’ve leased at Gables McKinney Ave. I started in a studio, then a one bedroom and now I live in the townhomes with my family. Sam has been my favorite concierge since l met him in 2016. He’s one of the main reasons I keep coming back to this building. Great location, great amenities, great building all around!

Sam the concierge makes every tenant and guest feel important — from small interactions to complicated needs. He is masterclass and elevates the Post McKinney Ave experience.Kudos also to Larry and Kanika who took extra efforts to ensure my event in the clubroom went well. Larry even went above and beyond to troubleshoot some tech in the room the day before. I appreciate their extra efforts to make sure the day was a solid success.

We moved into Gables McKinney within the last few months. It was a seamless experience. Kanika was very helpful in answering our questions and getting all the paperwork started once we had made our decision. The apartment was clean and ready for move in on our requested move in day. The concierge was very helpful during the move in process and helping us locate packages we had shipped. Overall, this is a great apartment complex and the staff have been very accommodating and responsive.

I actually dont live here - I came in for a tour yesterday and unfortunately as much as I loved it there is no availability coming up which speaks highly of the community for not wanting to leave. I did want to point out however that the woman in the office who did my tour was absolutely fabulous and made it my best tour to date. I currently live in West Village and have toured countless places and none of them come even remotely close to the pool and terrace or office space offered here. You cant find a better location anywhere either. Management can make or break your residential experience and I felt it necessary to note that she (Im kicking myself for not writing her name down) you can tell goes above and beyond for her community!

Love living here! This is truly resort living at its finest in Uptown Dallas. Pamela and her team handle all tenant requests/issues promptly & professionally. The property’s amenities, like the pool area and dog run, are cleaned and reset every morning for fresh use. Nothing ever seems to be out of place. It’s not cheap but you really get what you pay here, which is pretty rare in my experience. Looking forward to living here for a long time. I would personally like to thank Kanika Gurley at Gables McKinney. Her attention to detail in helping our daughter navigate a cross country relocation exceeded all of our expectations. She brings a combination of professionalism and empathy that is becoming so rare to find these days. Any move and especially one coming from out of town to a new city will be complicated. Kanika was steadfast in making sure anything she could do to reduce any anxiety was identified and resolved. Many times she stressed the team at Gables McKinney and to date we have seen them in action. I would also like to thank the other teammates that have assisted us as well. Im not sure where to begin with my positive experience. I just moved to Dallas from NYC and lets say a cross country move will really test what youre made of. Fortunately, while I was apartment hunting from a distance. Stephanie Carter took great care of me and choosing Gables McKinney was probably THE EASIEST part of the entire move. From providing me with pictures and videos, the application process and all of my questions in between, Stephanie made sure I felt good about this decision. Most of the other residents here all say good morning and ask how your day is going when you pass each-other in the hallway which is nice coming from NYC. Also, the apartments are solid and hallways are quiet. I cant hear a thing from any one elses unit. Building is well kept, even the parking garage. I havent used the concierge door much but I will say while I was waiting for furniture to be delivered Dianne at the desk and I had a great conversation and she was super friendly too. They also welcome you with a bottle of wine and cleaning supplies. I dont plan on leaving for a while. Thanks Gables & Stephanie!

Very nice building, lovely staff. Our apartment is laid out so well it feels quite large. So far our requests for service have been prompt and spot on. We are at the end of the hall and never hear our neighbors.We sold our huge home and downsized, and yet Im finding places for storage! Love there is a Bark Park. We wish everyone would respect the area and clean up, but that is a work in progress.A favorite is our wrap around windows and glass balcony, A lovely view. No mosquitos!Coffee shops, restaurants, Whole Foods, and the Trolley. Its great.

Gables McKinney Ave is beautiful and has an incredible management team. I hosted a work event and reserved their 2nd floor amenities (large kitchen and dining/conference room) and the whole evening was executed beautifully. This was a direct result of the exceptional communication and assistance from the management team. The concierge, Sam, was a true delight. I would put him in the category of “intuitive hospitality”, he did not just check the boxes of his job but he went above and beyond to ensure he served us well. I was so thankful to utilize such a beautiful space and be treated well in the process.

We are moving after having lived here for four years (since it opened), and Im very sad to leave. We have been extremely pleased with the management and staff. Everyone from maintenance to the office staff to our fabulous concierges have been truly a pleasure. They keep the building clean, safe, and well-maintained, and any issue weve had has been addressed quickly. There were a few times where we messed up and did something that was not permitted by our lease, and they always handled it really graciously and gave us the chance to fix it or give just a warning rather than just fine us. The other tenants in the building are great, weve never had issues with noise or people being disrespectful. The fixtures in the units are very high end and high quality, we didnt have problems with things breaking other than normal wear and tear. The location is great - having Whole Foods downstairs is really convenient and theres plenty of shopping and dining in the area. Its surprisingly quiet in the units even though this is a really noisy neighborhood - we never had an issue with street noise. Its also convenient that they have a Guild AirBNB-style unit that can be rented out. When our family came to visit us from out of state, we would rent that out for them so they could stay in the same building (and much cheaper than nearby hotels).The only cons I have are nitpicky. The EV chargers are frequently broken - not really their fault because they are maintained by a different company, but I do wish the building was more on top of getting them repaired when needed. Also you have to pay a hefty fee to get to use the cabanas at the pool. The pool also doesnt get much sun since its surrounded on three sides - really only about 3-4 hours in the middle of the day when the sun is directly overhead. There is a place you can tan on the roof but its next to the dog bathroom area.I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to move in the area. I would for sure live here again. I have a few other friends who have lived here and they all really loved it, too. I recommend the units with the large balconies - great views and theres a nice cross-breeze so its comfortable to sit out most of the year. We were in one of the X08s (408, 508, 608, etc) and the view is crazy good. Ill miss sitting outside watching those Uptown sunsets!

Been a resident for 6 months now and find it to be a great, clean & modern building with a very helpful staff. Very central & convenient location (can’t best living above a Whole Foods), walking distance to many great restaurants and bars, and close to all the major roadways to get around Dallas. Pam from the rental office has been one of my main points of contact and she is extremely helpful and tries her best for you to feel settled in. She definitely has made my time here very enjoyable. Definitely recommend the building and its units.

We signed a short term lease and moved in. Easy walking distance to all of our favorite eateries and bars. We can grocery shop downstairs, enjoy the pool, and we have met several great neighbors. We ended up celebrating Thanksgiving in the commons area with about 30 other people. This place is truly a great place to call home the staff here is prompt from the leasing office, the maintance crew, the concierge and even the sweet employees who work hard every day to clean the property. We have never experienced a noise problem even being right close to all of the uptown bars. We have recently decided to sign a longer lease term. We ❤️ It here!

I have to say that residents here get their moneys worth. Last weekend, I visited a friend and I could not get over how nice their lobby/facilities were. Her room was so beautiful (the walls, the counters, utilities, the bedroom space) and most importantly she had an amazing view of Uptown. the balcony was cute-sized, enough for a person to have a good amount of space and down time. MOST IMPORTANTLY --> Devin was fantastic! As a visitor, he truly accommodated to my needs and when I could not find my car, this man literally helped me look for it on every floor! We had great conversation all throughout, which was unexpected at 2 in the morning. His endless positivity and ambition was something I immediately recognized - its very clear that he loves what he does and enjoys helping people. For anyone who visits or would like to live here on McKinney, trust me when I say youre in good hands!

Been living here for over 2 years and absolutely love it. The staff is always so friendly! It is walking distance to games at the AAC and a ton of food options all around. The complex is well kept up and they even have the carpeted hallways steam cleaned every 1-2 weeks for a fresh smell. Love it here!

Jinsyn deserves a raise!!! As a realtor, I had a client who needed to see an apartment same day. Jinsyn showed me the entire community on a minutes notice, then arranged for concierge to give me fob so I could give another tour later in the evening to clients. She even prepared a detailed packet so that the showing would go flawlessly, which it did. This was all arranged same day in less than an hour. She is professional, organized, pleasant, and so easy to talk to! Her talent should not go unnoticed and management, in my opinion, should do everything in their power to keep her around, including giving her a raise!! She is a gem!!
