    The staff at this property is very nice and helpful Jessica and the girls at the office are always very friendly. The maintenance guy Carlos Serrano simply surprised me, he fixed many things in my apartment in the blink of an eye. For the price it is definitely a very good property.

    Staff are amazing. Will help where help is needed. Honestly no complaints. Jessica C made us feel like we were already at our new home during our tour. The pool is amazing!! Complex is very clean! Animals welcome for all you furbaby owners. New pavement was added. Its handsdown one of the best apartments.100% Recommend.

    Recently moved in to these apts. I love it! The price, the apt, everything! The leasing agent, Jessica, was so nice thru my process. Before moving in she walked me thru my apt and let me know if I had any concern she would take care of it ASAP. Everyone in the office was super nice as well. So far Im satisfied w my apt. 🙂

    Everyone may have a different experience but coming from Chicago this place is incredible its right next to downtown clean quite lots of parking everyone seems to mind their business there is no groups of people hanging around outside my apartment is around people my age 35 its an incredible price for being so close to the city only problem is as a truck driver its hard to find a local day shift position in Houston right now

    Well maintained property with excellent management and amazing pricing in The Galleria area. I was impressed by the tropical landscaping throughout the property that includes 20 courtyards and 3 resort style pools. The management company is very responsive and friendly. I highly recommend this property!

    I have had the pleasure of residing at this community for 23 years. The owners (Finger Properties and now Greystar) do their level best to keep the grounds finely manicured. The location, in combination with the competitive rates, make it an attractive option. During my tenure, I have seen many office staff changes. However, each and every one of them are nothing shy of professional, courteous and helpful. The maintenance staff also does their best to respond within 24 hours to any and all issues.While the property is going through some external upgrades, which takes time to complete, the management does a great job by providing frequent progress updates so as to properly manage expectations.To this writer, it is the quality and diligence of the leasing office staff that serves to retain me as a resident above all else. Never have they not tried to be of assistance when called upon. This is hard to put a price tag on.

    I love living here definitely got good neighbors and great management. They are god sent with the way they handle everything so efficiently and effectively. I especially took a liking to Jessica,she handled any issues I had when moving into my place and she got me in my place quick,fast,and in a hurry.     I normally don’t leave reviews but I had to this time. Most people leave negative reviews but I want to give some positive feedback on the new manager team. I was skeptical at first because I’ve had experiences when management changes and things go to the crapper but this is the polar opposite. This new team is awesome, my on going maintenance issues have all been taking care of and I see them making some positive changes. Also they are super friendly in the office.

    Update #2: since my last update, the upstairs neighbors have moved out and I decided to reach out to the leasing office about moving into their unit, to avoid a potentially disgruntle neighbor. We are completely moved into the unit, which was an easy move. On our last move-in day, there was a complex wide electricity outage and long story short, I ended up losing nearly $2,000 worth of food and insulin medication. It was absolutely devastating and the insurance that one of their leasing agents had recommended, did not cover mechanical failures so our claim went null. After some unnecessary back and forth with someone from leasing about extending my deadline to move, I was finally given extra days to move. Things have been up and down since moving into this last unit. Ive asked for maintenance and they will sign it off as completed when they never came. Children are damaging the trees and causing chaos and theres zero order, and most importantly, people at our building park in a way the occupies 2 spaces, theres no consideration and there are now numbered spaces, but no word on assignment.Update: After I posted this review, the complex offered me to move to a third floor apartment. The problem was is that they would not comp my moving expenses, which defeat the purpose of me having moved in just months ago. Because of their refusal, before I consulted my lawyer I decided to speak with my neighbors upstairs directly, and try to have a cordial conversation. To my surprise they were more than willing to help alleviate the nuisance. They were not only very kind and courteous but they also gave me their phone number and created a group chat so that myself and both of them could communicate with me when the noise becomes too much, and find ways to help fix it. Since then I have texted them a few times letting them know that I cant sleep because of the noise and they promptly stop it. My living situation has improved exponentially and I now can say I have the ability to sleep throughout the night. I did not communicate this development to Creole on Yorktown but they have been more than accommodating with some other minor issues that I had, that they immediately gave solutions to. The complex itself has very good management and they do their best, but when you are sleep deprived sometimes your best isnt good enough. I can now say that I am happy and peaceful living here. I wish they could have taken this approach from the get-go, I try not to be a confrontational person but Im glad that this was the outcome.***Moving here was a huge mistake. I have a family living above my unit, and they cause loud, unnecessary noise, almost every single night. Right above my master bedroom. The noise includes stomping, dragging furniture, running, and loud yelling. Its as if they are moving furniture, and rearranging the entire apartment, every single night. Last night was the worst, and I cant take it anymore. I woke up in the middle of the night and had a PTSD attack. I am literally exhausted, I slept 2 hours last night. I havent slept a full 8 hours in months. Ive complained to the office, I have given them audio evidence of their noise, they have sent them a lease violation, spoken to them, and these people dont care. They continue to disturb my peace. I already told the complex Im going to seek legal advice if this doesnt stop in a number of days. I am making it publicly known that I am enduring this violation of my renters rights for Quiet Enjoyment because I dont want other people to go through what Im going through. I thought this was a good area. I thought this was a quality complex. I was severely wrong. I write this at 6:48 after waking up for the final time because my mind cant sleep.

    I love this quirky little complex so much! It’s very dog friendly, plenty of greenery, morning walks feel dreamy and it’s honestly my favorite part of the day. Neighbors are friendly and very considerate. Love the valet trash. Pretty quiet, spread out, really no complaints!The leasing team has great communication as well. I had a small issue and felt I was being ignored. When I expressed my frustration they were quick to apologize and explain it was a staffing issue. Very grateful for communication!They’re probably the nicest I’ve ever had living in an apartment!I won’t be renewing as I’m getting married and the location doesn’t work for my soon to be husband but if it was, we would stay here for sure!

    Ive loved my time here. The management is great. Jessica and Zack are so attentive whenever you go to the front office. very comfortable and modest living. You will absolutely love the plants and trees on the property. The only downside is that it looks a bit outdated. If you dont mind that, you will have a very comfortable lifestyle here! The maintenance team is TOP NOTCH. I kinda dont wanna leave because I dont know if Ill find another team like this lol

    I absolutely love the Creole. I am not sure I and the other reviewers are living at the same place.The complex has a large and gorgeous outdoors area between all apartments. The landscaping is second to none and it is take care of consistently. It features three good-sized pools, a decent gym which is never full, covered parking, and excellent maintenance staff.Sure, the apartments are older. There is nothing to escape that truth. However, because they are older they were built with quality and livability in mind. There are tons of green areas, places to walk your pet(s), ample parking, and no feeling of living on top of one another.It is a gated community with security all night. Sure, break-ins happen every now and then, but the only reason we hear about it is because the staff at the Creole care enough to e-mail us at every occurrence. For the Galleria are, you will NOT find a more affordable and gorgeous deal.

    **Experience from application process till move in**App process was smooth no hassle took about 3 business days for approval.. staff was friendly.. place toured wasn’t unit or floor plan was planned to move in but it was nice I like it was mores than enough for me to move forward. Come day supposed to move came tour but it wasn’t ready still and no one called and informed would not be moving in that day paid for movers and had things already in truck to upload so wasted money having to put things back in a storage i finally get to see it and it was so dissatisfying nothing like unit toured. So I initially moved into the unit originally toured. Jessica was great with that transition of me getting into the unit. Overall it’s been okay parking is a little crazy at night and construction during day right now but it’s to fix the parking so it’ll eventually be a plus

    Just moved out after 10 years at the Creole. In all those years, I never really had any problems. The office staff is friendly and professional. Maintenance crew is timely and do good work. The grounds are well maintained and welcoming. The location is great. You have plenty of grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping within walking distance and quick & easy access to almost all major highways. 10/10 would recommend. Talk to Larry, hell help you out.

    Good apartment. Well landscaped, office staff are quick to fix any issues. I am not sure what the complaints are about? I saw two roaches but never an infestation. It is a tropical climate similar to Hong Kong or Shanghai. A reviewer mentioned possums, I saw a ton of possums in Florida and other areas but never here. Not yet! It is older but has a charm to it. Every nationality is well represented in the complex which is like its own little town. This is a really nice place, they also do a solid background check on potential residence all across the board.

    The Creole was such a great place to live! I was a resident for 12 months and seriously love the area, neighborhood, being so close to SO many things in Houston at such a reasonable price. Yes, its an older complex - but honestly, it has so much character. From so much space inside each unit to even a patio to enjoy the outdoors, its hard to beat. If I had to say one downside it would be not having a washer and dryer in your apartment, but honestly, its worth the price. The staff is nice, maintenance comes quick if you need anything fixed, and its a quiet spot with nice neighbors. Highly recommend!

    Ive been here about 2 months now. So far I have very minimal complaints and far more praises!! Ive attended 2 community events put on by management and both exceeded my expectations. I have needed maintenance a couple of tines and they were prompt, curteous and efficient each time.Brittany in the front office is very personable. She has great follow through and remembers who you are!! This is a 600+ property so that means a lot.Ive heard various opinions of Luis and Ive only experienced positive interactions to date.On the whole, I like where i live. I feel safe and appreciate the pride the staff has of their workplace. I would definitely recommend to others.

    Centrally located with exceptional staff. Lots of floor plans to choose from and great price for the area. I moved in October 1, 2015. I feel very safe and comfortable. Landscaping around the property is beautiful! Maintenance is top notch, grounds are always very clean... I made a good decision!!

    My daughter just moved into The Creole on Yorktown and she couldn’t be happier. We visited a ton of apartment complexes in the Houston area trying to find the best quality for a rent my daughter and her fiancé could afford. The Creole is centrally located (just over ½ mile from The Galleria). The property is older but its age also means the apartments are large (not the ‘doll house’ units found in some newer complexes) with lots of closets for storage. And Danielle Mendoza, her leasing agent, has been awesome!! Seriously awesome. Danielle gave us a great tour of the property with lots of information; not just “it has 3 pools and a fitness center”—which it does!—but also info about day-to-day living. Even better: she listened!! And Danielle kept giving great customer service even after the paperwork was signed. The icing on the cake: the manager made a point of meeting my daughter before move-in and then ‘welcoming her home’ on the day of the move. Love it!

    Just moved in a month ago and so far I love it! Maintenance is very quick as soon as I put in a work order. The grounds are beautiful and close to everything. Like any other apartment complex including the high priced luxury ones, its impossible to avoid theft. It happens anywhere. Overall very quiet and peaceful and the staff has been great and helpful especially Danielle. Would recommend for the price, location and the rooms are very spacious!

    This is an older place, but I lived here for five years and enjoyed it. Also they have a really great staff, and were always extremely fast with my maintenance requests. On Sunday night before Labor Day this year, I called about a broken AC at 10pm, and they had it fixed before midnight. Very impressed. The only thing I didnt like was the washers/dryers are in a separate building, not inside your unit. Other than that, no complaints and I had a great experience here.

    My experience in The Creole was excellent since day one. Brenda the appartment manager was above and beyond expectations. She helped me during the whole moving process . She answered all of my emails immediately. The Staff in the leasing office are amazing. (all of them) They answer your questions and solve your problem very quick.There is constant maintenance and upkeep in the building to keep it looking beautiful! Most importantly, they get things done extremely fast when there is an issue. This is not a crazy, loud post college frat building like so many properties in the area are. The gates makes it very safe! Fully recommended.

Great Galleria location. The parking looks well organized and you get a parking space for your apartment.

    I lived here for over 7 years, and its probably the BEST apartment Ive ever lived in. Diane, the manager, runs a tight ship. The grounds are always clean, the landscaping perfect, and she actually listens when you want to offer feedback on how to make things better. Maintenance is always done pretty quick for minor things, but even on major things its done fairly fast. The only rough patch we had was when we figured out the lining in the ducts was aggravating allergies for my girlfriend. It was bad. BUT... Diane addressed it by having her team remove the old fiberglass lining in the ducts, as far as they could reach. I mean, short of removing the ceiling and the ducts completely, they really tried to do what they could. This is why we stick around. No apartment is EVER perfect, but its the amount of EFFORT a place puts into making you a happy tenant that matters. The staff at The Creole dont just become your landlords, they become your friends, really. From Diane, to Larry, to Brenda and the whole maintenance team, I cant say enough good things.

    I have lived at The Creole for the past year and a half, and I have to say that its been an awesome experience. You wont find another complex as affordable and accommodating as this one. Yes, its an older complex, but they work hard to keep it up because of this. The maintenance staff is awesome about quickly and effectively taking care of service requests. Ive seen a lot of people writing reviews of the maintenance staff stealing from them, but I have never personally experienced this. I have looked many times at other apartment complexes to see if I can find something more updated close to this price, and that just doesnt exist in Houston. My one complaint is not having a washer and dryer in the unit, but getting more exercise and actually meeting your neighbors because you have to take your clothes to the laundromat really isnt the worst thing. Overall, I am very happy living here, and I dont think I will be leaving this complex as long as Im looking to rent in Houston.

    I dont even know where to begin writing this review for The Creole on Yorktown. Ive lived here for a year and Im transferring to a larger unit with my fiance in the same complex because weve fallen in love with The Creole. It is now part of our story together.My fiance and I visited several different complexes before coming here and just when I was about to give up on finding an apartment, Danielle picked up the phone (even though they were almost closing) and accepted my late request for a tour. We drove here, met with Danielle and as she listened to our wants/ needs, I knew we were in good hands. Its beautiful (and rare) finding someone genuine like this when shopping in general.Danielle didnt have to tell me how beautiful the apartments are. We have eyes and could see that for ourselves! The apartment complex has 24-hour maintenance, valet trash, and some of the friendliest/ most caring employees I have ever met. Shout-out to Danielle, William, Larry, Kelsey, Becky, Jennifer, and night-time security!Our fur baby enjoys strolling through The Creole and making new friends. There are plenty of parks nearby, and The Creole is a big enough apartment complex that will zone you in different addresses. So if you like walking, this is your place! Throughout the complex, there are waste stations to pick-up after our fur babes that are very useful.This review is becoming a long one... to wrap-it-up, great staff, charming apartments, friendly neighbors, a delicious location (recommend Zabbaks, Old Saigon, Vietnam Coast for lunch), and most of all, ideal for your move to the city. xoxo -A

    Great community, Brenda and the staff are amazing and always helpful. Grounds are well kept and it is usually very quiet. The management and maintenance are fast and very kind. The location is great and rates are competitive for the area.Parking has never been an issue . Any small issues or repairs are handled by maintenance generally the same day.

    I have lived at Creole on Yorktown since 4/1/18. The office staff has always been courteous and helpful. The grounds are beautiful.Their maintenance staff is very helpful, courteous and timely especially Rene, Alvaro and Roque! They have resolved several small and large problems for me on a timely basis. Yesterday is only one example. My deadbolt lock was stuck and the lock itself just kept spinning without opening. I was locked inside my apartment! I had to be at work by 7:00. This happened about 6:45. I was able to contact the after hours answering service. Rene of the maintenance staff returned my call immediately. Rene was an hour away and he realized the urgency of my situation. He, therefore, called another maintenance staff member, Roque, who was not on call. However, Roque was able to get here by 7:30 a.m. He had to climb over the patio fence and come through the patio door to get into my apartment. He subsequently determined that I needed a new deadbolt and was able to finish everything by 8:00 am. The lock works perfectly! I was at work by 8:10 a.m. So thanks to excellent service from my maintenance staff. I love living here!

    Pros - Great price for the area. Amazing referral bonus. CVS, Randalls, great restaurants, hand car wash, bank - all a stones throw away. In the heart of the city, 5 minutes to 610 and most interstates. MWF Trash pick up, Covered parking. free carpet shampooing every quarter, kitchen counter retouch. very responsive maintenance team. The beautiful landscaping, trees and the very green surrounding is a pro for nature lovers. Very old but very spacious and well maintained apartments.Cons - Leasing / Sub leasing / early termination policy is very bad. No in-unit washer, dryers - but hey cant really expect more for the great price. very tiny kitchen in most plans. no patio storage. open patio with stairs in most plans makes you feel less secure. The very dense and green environment is a pain if you do not appreciate living in an amazon forest. a lot of lizards out during summer. driving on Yorktown is the worst thing ever - road is super bad.not sure about the pet policy !overall, really like this place but feel it is high time they do some remodeling.

    My roommate and I have lived at this location for 11 months now, and Ive enjoyed the area and the atmosphere. Management is very accommodating and friendly; my experience with them has never been shy of superb. In reference to previous posts. Yes there had been some vehicle break ins and vandalism, but property management made the community aware of what was going on, took action, held community awareness meetings, and sent out awareness flyers. Two or three incidences should not reflect poorly on the propertys safety. Where in Houston can you go, where there is no crimes such as the afore mentioned? Ive lived at a complex where vandalism and theft were a monthly issue, so to me Creole on Yorktown is safe. The complex is a bit old, but the landscape and tranquil atmosphere, in my opinion, makes up for it. I will be renewing my lease for another 12 months.

    When I walked into the Creole I was greeted by Danielle Mendoza, she iswilling to go all the way to show you what you are looking far. And listens to what you have to say. Very pleasant and well informed. She will make a very good leasing agent! The over all office is a pleasure to walk into, With Larry and Sonia greeting you also, It a pleasure living here.

    *I left this review on Yelp as well, copied and pasted here for visibility*I normally dont have the time or the motivation to leave reviews, but I felt compelled to after the amount of help I received from one of the sales associates, Ericka. I work in the Galleria and previously shared a larger apartment with a roommate whom had to move (very) abruptly for work. We broke the contract and I needed to find another place close by, and I needed to find it ASAP. After looking at a handful of other apartment complexes and spending way too much time dealing with unhelpful leasing agents, I found The Creole... thankfully.The agents at the the complexes I viewed prior to this seemed to be unhelpful, at best, and much to my dismay, all left me with a common feeling that they were unwilling to help me or go out of their way in any fashion to see if it was even possible for me to get an apartment in time... As soon as I gave my move-in date, their interest in helping me completely disappeared! I will say that they were very skilled in finding reason after reason why there was nothing for me there...Contrary to the previous experiences I had, Ericka was immeasurably more helpful... She immediately understood my situation and said she would help me find something, whether it was at The Creole or not. She did not hesitate to go out of her way for me, and she even helped me fill out and submit the applications and other forms when I did not have access to the internet. The second time we spoke, she already had a contract lined out for me with a floorplan I liked, within my price range, and apparently pulled all the strings she could to meet my move-in date. My stress levels returned from maximum to really high (normal for me) and the rest of the process was a breeze. I was able to move-in to a great apartment at a great price, in a great area, with a lot of much needed help along the way. I cant explain my appreciation enough.Thank you Ericka!

    I rented my first Houston apartment there and had no major issues. The building itself is probably about 40+ years old but it is very well maintained. Among some 30-40 apartment complexes Ive seen in Houston, The Creole has the best-maintained grounds. And you cant beat the location.

    Ive been living here since december 2017. Mary Maldonado has been great anytime i have an issue she or someone else respond quickly. There were a series of breakins but the apartment has upped security a lot. I havent heard of any more security issues. I appreciate the security guards being very visible. my only suggestion would be to add a call box on both entrances. I will probably continue living here after December if they have an open floor plan. There are so many to choose from all spacious and there are 3 pools!!

    I have lived at the creole for three years. my apartment is a single located near the office. the grounds around my apartment art stunning and well kept. the exterior and interior of the building is in excellent condition for the age of the property. my rent is appropriate for the size age and condition of the apartment. over the last three years management has done most everything Ive asked to make my stay pleasant. nothing is perfect and Ive also had my challenges, but that is to be expected. id rate the creole a 4 overall

    I love the location of the property everything either in walking distance or driving distance, I love that my kids have made friends with the neighbors kids and that we can go outside without being scared.
