The amenities are top-notch. The pool area is beautiful and the gym is well-equipped and clean. Everything about this place feels like home and I look forward to leasing here once I am able to move!

The inclusion of a mudroom and coat rack further accentuated the attention to practicality and organization.During my tour, I was assisted by Brittany, who exhibited exceptional honesty and transparency. Although she admitted to being new to the location, she personalized the experience, making me feel valued and understood. Her genuine approach added a refreshing touch to the overall tour.Alexan River Oaks boasts a wide range of amenities, catering to different lifestyles and needs. From recreational facilities to communal spaces, theres something for everyone. Additionally, the propertys prime location adds another layer of appeal, offering convenience and accessibility.However, I did encounter a minor setback during my visit. The noticeable smell in the hallways detracted slightly from an otherwise positive impression. Although it did not overshadow the overall experience, its an aspect that could be improved upon.Overall, Alexan River Oaks offers a compelling package for prospective residents with its attention to detail, personalized service, and abundant amenities. Despite the minor flaw, the property remains a strong contender in the apartment search journey.Its worth noting that during my visit, only leasing agents were on site, which is a common setup. However, it did pose a potential challenge as both agents were occupied in upon my arrival. The frustration of attempting to reach someone via phone and not receiving a response is imaginable.Furthermore, one of the leasing agents initially exhibited a somewhat off-putting demeanor. He failed to greet or acknowledge me upon entry, and his initial approach felt rude and dismissive. However, to his credit, he eventually assisted me towards the conclusion of my tour. Although this interaction did not overshadow the overall experience, it did leave room for improvement in terms of customer service.

Living here has been an amazing experience! From the moment I toured the property, I knew this was home. The apartments are stunning with modern finishes, high ceilings, and plenty of natural light. My favorite part is the pool area. Perfect for relaxing on the weekends and the fitness center, which has everything I need to skip the gym membership. The location is ideal, with so many great restaurants and shops nearby, and I love how easy it is to get around Houston. The team here truly makes the difference; they’re always friendly and go out of their way to make sure residents are happy. I can’t imagine living anywhere else!

It’s right in the heart of River Oaks, so you’re just a short walk away from high-end shopping, famous museums, and some of the best restaurants in Houston. My experience with Jennifer has been fantastic; her efforts sealed the deal, and I smoothly relocated to Houston. Now, Im reveling in the beauty of Alexan River Oaks apartments. Ronald has also been a pleasure to work with; both Jennifer and Ronald have made my stay exceptionally comfortable. Together, they are incredibly attentive, responsive, and approachable, always ready to address any questions or concerns. Overall, the staff here has exceeded my expectations, making this place a perfect fit for me.The amenities are top-notch, which is crucial since I work from home. However, while the apartment itself is consistently clean, Ive noticed occasional odors in the hallways that could use some improvement.

Management has always gone above and beyond when it comes to customer service, and have been punctual when it comes to repairs needed at my apartment. We moved in July/23.Jennifer was incredible right from the visit, showing the apartments and everything the community has; application, in which she answered all the doubts since we are foreigners and it is our first lease here; and with the moving, clearing all doubts and supporting.In addition to her, Ronald, all the concierges and staff are always willing to help!The building is well maintained, with cleaning including in the grill every day of the week.The apartment is modern and there are nice floor plans. It is silent, beautiful and has a good finish.The location is excellent.Garage has plenty of space, with several elevators.The amenities are great. The gym is good and spacious. The only downside is that for some reason it doesnt have any leg specific equipments.The building organizes events periodically, which is really cool for socializing.Overall, our experience has been very good and I would recommend this community to everyone!

Moved in December 2022, and lived here for 15 months:Pros:-The apartment itself is pretty-Nice amenities & location-The property is very safe we had no issues with car theft, I always felt safe here-In-building security is great-The walls are thick, the only thing that bothered me was I had a neighbor whose dog barked frequently and loudly but I rarely ever heard people’s conversations or plumbing-Never had issues with water or electricity going out without notice (did happen w/ water at least three times with forewarning)-Maintenance for in-apartment problems is usually timely-Love the butterfly system for guests and food deliveryCons:-Additional fees for various required services and amenities add up significantly-Extremely high noise levels around the pool area Thursday-Sunday ALL day long in the warmer seasons. Work from home nightmare. Multiple people blasting speakers. People have huge parties & they do not care about noise complaints. They issue pool wristbands but they don’t actually enforce that at all, if they ever have a pool guard on busy days it’s just to manage people using glass or smoking-Frequent noise from overly sensitive fire alarms at all hours across the building-Persistent roach infestation throughout the entire building (units & hallways). It is much worse in the warmer months and we haven’t noticed as many since winter (but any amount of roaches is disgusting, especially for the price of rent)-The package room lacks lockers, leading to disorganization and frequent package theft, with a complete lack of resolution by management. I had 5+ packages stolen and they never even bothered to follow up about it. Don’t recommend getting anything valuable/super expensive shipped hereTLDR: Overall, you’ll probably never find a perfect apartment in Houston, but this one is pretty nice. It’s safe and the units are pretty. There’s a good level of privacy. If you work from home don’t get a unit facing the pool. Just a bit of an issue with roaches and package theft.

Waiting to see. Hopeful.05/01/2023:The staff turnover rate has negatively affected the experience this property used to give. The issues are fixable!Although it’s not very enticing to pay for what used to be.06/11/2023:We seem to get more communication announcing services are no longer available or limited than anything.06/24/2023:This property is marketed as a luxurious residential city escape, so I expect such especially since the price reflects that.The amenity fee mirrors frivolous spending because I often wonder what results merit the price. The overall upkeep & functionality of “amenities” have declined.There was once organization in the package rooms & every delivery was logged into a system, that service is no longer.01/29/2024:Personally, haven’t had any safety concerns.Concierge is more of a “doorman service”.Which isn’t horrible. Service hours should start earlier.06/08/2024:Sometimes it appears that cleaning is only relegated to “high traffic areas” leaving the unit areas is unaddressed.Silverfish are a nuisance.Although staff is always helpful, having to schedule printing around business hours is counterproductive.12/2024:The staff turnover rate hasn’t yet peaked. Looking forward to the progressive changes the new PM will introduce to the community.

Great place to live with awesome amenities, but most importantly it’s safe (which is rare in Houston).Cameras everywhere including all access points, elevators, and even inner hallways. There’s overnight third party security and at least one off duty police officer that patrols randomly and responds to emergencies. There are also detectives/deputies that live here. One of them mentioned that Weslayan/Alabama is a high traffic beat area

Amazing property and amazing staff. I will always recommend this complex. I have lived at 4 complexes in the area but this has been an entirely different experience. Maintenance is on their game and are very responsive. Leasing agents and admin made me feel comfortable from start to finish. Mark Anthony was perhaps the highlight of the experience.

Stayed here for a year, very good location, everything is close by. Apartments are really nice. Only thing Id say was a bit annoying was the concierge, doordash/uber would deliver to them and then the concierge would bring it up to us. at first they used to bring food orders to my door, but eventually they reduced it and we would have to go down ourselves which was quite annoying. Gym is a bit small and amenities are pretty standard. I would stay here again if I had the opportunity, defo recommend!

Been here for 3 months now and I love it finally, wanted to wait for my review and honestly the process was long to get in. The wait was worth it the Alexan River Oaks team has made my stay here easy. The facilities here are well kept. They have a huge dog park my dog loves to play in. A lot of the reviews I read on here kinda worried me but once I came here and went through the process of applying I understood why people left those kind of reviews of waiting awhile to get in and it was 100% worth it. I have recommended them to a lot of my friends and they love it here.

I don’t understand why anyone would leave bad reviews for Alexan. Ever since I moved in here earlier this year it has been like living in a resort. The maintenance staff are incredibly nice, and Christine the Property Manager assisted with my leasing, and has been helpful with anything I need. If you are looking to move into Houston and appreciate quality amenities, good neighbors, and an excellent community, Alexan is for you. The mgmt. does an excellent job of vetting it’s resident and that’s why crime is not a huge problem here despite being in City where many other apt. complexes are plagued by crime.

No place like The Alexan River Oaks! Walking into The Alexan you feel right at home. The staff is very welcoming, helpful and friendly! My fabulous leasing agent Rey went out of his way to make sure I felt welcomed and wanted. My apartment and living space is luxurious! The Alexan River Oaks has all the amenities you need and they are topnotch! Your home is in a prime area of the city! Everything you ever need is in close proximity. Honestly, I couldnt think of a more perfect place to live. Management compliments us every week with a new fun idea for the resident to join in and meet. Maintenance is always on their toes and are relentless to get this in order and maintaining clean for us, thank you Rey for being an amazing person and making me feel like I made the right choice in signing the lease with you all!

This place feels like stepping into a swanky, luxurious 5 star resort! Everything is brand new, clean, and the staff are sooo responsive and accommodating. I thought I lived in luxury before and I was mistaken. This place is A+ on service, location, amenities, and definitely the deluxe feel of the living space. I have never felt more support from management, responsiveness regarding questions, maintenance or anything else I need help with! And the units themselves again, are like a 5 star resort, but better because its feels like home! This property offers one of the best feels in the city with its amazing amenities and community! The layout of the property outside of your unit feels like an extended home. I have toured the property more than once with the help of Rey, who was incredibly helpful and professional. When I went back for another tour, I met the on-site manager. Ive been and lived in many communities, and this manager caught my attention with her warmth and sincerity, as well as her willingness to go above and beyond.

Second, working with Renata starting from the tour to going through the leasing process has been a very good experience. She put in the effort to understand my requirements and provided a very comprehensive tour and an overview on everything I needed to know about the apartment, building and neighborhood. Its been 2 weeks since I’ve moved here and I really love it here so far!

We moved in the property about a week ago and are very pleased by the great amenities of the Alexan River Oaks. We especially want to recognize Rey from the leasing office for his professionalism, responsiveness and kindness. He made our transition to the residence both very smooth and fast.There are minor improvements that can be brought to the everyday management of the property (often running low on cups at the coffee machine, TV control in the shared amenities is difficult, etc) but this is a top place to live in from a general perspective.

Rogers, one of the gentlemen who works at the counter always had a smile on his face and was a wonderful friend while I was there. The leasing staff was always friendly and professional. TL:DR. Beautiful property. Staff that cares. Poor soundproofing. Annoying construction (this is temporary) on West Alabama, Excellent amenities, and a good concierge. Didnt renew my lease primarily due mostly wanting a bigger place, but soundproofing and getting away from that construction were non-zero factors. The biggest factor though is that I work from home and wanted a bigger place.Overall, its a beautiful building, with a helpful staff and some very thoughtful touches when it comes to the apartments themselves, however the negatives are the annoying construction next door as well as bad sound proofing. Its a good place to live, just a noisy one.

Okay, so normally I am not one to take the time out to write a review. Even worse I am often guilty of only writing negative reviews to warn people off of something and rarely for a positive experience. I am a bit guilty of not showing gratitude when things go as expected or, better still, above and beyond.This is a case of the latter. It felt like, for a period of time last year the staff here was not very good. Borderline bad review material. But at the end of the year we got some new faces, and they are making all the difference in the world. Despite being new to the property, you can tell they have years of experience behind them.Despite inheriting the previous staffs problems, and dealing with all of the extra fun of covid, I have never gone more than 24 hrs without a response to an issue. The staff is accommodating and professional, as well as warm and caring. You get a sense that they are doing more than just working a job, they are invested in their tenants. In particular I would like to mention Christine D., who has gone out of her way a couple of times to make things pleasant and warm while she handled my issues. Also, Rey, I believe, had been helpful as well.I truly appreciate the efforts the staff has put in over the last few months, and have and will continue recommending my friends apply to live here.

An amazing community to live at Alisha and Rey goes above and beyond their job titles. Application process is 3 to 7 business days but it’s worth the process. They take their time to make sure there residents are happy. The application is for your safety and that means a lot to me. Check out this apartment community you will love it.

A beautiful place. Management is great. Well kept. Only complaint is pool passes and you only get two guest per household. The elevator near me will stop working for 1-2 weeks every month is seems. Other than that super happy here!

Jennifer and Ronald are great. They both helped me get the apartment I needed, and they have both been very helpful after I moved in. The apartments are very clean and quiet, facilities are fantastic, and everyone I have seen in the building has been very nice.

Ok so I posted a negative review earlier because I was very frustrated with the lack of response to my emails and phone calls. I’m leaving five stars now because I am sooooooo impressed with how quickly and effectively they changed the system! They actually followed up with me and made changes, asking for feedback along the way. With the new leadership, this feels like the luxury complex I signed up for! I’m really happy we have Brenda and Lakyn aboard and look forward to enjoying my time here!And as always the amenities are amazing 😍
