    We’ve been living here for almost a year and have thoroughly enjoyed every moment! Unfortunately, due to an unexpected loss in our family, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to end our lease and focus on other priorities. That said, this community has truly exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, the amenities are top-notch, and the location couldn’t be better. We absolutely loved our corner unit with all the windows and natural lighting, and the added peace of mind provided by the overnight security staff was a huge bonus. If circumstances were different, we would have happily stayed much longer!Thank you 1414 Team!

    We have had the opportunity to call this place home one two separate occasions. A really great place to live, neighbors are nice and when me we have needed something done maintenance was on it. Huge shout out to Christina from the day we walked in to look at the apartments to us needing anything and to us moving out she has been SUPER amazing!!!

    We have been living here for a year now and have been nothing short of impressed! The staff is phenomenal and we absolutely love our apartment. The location speaks for itself, but the apartments, lobby, and amenities are extremely nice! We’ve only put in like two maintenance orders, but they were addressed same day. Staff is great about communicating to residents about events and anything we might need to know!Amenities are great. Lots of work from home spaces throughout the property. Staff has recently announced new partnerships with local coffee shops and restaurants where residents get discounts. More community events too. Just so awesome!Can’t say enough good things! Definitely recommend:)

    1414 wow, talk about the prefect luxury apartment and the heart of downtown. I’ve been here 9Months and couldn’t ask for a better staff and let’s not talk about the amazing view from my balcony. I’ma big Astros fan so I can literally walk 5-7 mins to get to the stadium. It’s lots of great restaurants and also my Amenities are to die for. I moved here from NC and the staff made it so easy and stress free ( Madison and Brent) and I just want to thank the company for all they have do thus far. To many more years here thanks 1414

    The staff here are amazing! The are all professional and responsive. The property is quiet and safe. I love my apartment and view. 1414 is the perfect location to get out and walk to a ball game, the bars on Main st. or a restaurant. They even offer a trainer 2 days a week as a bonus. I will recommend this property to anyone.

    Just renewed our lease for another year at this awesome property!The location is perfect for us Empty Nesters. We have a beautiful apartment and incredible amenity spaces still let us get the whole family together for special occasions.The staff is fantastic and we just couldnt be happier.

    We did a walkthrough of this property to potential move her. Best thing about this location was Alexis! She is so personal and warm! She took the time to make us feel welcome even when it was busy in the lobby. Amazing job multitasking. The only thing I am taking away a star was because the cleanliness of the amenities. There were some places that really need to be wiped down. The bike storage looked like a tornado and I dont know how you get your bikes out of. Wish they had a dog relief zone since Houston is a dog friendly city.

    I toured 1414 Texas Downtown and fell in love with it. First Lexi is fantastic! Besides being in a fantastic location, the whole vibe of the building is good. I cant wait to get my keys and make it my new home!

    We have been here about a year and it has been a very positive experience. I highly recommend 1414 Texas Downtown. If you love the Astros, you will love being in your seat within a few minutes after leaving your apartment. Its upscale, clean, well maintained and quiet. Great amenities like a workout room with high quality (and functioning) equipment; huge pool area and lounges; huge reservable downstairs entertaining area; reservable 8th floor sky lounge; free L2 charging for my EV, separate trash and recycle pickup, and much more. Parking garage feels safe and secure. Rarely can I hear my next door neighbor, and never a neighbor above/below. (Its a relatively recent construction commercial structure with concrete floors--NOT stick built like some other complexes.) The leasing and maintenance staff are top notch. I have had to call for maintenance a few times on minor items, and they are always here within an hour or two. I often feel like Im staying in a hotel, but its my apartment! Five Stars for sure.

    My lease at 1414 DTWN is almost over but wow, this apartment complex is amazing. There were a few issues here and there but Brent made sure they were all resolved in a timely manner. This is one of the safest buildings you’re going to find. Security walks around all night and they’re so kind. The neighbors are really friendly. The only con is sometimes the trash valet takes a little too long. Besides that everything is great! The parking garage is very secure and any cars that make it in get tagged and banned so rest assured!

    It’s been a great experience living here. The staff is genuinely nice and caring. Any issues arise are handled ASAP!! Brent,Christina and Pricilla are amazing. Emily from housekeeping does a fantastic job keeping the entire facility clean and honestly I don’t know how she does it by herself. When she’s not here it’s not the same. Fantastic immensities and a very secure building. For this reason I have decided to renew my lease.

    I’ve had the pleasure of living at 1414 for a year and half! I love my home, my view, my amenities, and the conveniences of living downtown. I love the energy that downtown brings, not to mention all the wonderful upscale restaurants within walking distance. My view is so amazing it has its own IG page. The management team is amazing, so good that there hasn’t been any turnover since I’ve lived here. A huge perk to be able to build a great relationship with friendly, helpful faces!

    Have lived here for over a year and love it! The property is fantastic, great amenities and staff is on point. The few times I have had to have maintenance for basics like AC filter and water filters, they were very efficient ...same day, both times! When you see them on property, they are always friendly and know who you are... which is a nice touch!The location is awesome...walking distance to wonderful restaurants, Discovery Green, and you’re minutes from all major freeways! So much to see and do in a close proximity!My personal experience with the management team, and Toni in particular, they go above and beyond to assist with questions and whatever is needed to make your living experience a positive one! Highly recommend!

    Went to tour the property. Customer service was good. Young lady at desk was extremely helpful offered us wine and or beer during our tour. The apartment was nice, building is well secure. The only reason I chose another property was the building seemed a little older, it could be updated a bit but overall a nice property.

    My husband and I love this property! We’ve lived in other places downtown that have nice amenities but just don’t feel like home. Here we have both! The location is great, and the staff from the leasing office to the maintenance crew are probably the best in downtown!Smart City HTX helped us find and tour at this place! They have been so helpful in making sure that we have everything we needed before move in and follow up to make sure we are still doing okay!

    When you work at home, the leasing agents become your co-workers. And I couldnt ask for better co-workers than Brent and Toni. Brent is always in a good mood and puts a smile on my face. Toni is absolutely amazing. I ask them for random things all the time (pens, highlighters, general office supplies) and they always give me one with a smile on their face.The amenities are beautiful. The pool is picturesque. There are plenty of working spaces in case you also work from home. The sky lounge is absolutely gorgeous and the perfect place to entertain/work/study.Theyre also one of the more affordable places downtown in a safe area. I had a dog and walked him around all the time by myself at night and never once felt intimidates/in fear for my safety.BONUS: The Astros stadium is two blocks away in case you like baseball. Also very close to the courthouse, Phoenicia Market, and Discovery Green.If youre looking to live downtown, this place is IT.

    Been living here for almost 2 years, and its been a pleasure.Positives: Apartment is located right next to the Astros, which is amazing. The location and the staff has been awesome. Shoutout to Brett, Madison, and Christina for making it a great place to live. In addition, they offer free EV charging, which is really convenient when having an electric vehicle. The amenities are nice, I enjoy the common areas as a place to WFH.The location is amazing. Before I swapped to a WFH gig, I lived and walked to the office. Its also part of Downtown that isnt a grocery food desert - Phoenicia is just a 5 minute walk away. Also amazing for attending conferences and happy hours downtown. You are a 10 minute walk away from main street and a 5 minute walk away from discovery green.The service staff is also brilliant. This is the first time Ive consistently have had work orders completed within a day or two.Negatives: In the past 2 years, every single time I went to the world series when living in this place, the Astros have lost. . Traffic also gets agonizing bad during games, but its the price you pay to be able to walk to the game. It also gets fairly loud at night.The last loss of star isnt really the staffs fault (and thus the loss of one star), but Greystars management doesnt empower the staff to make leasing choices or concessions.Coincidentally, offering renewal rates to tenants higher than what a new tenant would pay and preventing the leasing staff from making any sort of negotiation definitely led a bad taste in my mouth and made me determined to move out and store my stuff back in my house instead of staying here much longer as I travel for the next few months. After Taiwan/Tokyo/Denver/France/Belgium/Netherlands next year, I might make my way back here. As a new tenant, of course.

    I couldnt recommend this place more. My girlfriend and I toured almost every apartment complex worth touring in the downtown/midtown area. Speaking from a value standpoint, this place is unparalleled. The amenities are abundant, and ALWAYS spotless, the community is quiet and friendly, and the staff is absolutely a delight to work with.The leasing process was seamless while working with Toni and Brent. They are BY FAR the best leasing agents Ive ever come across. You can actually tell that they are good-hearted individuals who really care about the people who live here. It is very much a family energy, and since theyre at the forefront of that, I really appreciate them.I can honestly say, if you want to save a lot of time, and take your dollar the furthest, stop your search, and tour now. You definitely wont regret it!

    This place is great! I just signed my second lease here. Every maintenance request (like changing the filter to my water dispenser on my refrigerator door, nothing major) has been done easy and effortlessly. The staff here is amazing, especially Toni. Shes always quick to accommodate any requests and makes renting here a great experience. True professional and even better person.

    We have been three months in the complex and we are having an excellent experience. Neighbors and management are so friendly. Amenities are wonderful. In addition, there are other things less visible but important, package concierge service is so convenient and if a large package arrives, they will let you know and they will deliver it to your apartment!     Great place to live. Spacious, well thought out layouts, great location in downtown - close to restaurants, stadium and discovery park. Staff is amazing - very professional and courteous. Maintenance requests are turned around pretty quickly. Overall definitely recommend living here!

    Finding a place to live is the worst! I knew I wanted to live Downtown but thats all I knew. I spent a full two weekends walking in and out of apartment complexes, looking at floor plans, and hearing about specials. Then I found the Alexan Downtown. I knew they were brand new so I was excited to see what they had to offer.First and foremost, the location is INSANE. The Alexan is a stones throw from Minute Maid Park and literally next door to Vic & Anthonys Restaurant. The floor plans are ample in size with very little wasted space. Oh yeah... GAS RANGES! Yes, you read that right. Beautiful gas ranges and over-sized sinks. I fell in love as soon as I walked into the first apartment.Then there are the ample amenities. One of the things that lack in most Downtown complexes is amenities. The Alexan doesnt disappoint. A full gym, a pool, a sky deck, and a coffee bar in the lobby.The final selling point was definitely the staff. As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted with huge smiles. I worked with Jessica and she was attentive, down-to-earth, and very accommodating. She worked with me to pick the right move in date for the right apartment and I couldnt be happier.If youre looking for a place to stay, look no further. I guarantee the Alexan Downtown has a floor plan you will love and like me, you will be elated to call this place home!

    Updated: Ever since they change management this building has been just like when we move in. Building is back to always been clean and in order, the leasing office is always on top of everything and takes care of any request. Definitely worth living here. Toni is also great and she is always on top of everything. Location and facilities can’t be beat.I been living here since December of last year and it was honestly the best experience but ever since the management change about 3 months ago the places has gone down in quality and service. First the building is never clean to the standard that were set by previous management, the parking garage door have been broken for about a month, but we get a nice email every week saying the part has been ordered and should arrive soon. Whenever there is a baseball game there is never parking available, and there is about 12 reserved parking in each floor that are never taken but you can’t park there. Previous management used to do one event every month, the new management hasnt even done one event. Honestly the standard that we’re set by previous management made this place amazing, you get great location as well as amenities, but now that management is not good at all it just makes living here a bad experience.

    1414 Texas Downtown is a beautiful place to call home. The amenities, including the pool and gym are top tier. The location is amazing, and I have excellent views from my apartment. However, what really makes this place stand out is all the many ways they take care of their residents. The leasing team is fabulous. They all go the extra mile to help. When I moved in, I was walked to my apartment where a “Welcome Home” card and a bottle of wine waited for me in my new kitchen. They are genuinely resident-centered. On more than one occasion, I have seen the outstanding property manager, Jenea White, making coffee for residents (including me!) at the Starbucks coffee maker they have for us on the 1st floor. Yes! Free Starbucks every morning is a great way to start my day. When a small issue extended my move-in time a bit longer, a member of the leasing team, Brent Turley, brought chicken and waffles from a nearby restaurant up to my apartment to apologize for any inconvenience. That act of kindness was so appreciated! Equally impressive is Ad Martinez, the building service engineer. My service request was addressed the same day, and he even carried out some empty boxes I had unpacked for me as he left. I am also the owner of a service dog. I love how they all know my little pup’s name and greet him so warmly every time we are in the lobby. The entire team creates a welcoming and comfortable family atmosphere which lays the groundwork for the community here. I give them my highest recommendation. I am so happy to call 1414 Texas my home.

    I’ve been living at Texas 1414 for a couple of weeks now! One of the best things about living at Texas 1414 is knowing that Brent works here! He works in our leasing office and has been so extremely helpful and so patient with us! I’ve lived in a lot of apartment complexes in Houston, San Diego, NYC and Philly and one thing I’ve learned is that it’s super hard to find the absolute perfect place. One thing I’ve always looked for and appreciated is customer service. I think so much about your living experience comes from customer service! When you live in a building where staff values their tenants it makes the whole living vibe amazing! I can truly say that Brent is that amazing guy for us! Thank you Brent and Texas 1414 for being so incredible with our move here! You all rock!

    I have been here a month and I love it. The amenities, the staff, the price, the location. They all can’t be beat on downtown. I can walk to 50 restaurants and bars, walk to baseball and basketball. There are also nice parks to walk to as well. It feels like I am the only one here sometimes, so it feels like my own place because there are so many different common spaces to lounge around in. Do yourself a favor and check it out if you plan on relocating.

    I’ll get straight to the point.The Bad: The apartment is in a popular area downtown and as a result you have a lot of people checking it out. Don’t expect to come in/out real quick if you want a tour during peak hours. I suggest you visit during the weekday instead of the weekend to avoid this.The Good: Everything else. I toured on Saturday and signed on Monday. I checked out almost every apt downtown and wish I checked them out first to save me time. From the property manager Joseph to Madison who gave me the tour, they’re all on their A game and extremely thorough!

    This is a great place to live. I rented my apartment sight unseen, and I could not have been luckier to end up living here versus other places downtown. I will note that, based on my experience walking down the hallways, there may occasionally be noisy neighbors that you will need to call the office/security about, but that is a risk you take in any complex. However, overall I have zero complaints about this complex and the only reason I would move out is if I wanted to live somewhere with more square footage. The gym also has two Peloton bikes, which is rare amongst apartments in Houston.FYI make sure you call AT&T ahead of your move-in date to schedule your Wi-Fi installation. This is not a critique of 1414, but just a general observation as someone who was new to Houston and had to wait several days before they could come and set things up.

    I am giving the complex a 4 star rating ONLY because of its location. You can access everything and anything happening downtown by walking.As for living in this place..well.. the halls always smell horrendous, they have a dirty trash smell. Thats because they charge the $25 monthly fee for trash-pick-up at your door, so now were stuck with the smell. Its awful. People leave trash outside their doors throughout the day, despite the time frame allotted. Nothing works! I have tried using their business office, which is composed of one Apple computer that has never worked and one printer. (as of yesterday, there is no computer). The complex has a nice common-area room on the 8th floor with a large screen TV that has ALWAYS been without internet and/or service (no lie), the garage door jams frequently causing a line of vehicles to wrap around the building before someone has to come down and manually open it. Their butterfly MX app is broken half the time, which makes it hard for guests to reach you.The place is very pretty no doubt, But they need to be responsible with the maintenance work. The rent is very affordable, which is probably why they have poor maintenance and/or service.The Alexan has been sold and soon will become 1414 Texas Ave. Hopefully the new management has better ways to operate this complex.- Jana Garza

    Visited more than 10 different potential locations where I wanted to settle in Houston and I chose Alexan Downtown. Not because it was just as swanky or more than the rest, it was the personal relationship from the staff that made my decision easy. Felt like we went way back (Ashley and Margo). The plan was to shop them all (Catalyst, The Rice, The Carter etc..), then sit in my own batcave and make a decision. However, the vibes I picked up on from the staff made me to say Cool. Nailed It! Gilbert in there deserves a bottle and promotion.Ask the right questions and itll be a breeze. Pricing and promotions are very clear on the website itself. Other than that the building itself is resort style stuff. Over and Out ✌
