I have been at Windsor for 4 years and think overall it has been a good place to live. The location is great, I love being walking distance to coffee shops, Zilker park, the trail and good bars and restaurants too. The building has gone through a rough patch mentioned in other reviews in terms of some maintenance issues like the elevators and garage needing repair but I think this could happen at any large building where these are used a lot. Something I dont think is as common at other large complexes is the exceptional staff at Windsor South Lamar. Barae especially is fantastic. She listens to residents concerns, does her best to find solutions, follow up on any issue brought to her and genuinely make residents feel heard. When I have put in maintenance requests in the past, the maintenance team has always been very responsive, kind and acted quickly.

The apartment has been going through a lot of changes at once which has brought a lot of growing pains to say the least, but I wanted to leave this review specifically for the Windsor employees who try to go above and beyond given the difficult circumstances. Barae at the front desk has been extremely helpful in finding solutions to my issues and I feel grateful that she takes so much time out of her day to help 1 person. The new maintenance team is also incredibly kind, helpful, and quick. There is a lot of work that needs to be done, no doubt, but Ive noticed the team members who are really trying to make life easier on the residents that live here.

Best location in Austin- near Zilker, Lady-Bird Lake and downtown. Windsor staff is always focused on residents needs and are easily accessible. Ive been here almost a decade and have never wanted to live anywhere else in the Austin area!

Let me be clear-- apartments are not perfect by any means. People will always complain and there are always things that are needing improvement. The issues with this building are not a reflection on the new staff they have managing it. Windsor is a huge conglomerate and they clearly have priorities that are not aligned with residents comfort, not an uncommon theme for large apartment companies.I am giving 5 stars for the staff that works diligently to navigate Windsors business practices. I want to specifically highlight how Barae problem solves to make sure the residents arent suffering from the companys decisions. She is truly a Rockstar and deserves to be recognized for going above and beyond.When I first moved in, the staff was quite hands off and would look the other way, only causing more frustration from me and other residents. Barae is constantly walking the property and checking on residents, she remembers our names and faces and really cares about how we are doing. This makes me less inclined to complain or have issues because at the end of the day I know management is already aware of the issues with the garage or fire alarms and are working to handle it. This is all a resident needs to handle building malfunctions - communication and diligence.Additionally, the new maintenance team has been nothing but helpful and professional.Someone get this team a Christmas bonus ASAP because Lord knows they have earned it.

My partner and I couldn’t be happier with our new home at Windsor South Lamar. Barae and Katie were unbelievably helpful throughout the leasing process. Maintenance has been quick to complete any work orders we submit.The location and amenities are perfect. Walkable to many of my favorite spots, and the dog park is huge!!As far as the elevator or parking garage gate comments, it’s clear that the management team is addressing and fixing any issues in a timely manner. I’ve lived in Austin for 9 years and this is the best apartment experience I’ve had so far!

I have been living at the Windsor on South Lamar for almost 2 years now. Overall, its been a really pleasant experience.Like most of the other reviewers, I cant say enough good things about the maintenance staff! They are top notch. They respond to maintenance requests typically within a day or two of submission, and are always courteous of your pets and WFH schedule. They have been consistently great over the past 2 years and I have really appreciated it!The leasing consultants have had a bit of turn over in the office, but the most recent Property Manager Katie, and her team, have been wonderful. There have been noticeable positive repairs and changes to the property since she has taken over, and the communication has been great.Only major complaint is the rent prices last year (2022). While we are in a great location near downtown, there were some ridiculous rent increases last summer into the fall, and I had many friends who were priced out of living here. The leasing office, at the time, was not open to concessions or negotiations to keep people in units, and many of those people moved East to newer buildings which was a bummer. The community here, especially if you have a dog, is really great. And the pool is a chill social spot to hang in the summer and make new friends. Having moved here alone, the Windsor community was the main source of my initial friendships here in Austin. I am hopeful that the prices have stabilized a bit across the city, and that those who would like to continue to be a part of the Windsor community will have the opportunity to do so!

Great place to live! The maintenance team is amazing, Ever fixed everything asap and does a great job. He is very kind and goes above and beyond! I put in a maintenance request and it’s done that day! Even on a Sunday! I had a leak in my ceiling and he came out Sunday night to take care of it! Great people work here.

I am a currently resident at WindsorSOLA and not only do I love living here but wanted to post this and recognize how great the maintenance team is. Especially Ever, he has been here since my roommate and I moved in. He is always so kind, considerate and knowledgeable when helping us with any sort of maintenance issue. The whole team is extremely fast and always makes us feel like any issue we have is a main priority to them. This team truly is the best maintenance team I have ever had access to! Thank you guys for all your constant assistance and support!

I was just about to call the leasing office today to ask them question and read through some of the reviews and decided to include my 2 cents.The staff has been absolutely amazing to work with, both maintenance and front desk leasing agents. The maintenance guys helped me out tremendously by helping to install something I was not able to alone. The leasing agents and management have always been there to help and easy to work with. In order to address anything that may be a potential issue or that I have a question about, I go down to the office and communicate it directly to somebody. Based upon some of the other reviews Ive read, this may be stunning ...but when Ive communicated with any staff from there and let them know something, its ALWAYS been addressed quickly and amended.As for elevators, going down and what not ...unfortunately, they involve electronics or hardware, things are going to happen. Anytime something like that has happened like that, I immediately get an email from the office notifying me that they are on it. Their communication has been excellent, and regards to things like that. If there is a back order on parts due to whatever the circumstance, its not their fault and out of their control.To everybody that has complained about these small things, go to a third world country and live there for 6 months to see how good you actually have it.Thank you to all the hard-working staff for making it a great place to live.

Apt. Life at the South Lamar Windsor where here the stars are Gods eyes and where on a beautiful summer evening, from my wide-windowed apt, I see the clouds, backed by a palette of colors, paint the sky with their stillness, an elusive luxury the Windsor offers. Then, what I live for, awaits, a stroll down to my beloved hike and bike trail, an every evening joy at the S.L. Windsor and always in awe with the seasonal views. I feel the wind stir in the tree branches and I sink in the immensity of this endless stillness, in love with its sweet silence and the life that flows within us. My senses, both humbling and vividly awakened ,never forlorn or alone, I return to my Windsor home at the top of a hill, where in the still, in the solitude and space of my apartments unique place, I read and write in peace and quiet, my desk facing the warm glow of an evenings sunset. Here time flies under the cover of Gods eyes and unlike a sailor tossed at sea, I live in a supportive and friendly community, a happy, safe, and satisfied renter protected from any and all foul weather. I think Ill stay here awhile and enjoy the sunrise!

I’ve been living here for 8 months and I have to say Ever on the maintenance team has been a shining light. On my first weekend my AC was broken during the summer heat wave, and Ever came out, on Fourth of July and had it fixed in 30 minutes. I don’t know what I would’ve done without all the help from Ever these past 8 months!

I lived at Windsor South Lamar for 13 months and loved the property. One of the most well-managed places Ive ever lived. The office was always manned during working hours, and the staff was very responsive to phone and email messages. The one time I had a maintenance issue, the maintenance department responded and fixed the issue (broken garbage disposal) within two hours. I chose Windsor for the location. Its an easy walk to Ladybird Lake, Zilker Park, and Barton Springs. The building itself is well maintained and all of the fixtures in my unit were updated and relatively new.Its not perfect, the driveway is small and can be congested with moving trucks, and the ceilings are thin, so you will hear your upstairs neighbors heavy feet. Some people complain about pet stains on the carpets, but these are the fault of pet owners, not the property. The cleaning crew is very responsive to clean up accidents and the community carpets are washed frequently. Maybe the biggest complaint is the main elevator. I think it went down 3 times during my stay. First two times just for a few days, but the last time was down for at least a month. Still, there are two more elevators, and its not a very big property, so maybe adds 100 meters to your walk. Lastly, I was very worried about the train that runs behind the property when I moved in. My unit was at the back of the property and overlooked the train. I could hear the train inside my unit, but there were no whistles or bells and it wasnt an intrusive noise. I became used to it very quickly and was sleeping through it no problem within a week. Its not even loud enough to make you turn up the volume on your TV. I highly recommend the Windsor South Lamar and will live there again myself, if I ever move back to Austin.

Windsor Service Technicians Chris & John recently performed work at our apartment. They did a superb job and we have found that they can fix anything! They always arrive promptly on the same/next day that we submit our service request. Whether we need routine maintenance, mechanical repairs, or aesthetic paint/caulk touch-ups.....they are prompt, professional, courteous & leave the work space immaculate. We could not be more pleased.Jacob Worth of the Office/Front Desk Staff has a “How-Can-I-Help” attitude. He is not satisfied unless your problem/concerned is resolved. He too is cooperative, courteous & professional.Working with Windsor personnel is like interacting with trusted family, friends & neighbors. They are people you can count & rely-on, regardless of the problem.Please pass our observations along to any other tenants considering an apartment at the Windsor. Thanks!

I had a great experience with this apartment complex. Ladies at the leasing office very helpful and sweet. If you are a dog owner you will enjoy the dog park that was recently renovated. Great location and amenities. But the best part is a maintenance team. I was satisfied when work order was done during 24 hours and surprised that they have checked on other things that I havent even asked about.Sadly yesterday had to move closer to work downtown, but I would definitely recommend this apartments.

I have been living here since November of 2020. My move-in was during a time period that was before rent inflation truly became a national issue - not just an Austin one. So because of that my initial rent price was actually quite low for the quality of the residence and its location…Due to my initial move in price, the yearly renewal prices while frustrating and obviously not ideal are very moderate and highly competitive in the area. I know I am paying far lower than what a new prospective tenant would pay if they were to move into my floor plan.I also have very specific “Cake Eater-esque” needs as well. I was wanting to live on South lamar, first floor, with minimal neighbors and have a large enough living room space to house larger consumer products that would normally be better off in a single family home! This apartment building had the PERFECT choice for me. Suffice to say It will be damn near impossible and extremely painful to move…Management has been the most consistent in my experience. I have had nothing but the best customer service, patience and professionalism from all the associates in the office. Recently while renewing I was given the utmost respect and communication from management and maintenance - Robert and Christan have been stupendous in their duties as Windsor SOLA associates!The only negatives I have about the apartment building are unrelated to the structure itself or its upkeep, but rather some of the more interesting habits from various dog owners (not being fans of picking up after themselves when doggies have emergencies in indoor areas)…BUTManagement has been incredibly swift in response in both clean-up and wide-spread communication to residents in attempt to lower the continuation of theses “errors”.It is very much a “Luxury” apartment so there are the amenities one would expect as well as the required respect of minimal noise throughout the building during late hours - if anything I’m the neighbor people have to worry about there, but luckily enough everyone is friendly enough to communicate if this is an issue!That leads me to my final point. My neighbors. They are by far the best part about living here. I have met some of the nicest and sweetest people I have ever encountered in an apartment or otherwise. I was actually quite worried about this when moving here. I assumed luxury apartments would attract very entitled, snobby and possibly bigoted types of people, but other than one older tenant that has since moved out - it is simply not the case.If you have 2K+ to dish out every month for rent….. Which is a bit of an ask for most of us. Hey go for it. Management and Maintenance are AAA+ US Treasury bond rated in my book.Thanks,Michael Macintyre

The apartment was clean, the neighbors are all nice, and the dog park has been the biggest perk! Windsor SOLA is clean, quiet, and I can’t wait for an entire year here.

I just moved in last week and my experience so far has exceeded my expectations. The location cannot be beat as you have tons of things to do right at your doorstep. You’re in the middle of it all, with easy access to get anywhere in Austin. My place was in pristine condition upon moving in and all my neighbors have been super nice. Jacob, a member of the office staff, has been an absolute pleasure to work with and really made my move seamless. I definitely recommend Windsor South Lamar and look forward to being here for a while.

I have lived at the Windsor South Lamar for almost 7 years. The common areas are modern and inviting places to hang out or work. Great amenities include a huge, connected dog park, a dog spa where you can wash & groom your dog, a pool, and a second private courtyard with fire pits - perfect for hanging out with a glass of wine. The property and residents are all dog-friendly, which is great! The staff is friendly and competent, and under Katies leadership and property is continually being updated. Barae Dula, second in command is helpful, direct, and goes the extra mile. Any time Ive had a concern or question, it is immediately addressed. The maintenance staff, Ever and Chris, under Julians leadership are friendly and professional and respond quickly and work efficiently when I put in maintenance requests. And of course, the location is awesome - close to Ladybird Lake, Alamo Drafthouse, Merit Coffee, Cafe Medici, restaurants, and bars.

I lived here for 2.5 fabulous years and I only moved out because I moved cross country to Colorado. From the day I moved in to the day I moved out I was treated with high energy and kindness, and always felt welcomed. Lindy, Lauren, and team are always working hard for their Windsor community.The amenities are amazing. The resort like pool is an oasis and have multiple operational gas grills, the common areas are luxurious and always sparking clean. If you communicate honestly and often with management, they will try their best to hook you up with reservations for gatherings, meetings, etc.There were almost always fun signs in the elevators about events and holidays going on in Austin. A lot of times there were signs for food truck visits to the complex, or other local specials as Windsor SOLA often partners with local businesses.I was lucky enough to be on the downtown facing side of the complex and got to watch the city grow before my eyes!Windsor South Lamar is a magical place to live that I’ll never forget.

When I moved to Austin a few months ago, I looked at 10+ apartments. GAH. Windsor South Lamar was the last apartment I saw, and I was totally sold by the property and their management team. Jacob in the leasing office was SUPER responsive and professional (unlike the staff at some other nearby properties not to be named) and helped me get the awesome apartment Im in now. Its been about 3 months and Im very happy here. Its a big complex, with lots of different but universally friendly people, which makes it fun. Despite the size, my apartment is very quiet inside- super important during COVID as were all working from home. The complex is clean, in a awesome location, and I would highly recommend checking it out if youre looking for a new place!

The location of this apartment is the best on South Lamar, as well as the amenities and apartment features. There is definitely a luxury feel to the property, and I feel very secure in it.

We have lived here for almost 2 months now and are blown away by the quality of the building, the amenities, and the location. But what pushes this complex over the edge is the staff! They are amazing and will do whatever they can to ensure you have a seamless application process and help with any other needs you find along the way. Jacob was with us from the very beginning, and kept in contact with us to make sure our move was flawless (even had a surprise waiting for us when we moved in!). We are so thankful to work with all of the staff now that were here and are very thankful we chose Windsor SoLa!

Very happy with my stay here so far. I was one of the earlier tenants to move in, and so far I havent had any major issues with my unit. The amenities are very nice and the pool area is fantastic. Hanover is very close to downtown, and there a lot of restaurants in the immediate area; love the location.Im especially pleased with the girls at the front desk Courtney and Cassandra. With any issue I have had, Ive received prompt and professional responses. On top of helping me find a great place to live, they have gone above and beyond to ensure my stay sisas comfortable and homey as possible. 10/10 would recommend.

Pros: Beautiful facilities, amenities and furnishings, high quality appliances, really nice/diligent staff, great location (if you don’t mind living on busy South Lamar), lovely building, quick maintenance fulfillment, nice gym, etc. Lives up to the luxury title.Cons: The only con I can think of is that it’s a bit expensive to live at Windsor South Lamar, compared to other properties in the area. That being said, it was among the most beautiful properties we saw in our search for an apartment and the staff really does go above and beyond in all areas of hospitality.

I can’t say enough amazing things about my experience with Jacob Worth. Aside from being knowledgeable and patient he was truly an enjoyable and fun person to work with. The property is in a fantastic location near downtown, Barton springs, and Zilker. The apartments are a great quality, from the tall doorways and high ceilings to the quality cabinetry and appliances . This place is a truly great value! Thank you Jacob for being great at what you do! It was an absolute pleasure to work with you!

I moved here in November last year. From start to finish, the service here has been great! There are problems like any place you live. However, it is not the problem that should bother you but the speed in which the problem is solved. I have had several maintenance requests that are answered in less than 24 hours during the week day or weekend. Parking can be limited on weekends for guests, but I was told this prior to move in and just purchased an extra reserved parking for less $30/month. The location is in best area to eat and all local hangouts are amazing on South Lamar and nearby streets! The building is quiet enough for family or young professionals. Heck, the staff even pretends to laugh at my not so funny jokes, so that is good to finally have some friends :)For the record, I am not getting free rent for this post....but now that I think of it, I should print this out and ask...Or, if you move to Hanover, make sure and put my name as the referral!Hugs are Free...

Windsor South Lamar boasts excellent amenities, location, and service. Like any apartment there are of course a few shortcomings, but these are managed very well by the current staff. Being at the price point for a luxury apartment, I found that the amount of value you get for the price you pay is what drove my decision to live at Windsor SoLa and my decision to highly recommend this property. Compared to other local properties at this price point, I found that it wasn’t possible to find the same combination of solid management, building quality, available amenities, and location.

We have not yet moved in, yet this is hands-down the best leasing team we have ever dealt with. White-glove, exceptional/stellar customer service. I cant come up with enough wonderful things to say. Olivia and Amber have gone above and beyond to make sure every single phone call, email, and question has been answered (and we have been pretty particular and indecisive). Due to the current circumstances, we kept going back and forth between a one-bedroom or two bedroom and considering they have different floor plans for each, we changed our mind THREE times. Without any hesitation, both Olivia and Amber helped to accommodate all of our needs and answered all of our questions, all while being extremely kind , welcoming, and reassuring us that they are just happy to see us happy. Thank you guys! We really appreciate it. Cant wait to move in!

Great property in a fabulous location! I like to live close to the action but not right in the middle of it so this is perfect. 15 minute walk to Zilker, easy access to downtown. They have an app with discounts to the local hotspots.The front office staff is not only very professional and knows their stuff, they actually call back (quickly even) from voicemails.
