Living in a well-managed apartment complex that checks all the right boxes is truly makes life SO much easier. Whether you’re commuting to work, heading out for errands, or looking for entertainment, everything you need is just minutes away. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the people behind it. The staff here don’t just treat you like a tenant—they treat you like a person. They’re friendly, approachable, and genuinely care about your experience. Have a question or a concern? They respond with a smile and a sense of urgency, making you feel heard and valued. And then theres the maintenance team—absolute heroes! Something breaks? They’re there in a flash, fixing it quickly and efficiently. No endless waiting or half-done repairs—just prompt, professional service that gives you peace of mind. It’s not just a place to live—it’s a community where you feel respected and cared for! -

I have lived at Wilshire Park for 12 years and have no plans for moving. Wilshire Park is an older complex, but Sallie Brown as done a fantastic job on updating the roofs, gutters, siding, new paint and new patios. I also appreciate the time Sallie takes to communicate with the residents via text or email on any issues or community events. If you work at NRG or the Medical Center, consider Wilshire Park for your new home. -

Wilshire Parks Apartments is the best place weve lived in Houston, hands down. Weve had the privilege of staying at two different units in this complex since early this year (2024). I must state that the leasing staff and maintenance crew have been the most responsible and caring people weve had in many years. Theyve addressed every request promptly and professionally and are genuinely great people. Sallie has always been very kind and helpful. Jesse and the maintenance guys have also been extremely empathetic, quick to respond, and knowledgeable whenever weve requested their help. They even went above and beyond to improve our experience by providing us with extra paper towels after resolving a leak.We have nothing but good experiences with the neighbors as well compared to other places in Houston. In every other place weve lived in, weve dealt with some ridiculously inconsiderate, selfish, and violent people. So this was honestly such a great surprise. People actually go to sleep at night!!! The place is quiet at night. It never gets rowdy, not even in the pool area. Generally, we feel relatively safe here. But thats not to say the place is an unbreakable fortress; be mindful that this is Houston after all. The complex is gated but without a guard on duty.A few other key things to mention: Weve had no bed bugs or roaches. We love the in-unit washing machine and dryer. I remember living in another apartment complex in Houston where there were communal washing machines and dryers. Oftentimes, we would catch neighbors doing the Lords work with them, like throwing their muddy shoes in there, their soiled pet beds, and even vomiting directly into the machines! Its nice not to wash our clothes with that kind of filth. Ive also not seen trash lying around or many stray animals in this complex. I only saw one cat one time. The cost of rent is reasonable, and their online payment system works well.Due to all of this, we highly recommend Wilshire Park Apartments. And we do plan on staying for a good while :) -

Sally was quick in calling me back with my questions about the application process. She personally gave me a tour of the apartment complex. Will recommend to anyone looking to lease an apartment from her. -

I am going into my third year lease at Wilshire Park Apartments. I have had nothing but a pleasant experience at this apartment complex in Houston, Texas. I have rented in many different cities and states in the US, and I can honestly say Sallie Brown (the property manager) and maintenance crew have been the best Ive ever known. They are incredibly fast and responsive in all various issues that have come up over the years. The swimming pool is open year around and always pristinely clean. Cant say enough good things about this place! The community is generally safe, but of course always be aware of your surroundings and take precaution as anywhere in the world! -

This is my old apartment and honestly I loved my little place. Rent was VERY affordable and you get so much sq ft for your buck. I paid $985 for a one bedroom , patio , nice vanity, fake fireplace and it was beautiful & spacious inside. They had a lot of units for even less too. That’s like unheard of for the middle of Houston right now. Now If you like “amenities ”, this is not the place for you . However , if you want a cute regular apartment that’s clean & cheaper , give it a tour. It’s on the quieter side of Main Street too, so we didn’t have a lot of issues that the other apartments on the other side had with homeless wandering, ppl hanging out, theft , etc. Staff were friendly, maintenance was fast & thorough. It’s also gated. Location is super convenient , if you were a working student like I was . They also didn’t mind helping with payment plans when I moved out , to cover a few fees I had from extending my lease . You will see an occasional outside bug but for me I never had any real pests. Just keep it clean and always keep up with pesticide treatment. My neighbors were friendly and it just felt homey. The cons: the hard water issues are a thing , so yes get filters and the community areas definitely needed a makeover. The biggest con is the NRG stadium events though . Noise and traffic will be horrible! So I hope you know shortcuts. Also, I’m glad I lived toward the front of the complex, when I was there because it just seemed more peaceful. But honestly this apartment saved me when I was need, so it always holds a special place in my heart .💗 Good luck apartment hunting though! 4/5 -

I am currently in my 3rd apartment at Wilshire Park. I lived here with my sister in 2016, moved into a 1 br in 2017, and then late last year moved into the floor plan Ive been wanting every since I moved in here almost 8 years ago.My present apartment is updated and I really love it. There are a couple of little things to do (the previous tenant didnt move out when they were supposed to so not everything was finished when I moved in here - nothing major to keep me from living my best life, though). I am happy with all the upgraded appliances and new paint and carpet. My previous apartment wasnt updated before I moved in, and it was home for a long time, but it was hard to appreciate with everything being so old and it never really FELT like home.I had a choice of leaving the complex once my lease was up or jumping on this floorplan and signing a new lease instead (transferring) and I chose to stay here.My new place truly feels like home and Im so glad I stayed. -

I come from a really small town and moving to the city for my doctoral program was nerve wracking for me, and I have always felt safe here. I also really appreciate that the landscaping is regularly taken care of and that management often looks for ways to improve the complex, such as new roofs, tree trimming, replastering the pool. Many complexes let these things go by the wayside, but that is not my experience here. Updates to the interior of the apartments is the only thing that could be useful, but is not necessary. Before I moved in, I had fresh painted walls and new carpet and flooring put in, which was really appreciated. I have enjoyed living here. -

Convenient location, near NRG and Astrodome, with public transit available less than a block away. I had a 12:00pm appointment to tour and they were actually able to take me early which was great. Chanell, the Leasing Specialist, is very well-versed and knowledgeable about both the apartment complex and property management in general; she was able to answer all of my questions thoroughly, transparently, and kindly. I don’t live in this complex, but after the amazing experience I had, I am highly considering it! -

I have truly enjoyed staying at wilshire this past year. When I was led to go to school here by God this apartment was the place God led me to and it immediately felt like home and peace was all over this place. I loved my neighbors, the diversity, very peaceful, and welcoming.Whenever I needed anything fixed it was immediately same day or next dependent upon when the work order was placed. I didn’t need the maintenance man but once the entire time living here. They are very nice and professional in the office and would return calls immediately if there was an issue. This apartment is very cozy and one of my favorites out of the entire places I’ve rented. It’s safe, walking distance of stores like target, fast food and a few others. I even exercise a lot In this neighborhood and isn’t too far from school or where I worked. Perfect place to rent. Miss Sallie is so inviting warm and welcoming and I know you will enjoy this place as much as i did. -

I lived in Wilshire Park Apartments for almost 2 years and my experience was wonderful. The staff is curious and will always say hi when they see you and never did I have a problem with the maintenance staff. The area feels safe because it is a gated community but because it is close NRG stadium, there are problems with getting home on days where there are events (i.e. football games, Houston Rodeo, BBQ competitions) and there is a bar right next to the complex so the road often fills with parked cars. I never had an issue with bugs or flooding and the neighbors are very friendly. I would recommend Wilshire Park to anybody looking for a decent place to stay in Houston. -

I lived there for 2 yrs and a half. Even though the apartment is a little bit old with bug issues occasionally, the location and maintenance are very good. Staff in the leasing office are always helpful. I miss this place very much! -

Great location for things like food and general shopping. Really great if you go to school or work in the Texas Medical Center. Living near NRG stadium has its perks like walking to shows and saving on parking fees. Place is pet friendly for the most park and the grounds are clean and well-kept. As always rent could be cheaper, but you certainly get a good experience for what you pay for. -
