    Iā€™ve been staying here since March I think , and I love the apartment community . I love that my apartment has a large backyard . I love that all my work orders gets completed in a timely manner .. I love Clair and Jane they are so sweet and understanding.. I also love that they keep the community nice and clean . I just wish they offered 2 bedrooms with backyards because my 1 bedroom is kinda small , I need a yard for my dogs so I had to settle for the 1 bedroom ..

    My friend & his family moved in there a few months ago. It comes with washer & dryer. Pet friendly for dog owners. Neighbors seem to mind their own business & stay out the way.

    Brad is an amazing representative for Westwind Apartments. He works tirelessly as one of the best maintenance crew members that Ive seen in the almost eight years that weve been here. Yesterday (01/15/24) there was a burst water pipe in the gym that caused a water outage for three buildings, one of them mine. Even though it took a while, he and a contractor worked late until the repair was completed and our water service was restored. This isnt the first timeby far that Ive seen him work late into the evening and on weekends too. Its great to know were in good hands when emergency repair services are needed.

    Jose M is an amazing maintenance professional! Very polite and very skilled at his job. We had a few things we had been putting off that needed fixing and within a couple hours of putting in our maintenance order, Jose came and fixed it all very quickly while still showcasing quality work. šŸ‘

    Iā€™ve lived in one of the smaller one bedroom units here for over a year now and have really enjoyed my stay.The location is great for going anywhere in town, or straight onto the highway, which is very convenient.Are they the nicest units in the world. No. They were constructed in the 80ā€™s and there are times it shows. But the more newly renovated unites takes a lot of that away.The community in my section of the complex is generally quiet and usually has parking to spare until late nights on weekends, as youā€™d probably expect with most places.If you follow their rules, and use their parking registration app for you and your guests you should have no issue. (This is the first place I havenā€™t had a friend accidentally towed for not parking in the right place)Iā€™ve been told the maintenance staff works wonders, but I havenā€™t even had the pleasure of finding out. Our unit has been free of any issues the entirety of my stay so far, and I hope it stays that way!The only critique I could leave this place has been with a recent issue with billing that was finally able to be resolved after a week of pestering. The office staff has changed hands multiple times and Iā€™m sure thatā€™s led to a lot of confusion on their end. Nothing I can truly fault them for.Overall I have truly enjoyed this place during my stay. I wouldnā€™t come here expecting some lavish luxurious modern apartment, but if thatā€™s not your thing, than this place is great!

    I have been living at Westwind for about 4 years and it has been a wonderful experience so far. I have thought about moving previously but always renewed my lease. With easy access to the highway, quiet community, great location, and affordability you canā€™t really ask for more. Whenever I have a maintenance issue(which isnā€™t often) they are always quick to fix the issue. The staff is also very nice and helpful that can be hard to find at some apartment complexes.

    My family and I have lived here for almost a year and a half now. We love this community. Jane and Claire in the office are a delight and great at making us feel important. Jose is quick to respond to work orders and always polite, friendly and efficient to compete work. And Gus always keeping the grounds and pools in great condition.Thank you, to the entire Westwind family.

    Been here for a year now. Been a lot of ups and downs and Iā€™m sure management could agree haha, but in the end the renting experience has been a great oneā€¦.only to be matched with an even better customer service experience. All the gals up front are super helpful and understanding in all scenarios. Iā€™ve found a great deal of respect and family type treatment from the leasing department. To top it off we here at Westwind actually have a VERY understanding corporate office. All in all it gives great family type vibes here. Super thankful for the help and support Iā€™ve received from Bethany and those up front and glad to call Westwind my home before home. Looking forward to another year leased here before we move on to our new adventure! Thanks Westwind and Staff!

    Hello,I am a 28 year old Mechanical Engineer working just north of Denton who has been a resident of West Wind Apartments just under 1 year. I have moved here from the Texas panhandle and I am used to a laid back community. Thankfully, that is exactly what I am experiencing here as well. Shera and the team were very helpful in my move to the complex and as well as answering all my questions to help in my transition from ranch living to apartment living. I have truly enjoyed myself living here. The grounds are kept clean, we feel safe living here and we know if we need anything to ask. They are also very pet friendly and the community keeps the dog park picked up daily. Maintenance has been a blessing as well. We had an AC go out this summer and Carlos was quick to troubleshoot it and get it replaced for us in a timely manner. The staff are always friendly and are quick to wave as we drive by. We are thankful with how lucky we were in picking this place. The effort & communication from the staff is great as well as how they handle things. They always do the right thing which goes a long way with us. Thanks again yā€™all!KJ

    Brad from Maintenance came out on Saturday morning in the crazy cold and fixed the constant beeping from the old entry alarm system due to a dying battery. He obtained permission from the manager to allow him to take the box off the wall and disconnect it. The box fit right back onto the wall; no mess and no beeping. (Bonus; he also replaced our smoke alarm which was the initial suspected culprit.) So glad we didnt have to listen to intermittent beeping all weekend! Thanks, Brad, for your timeliness, friendly service and expertise!

    I have lived here for 13 years. I have seen a lot of changes but all for the better, with the exception our cable use to be free. Lol. Even though I have seen different managers they all have been cool. Im old school in so many ways but they all still treat me with respect. We do and have always had some hard working maintenance guys. Hats off to Westwind for making that happen. I love the area in which I live , I hope to be here a few more years as long as I can afford the rent. Thanks for making my life less complicated. Westwind Rocks.

    Our stay at Westwind has been a very pleasant one. Overall itā€™s very peaceful and has been a great experience. Management is super understanding and the upfront office staff have been beyond accommodating and helpful consistently throughout our year long stay so far. Looking forward to our next lease before we go to our forever home!

    Living at WestWind has been a good experience! My wife and I have been here with our dog for almost half a year now and itā€™s been really nice. The apartment is pretty well furnished and the property is kept pretty clean and well-managed. When weā€™ve had issues, the maintenance guy has been happy to help fix them. Overall itā€™s been a great first apartment.

    My husband and I have been living here for 2.5 years now and counting.Weve never had any problems with the area and we feel safe here. Weve also never had any issues with mail or packages arriving. Parking is also never a problem and were happy to say that weve never had anyone towed as long as you are making sure all vehicles are registered properly.The units are not luxurious, you can tell they are a little bit on the older side but they are designed well with their division and space. Theyare comfortable and probably the best value for your dollar that you can get in Denton and I have looked.Maintenance has also been very helpful and consistently fixes whatever is needed to be fixed, we do generally have issues with our A/C in the summer but theyve always had someone out to fix it in good time.The leasing office has been pleasant enough. I think they have gone through a lot of changes in management and that can reflect at times when communicating with them but they have always been able to assist us and problems are really few and far between.Overall there is a reason why we have been here for so long so I definitely reccomend these apartments to anyone in the Denton area that is looking to get value & comfort for their buck.

    My spouse and I have lived at Westwind for 7 years. Since the complex has been under new ownership things have gotten progressively better, especially with the current team (lets hope they stay) of Bethany the office manager, Taylor the manager assistant, Brad the super maintenance man, and Gus the porter (and all knowing eyes of the property). Everyone mentioned is extremely friendly and very responsive to resident needs. I really do like it here.

    My experience at Westwind is truly exceptional. Bethany in the office is extremely professional but has been accommodating to all of our needs . It is a wonderful place to live and is so convenient to the highway for work and shopping. We are so happy to call this community our home !

    Honestly great apartments to live in with great location next to the highway which makes it easy for me to commute to work! Love the fact that there is 2 pools plus a dog park within the complex. The backyard to my apartment is also a plus specifically with 2 dogs in our family. In our 4 years living here Bethany has been very helpful and nice.

    Jose Medrano is the best maintenance that recently just joined and helped fixed our dryer. The property itself is not that bad, they will work with you and give you discounts moving in. Iā€™m hoping now that Jose is here a lot of the issues on site could be fixed.

    So far Iā€™ve been very happy with WestWind. There was a couple of maintenance issues when I first moved in and they handled the issues quickly. The front office staff have been incredible to work with so far, they were kind and patient with all of my questions during my move in. Stormy and Kaitlyn were amazing during my application and lease signing processes, they were on top of everything.The buildings are older so you can hear anytime someone ā€œslamsā€ their front door shut. Other then that itā€™s pretty quiet. There are some ā€œlandlordā€ specials painting on some parts of the apartment. But it isnā€™t anything horrible or anything of consequence. Theyā€™re dog friendly as well which is a huge plus to me! The dog park could use a little bit of work but beyond that itā€™s fantastic and Iā€™m super happy with it.

    Iā€™ve only been here a few months, but the maintenance man Carlos is always so sweet and is very quick to fix any problem I have at any hour. My a/c broke in the summer and he showed up not too long after I called and was more than happy to help. Today my heater broke and he came in not too long after I called, even changed my filter for me. So grateful to finally have an apartment where maintenance cares and does a good job.

    I absolutely love my apartment!! I havent lived in an apartment in about 10 years and i am so happy we found this one and are so happy to call it home.. Me and my babies and our puppy are soo happy here! Bethany is such a sweetheart! She treats you like family and is always helping us anyway she can!! We love the pool and our puppy absolutely loves to play at the dog park! Westwind rocks if I could give 1000 stars I would!!

They walk you through everything step by step, Stormy has done a great Job at explaining everything, it helps even more when is the first time renting out and apartment by yourself.     I moved in at Westwind almost 2 weeks ago and I love it so far. My apartment is very nice, and spacious. Eva was super helpful in helping me sign my lease since I moved from another state. On my move in day, Stormie was great in answering my questions and getting everything squared away I needed. Everything has been stress free. Iā€™m happy with my move here.

    Maintanance is good. had an issue with my ac over the weekend so i called and let them know. came out same day checked the problem, ordered the parts and had everthing up and running the next day. was surprised i was able to get a hold of someone so quick and that they took action that quick over the weekend.

    When the new management took over, my apartment needed a lot of maintenance. Shera and Stormy were not gonna accept anything except exceptional customer service under any circumstance. They got on the phone immediately. They even arranged for me to have access to another unit until my issues were resolved. Anthony, the person actually doing the maintenance .. an absolute pleasure, he knows exactly what heā€™s doing and worked tirelessly to make sure everything was right.

    I see all the other reviews and I understand their point of view but the bottom line is that this place is pretty cheap. You cant expect elite service when youre not paying $1200+. I moved from Dallas and this place is great compared to others. But I will mention a few things -1. There is the occasional roach. Luckily they spray every Tuesday. So call the office to get scheduled. Boom, done.AND2. There is a lady (most likely the owner) who has some weird attitude BUT Cindy and Adrianna are absolutely the BEST part of management. Anytime I need anything they take care of me and answer my questions fully unlike the owner.Overall I would recommend to anyone needing a decent cheap place to live. Ive had little issues since moving in so Im quite pleased.

    The apartment is pretty good for the price, and since the new management took over this place has only gotten better. I noticed a patch of mold/mildew that was covered up by the old maintenance team on Sunday, and brought this up to the staff on Monday as I noticed the wood warping and the smell of mildew on Sunday. Shera and her staff took action literally the next day and prioritized the issue since mold and mildew is a major health concern, especially for those with chronic lung disease. Anthony worked diligently and tore out all of the affected cabinet, disinfected the area and making sure to remove any debris, as well as resurfaced it and made sure the surrounding area was A-ok. Im honestly pleasantly surprised and grateful for how swift the maintenance team and office staff were able to resolve this issue. The office staff are also very polite, make sure to listen, communicate well, and give you solid solutions to any issues you bring up, which is a lot more than some other complexes in Denton, ESPECIALLY student housing. I look forward to a positive experience here and would recommend this community to anyone looking around due to the price, floorplans, and the great staff.

    Update to my previous review:Maddie is amazing and has always done what she could to help. She listens and cares about her residents and potential residents.Cynthia also has been amazing and listened. If she wasnt sure about something that was asked she was prompt in getting an answer for me.5+ starsSo I have not fully moved in. Amber was amazing when I went to look at the apartment. That process went smoothly getting approved and etc.Im ready to get moved in and situated.Reason for 3.5 stars is just because I havent moved In.     The best of everything! Safe neighborhood (the apartments have a free alarm service and our main entry and patio doors make a sound when opened which is great when you have small kids), no bug problems of any kind, fast response to service maintenance requests, friendly, reliable and professional staff(Carol, Adriana and Cindy are great!), the maintenance team are on point!...chad once stopped what he was doing in another apartment to come fix my refrigerator that turned out to not be defective but i had only turned the wrong knob so it wasnt cooling, haha (oops!). There are 2 beautiful swimming pools (open and clean year round) and clean landscaping and grounds, plenty of parking, courtesy officer on site who quickly and quietly resolved the one incident i could overhear from a neighbor, kid friendly (a small playground would be a good update), and pet friendly. To compensate for there not being a workout center, we were given a free membership at a local gym for the length of our lease agreement. The management office is actually open on Saturdays and Sundays, which is super convenient, very reasonable rent rates, electricity (denton municipal) and water are also very reasonably priced. There are plenty of trash bins that are always kept clean and never overflow. I like the layout of the 2bdr/2bth because even when my former neighbors would stay out late on their balcony hanging out, talking loud and playing music, we could go in our bedroom and close the door and never hear another thing. This is the 7th apartment complex I have lived in during the last 15 years and Westwind definitely rates in my top 2. They just had all roofs replaced and covered parking updated. We are only moving because my husband has finished his grad degree and needs to be closer to a new job in Dallas.

    Great place to live and very convenient area. Everything is around, you have your target and Walmart, Irving mall, libraries, cvs and Walgreens all within a ten minute drive or less and of course you have your restaurants or fast food. All around great apartment complex!

    Its a mid-level apartment complex thats cheaper than most other non-rent controlled places. The staff is as friendly as you could expect. The tenants are mostly decent and relatively quiet. The location is convenient. Its just so pleasantly and ruthlessly normal.Pro: fenced in dog park. My buddy likes to play with other friendly dogs and it saves me the aggravation of having to put on real clothes and drive somewhere.Con: ok... so, get this - The two bedroom units (I dont remember what name they gave our layout) have exactly ONE power outlet for the whole living room space. Two whole plugs for the tv, cable box, wifi, playstation, and speakers (tv speakers blow. I need my bass). Charge your phone? Theres a kitchen for that. Lamps? Too bad. Thats bedroom furniture now. Unless you want to put em up in the dining half of the space. It has TWO outlets.It just strikes me as strange is all.

The environment is so calm and safe and the staff is so helpful and quick.Talking about the manager Elyssa sheā€™s so nice and kind sheā€™s a type of a person who would never hesitate to help if helb is needed, very understandable and sweet person. I would honestly highly recommend this place overall

    Just signed my second lease here at Westwind, the apartments are beautiful, the staff are friendly, and maintenance fixes problems before you even knew there was one. Safe, clean, and well taken care of.

    I give 5 stars for many reasons the office people were very nice and answered all of our questions and talk us through our moving process and I also give 5 stars to Carlos the maintenance guy he was very helpful and was on top of things
