I recently moved into my first apartment at Volar, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience so far! From the moment I began the process, Christine, the property manager, has been incredibly helpful, making the entire move-in process smooth and easy. She’s always available if you need anything and is quick to respond with any questions or concerns. Her attentiveness and friendliness have truly made this transition a positive one. If youre considering moving here, I highly recommend it – and know that Christine will be there to support you every step of the way!

Only the first week here but so far love it! The apartment is fantastic, the property as a whole looks great! Weve had no issues getting things fixed in a appropriate time! The office staff is great, Amanda is absolutely the best and gives her complete attention and effort to find you a home! Would definitely recommend speaking with her if youre looking to move to the area!

I been living here for over a year and it’s been swell. I truly have to say this has been a wonderful experience and would suggest living here to anyone. Susan, one of the office workers, has been extremely helpful with me in the past. She’s been kind and patient when I needed it in hard times.

I moved into this place when it was first built and lived here for one and a half years. I have had almost no issues during this time and only have two complaints.The first being that the AC drips water into the tub from a pipe in the ceiling. This is noisy at night and it builds mildew like crazy from the splashing drops. This is a design fault and theres not really much they can do about it now.The second complaint is that after the new management took over they stopped accepting packages at the front office. Most companies wont leave boxes in front of your door in an apartment complex to avoid theft and the mailboxes provided are tiny. As someone who works full-time and orders everything online this was very annoying.Other than those two inconveniences living here was fine. I would recommend it for those looking for something a little nicer. Or at least something that was built this decade.

I lived here for about 15 months and honestly I never had problems with anything. The few times I had issues the maintenance showed up within the next day (always made a work order after hours). They were also very happy to help for whatever questions I had. The price was very much worth the space I got. Definitely would move back if Im not good with the new apartment in at. Also plenty of parking for guests and no need for fighting for spots. 10/10 great first apartment experience.

WellI used and the went in person to view the apartment, which was vacant and clean. Application process was easy , after finished filling out called to let Christina Green know. Christina Green was knowledgeable about the apartment and grounds. Quick process got approved and git further details the following morning. Compound is clean and has lots of parking spot spaces. Seem like no matter the time you return you still get a descent well lite parking spot close to your building. Quiet location and community. Valet trash is very convenient. My wife and I looked around the immediate area for affordable apartments and yes we found some cheaper literally but they were just that cheap. No other apartment apt. complexes would show us the unit wed be moving into even thought they were move-in-ready they would only show us the model unit. Im sure theres a reason for that. Probably because the model unit is not representative of what youd actually be renting. However, at Volar we were impressed with the office staff. Jaqueline was very helpful and over-the-top friendly. She really worked to accommodate us and was ready and willing to show us the exact apartment wed be renting. When we did the walk thru, the apartment was immaculate and the grounds were well kept. Also a selling point was the fact that cable is included in the rent. We did note a couple of minor issues that needed attention and the maintenance person (friendly as well) was there the very next day. This apartment complex fit right in our budget and I could not have made a better choice or value for the $. Thanks Volar team!

I love living here because its within walking distance to the Alamo Drafthouse and because the bathroom has a comfortable garden bath bigger than any in any apartment Ive lived in before. Cable and internet included in the rent makes things simpler, and the in-apartment washer and dryer are not cheap and run down like Ive experienced in previous places.I can see a lot of complaints here about the new management, and I would like to address that. Ive come to understand that there was a hectic transition last year and that many things changed very quickly. A lot of residents were dissatisfied with this sudden shift and have been outspoken about their perception of the new staffs inability to adapt as they got everything straightened out. What Ive personally seen since with the new staff has been what I consider to be an earnest effort to try to gradually stabilize a chaotic situation. Its been almost a year since then, and things arent perfect, but they are still improving. The key to re-achieving stability is good communication. If we continue to voice our concerns and our desires for improvement, we can once again get to the point where faith in the system is strong. I hope that my fellow residents will join me in being more communicative and understanding as the apartment complex goes through this growth period. I believe that things will only improve in the coming year as staff seniority and familiarity become better established.-Edit: Summer 2019I have been living here one additional year since I originally wrote this review, and I feel it is appropriate to upgrade my review to 5 Stars. The management staff here and in particular the maintenance staff are always accommodating and often bend over backwards to make sure my needs are met appropriately. I loved living here, and I would have definitely renewed for another year had the course of my life not forced me to move elsewhere. I highly recommend this place, definitely one of the best apartment complexes in this part of town.

Beautiful property, great location, and the maintenance are spot on! The ladies in the office are very helpful and very knowledgeable! I just love living here! Wish I could renew and stay another year but my husband works all the way by OConnor so we will be moving come June. Definitely going to miss living here! Thanks for the wonderful memories we made here as well as the relaxing swims at the pool!

The environment at Volar is very peaceful and quiet. Maintenance and the office staff are very kind and friendly. Any work order submitted is done quickly. We have enjoyed our stay here and look forward to renewing our lease.

Dont believe this recent review! These are the girls next door trying to sabatoge the new complex. I know cause I lived next door and recently moved here and they were so upset when o moved out trying to tell me the staff was rude. The staff is so nice and the maintenance is the best. They are so helpful and always try to help me with everything. I got a great move in special and free cable and Internet. Yes the trash bill is higher than next door but they do a good job with keeping everything clean even with construction still there. Come by and see for yourself

Me and my boyfriend have been here for a year now on a 14 month lease. Weve been pretty happy but at this moment Im am very upset. We received a notice to vacate on our door last night saying that we didnt pay our rent. Our rights of occupancy and possessions are hereby terminated. We have never been late to pay our rent and it was very frustrating and scary to get this stuck in our door. I missed three hours of work this morning just to make sure we get things sorted out. Ive had my mail opened before and another time where I had to go back to ask for another piece of mail when I was told I didnt have anything else. Before we moved in, our patio door didnt have blinds and after 10 months they stick a letter in our door telling us that they will be charging us $15 to install patio blinds. Everyone else had patio blinds on their door before they moved in, why do we have to pay? My boyfriend told them that and they still insisted we pay until I went down and told them we werent paying for something that shouldve been there in the first place. It freaks me out that theyre so quick to send people up to put notices in our door without any records of us being as loyal as we can. Because theyre so unorganized Im scared people might move our stuff out while Im gone away at work even though they found the money order for our rent. The girl I gave my money order to didnt even remember me paying my rent. Im tired of brushing things off saying people make mistakes. There shouldnt be mistakes when the security of our home, our belongings, a place to stay and our credit is threatened with eviction. They just said sorry and that there was nothing that they could do to make us happy again. I am very unhappy and I hate living here now and I cant wait to move out in 2 months.^^^in regards to my previous review, I just want to say that Kim Mader of Greystar has reached out to me in concern of my review. They have restored my happiness and faith in The Volar. Overall, despite my previous review this apartment is probably one of the best places you can live. Theyre very good with maintainence and maintainence is a huge factor when looking for a place to stay. If you need something taken care of within your apartment theyll come up and take care of it for you. Sometimes itll take a couple days especially if the matter isnt very serious but your problem will be fixed soon. Weve always wished to own a dog or a cat but the pet fee is pretty pricey but keep in mind that dogs and cats can do quite some damage to an apartment...so that is very understandable. If I could, I would renew our lease but sadly we are ending it and looking into houses. I very much appreciate the call I got today Greystar. Thank you for hearing me out.

Lived here for a year with my husband and 2 babies ... not a bad place honestly sure some neighbors were loud but you can’t expect everything to be perfect ? Maintenance is amazing ! When we had a problem they came right away ! No roaches ! Ever! A bit over exaggerated about the patio “rules”...car never broken into or anything stolen ..there are other places that are worst honestly

Maintenance workers are by far the best we’ve encountered so far for an office staff is courteous and friendly we never had any bad experience living here we have two boys would regularly take them outside to play without any issues the only reason they come short of five stars is because some of the materials used to build these apartments arent the best quality and deteriorated More than we felt like they needed to in our time there hopefully we don’t have to pay for them out of pocket.Update: Volar didn’t charge me extra for deteriorated materials 👍🏽 five stars from me.
