I’ve lived at The Vintage for about 6 months now and have not been met with any problems. Timikah was so helpful in my move in process and to this day so kind and attentive. Maintenance does a great job at responding to requests quickly as well. I plan on renewing my lease and honestly would recommend this place to my friends. -

I have lived in this complex for almost 3 years and is by far, the best luxury apartment home community. They are beautiful and the location and convenience makes working in the Medical Center area the best option. You avoid traffic and the high cost of filling up your tank so turns out to be an added cost savings. Not to leave out the fact that James is a bonus when it comes to taking care of service requests. Hes professional, knows everyone by name, and will do whatever possible to ensure the tenants are happy. Service requests submitted are usually addressed and closed within 24 to 48 hours. Thanks James and Vyanka for all you help as new managers transitioned. -

I have lived at The Vintage for going on 3 years and I love living here. The new manager, Megan, has been extremely helpful in making me feel like a valued tenant, she is always friendly when I have a question or if I have a concern, she addresses promptly. Megan goes above and beyond to make sure Im comfortable as resident. -

I lived at The Vintage for 4 years while going to school in the medical center and am so grateful to have chosen this apartment complex. Many of my classmates stayed in the other apartment complexes around the medical center and I had the opportunity to visit them over the years. I can confidently say The Vintage apartments are easily the best option and would 100% choose them again over the other complexes now having 4 years of knowledge of the area.Over the years, several other apartment complexes in the area delt with things like termites, car break-ins, frequent power outages, wrongful car towing, and pipes bursting from freezes. The Vintage only had one car break-in during my time and Im pretty sure they caught the guy who did it because of their security cameras. The complex itself is a gated community that is importantly not located on the busy Fredericksburg Road or Medical Drive. This means that even during rush hour there is not much traffic blocking you from entering the complex. It is also located far enough away from the light between Ewing Halsell and Louis Pasteur to where traffic will not block you from exiting the complex in the morning if you are heading into the medical center (unlike Broadstone/Sterling across the street that often has trouble getting out).Other things I enjoy about the complex are two shaded parking garages, a concierge/locker system for packages (so it doesnt sit in front of your apartment), needing a key to enter the mail room, ample guest parking, and occasionally getting food trucks to set up on the property. Of note, the parking garages are spacious enough so that two cars can comfortably pass one another unlike some of the other complexes.Despite what some of the other users have said, the management has always been extremely friendly with me and gone out of their way to help me with anything I asked of them. They are easily accessible in the center building during business hours and it was always really easy to drop by and handle business with them.Id like to end this lengthy review by giving a huge shoutout to James, the head of property maintenance. He works incredibly hard to keep the Vintage in great shape and will always greet you with a hearty hello when he sees you. He would always change dying/dead lightbulbs and change my air filter even if my request had nothing to do with those things. I honestly think the apartment would not be the same without him and he deserves a raise! -

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT HERE!! Youll immediately love their ambiance and Spanish garden feel but theres so many great things to say about these apartments. The apartments are so diverse...layout options, carpeted or laminate, they even have efficiencies. Their short term leasing is not over priced like every apartment Ive stayed at. The apartments are spacious and unique, with small details that made it feel like home.Besides the beauty of this place, is something more important...the staff. Morgan, the manager, is very helpful. You can tell shes assertive when needed (you need that structure) but super understandingand goes above and beyond to answer questions or assist in any way. Then James the maintenance manager, he knows everyone by name and always has a smile and positive attitude. He would always offer help, I never had a service request take more than a day. This team made this the most memorable apartment my kids and I ever stayed at. Ive stayed at 3 different properties from the same company and The Vintage by far is the BEST!!! Thank you for making my last apartment stay, the greatest! -

We did not end up being residents of the apartments but I wanted to do a review on our tour experience.Seth was extremely professional and polite. He was patient throughout the tour and explained the process with us thoroughly. He showed us the units that were available and we were extremely satisfied! Even walking throughout the property it was very well kept. Quiet area as well. Our favorite thing about the property was the one way entrance and exit. Seth tool the time to ensure we got what we wanted for the best price. If you need a short term stay or even a long term, highly recommend! Ask for Seth! -

I stayed here with few if any issues with the administration. James was the maintenance chief and was a blessing in the greatest sense of the word to me, my roommate and everyone in the complex. He was responsive, caring, kind and hard-working. Ms. Leal was an administrative assistant at the leasing office that was kind and responsive as well. The pool was well-kept and provided a cool relief in summer months. The atmosphere of the complex was that of a cool getaway from the heat and hectic bustle of the medical center (they keep a nice landscaping and trees that offer shade and cooling when compared to more open and less foliated apartments). The first floors had an issue of lots of little crawling bugs getting in, but generally good pest control with available spot spraying when calling in and reporting appearance of cockroaches. The BIGGEST understated perk about this location was the general steal of having all the parking covered in two parking garages. The office space provided worked and was useful for smaller tasks and printing jobs and was an adequate study space when desired. The gym was sparse in offerings, but enough for me to get a good free weights and calisthenics work out in on occasion. The put-put green was nice to use on occasion, but nothing special. There were a string of mailbox break-ins while we lived there, but our mail was never affected and the front office staff was kind enough to dedicate their own closet as a package closet so that packages were never left at the doorstep/subject to stealing. Otherwise no major crime issues. The last consideration is the quality of the appliances: generally no major issues and when an issue did arise, James quickly took care of it without any cost to me. The aesthetic was generally older and not as “luxurious” as the new apartments in the area, but I know they were upgrading to stainless steel appliances and marble countertops, so you may benefit from that if you’re reading this now. The pricing obviously has gone up, but at the time my roommate and I paid an average $1250/month (not including internet, water, electricity) for a 2-bedroom apartment that was small for my roommate and spacious for me (master bedroom) and we had no major issues, as I said, over 4 years. -

I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the exceptional service provided by Seth, Meghan, and Vyanka at our office. Their unwavering commitment to providing outstanding service is truly remarkable, and I have complete confidence in their ability to exceed our expectations. James and Sam are also consummate professionals when it comes to maintenance requests. Their attention to detail and efficiency is truly impressive. -

Lived here for many years with my family, had a great experience and would make the same decision again. The crown jewel of this apartment complex is James the maintenance man. He was truly helpful anytime something came up and always went above and beyond to ensure my family was comfortable. He always has a positive attitude and does the right thing by the resident. My husband and I know we will never be ale to find staff like him who made living at the Vintage such a great experience. Our years at the Vintage will always be remembered as a piece of paradise. -

Review 11 (2018-11-26 - Rating: 5)
I’ve been living here for over three years, and have had a great experience. The property is well maintained and has lots of nice hanging ivy and a handful of palm trees. The inside of the apartment I have is large and has a very open layout with skylights and wood flooring.I saw another review that mentioned the lease has a clause that doesn’t allow residents to leave negative reviews, but I checked and double checked my current lease and those from years past and can’t find any verbiage about leaving reviews at all. Oh! And the maintenance person I know is a sweetheart. You can read more about him in the other reviews but he is a very respectable guy and really goes out of his way - once he noticed a light out while doing some routine work and he went ahead and replaced the bulb without me even needing to ask. Great place to live, and the garage parking is great -

I recently moved here from NYC, and though I have only been a resident for a little over a week I have already been impressed. I visited over 30 complexes in San Antonio before deciding on The Vintage.Beginning with what you get for your money (and bear in mind I am coming off of New York City rents, but…) this place by far is returning more on my rental investment than I expect any of the other places I evaluated would be. The property is well maintained and includes what some here would take as baseline but coming from NYC I considered to be “extra”, including: washer/dryer in unit, central air, modern appliances, balcony, daily trash pick-up directly outside my door, swimming pool, and covered parking (something I am already appreciative of considering the hail we just saw). The apartments are clean, spacious, and well laid out. And less expensive than anything else I found in its class. However, as a renter I know just how little the apartment and property amenities mean if the management staff is sub-par. While I haven’t had any issues yet to address, my transition from NYC to San Antonio was made all the easier thanks to the staff here (and worth calling out by name).Ali processed my application (not as straight forward as some applications) and went the extra mile to see it completed. She answered each and every one of my many (many) emails promptly, efficiently, and patiently. Friendly, professional, and clearly skilled beyond just being the first face you will see upon visiting—she not only understands the property inside and out, but has demonstrated a keen understanding of property management. Having dealt with both some of the worst and best management staff in NYC, Ali easily ranks higher than the best I have found to-date.James is so much more than “the maintenance guy”. He greets you by name and with a smile every time he sees you. We quickly found that we shared some of our backgrounds, having both lived in New York, and both ride motorcycles. James not only helped me with the specifics of how to get my bike inspected and registered here, but literally helped me take it down and out from the truck I shipped it in. And when he found me one morning working under it, he dropped to his knees and helped me complete the installation of some piping I was putting on it. The guy seems to be both tireless and infinitely passionate about making this place a pleasant stay for every resident.A company is only as good as its people. The Vintage already has quality reviews online, and I am feeling good about the decision I have made. But I hope the corporate office is paying attention to the successes they are proud of, and understands just how they occurred. I decided to sign my lease because of Ali and James. I hope that doesn’t go unnoticed by corporate. -

Santa Barbara: 2 bed, 2 bath, 1 assigned carport, 1 floating car passPros:- Prices are quite reasonable compared to the competition in the area- The staff is friendly and helpful- The layouts of the room are spacious- Very large kitchen, full-sized washer and dryer in-unit- Diverse, respectable, polite tenants for the most partCons:- Neighbors occasionally blast music at night- Parking is really the only major problem....very limited guest parking; there have been times where there was nowhere to park even with a floating car pass.Summary:The location is in a nice area close to the 10 freeway. There are many kids in the complex and the community feels like a safe place to raise a family. I would move in here again if the had the option and would recommend it to friends / family. -

Pluses: extremely convenient if you work at the Medical Center (and a discount on the rent); flexible lease programs; quiet; good security; beautifully landscaped; a commercial-grade parking garage; elevators; large windows providing great lighting for your apartment; so far very responsive maintenance. Minuses: the interiors are pretty dated (w/d issues right after move-in, older kitchen appliances, scuffed up floor boards and cabinets), really limited closet space compared to newly constructed apartment complexes. The apartment manager is forgetful and not particularly tech-savvy. Luckily theres Ali, who is the epitome of professionalism, efficiency, and just downright southern hospitality. (Hint, dear property owners: promote Ali to run the Vintage - shes the reason we didnt run for the hills after initially dealing with her boss...) -

I was going to rent an apt with The Vintage apts, so I was in contact with Genesis Rosano. It turned out that because of my husbands health that I had to cancel my request for an apt at the Vintage. Genesis was so professional and kind. She did everything possible to help me find the perfect apt. Then when I had to cancel she proceeded to continue to help me. I have lived at The Vintage before, and am so pleased that they have a top notch professional working in that apt complexShe went above and beyond to help me at this difficult time. Thank you so much Genesis. -

Lived at The Vintage for 3 years, mostly good experiences. Something they could improve on would be more cameras throughout the property, especially in parking garages due to increased car break-ins. Other than that, property was well maintained and James was always willing to go above and beyond for residents. Give that man a raise! -

I live here since June (6 months) and not a word to complain. I did all the arrangements by phone (coming from Canada) and read all reviews posted. My expectations were high and I was worried of taking a risk on a 1 year lease. My 2 bedroon is great, spacious, not new but very well mantained and the price is fair. The staff is always there for us, James is gentle and takes care of the services I request in my unit. Great place to leave, 10 min walk from the hospital and the UTHSCSA Long Campus. -

My job relocated me; however, my family is still at home because of my husbands job. So, I was a little concerned about finding the right place. The staff, especially Ali, has been outstanding. Ali went into detail with me about various apartments and options. She was professional and yet personable. Ali knew the premises as well as the surrounding area. Throughout the application process Ali was able to answer my questions and did not seem bothered by my interruptions. Thank you. I am excited to live here. Charlotte Payne -

Gorgeous place to live with lots of greenery and covered parking for all (important with all the hail SA keeps getting). There are condos and apartments and they are roomy and have great lighting. Maintenance is very responsive and friendly. Its no wonder there are usually not any openings, so if there is one, I recommend taking it -

Recently moved here from St. Louis and I must say that I was extremely pleased with the apartment. Ali and Christine were very helpful throughout and the process of applying for the apartment and throughout the stay. Nice gated community with plenty of covered parking. I would highly recommend this place. -
