    I toured Cortland Museum District and was very excited about the apartments and all the amenities . The manager Stephanie was very helpful as when l got there the leasing agent was out on a tour and Stephanie the manager decided to give me the tour and l’m sold on moving there soon. Also thanks to the maintenance Alex for offering me water as l waited, now that’s going over and beyond your job duties. Again Thanks Stephanie and Alex, see you all soon.

    My dog and I just moved into The Southmore, and we couldnt be happier with how welcoming and helpful the entire staff has been! Every time I walk into the lobby, Maggies warm smile makes me feel right at home. Ericka kept me in the loop during the move-in process, making all the paperwork seem so easy and clear. And an extra recognition to Stephanie, who made sure our move went smoothly and truly made us feel like part of the community.The apartment amenities are exceptional, and the location is prime. The public spaces are not only stunning but also feel like an extension of my apartment.We’re so grateful to be here!

    I recently toured Cortland in the museum district and absolutely loved it! The museums are within walking distance along with many restaurants and bars. Beautiful views, great amenities, and the staff was so friendly and accommodating.

    Being a resident at the Southmore has been an amazing experience. The building is always clean, smells like a hotel, and impresses all my friends and family who visit me. I cant say enough wonderful compliments about the staff who are courteous, professional, and truly go out their way to make the residents happy. This is one of the best apartments I have lived in.

    Ive lived at The Southmore Apartments for the past two years, and I must say, the recent changes under Cortlands new management have been fantastic! In just the past few weeks, Ive already noticed significant improvements. The communication from the team has been excellent, especially thanks to Maggie, who is always helpful and attentive. One of the biggest improvements Ive seen is the new system for handling mail and larger packages. Its been much more efficient, and I appreciate these necessary changes. Im looking forward to seeing what other upgrades are in store under the new management.

    My move-in experience was very fast and convenient, despite me moving in late at night. My apartment was beautiful and everything was maintained well. When I had questions shortly after moving in, a member of the leasing staff was easily contacted and answered my questions effectively. The valet service was also very helpful upon my move in. I was thankful for their assistance.

    I havent moved in yet so my experience is based solely off of my leasing experience. I worked with Rio mostly for the last 6 months and she was extremely patient and kind during the whole process. I had to make quite a few changes during my leasing process and she was always accommodating. I also would like to highlight Ashleigh and Gilbert who also made sure I got all the information I needed. So far, the entire leasing experience has been extremely positive and I cant wait to move in!

    I love this place! The location couldnt be more perfect next to downtown, the metro, and Hermann Park. Views are stunning. And the staff are so helpful and friendly. ❤️

    Have lived here for almost 3 years now and keep renewing my lease for a reason. The level of luxury living for the price cannot be beat. Management and staff very friendly and responsive. A lot of them live here so they know the issues and care about fixing them. Have never had issues with repair requests. Love the amenities. Great view of downtown from the pool. Very pet friendly. Great location 10 minute walk to Hermann park, right next to metro which is easy to take downtown, and close to TMC so perfect for healthcare professionals working there.

    This month will end my residency at The Southmore. As I reflect on the past 5 years of living here I have 0% compliants and it is my #1 recommendation for anyone looking at leasing in Houston. From having such a great concierge personnel like David to greet you and all the amenities I have felt the 5 star treatment during these last 5 years. Management is very attentive, as well as the maintenance department. I have hope but understand if none of the complex in Seattle can meet the excellent stay I had at the Southmore.

    Just moved in, exceptional service from Rio Henley. She guided us through the leasing process with clear communication and was always just a call or message away whenever we needed her. Despite being new to Southmore, she sought clarification on any unfamiliar aspects annd kept us informed and up-to-date. She is a great asset to the Southmore team and were so grateful for her outstanding service.

    My husband and I love living at the Southmore. The concierges are second to none. David, the morning concierge is extremely helpful and makes our lives so much easier. He’s very knowledgeable about the property and procedures. He’s always friendly and goes out of his way to help us with our packages or odd and end request. He’s a true asset to the Southmore.

    I’ve been living here since February and since then my experience has been amazing. The community is always well kept and the neighborhood is very walkable. Ariel at the front desk always greets everyone with a smile and is welcoming and personable. The downtown views from my apartment are 10/10! love calling The Southmore home.

    Update after 6 months of living here:Ive had an overall very positive experience living here. I love my apartment/the downtown views. The complex is kept very well maintained and clean - I often see the cleaning ladies in the morning. Management and concierge are super responsive/helpful.     Being a foreigner and renting an apartment for the first time, there are numerous differences in leasing culture and lifestyle habits. Im thankful for Ariel; she has assisted me greatly. She patiently addressed my questions, and when I didnt understand some things, she would email me so I could use translation software to convert it into my native language. As a result, I managed to complete all the rental procedures in a very short period of time. It has been an excellent experience.

    We have just moved in to this fantastic building (after a horrific experience at the last apartment building we lived at). From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the Assistant Manager, Meaghan who made us feel right at home. She listened to what we were looking for and showed us three impeccable apartments - any of which would have been perfect. We both felt that Meaghan really engaged with us and gave careful thought to our requirements and tailored her tour to meet our needs.Once we made a decision to proceed, Meaghan did an outstanding job of ensuring that the transition from the complete catastrophe of our last building to our beautiful new home here at the Southmore was absolutely seamless. There was not one thing that Meaghan didnt think of or have under control.The Southmore is a beautiful building that is immaculately maintained with a real attention to detail. It has a very European feel to it - I almost feel like I am on holiday when I walk into the lobby which would not be out of place in an upscale hotel in London. The amenities are second to none (fantastic gym, pool, tv room, wine bar, pocket park, concierge and valet) and the other residents are a good age range and mostly professional types who are in the know about this gem of a location. We looked at a number of different buildings all around Houston before selecting the Southmore and you wont find a better building or value proposition out there.Im absolutely thrilled that the Southmore is our new home and I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you are thinking of making it your new home, dont hesitate! You will absolutely love it.

    My wife and I have recently moved into The Southmore and we couldnt be happier. After a negative experience with in another premium building in Houston I was very particular about our choice for our next apartment. My wife and I toured a significant number of other buildings looking for our new home and I can honestly say that this was the clear winner on all fronts.One thing I really appreciate about the Southmore is that I know that when I have finished a busy day at work, I will be coming home to somewhere incredibly calm. My wife calls this building an oasis of tranquility and shes right. The common spaces, including the residents only park are peaceful and the neighborhood is fantastic. The apartments are light, bright and have generous amounts of space. Incredibly (for once!) the walk in robe actually fits my wifes clothes and has room left over for mine (Im used to being relegated to a wardrobe in a guest bedroom!!).Colleagues and friends who have visited us here are all envious of both our apartment and the high quality amenities. One work colleague told me that he didnt know places like this existed in Houston. Im not sure whether he was talking about the amenities or the overall feeling of a retreat from the madness that so many of us Houstonians are looking for!The staff is exceptional and go out of their way to assist you with anything you need. Overall, I cannot recommend this building highly enough.

    Ive lived at the Southmore for almost 3 years and have loved it! Its a beautiful building with great views. During the pandemic, the building has been following safety guidelines and most of the residents seem to respect the guidelines while in public areas. The staff is even bringing packages to your door for contactless delivery! They also host fun grab-and-go events. The concierge, David, is incredibly accommodating and diligent. David is quick to resolve a situation where others drop the ball. Hes great with my doggo too! The maintenance team is also very friendly and timely in response to service requests.

    Had great experience in Southmore building... beside the location close to park and Rice university, staff are amazing... We had the experience of working with Kristen Moeglein and David in recent electricity and water outage. Both were super helpful with providing all they can to make it more comfortable for residents. Honestly I go directly to them every time with any building issues.

    A very classy place with great amenities. The floor planning is spacious and well thought out with great views of the city. Theyve certainly had some challenges, such as water cuts, maintenance and of course COVID. However the current management team do thier best to accommodate the residents needs.A special thanks to Dave our gentlemen concierge who always goes out of his way to help. I consider him a professional, courteous and hardworking. Thanks ma man.

    The Southmore is a hidden retreat. The property is chic and gorgeous, the staff is amazing! The neighborhood restaurants which are walking distance are fabulous!     Most responsive and personable building management staff I’ve ever encountered as far as apartment complexes go. I love the clean modern look of the apartments (and the complex in general). Has all the amenities one might expect from a luxury high-rise.

    The ambience is good and they are quick to serve the food. We ordered the baos and they were amazing. Cauliflower okonomiyaki and K-fries weren’t that great. Among the mains, we tried the Dan Dan noodles and the eggplant Katsu. The noodles were OK but the Japanese curry in the Katsu was great. The lemon trifle for the dessert was pretty good too. The right level of lemon-y!

    My wife and I have a magnificent tour from Patrick this passed week. From his education, his flow and easy going style, he lead us from unit to unit with an impressive crescendo.     Ive lived at Southmore (Cortland Museum District) for roughly a year, and during that time, the management changed to Cortland. Ive been impressed with how quickly they fix small issues around my unit. Kenny, in particular, is a spectacular member of the team who is always friendly, professional, and thorough in his work. My dog even loves him!Furthermore, when Cortland took over, the previous management left some issues not initially brought to light (especially building plumbing). The unit manager, Stephanie, ensured this was looked into regardless of holidays, bad weather (we had an actual snow day in Houston this year), and around-the-clock. She followed up and saw the issue through till it was resolved.Maintenance issues are a natural part of living in any apartment or home, but Cortlands timely and professional response to these issues really showcases its character. Im looking forward to renewing my lease!
