This is my second year living at the Leonard and I already resigned my lease for next year. It is the cheapest and one of the best quality apartments in my opinion. We had some issues about the dishwasher, washing machine, lights, etc. and the maintenance was so quick with them. The staff is super friendly. My only complaint is about the size of my room. I live in a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom apartment with two other roommates and my room is the smallest compared to my roommates. I get my own bathroom which is why the size of my room is not that big of an issue for me, considering how close it is to campus and the price. Overall, I really like this place, never really had issues with them. If you’re looking for cheaper student living, I’d recommend this place!

This was my first year at the leonard and I am really enjoying my stay, I already resigned for the next year! My apartment feels homey and the community is so welcoming and friendly! The pool area and lounge room are always kept clean and stocked, which is always a plus. Sign a lease here!

From the outside, I didnt expect much, and I got the impression that it was dirty. However, after spending time there for two years, Ive come to love the place. Ive had a 4x2 bedroom, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms.Entering the apartment, having fobs is pretty convenient and nicer than having keys, in my opinion, as you dont have to worry about which way it fits into the lock. The door also has a blind deadbolt that can be locked from the inside but not unlocked from the outside. This can be both good and bad, as your roommates can lock you out, but for those wanting extra safety, its a nice feature.Going inside, youll find an incredibly spacious layout thats pretty easy to rearrange things as you please, with a three-person couch and a single person couch, which has a TV thats just ok, a Roku, a TV stand, coffee table, and a smaller coffee table that goes next to the couch. In the middle of the living room of a 4x2 is the laundry room. It didnt look great, but it was never really an issue for me. Plenty of racks for storage and floor space as well. The only issues were that the dryer was pretty loud, and the door had to be closed, but due to the size, the dryer had to be at an angle, otherwise, the door wouldnt open/close. However, it was never a big issue that we were locked out of the laundry room. Lastly, the wi-fi router is there as well. I found it to be pretty good overall, but not as a competitive gamer. It was mostly ok otherwise.The kitchen is one of the best features of the apartment, having lots of countertop space to work with, with the dining room being very close due to the open floor plan. Lots of space, and it is easily accessible when cooking. Additionally, it comes with a large sink, which may not be better than the dual sinks for thawing meat, but I found it to be more convenient for everything else. It also has a spray feature on the faucet, which is convenient.The rooms, while having a strange layout, are very spacious and comfortable, having carpeted floors, a door that can lock, a rather spacious closet for what I needed, a rack in the closet, a raised bed to store things under, a desk, chair, and a drawer that can neatly fit under the bed as well. Its easy to organize and decorate the room.The hallways to the bathroom and bedroom also had a door that you could lock. There is a large mirror with two sinks, a side medicine cabinet mirror for extra storage, and some space beneath the sinks as well, so theres plenty of space in the bathroom. The bathroom itself isnt spacious, but its fine. The tub is built into the wall and functions as a shower as well. The water and pressure of it are great, but it doesnt come with shower curtains.Some features were the pool, grill, and gym, but they werent amenities I used often, so I cant say much about them.Lastly, the best feature is the maintenance amenities. The landlord is a great person, and talking to much of the staff, they are very understanding and helpful to us. The lead maintenance guy, Wade, was the best. Always would come in with a cheerful attitude and always made sure that everything worked after he was done. He would even teach us how to take care of the apartment better and was always reassuring to see him. Weve had some issues at the apartment, and the staff would always do their best to help us get them resolved.The last amenity is that the Bus stops were very helpful here. The bus comes around here every 15-30 minutes, depending on the day, time of day, and how many buses are currently out.Overall, it was a great place. Would have rated it higher though if it looked better on the outside as well, because when I first came here to look at the place, I had initially written it off because it wasnt in great condition. But when I left in July 2024, they were making great progress to make the place look better. It was a great place for a low price, but I left because they were bumping up the price. Would live here again if the prices were lower.

The apartments are clean and modern, and the staff is friendly and quick to help with any concerns. The amenities are great, and there’s a strong sense of community. The leasing office staff are always very helpful. Anything you need they’re always there for you and they respond very fast. The maintenance is also very fast. They literally come the next day when you put in a work order which I really appreciate. this is my second year living here and I’ve had no problems ever. I think it’s a great place to live. The amenities are great the furniture is good, and it’s a nice place overall. Very appreciative !!!

Apartments are fairly spacious, and the complex has been helpful at resolving any issues! The leasing and maintenance staff are THE best staff I have ever had at any apartments. Theyre really friendly, they remember my name, at this point they just see me walking up to their door and already have my packages ready for me because they know who I am. Ive never had a staff do so much to get to know me personally. Truly the coolest people. Their maintenance is also REALLY quick and they fix stuff fast! They even switched out our old couch for a new one because the previous tenants wrecked the old one, but the new couch is basically brand new looking. I also feel comfortable to be upfront about my apartment-living issues now compared to the past complexes Ive lived in because they really do work with you and they CARE. I really want to stay here honestly because you really cannot find a staff as genuine as them. Thank yall so much Leo staff!!!

Living in this apartment complex for a year has been a generally positive experience. The location is convenient, with easy access to public transportation and nearby amenities. The maintenance team is prompt and efficient, addressing issues quickly. The community atmosphere is friendly, and the amenities, such as the fitness center and communal spaces, are well-maintained. However, occasional noise from neighboring units can be a drawback, and parking can be challenging during peak hours. Overall, its been a comfortable and enjoyable year, and I appreciate the managements efforts to create a pleasant living environment.

I have lived here since august and any issues i may have had, were fixed within the day, (or the next depending on the day),i’ve had no issues with any appliances not working or anything having a major break. my room was clean when i moved in but the AC wasn’t working but that was fixed within a few days! i don’t have anything bad to say about this place! (it’s also extremely convenient that the bus stops at the top of the entrance!)

I’m loving the Leonard in general, but especially around Christmas time. Everything is so clean and well decorated. There is fun Christmas events where you can meet people. Most importantly, the staff has been so patient and helpful as I have bombarded them with packages while ordering all of my Christmas gifts! Me and all of my roommates love being able to call the Leonard our home!

The property made a fantastic first impression with its fresh modern look at reasonable pricing for students to transition from dorm life. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and maintenance is quick to respond every time. The bus stop right outside the complex takes you straight to UNT campus making it great for students. If you’re a student looking for affordable housing, quality staff, and a fun atmosphere we really recommend it!:)

Honestly, this place is super affordable to live compared to the surrounding areas. I cant speak for others but I really love my roommates and Im glad I was given this opportunity to meet them. Ive lived here for a year and just re-leased and this has been my experience. I do recommend this place for the decent pricing and its not a terrible place to live. The office is attentive and has a lot of fun events and the maintenance is quick most of the time. Although when I first moved in, there was a terrible roach infestation and took 3 exterminations to completely get rid of them after about 3 or 4 months. Since then we haven’t had a roach since. This looks like a gated apartment but the gate has never worked since I moved in so don’t rely on that. The apartments have pretty thick walls so I rarely ever hear my neighbors. The pool and gym is nice and always open. They have computers in the rec room, printer and a starbucks coffee machine. All in all 4/5, definitely one of the best denton apartments with decent pricing.

Move in was great and smooth, the staff was super friendly, but i had make a lot of maintenance requests for my room and apartment as i have a broken closet door, a table with adhesive residue on it which makes it unusable etc. hopefully everything gets replaced and fixed, i’ll update how it all goes by the end of my lease!

She was very knowledgeable of the property and was more than happy to answer all of our questions, even after her working hours. You can tell she’s very dedicated to giving potential residents a positive experience.If you ever need anything Ruthie is the one to call! I can’t rave about her enough. I lived at Castlerock for a full year and loved it!! The staff is so welcoming and kind. They never failed to help me solve my issues and all of my maintenance requests were fulfilled within three days! I am at a new apartment now and can say the way they treat their residents is unmatched, I wish I would have resigned. Be sure to attend their community events, they work hard to put them together and you get to make friends and get free goodies!

This place is lowkey gas. The staff here are so nice, sweet, and caring. Whenever I needed something fixed or just had a question they answered it and got it done really fast. The only thing I would say is a downside would just be the WiFi. The WiFi is kinda of slow which you can see is a problem with needing it for school and such but has gotten better through my year living here. I definitely recommend overall a great place to live!!

My friend lives at the Forum across the street and her bed is so uncomfy.

I stayed there the better part of 2 years and what do I have to say about it? Well, it was a great experience!The apartments are about what you would expect from student housing. The leonard is the best place ive ever lived. ive had to put in a few maintenance requests and they always come to fix it the very next day, the staff is always attentive of our needs, and they do giveaways, who doesnt love a good giveaway! i recommend the leonard to all my friends

Whenever the winter storm hit, me and my roommates heater stopped working and the maintenance team and leasing manger I believe name is Autumn was able to help us get relocated while the pipes were fixed. I want to say me and my roommates are thankful for helping us relocated even though it wasn’t an legal obligation! So I’m leaving this review, in addition I also noticed the front office were pushing cars up the hill during the winter storm so that cars could make it up the hill at the entrance. Actions speak louder than words, being able to freely eat my muffin with our new heater feels amazing !

Conveniently located near UNT and TWU, this complex offers a variety of amenities that are worth what you pay for. The rates are definitely affordable and benefits those who are trying to save money. Upon move in day, a particular staff member was not too keen on helping my roommates and I with an issue regarding our apartment. First impressions go a long way and seeing that prioritizing our safety was an inconvenience to this member of staff was a bit discouraging, however, that didn’t keep us from having a successful move in day. Leasing manager Autumn was very courteous and was working very very hard that day to ensure everything ran smoothly. Ruthie was very upbeat despite the constant moving around during high temperatures and ensured us a successful move in by answering all of our questions & directing us to appropriate staff for help. 4/5 stars overall!

Okay, so Ive been here at CastleRock for about a year and honestly I havent had any problems living here. The new management is really nice and helpful when I need something. The new renovations are quite nice as well. They are upgrading a lot of the amenities and apartments as well. I do have to say when I moved in there was a few things in my apartment that caught my eye such as a stain on my carpet but that was with the old management and owners so I cant really blame that on CastleRock. Anyways, Ive enjoyed living here and never been bothered. Overall it is a great community for students looking for somewhere with reasonable pricing. I see lots of positive changes!

I am living here from June 2018 and I am happy staying here and no complaints. Firstly they are very helpful with your queries, everyone at the front desk. Secondly they are reasonably priced when compared to the apartment complexes near by and there is transparency of every penny you pay them and it is well maintained on their system. Third, any of the maintenance issues that I reported have been handled the very first day of the complaint being registered on portal. Even though they have a window frame of 48 hours to take action, they just do it instantly. Finally from my personal experience Snow had gone beyond normal leasing offices to help me out with mailing some papers to me when I was abroad as I needed those papers urgently. Darrian has been helpful with all my queries always from day one I moved. Also everyone else at the front desk is always cheerful. So I would say if you looking for an affordable, friendly place, please go for this one.

There are so many options in Denton, but she really made this place stand out for me. I have 2 daughters that are living at Castlerock. This property is very beautiful. They have a few flaws but the staff is exceptional and always makes sure that they take care any issues quickly. I am very happy we chose this property over all the others. They care about their residents, the other properties we toured were out of touch and stuck up and did not make me feel confident my girls would be safe thier. The Castlerock Staff went above and beyond in making us feel comfortable with everything every step of the way. I definitely recommend this place.

I was a resident at Campus park before the new owners. It was the worst experience I have ever had with renting an apartment. They were rude, the apartments had bedbugs, and we were given a psycho roommate. As soon as Castle Rock took over they listened for the first time to everything I was dealing with and were very kind. They fixed all of the problems immediately and have given the whole apartment complex brand new memory foam mattresses, new floors and appliances and lighting. It is a completely different and better experience.

Castle Rock at Denton is an amazing apartment complex that is very affordable for what you are getting! The rooms are nice sizes and the apartment complex offers tons of amenities for their residents. The main office staff is amazing as I was helped my Gage, Arianna, and the main manager Oscar. They were very good at answering my questions as I had them and making me feel at home before I even moved in! I highly recommend moving here if you looking for a place to stay that is student living and connected to the UNT bus shuttle!

Castlerock is great for the price and a first apartment. Pre-furnished, they always did maintenance, and nice amenities. I occasionally saw some roaches, but what are you gonna do for so cheap? I have really enjoyed living here, the apartments are nice, fully furnished with new appliances, plus i enjoy the free internet and cable, they even give each apartment an Apple TV. I live in a three bed room unit so i have my own bathroom and if you have lived on campus you understand how awesome it is to have you very own bathroom. Another plus is that Im able to print free in the lounge area that has its own computers and WiFi so i can pretty much do everything in my apartments that I can on campus. Its a pretty sweet deal, i mean theres a lot more I could say about this place. In my opinion With everything they offer and even the things I didnt even mention, the rent rate in pretty reasonable. Overall Really good living experience.

I love living here. Its close to campus and the staff are really friendly. They are always giving things away whether its electronics, beats headphones, or gift cards. I estimate about 20 gift cards every 1 to 2 months. Since living here I have won a samsung galaxy 3, and about 6 gift cards.

I give Castlerock 4 stars out of 5, I have 2 months left in my lease and in my experience it hasnt been bad at all. Price wise its one of the cheapest around for what you get. Rent every month is a little different depending on how much you use your water/electricity but its not too bad, my roommates and I would probably spend ($20-$40) extra every month for utilities. Management is good, never had a problem with them, Darrian was always really nice. The reason I didnt give Castlerock the last star was because the apartment unit seems to be falling apart in little areas, the gym could be better, and the towing kinda sucks but this is understandable except the other two. Overall, for the price it is not bad, theres also a bus stop in front of Castlerock that takes you to UNT, which is a plus.
