    I’ve toured a lot of places in Dallas, but I am glad this was my final pick. The complex is beautiful, the workers are nice, and the place is pleasantly quiet. Gabby gave me a tour around the place and was able to answer all my questions and concerns. She was willing to take extra time to go over all my questions and made me feel comfortable about picking this as my home. Management is also very helpful. They are quick to respond and always have a solution. Highly recommend this location

    Weve been living here for almost 2 years (this June) and still enjoy it.Office management has gotten better. During our first year we had to deal with intentionally disrespectful upstairs neighbors (poured cleaning water and dogs feces from their balcony and knew it was landing on ours but continued to do it). The first office team did nothing. The following office team really took the time to listen to us and addressed it aggressively. The newest team helped us out with the mailbox issue (someone was opening up all the front panels with a skeleton key, and the new locks impeded us from opening our personal box).The apartments are beautiful externally and internally, and the pricing is really competitive for this area. Speaking for J units, they have high ceilings, crown molding, a functional fireplace and a nice floorplan. The color of the walls is a neutral light grey. There are plenty of big windows to let in natural lighting. There’s also plenty of closet space. The water heats up quickly from the faucets. Heating and cooling work well. The rooms are nice sizes. So is the balcony (much larger than the average apartment balcony). Theres an alarm system in the unit for extra security.For the most part, the complex is quiet (cant avoid neighborly noises from time to time). People usually pick up after their dogs. The pools get cleaned fairly regularly (they were just redone), and the foliage is trimmed routinely. Maintenance support and valet trash collection is dependable. ***They have a recycling system in place***. The gym is ok though the soap dispensers arent refilled often enough, and I think were missing some dumbbells. The gate system works occasionally. Unfortunately, the sauna hasnt worked since weve been here. Garbage is collected often; sometimes it gets overfilled but every bit is consistently taken away. Weve never had parking issues.

    Ive been a residence here since 2016,and the services from leasing agents to maintenance has been very sufficient throughout the ice storm and even C.O.V.I.D. my interactions with the personal here has been far and beyond expatations.     I have lived here for 7 yrs. And love the space and the people. They are always improving, great communication. They are always trying to make sure maintenance is done in a timely way and done well. Our manager right now Ms. Kai is very personal and looking to care for the residents. I love her. Thank you The Dorchester, we will only be moving out when we get our new home...we love renting g here.

    I had the pleasure of touring an apartment with Gabby, and I couldn’t be more impressed with her service! From the moment we met, Gabby was welcoming, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient. She took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure I had all the information I needed. Gabby’s professionalism and attention to detail really stood out, and she made the entire process smooth and enjoyable.     The ladies in the office are very friendly and always willing to to assist you in any way. I have the upmost respect for Kye & Jasmine because they always go above and beyond to make sure that my issues are resolved. I’ve seen a lot of changes with property management come and go, but with them working in the office The Dorchester is so much better place to live. Kudos… Much love ❤️

    I loved my apartment at theDorchester, however, I recently moved to Austin. It was so hard for me to find a place in Austin because I wished I could bring the whole complex and Management with me.I will miss everyone at the Dorchesther...     Being a resident at Dorchester for two years was an enjoyable experience. The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day by friendly, courteous workers. The workout room is excellent and is rarely crowded, and the pool area is lovely. I love the convenience of using the covered parking garage and covered parking spaces with no parking restrictions. The maintenance and office staff are always friendly and quick to respond to such issues, my experience with the current property manager Marilyn has been nothing short of awesome. She’s always friendly and makes residence feel welcome. I have loved my time here and will always recommend Dorchester to others.

    I moved here October 2017 and choosing the Dorchester was the best decision during my apartment search. From the moment I toured the complex, the staff (Especially Randall) made me feel super welcome! The model floor plan that I was interested in was not available when I toured, but Randall told me it would be available in a few days and I can check it out then. As promised, I came back that day it was available and was able to see the room. I mention this because at another apartment complex, they told me they had a room available for me to view, when I arrived the very next day, it wasnt available - and apparently hadnt been available in quite some time. They didnt keep their word, which left a bad impression on me.After about 7 months now, I can definitely say that I will be living here long term. The community events are so cool! We even have pizza at the (entrance) gate every so often! Its nice to drive in after a long day, and get a $5 pie while still in my car!! All of the staff members that Ive encountered are the best!! Caryn and Randall are just great, incredibly helpful and very personable!! I always get a friendly wave and smile from the maintenance person when he drives by in his golf cart. I know if I ever need anything, they are on top of it!! I bought a ceiling light fixture for my living room and their maintenance person installed it for me! Any maintenance requests that I request (which arent a lot), are resolved so fast!! The neighborhood is quiet. I rarely hear my neighbors and they communicate information very well to us residence. I simply enjoy living here!***UPDATE: September 5, 2019***I’m no longer a resident anymore - moved to be closer to work (75 and I just couldn’t compromise anymore lol). And I wanted to extend my gratitude for a great living experience!! They kept me safe, handled any of my maintenance requests so quickly and effortlessly. Thank you again Caryn, Randall and Aldo!! That’s one hard working team!!

    I lived in the Dorchester Apartments for 13 years, wow, I could have purchased a house within that time frame! I moved out in 2018 and now live in Deep Ellum. However, my experience was great to say the least. In 13 years, I never had an issue with pests, plumbing, break ins, etc. My microwave didnt work for 1 month during that time span and I had to wait for a replacement which resulted in me having to cook everything (was probably a good thing now looking back), but other than that, no issues. When I moved out, my apartment looked like it had been lived in for 13 years. I had a cleaning crew come and clean it, but needles to say it wasnt in the best condition. Well, I still received my full deposit back from them. Staff was always nice and attentive. The only thing I could say is that the weight room could use some updating, but overall I had a great experience living there and I made some great memories! Kudos to the Staff!

    The manager and management staff were very accommodating and responsive to my needs. Much more organized with higher quality service than the previous places I’ve lived. Plus, my maintenance issues were fixed in the same day they occurred. The apartment complex is also very nice and in a great location. Highly recommend.

    My husband and I have been leasing for 2 years and we have loved our experience! There are obviously pros and cons to anywhere, but there are more positives than negatives at The Dorchester. We love the neighborhood of North Dallas, and The Dorchester has the best leasing prices for being in the city! We cant say enough wonderful things about the front office staff. Randall and Caryn are simply the best! They take care of anything we need and are incredibly speedy with their responses to us. They make us feel right at home- we couldnt have asked for a more friendly and inviting leasing agent and property manager.Specifics about the property- the gym is fully functioning and you get a lot more than the usual apartment gym, racketball court is an awesome addition. The pool is great! Usually never busy and they just added new chairs/tables and outdoor couches. The community as a whole is very quiet- weve never had any noise problems. Maintenance gets things done pretty quickly- we needed our dishwasher replaced and they had it happening the very next day- and the entire maintenance staff is very friendly! Always stopping to say hi and want to chat and get to know you.Now as for cons- the parking is a little bit of a mess. The spaces are rather small and fill up quickly. There could be more evening lighting- when coming or going late/early its a little too dark for my personal comfort.For a gated community within Dallas city limits, next to a mall and a huge restaurant corner, you honestly cant get better than The Dorchester. I would highly recommend for anyone to live here!

    Moved in February first. Had to have a couple of work orders done prior to move in and shortly after. All have been addressed promptly. Only issues were the foot prints and litter left on the bed while working on the ceiling fan and for some reason, my Fridge door was left open.?????I loved my place for the 1st month or so, but then the upstairs neighbor from H#!! moved in. I spoke w/ them about the noise and it got worse. I spoke w/ management about the issue and they indicated that they spoke with the neighbors as well.....it has gotten worse.If anyone out there has any suggestions on how to deal with noisy neighbors, it would be greatly appreciated.Otherwise for the space, location and condition of the apartment, the price is spot on. The one negative that I do have is about the parking! Some of the spaces are not wide enough for a vehicle...so it starts a domino affect of people parking across lines, guest park in the lower level of the garage and until recently, the garage was littered with non running cars until, thankfully Brittney had them removed.If not for the identified shortcomings above, definitely a 5 ALL DAY!!!

    I have lived at The Dorchester for nearly a year now. I have to say that I have lived at several apartment complexes over the years, but this is by far THE BEST apartment dwelling experience I have had. From day one, I have been extremely impressed with the staff and the way they care for and about their tenants. Randall and Corinne will just about bend over backward to make sure that the people living here are happy with their experience.Randall and Corinne are very attuned to the needs of the tenants. They routinely go out of their way to make sure your experience living here is comfortable. The customer service they provide is beyond reproach. They always greet you with a smile and even with the number of people living here, they know not only your name, but your apartment number. They are fantastic!The only drawback here is the parking. While some have complained that it is the size of the parking spaces and in some areas that is true. Mostly, it is tenants who are inconsiderate that refuse to keep their parking between the lines.

    My fiancé and I moved into this complex about a month ago and have really fallen in love with it. The staff has been more than pleasant and caring about the few items we’ve had to have done to make our home perfect. They respond quick and genuinely want to make sure you are having the best living experience possible. We read that parking may be an issue on other reviews but have not had any problems. The location is phenomenal and the tenants are friendly. Grateful to have found The Dorchester apartments.

    The Dorchester is easily the best managed apartment I have lived in. They take care of your issues promptly and the staff is very friendly, especially Randall and Karin. I got a great deal when I moved in and I look forward to coming home everyday. The spacious bathtub is a gamechanger for me. Parking is the only downfall (the spaces around the complex are small), but for me, I just park in the communal garage on site and Im good. Youll enjoy your stay!

    My fiance and I have lived here for 2 years, and if we werent moving out of state we would continue to stay here. Randall is a doll! He is always happy and welcoming, and knows pretty much every tenant by name! Caryn is always super helpful, and quick to assist with anything you need. They are also pet friendly, and have treats in the office for your fur babies. Maintenance respond quick to anything that needs to be fixed. Grounds are clean, and neighbors are friendly. The gym is always available for use, and is spacious. The only thing that is a pain is the parking. Overall I would recommend this place!

    This staff has by far been the best leasing office I have ever had to deal with. They are super helpful and friendly, and are always around when I need them. Randall especially has been helpful and I actually look forward to the times when I have to go to the leasing office just so that I can have a conversation with him. I have been a resident here with my boyfriend for about two years, and we have never had any trouble. Maintenance is quick and very efficient (jaw dropping, I know). I have been so impressed with how well they have kept up with the demands of the place. I also love that I am within walking distance or a 5-10 minute drive of everywhere I need to go. My only complaint is the parking spaces. They are SUPER narrow which makes parking an interesting experience. But there is a parking garage that is pretty well centrally located in the complex so that certainly helps. Overall, I would DEFINITELY recommend this complex to anyone looking in the area. They do a couple of different parties a year (one in the summer and one in the winter) and give out prizes and cater in food. I was really impressed by this because in my old complex I was just a rent check and they couldnt have cared less. I give this place two thumbs up!

    My husband and I lived at the dorchester for the last 2.5 years. We had a great experience. We worked with Randal to sign our lease and he was a wonderful asset the rest of our stay at the Dorchester. We only left, because we purchased a home. Corrine - the leasing office manager, was great too! She always had a smile on her face and helped with any questions and concerns we had. In our two+ years of living there, we came across multiple leasing agents and they all were wonderful people. Samantha is also so sweet and great to work with! The location is great too! Super close to the Galleria, yet quiet. Also, only 15 minutes into downtown. Thanks for the last 2.5 years, Dorchester!!

    I have lived here for almost 2 years and have really enjoyed it. I love the updates to the gym and the new valet trash service! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Maintenance always completes work promptly and thoroughly. Apartment is cozy and just enough space for me :) Also, very convenient location to a lot of restaurants and highways to get around town!!

    My wife and I lived here the last 2 years and thoroughly enjoyed it. Randall helped us our first day on the property and him, Kirin, Samantha, and the rest of the staff have always been so helpful.The property is from the early 90s so there are small imperfections here and there which are all expected, but if you’re looking for a staff that is very responsive and caring combined with a location that is hard to beat, this is the place for you.Thank you so much to Randall and everyone else for being so helpful the last couple years!

    The Dorchester is a great place to live! My husband and I lived there for 2 years and relocated to Austin so we moved out last month. Randall is SO awesome to work with! It truly makes a difference when you feel that the management cares about the residents, which is what we felt from all staff in the office. The area is nice and well kept, and the community does not feel like it is in a busy part of town. We recommend The Dorchester because you get great management along with an awesome apartment!

    My husband and I have lived here for almost one year now, and have had a really great experience. We have had very few maintenance issues, all of which were taken care of very promptly and professionally. (Thank you Jose and Aldo!). The staff is always courteous and even know us by name! There are beautiful trees that we love on the property, and although some people have had parking issues, I really havent had too much trouble, even coming after 10:00pm. Over all I would strongly recommend this place to anyone!

    I moved into the Dorchester Apartments 5 months ago, and I absolutely love it!!!! The complex is very well maintained, the facilities are wonderful, and the staff are very kind. I havent run into a single issue since I moved here - with the leasing office, with my neighbors, or with the apartment itself.Mr. Randall and the rest of the staff, are always going out of their way to help and they go above and beyond to make sure that the residents are happy.     The location is great, right by the tollway, close to sprouts, walmart, best buy, restaurants etc. Maintenance was quick to fix any issues we had and pleasant. I cant say enough nice things about Caryn and Randall in the leasing office, they rock! Overall I had a good experience living here. Parking spots may be a bit small but they are free, also compared to the other apt complexes in the area, the price and quality is better.

    I moved to the Dorchester in September 17 and the staff couldnt have been more helpful or accommodating. I had a short relocation window and ended up having to make most of the arrangements from out of state. Whenever I called asking for help or assistance I never got the no, do it yourself reply one would expect. They were all about helping me out and helping to make my transition and relocation as easy and painless as possible.Since Ive been here its been great. The staff has been super friendly and always willing to help out. They all know my name when they see me and are always ready with a kind word or a how can I help you, today question. The apartment was fresh and clean when I moved in and the few maintenance needs I had were quickly addressed and taken care of. The location is great. Close to the Toll Way, Addison Circle, Vitruvian Park, Village on the Parkway, and other hot spots in Far North Dallas, I am never at a loss for places to go or things to do.The one downside to the Dorchester is the parking. Many of the spaces are pretty tight and the covered spaces are limited and first come, first served. But, there is a covered parking garage with larger spaces right in the middle of the complex. I find myself parking there by default more often lately and I certainly dont mind the short walk to my apartment for a covered, larger parking space. If I wanted one, I could also get a private garage near my unit.Overall I am very satisfied with the community, the location and the staff. I would recommend it anyone looking to be in the Far North Dallas area.

    I spent months looking for the perfect apartment, a space that felt more like a home than an apartment. Finally, I found the Dorchester. The floor plans are amazing - my unit includes a fireplace, bay window in the dining room (10 windows in all), garden tub, and a full sized washer and dryer - things I could not find in newer, and much pricier apartments. The location, near the Galleria, is great, and I cant say enough about the office, especially Randall, Corrine, and Jessica, who were all super helpful and made the whole application/move-in process so easy. I highly recommend!

    Current resident here. I love that the Dorchester offers full sized W&Ds, spacious floor plans, and over sized tubs for a reasonable price. I knew I wanted to live closer to work, preferably walking distance so Im happy I found this place. The parking spaces are pretty tiny so you have to be a little more considerate when you park and coming home late at night may be dicey but the top of the parking garage seems to always have some open. Management staff is pretty responsive and helpful. I moved in a few weeks ago and every issue that I have pointed out has been taken care of. I have seen a couple water bugs in my kitchen which I pointed out to the staff. I was told that they like to come up drains after in rains so after she told me that I made sure my sink drains were blocked at night and I stopped leaving dirty dishes in the sink. I also purchased Orange Guard which is a non toxic repellent which is very helpful if you have pets or children and dont want to spray poison around them. I spray it under my cabinets and in any crack and crevice I see. Since then, I have not seen any critter in my kitchen. I did see a water bug on my bedroom wall and I realized it probably came out of the vent. Thanks to the internet I was able to educate myself on these pests. But it had just rained and I know that bugs travel upwards to avoid being washed away by the rain. I went ahead and sprayed Orange Guard into the air vent and I havent seen anymore. So all in all, the good definitely outweighs the bad. Location and price are great for me. The pests are a little jarring for me but prevention is key in apartment living!

    My fiance and I started our search for an apartment early, so we could get a head start. We looked at over 10 apartments and non were as helpful as The Dorchester. The staff was so responsive in answering our questions, and I especially have to thank Randall for the great job of getting us started. At other complexes, they wanted only to show us to one room and to get us out, or were not even interested in trying to help us. When we showed up at The Dorchester, Randall sat down with us, listened to what we were looking for and showed us our options, plus the two specific layouts we were looking at. After that, not only did he take us to see a model of the floor plan we really liked, but he showed us around the complex, all the amenities, and answering all of our questions. The Staff at The Dorchester are always so happy, and Randall is so kind, which just made the experience that much better. This is my fiances and Is first apartment together, and I could not have been happier with our decision. Through our time living here so far, the staff has continued to assist us in all of our needs, which continues to make us so happy with our decision. I would recommend anyone who is looking for an apartment in this area, to definitely look at The Dorchester, and you can ask for any of the staff, I just letting you know that I worked with Randall for most of our process and he was just amazing!!

    I have only lived here a month, but so far, I am very happy!!!The staff at the office are always helpful, pleasant, and kind. They offered to print out my resume for me as I was getting ready to leave for an interview and my printer broke! They fully answered all of my questions when I was considering moving in and have always met my needs since I moved in.The maintenance worker installed a ceiling fan for me in my living room and brought the pully things for the light and fan from the complex workshop since I didnt have my own.The grounds are always well kept. They collect pet DNA so they can test any poo they find on the grounds and fine the owner who didnt pick it up, so dog owners here are very responsible about cleaning up after their pets.The apartment is comfortable and the appliances are surprisingly quiet! Even the full-size washer and drier (PROVIDED BY THE COMPLEX!!!) which are located right outside the bedroom dont bother me when Im going to sleep. The whole apartment is quiet, actually. Even being right next to a busy highway, the only time you hear vehicles are if theyre modified to be ultra loud.The residents are great too. Theyre quiet, pleasant, and honest. I dropped my iPhone in the parking lot when I left for work, and when I got home, it was gone and turned off so I couldnt use the Find My iPhone app. I was so bummed out. But I put up fliers that evening asking for whoever found it to turn it into the office, and they turned it in first thing the following morning! I was thrilled!The location is great. Its right off the highway I take to go to work, is across from several delicious, affordable restaurants, and is just down the street from some of Addisons best restaurants, spas, and gyms. Its conveniently located near grocery stores, gas stations, and banks. You pretty much only have to go a mile in any direction to access any service you could need!I feel safe at this apartment complex. Its completely walled in and the one entrance gate and the multiple exit gates are always functional and closed until prompted to open.So far, the only thing I dont LOVE about this complex is the parking. The spots are kinda small and its difficult (yet not impossible--yay!) to maneuver an SUV into one of the detached garages. If you want your car to be protected against the risk of door dings, you should definitely consider getting a detached garage! Plus, there is still some room for storage in it even after the car is inside.Since I have a garage though and the parking situation doesnt affect me all too much, I give The Dorchester 5/5 stars!!!

    My wife and I lived here for about 2 1/2 years until we had our baby, we loved it here the staff was always very pleasant and quick to put in work orders that were needed. Parking is very tight so it was hard for me to find a place to park my truck or work van also too tall for the parking garage but aside from that it’s a great place to live. We only moved because we are starting our family and a house is better suited for our needs.

    As a Dallas native who moved away for College and recently relocated to the DFW area, there were a plethora of options that I was considering when searching for a place to call home as I embarked on my new adventure as a young professional. However, through the countless apartment tours I went on, none quite compared to the Dorchester. From the minute my roommate and I entered the front office, to the day we hung up the last painting to complete our move in we received nothing short of absolute five star assistance from the Staff and Management.More specifically we worked with Randall throughout our journey from touring, to signing the lease, and living here for the last year.     We moved in just recently and absolutely love living here! Samantha and leasing team have been extremely helpful and completely understanding.they are genuinely friendly and theyll do anything to help you get settled in to your apartment. There is some minor hitches on our unit but they make sure to look into this..but the bottom line is that I really love living here!

    My fiancé and I just moved here & we absolutely LOVE our Dorchester Apartment. It’s BEAUTIFUL so spacious and the big windows throughout our unit are to die for! I can’t get enough of the gorgeous natural light and seeing the trees and the city from my unit! We made our favorite meal in my FABULOUS kitchen & I’m currently composing this review from the comfort of my ABSOLUTELY gorgeous bathtub/bathroom with dual lighting with the low light on over my bath & my hubby relaxed watching Tv/gaming with our super cool cable box added! I could go on and on but the point is we are so HAPPY here. Great prices gorgeous everything super cool super easy mail/packaging set up. Just. YES.We also are super impressed with the ALL office staff & RANDALL!! 😁-Tori&Joe💕

    I need to apologize to Dorchester Property Management here locally. I posted a review earlier this week in regards to my roach problem. It has been an issue for a while. Corine and Randall have been SO wonderful. If you lease here, do everything you can to deal with them and NOT corporate. They have treated me like family and I lashed out at the company without making it clear that these folks are the real deal. Again, what issues I have had have been directly related to corporate and their lack of empathy. Parking is terrible, but its not the staffs fault. :) They didnt build the complex, they just have to listen to those of us who have had issues.;)

    Started living here 3 years ago and starting on my fourth. If there is ever and issue, it is taken care of quickly, the office staff is very hospitable, and neighborhood is nice. Randall has been a wonderful help to the whole process and would recommend this place to anyone.

    I find the Dorchester Complex to be a perfect place. The apartment itself has great character, with high ceilings (third floor), beautiful crown molding, a wonderful layout, and safe, quiet, beautifully landscaped surroundings.. The staff, from my initial inquiry to the maintenance and facilities, have been great to work with and continue to be highly responsive and friendly. Ive had friends and family over that also comment on the uniqueness, serenity, and beauty of the place. Im very happy with this choice of living.

    Love this place, the most beautiful apartments I’ve ever lived in and seen in my whole life, very spacious and just gorgeous kinda like my little heaven on earth. The staff is amazing, Randall is exceptional he has been super helpful to me he pretty much has all answers to my questions. Jose the maintenance guy is always amazing and quick to fix everything. I have lived here for two years and am sad I have to leave as my family has grown and they do not have a 3 bedrooms apartment that’s the only reason am leaving otherwise I would be here until I buy my own home. I love you my Dochester family and will greatly miss you. Thanx for giving us a peace of mind and a beautiful luxurious place to call home. ❤️❤️

    Great place to live. Friendly neighbors, you get a good bang for your buck as far as rent goes, and very close to 635 and NDT. Randall or one of the ladies in the office are always happy to help with requests or picking up a package. The parking spots are small, but there is a parking garage which usually has extra space. Never had a package stolen off my doorstep here, and its usually quiet.

    Lived here for 2 years. Love the size and cleanliness of the apartment and complex. It is licated close to everything so very convenient. The office staff is so friendly and acvommodating. I worked wirh Randall who is so friendly helpful honest and goes out of his way to be a great manager.

    Normal apartments. Great Location. Great Price. Parking a little tight if you dont park in the garage. When I have issues they get addressed quickly. Gym has an odor, but what gym doesnt. Renewed and recommended a friend as well.

    This place is great. Everyone in the office is so nice, professional and welcoming. The complex is very green and clean. They do a great job at keep it really nice looking. The inside of the apartments are spacious and really nice. Parking spots are kind of tight.. but manageable. Over all a great complex for a really good price.

    I haven’t had a bad experience while living here. I’ve been at The Dorchester almost two years. The office staff is great and helpful. Maintence issues are normally completed within 48 hours. The only reason they didn’t not get 5 stars is because parking is kinda tight. If you get home a little late it can be tough to get a parking space. Other than that the experience has been good.

    I have been living at the Dorcherster since 2007 and it has been great! It is centrally located and only 5 miles from my job. The management has always been friendly and anytime I have put in a request for repairs they have been done promptly. There are tons of apartments in this area and if i did not like it here I would have definately moved. It is truely great to call The Dorchester home.

    Over the last few months, my girlfriend and I were having many nights of sleepiness nights due to a very noisy upstairs neighbor. Several attempts were made by management to speak with the neighbor. Finally, I walked over and spoke with Alicia Beltran; Alicia took care of the issue in one meeting with the noisy neighbor. I really appreciate Alicia. She gets things done.

    Really impressed by these apartments. I just moved here from Chicago and went to The Dorchester to look at some apartments. The staff was very helpful. I was helped by Samantha in the front office and she was very helpful, very nice and was really interested in my needs and what I was looking for in an apartment. Definitely recommend.
