Giving 5 because of how amazing the staff PERIOD! The entire team from Jasmine who deals with all the complaints, work orders, rent etc is amazing. 🔥Hunter, Sean, Shelby(when she worked there) Chris and I think the other guys names Domingo are also very great. They listen and do everything in their power to meet the needs of residents and no this was review was not paid for. Apartments here are great location and I myself am not consistent enough to keep up with work orders i needed done and my roommate was leaving so it was easiest to jet! All in all it’s a great place to stay ,price is great, and the kids playing around during the day is really sweet which really makes it a great family environment. A lot of hot guys stay here too so be on the look out!! 😮‍💨

While the entire staff is awesome, very polite, empathetic, and always greets tenants courteously and with a smile, I want to give a special shout out to Chris, the maintenance guy. When he comes to make repairs of any kind, hes very courteous and polite. Chris explains everything hes doing as he goes, saying he just wants to keep me in the loop. I really appreciate that. I’ve been living here for a month and I plan to update this over time. Here’s my review so far.I visited multiple apartments around the area but Shelby L is the one leasing agent that stood out the most. Finding a new space is hard but she made it much easier for me. She answered my questions honestly and has deep knowledge of the apartments and area through personal experience which is not common from leasing agents.She mentioned that maintenance is very quick since they are on-sight. I’ve requested them three times over small appliance issues and each time they resolved my issues the same day. Theres been no noise issues for me at night which has been very nice. These are a couple questions I asked before moving and I haven’t been led wrong yet.I’m enjoying my hangar (aka 1 bdr) and haven’t had any problems that haven’t been resolved quickly. I’ll be updating over time if issues occur but so far I’m glad to be here

I moved into Mueller Flats late last year and have enjoyed my stay! The complex is well kept and the community is mostly quiet and people mind their business but are friendly. You really cant beat the price for the space you get in Austin these days.. no place is perfect but the office staff and maintenance crews are quick to respond to any questions and resolve any issues I have. Shelby at the front desk is very kind and sweet and always takes the time to answer all of my questions!

I was a resident of Mueller Flats for two years till Sept 2023 and wanted to leave an honest review of the place. My review is actually a 3.7/5 and wanted to give my experience of staying at the place.TLDR: It isnt the best apartments that I have stayed in, but it is really good for the location and price. There are some caveats to it (some fixable and others that one needs to be aware of) like hidden fees and poorly kept property surroundings.Pros:-The location and price of the place is unbeatable - you can reach any place in Austin within 20-25 minutes and that is great. You have target and stores in immediate vicinity. Barbara Jordan shopping center and Mueller HEB are 5 mins away. There is also a walmart within 2 mi. So pretty awesome and convenient.The management and maintenance is also very responsive. They take urgent requests seriously and try their best in addressing issues in a timely manner. There has been recent personal changes but my interactions with the pervious property manager Chris had been very nice. Also, they are not stingy with the deposit refund, which is very rare in Austins competetive rental market. I got back most of it with only very valid deductions.The open designs are good for small floorplans -- but the apartments are old, so do take that into mind. The paint easily peeled off even with using good no stick tapes and while cleaning the walls and doors. The carpet and floorboards also creaked in places. This walls usually meant that we could hear downstair neighbors playing TV even in moderate volumes or next door neighbors dog playing up in their house. But the neighbors are usually nice and friendly.Now to the bad part -Our unit faced the Renli street and there were a lot of issues with noise and disturbance from those apartment. I dont know if it is something that Mueller Flats can do something about, but please be careful if you are choosing an apartment which faces Renli Street. There are loud vehicles and often parties with loud music at all hours into the night. The side gate on that side is also always broken so I have seen all sorts of people coming in and out from there (Sometimes homeless people just jump the fence). This was a primary concern which led to me moving out. There are newer luxury buildings coming in so hopefully the situation improves.Apart from this the property is scattered with pet waste. People mostly do not pick up after their pets (the management warns of a fine but I dont think they do fine anyone). Even if they did, there are a lot of pets who are left out without a leash to do their business around. The large dog park is a joke because there are broken beer bottles and sharp objects every step of the way that I would not feel safe taking my pet there. The fences around the edges also arent well maintained and a small dog/cat can easily escape out. For that matter, I have notices ample broken glasses all around the property too.The community is gated, but the entry/exit gates are broken for ~ half of the year. And the apartment numbering is horrendous. No one ever is able to find my unit/building without extremely detailed instructions.The hot water is also broken more often than not esp in the winter days. I know Austin has had their fare share of winter freeze issues, but I am talking outside of those periods also they have constant boiler problems.The AC in the gym is also mostly turned off for last year. They said there was someone coming to fix it in Dec 2022 but was broken even in peak summers of 2023 - a pretty useless fitness center.And beware of hidden fees! They force you to take cable and Internet from them and you cant opt out of one or the other. As a low income household, those extra bucks for cable matter. I also got really high water utility bills (~$90-$100) for a 2-person household because it is not sub-metered. In my 6 years at Austin this is a high bill. There are also monthly charges of using a utility billing company that Mueller Flats chooses to use.Hope this helps the next person looking at Mueller Flats.

The apartments are what you pay for and it’s a solid price for the location. Close to downtown. My 1x1 was plenty of space for one person. The staff is nice and always responded as quick as they could. Shoutout to Chris he’s a great employee. There are a lot of issues with the hot water at times. No bugs for me on the 3rd floor. Y’all need to fire that lawn crew though, they’re scamming you blowing around dust in the parking lot for hours. Other than that I had a good stay B-).

Im posting this as an Assistant Community Manager of another downtown community. My name is Rendell and I lived here from October 2021 to November 2022. I moved here because I was wanting something in a good and central location that was close to the highway. I didnt come in and tour, but because I was in the industry, I just went ahead and filled out an application.The leasing agent that helped me was Leticia Ward. She was super sweet and was always chipper when I walked into the Leasing Office. I placed the application in late at night and the next morning she immediately called me to let me know the application went through. Walked me through their process and was always available when I had other questions. Christopher, the Assistant Manager, was also super kind all the time. Available to answer questions when needed and made living there very enjoyable for me. Work orders were addressed in a timely manner, but luckily, I rarely had any to deal with.Living in Austin alone can be very stressful, but they helped my first-time experience renting alone very easy. This is even coming from someone who has been in the industry for 4 years! Way to go, team at Mueller Flats! :D I will miss you all!

I recently moved into Muller end of 2021. I must say they have definitely made some improvements on the property since then. Its understandable change isnt for everyone but I appreciate all the efforts of the leasing/management team and it definitely shows when drive up to Muller now. Great location. Great office team. Great response to work orders and getting them done in a timely manner. Im happy living at Muller flats. Thank you for the improvements and making it a home for all of us.

Mueller Flats was a solid place to live. It is older but the units are renovated and nice inside. I enjoyed my apartment layout, and while I did have problems throughout my lease (bugs, AC and heater not working) management was always friendly and responsive and resolved my issues quickly.I had a minor roach/ant problem when I first moved in, but they sprayed some stuff and I never saw any bugs after that. The grounds couldve been cleaned up and maintained better, but all-in-all, Mueller Flats is a great value for the size of the units and location (very close proximity to good restaurants and shopping centers), and a quick 5-10 minute drive to downtown. Thank you guys!

I cannot stress this enough, the staff at mueller flats has never once failed to go above and beyond what their jobs are. Moving is stressful enough for anyone, but they really do EVERYTHING that they can to make sure things go smoothly and that theres no extra unnecessary bumps along the way. The apartments are gorgeous, the grounds are pretty well kept most of the time, and they always put the tenants first. Also a huge shout out to the management staff here, Sean and Carol, they pretty much saved our behinds by doing everything to help us expedite some important documents that were required to get us into our new house. It has honestly been such a pleasure to be a part of this community while we lived here.

While I havent lived here long I must say that Im very pleased thus far. Ive seen the groundskeeper out cleaning everyday and the property overall seems to be well kept. The leasing office staff are all very friendly and helpful and having relocated here from Illinois even went the extra mile to provide me with a list of nearby restaurants, shopping, and need to know places to make my transition easier. The move in special that I received at the time of my move in was exceptional but even without it the going rate for my apartment is well worth it. The apartment is very spacious and has been maintained well with up to date appliances. Its a very diverse community and everyone seems to be quite nice. The location is great! Its right by the highway which is surprising seeing how quiet the area is. There is a lot of nearby shopping and plenty of places to eat and recreate. The general area is comprised of a few surrounding complexes as well but again very quiet and peaceful. The gym and business center is never overcrowded and accessible just about the entire day. Downtown is only a few minutes up the highway as well as the University of Texas. Im looking forward to going to quite a few Longhorns games! Out of all the places I looked at to move to (including the help I got from Austin Craft Realty, shout out to Josh Giffin for the help) Im very glad that I chose this property. I feel it was a very sound decision and look forward to my living experience here.

This place is GREAT!!☺️We have only lived here less than a month, and already we LOVE it.It’s homey, and super cozy.So much love and car in the staffing. Leslie is super fantastic.Even when i was having problems they were quick to be there to help get my husband and I into our apartment fast and easily!!Pup friendly, two BIG NICE pools, grills, dog stations everywhere, grassy areas, bunch of shade. I literally can’t say nothing bad about this place. I highly recommend this complex! I can see myself living here a few years, honestly!!

Its always quiet and the staff in the office is always ready to help you with anything. I love the location of the apartments the most. I have not found a better value for your money than these apartments!

This property is undergoing major upgrades, and I like it! The remodeled units are beautiful. The grounds and facilities have been redone, including the swimming pools and the laundry. I love that the laundry machines are high tech, with credit card readers and they even send you a text to let you know when your wash is done. Teri and Brandon have been super helpful and attentive during our application and apartment selection process. The property is secure and the gates to the complex are now properly functioning.

Ive been a resident here for a full year and feel that is a sufficient timeframe to type up a review. I had the pleasure to have Terri and Sean in the leasing office help me out when I was looking for a apartment and she did a superb job assisting me in my move from out of state. The transition was seamless. Since then, Terri relocated, Sean is still helping future residents in the leasing office and the resident care center opened up with Kelley and Leslie handling the all of our resident needs.I havent had many issues with my residency here but when something comes up I know it will get resolved in a timely manner with Leslie and Kelley running the charge. All the staff members are all stars in my book and it has been a delight living in a wonderful community thus far!

We moved to Mueller Flats in June 2015 because I was impressed with the welcoming staff and beautiful office and pool area. Teri showed me several apartments so I could choose which location in which we would feel most comfortable since my partner is mobility impaired. After choosing and moving in, Teri made sure that the maintenance crew marked us a parking place of our choosing as reserved so my partner would not have to walk too far to get to the apartment. This is how we have been treated by all of the Mueller Flats management and maintenance since we moved in. We chose Mueller Flats also because the apartments had more storage than most one bedroom units and was very pet friendly. Our experience thus far is that if it is promised, it will happen. The enclosed area for pets to run off lease was put in shortly after we moved here. Now they are planning a much larger and better area. It should be in sometime this month. All the dumpsters were unsightly and people left litter all around them. Now management is installing privacy fences around then systematically to hide the litter and encourage residents to pick up after themselves so the maintenance staff do not have to spend their time picking up after people but can continue to make long-lasting improvements. The litter problems has been getting better by the day. Since I walk my dog several times a day, I see apartments being renovated and work being done all over the complex to improve the living conditions. Management has given residents a way to report maintenance needs by internet so that the request do not get lost like they inevitably will when depending on verbal reports. We had an air-conditioning concern and the maintenance staff went out of their way to fix it expediently so that we did not suffer from the heat. Anytime I have had a concern about maintenance both inside our apartment and outside on the grounds, management has responded in a reasonable amount of time and at our convenience. Although, this part of town is still suffering from some low economics, the people have proved to be friendly and nice. I enjoy the diversity of the residents in the complex and have made some good friends who I can depend on to lend a cup of sugar or take my dog for a walk when I could not. I feel very safe to walk my dog late at night or before the sun comes up in the morning. It is clear that the vast majority of the residents are hard working good citizens. I see them going off to work each day, sometimes getting together after a hard days work and grilling or talking together. Mueller Flats was a diamond in the rough but is getting better and more accommodating to residents each day. I love living here.

I highly recommend this complex!Reasonably priced, simple yet stylish formica countertops, decent fixtures and flooring. Mine came with new paint and carpet to boot. Score! The apartments are a little cozy, but not like too cozy, you know? Every unit has a private patio and theres two nice pools. Close to I35, 290 and Target is practically in the backyard. Every interaction with Breigh or anyone else in the leasing office has been great. The staff has been nothing but knowledgeable and prompt with communication.My favorite amenity by far of this complex is that they have two off leash dog parks, and one of them is seriously huge, yall. A 1/3 acre, fenced in, tree shaded, empty and maintained lot thats usually unoccupied and a dog owners conveniently located DREAM.

This review is for Breigh. I just wanted to share how absolutely happy I was with her service and working with her to get me into my apartment. I had lost application fees with other apartments before calling her. She is the most down to earth individual that I have encountered in all my apartment searching (we went to a lot). If you are looking for someone honest, helpful, knowledgeable, and super friendly and caring, ask for Breigh! I am so thankful for her. She got me in a one bedroom on the first floor that my husband and I really love. We have been there a month. We put in a maintenance request for our A/C and it was done by the time I came home from work the next day! I am so happy to know that the office has my back. She has made my move-in so smooth, and my stay so welcomed. THANK YOU BREIGH!!!

Let’s just say, I bring too many standards to the table. Let’s start there. I’m not bougie, but I do think it’s important to get what you pay for. Disclaimer: I may go back and change my review 6 months or a year from now, but I can say this much is true as of yet.I just moved in and am very happy with the unit I received. I’m not going to lie and say that everything is perfect, however, after talking with the AWESOME leasing staff and even the head maintenance gentleman, I’m almost positive they’ll help me with any of the issues I have.Here’s what you get when you move into Mueller Flats Apartments:Breigh (Leasing Manager) - Breigh is incredibly helpful, bright/cheery (which makes you wonder what she’s hiding), personable, perceptive, a great listener, and really understands the quality tenants expect in a property. She’s everyone you would want working on your team to make sure tenants are heard and then some, because, wait for it... requests and orders are actually put through. How novel! She’s the reason people move to properties. When she’s gone, I’ll probably be gone too. Absolute powerhouse this one. And her little dog too.Diana (Leasing Consultant) - Diana is so friendly, helpful, Texas-y, no-sass, patient, and quick to help with questions/issues. She’s such a huge/helpful resource. I can’t wait to work with her more.Leslie (Property Manager) - Leslie is so helpful and resourceful, based off the one time I’ve met her. She laid out certain options I never thought I would hear from management, all while answering all of my questions without dodging. Whole other level of tenant care that I truly appreciate.Fantastic Units - There’s a fresh, clean feeling in units, especially with upgrades. You’ll die when you see the flooring options (both laminate and carpet), countertops, cabinetry, and sinks. They did a great job with upgrade choices.Fulfilled Requests - Staff actually helps tenants fix the issues they’re having or things they’re unsatisfied with. Let me repeat that in case that wasn’t clear. Staff actually helps tenants fix the issues they’re having or things they’re unsatisfied with. Who does that? Nobody does that. Apartment complexes have a history of cutting costs at every single corner, giving tenants lip service, not doing a single thing about helping the tenant, while also charging them a premium (in a post 2008 financial collapse economy). Not here. The staff here actually wants to help and they help where they can, and I’m so grateful for that.Amenities - Everything is bright and open, from the pools to the gym and laundry area.Cons (so you know I’m not bought):-I have counted 1 roach (it was small, probably looking for it’s mom...aren’t we all.)-Some of the frequent flyers (I doubt they’re tenants) are highly questionable, some are unstable, so this is more of an issue with the area.-There are some older parts of the unit that definitely feel patched up, and I will be sharing this with staff when I get a chance, as I’m sure they’d want to know about what they can do to help increase property value and tenant comfort.-Landscaping could use a little Rogaine.I highly suggest coming out to take a tour, check out a few units, and maybe stay for a few years while you’re saving up for a house (post 2008 financial collapse joke). But seriously, you can’t go wrong with the staff, maintenance team, and units. Highly recommend.

She was amazing in the signing process and even more amazing afterward! Every little thing I had issues with she was there to help. She’s the best!

Diana handled all of the logistics and was my technical support. Her help was invaluable. I dont know much but I do know that girl can! Jennifer is my home improvement go to! She handled my work orders quickly (maintenance took care of same day) and since earned the nickname Home Depot. Breigh was very prompt answering any questions I had and helping with some additional items. Myles was at my apartment within the hour of me putting in my work order. He is very respectful, quick to assess the situation, came up with a solution and was back in 5 minutes to fix everything! Great start to my stay at Mueller Flats!

I recently just moved in and I love my cozy place! It takes me no time to get downtown and for a good price! I was assisted by Breigh Lankford and she was so great! She made the process so easy and was such a joy to be around! She has helped me with any problems Ive had with the move in too. Move in was easier than expected!

I love the location of these apartments. So easy to get downtown and so close to campus. The staff is so friendly especially Leslie and Shawn they always take care of me with a smile. The new upgrades are beautiful and the price of the apartments are very reasonable. If you are looking to be cloae to downtown without the high prices of dt this is the place to rent.

Mueller flats are a great place to stay. The staff is friendly and very understand and the price and location for a two bedroom apartment is amazing. If you are looking for a place to stay ,go talk to Hannah, Sean or Mrs Pam they will take great care of you .

Ive been here more than a year now and love living here. Its very affordable and in the perfect location being in Centrsl Austin! I was sad to see Teri leave but the rest of the office staff is wonderful as well. Shawn is my go to guy! So thankful hes here! I would recommend living here to anyone.

Stayed here a few times with an Airbnb hosted apartment (during busy seasons as well like ACL). Very cute apartments and parking was abundant no matter what time of day we came/left.They are kind of small but that could just be those specific units.Only problems I could tell is thin walls, could hear above neighbors walking around shutting doors etc, and the gates are *always* open, every time we book & come here. Never once have we needed the gate code. Water temp & pressure is iffy depending on time of the day.I see a lot of black people in the area surrounding the apts so if thats your reason for the area being ghetto then youre a racist.

Leslie is a great leasing manager. She does her best to help you as long as you tell her ahead of time. Shes always willing to work with you but as any REAL manager (boss) she sticks to the rules. So as long as you do your part she will work with you. Things defly couldve went sour for me but she did her best to give me information that I couldnt hear at the time but I did eventually. Im defly not the best tennet due to certain circumstances but Im grateful and blessed to have been given a chance here at a beautiful complex. Thank you all! Jennifer lol you witness my 1st and only panick attack ! Lol thank you for doing your job and also being honest!Looking at the 1 star reviews says alot...but the fact that someone responded to them says something. This is a very big complex with 4 ppl I know of working here...leslie anne jennifer and breigh. No where u live is going to be perfect esp if your not rich. But responding to the negative reviews says alot esp if they came through with what was replied. :) its all what you make it. ...remember you came in this world alone ...noone is obligated to cater to you. Do your part and I believe they will too. Ijs

Great apartment, great location, had an issue with the guest shower when I first moved in but talked to diana in the office and she was so sweet and had maintenance come out within about an hour to fix it and haven’t had any problems since. Love this place!

Mueller flats is fantastic!!!! Im new to the austin area but Ive felt right at home with the tremendous staff.... The maitenance women is such a joy, shes always wearing a smile soo hard working and the children seem to really enjoy her. Looking forward to many more years here! If your thinking about it you should definitely make Mueller flats your new home.

Staff in the office here is always amazing and they will always try to find a solution for your situation. You can also tell the property has been recently renovated to match the nearby area which is rapidly changing to one of the coolest areas in town.
