We just recently moved in a few weeks ago, and I feel a need to personally thank Que. If you have the pleasure of meeting her, you are in luck! Her bright and energetic demeanor really make the experience fun. She is responsive, informative, and there to help. The apartment itself is gorgeous and full of light. We are delighted with our experience of being welcomed into this community!

There has been significant improvement recently in the turnaround times for maintenance, and the new manager “Que” is doing an excellent job. When we moved into this place in August, we encountered numerous maintenance issues despite it being a new contract. However, we have noticed that recently these issues are being promptly addressed, and we are kept well-informed throughout the process. Living near the pool, I’ve observed that, although it is rarely used during the winter, it is cleaned daily regardless of usage, which demonstrates the high standard of maintenance being maintained.

Que, has been the reason I resigned my lease. She was very professional and helpful in my process of changing units and resigning my lease. She is prompt and informative and makes future residents and residents feel comfortable and heard. I recommend this place, because of Que and her professionalism.

Ive been on property for 3 months. Adriana is the best office manager. The entire staff is friendly and ready to assist when you come in the office. I had to put in a workorder, within 24 hrs. Eddie came with a smile and went out of his way to make sure the problem was fixed. I really appreciated his detail of work. Also, the first month my electric bill was little high, the second month it was $124.00 we live in a 2/2. So far, Ive enjoyed living here!

Thank You So Much Management for installing Que Williams at 8900 Independence pkwy Plano Texas c/o McDermott Place since she has come aboad there has been 1000+ significant changes and improvements at the complex in some cases She has taken over the site management expectations by her quick responce and accessiblity she has become the go to person for critical issues of concern at the complex her reliably has made us exspect this type of management trait in all furture property managersCudos Sares Regis Management group RWWPs...Miss Que Williams gets the job done.

I have lived here almost 5 years and love my apartment and the management team. Erica, the manager is on top of everything and she has assembled a super team around her especially John in maintenance. The apartments are quiet and have a good mix of young, old, single and family. I am very happy I made the choice.

Kelius has done an amazing job with all of my apartment repairs. I put in a request and he fixed everything that same day. Erica and Vincent in the leasing office has been amazing throughout the years that I’ve stayed here. With everyone’s kindness and support, this has been an amazing apartment complex to stay in.

Living here has been an absolute joy! The management and staff (especially Erica) have been exceptional, always attentive and responsive. There had been a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout my time here. From the well maintained amenities to the quick maintenance, this community truly felt like home. When out of this place, I wouldn’t hesitate to let anybody in my network know that this is a great place to live.

1. Searching the apartment on the website is very easy.2. Seeing the details of the rent is quick and in a single page.3. Seeing the floor plans is made very easy, also videos are there.4. Signing the lease online is extremely easy.5. Staff is very nice and helps understand almost everything which is needed, on the phone, on the email.6. Flexibility of amenities, as in my apartment was not having washer and dryer, but the staff ensured it is available within 2 days of our arrival.We moved from NJ to TX (Plano) on Sunday, and I was worried that how will I get the keys to the apartment, to my surprise, the staff made it available hanging on the door in a locker and the password was shared in my inbox. All the appliances were in very good condition, and maintenance arrived very quickly for answering our questions, we requested to add washer dryer, it was ordered well in advance and maintenance got it installed very quickly, there was one small area around the water heater which was left uncleaned, however the maintenance responded to our call and within an hour action was taken and it was vacuumed and pest control was called the same day, which made all delighted join the community.

It is very good community and every unit has new appliances. Community is so clean and pleasant. Team respond immediately whenever you have an issues. They will work on weekend on emergency. This community has wonderful pet policy.Good school district

Just signed our next years lease to McDermott Place. My little family has found a home here for sure. They are always so friendly when my dog I have to go into the office and they always have a treat for her. They have answers for questions I may have and if they don’t know, they find someone who does. There are lots of children in the neighborhood but to hear them having fun and enjoying the outside is nice from the boring, quiet suburbs we came from. So excited for Trick or Treat this year! There are families with dogs of all sizes too. Ours is only 40 pounds and fits perfect in our space and we are never too far from the designated potty areas for her. There is Russell Creek Park right across the street where she can stretch her legs, run, and be free too. I have never experienced problems but we do keep to ourselves and go with and understand the rules of the complex. We have recommended McDermott Place to others and will continue to do so. Here’s to another year!

Ive lived here for almost a year now. I was able to get in on rent when it went down for a few days and went back up. I was a bit surprised when I moved in to my apartment next to the model and it was very different. The appliances were not the same as in the model and the cabinets had been painted a dark brown and the carpet was different also. The painting of the cabinets painting was sloppy as there was drops of paint on the floor and paint was all over the side of the guest bath counter. Maintenance is quick and appreciated. The only complaint I have is my water line on the fridge has never been replaced. Ive asked 3 times. On the second time was told by the head maintenance guy he forgot and he would get it ordered and replaced but I guess he forgot again. I dont care for the ceiling fans. They dont blow air like they should and my master bedroom does run a bit warm. I have a spider issue as well. As someone with a severe spider issue this does not sit well with me. Kyndall has been very good trying to rectify this issue but the pest guy was in the office one day when I was there and she asked him what they could do to fix this issue and his response to her was sweep often. Why do many spiders though? Thats the question. I dont live next to a field like I did in an apartment back in the 80s where I had this same issue (that caused this hyper fear of spiders for me in the first place). I love having a 2-car garage and the layout is nice and roomy and having a stand alone shower in the second bath is great for my elderly mother who lives with me. I like the water heater is set higher over the dryer than most complexes as the accommodates my front loading dryer on its pedestal. I guess my only complaint is they need to update the appliances to what they show in the model or just update the appliances period. This is 2015, most places with the rent that is paid here offer granite counters and stainless appliances. While I dont care the appliances are white, at least put in a glass top stove. The dark cabinets look horrible with the white appliances, they should have painted them white, it would have looked better. They are changing out the blinds throughout the community as people move out but if youre a current resident, you still have blinds from the 90s and they wont be changed until you move out from what I understood this past week, so if I decide to renew my lease the only thing Ill get is a huge increase in rent but nothing to show for the huge increase. Do I recommend McDermott Place? Yes/No: The layout is nice and most apartments offer an attached garage but the $200+ increase in rent in less than a year is a bit concerning. I only get a 3% raise but rent goes up 20%? Thats just excessive, IMO. I wrote in my React survey this past spring they should consider the rent and changing to glass top stoves (didnt say it had to be SS, just a glass top stove) but both were not even considered obviously.Edit (December 31, 2015): Devon, the manager, and I spoke about my review and how she could help me with my concerns. She came to my apartment and saw and replaced the old microwave. My rent only went up $40 and I was able to sign a longer lease since I was a renewal, which I was very happy about. The management team will be happy to replace all of my blinds with the new 2 binds upon my desired schedule. When my garage door panels were bent, they were able to get the garage door company out here very quickly and my garage door was up and running within a few days. When Ive needed something fixed, they are always very quick to fix it. The office and maintenance staff are always very friendly and helpful. Thanks, Devon, for helping resolve all of my issues! I really appreciate all your efforts! Raising my rating from 3 to 5 stars because management does work with you to make the tenants happy to the best of their ability.

We have lived here for 2 years. Any issues we have had have been addressed timely and resolved. Any time you put multiple people together in one complex you wil always have some issues. I enjoy living here. It is quite. The complex management staff is friendly and responsive. Maintenance staff is helpful and committed to their jobs.

Ive lived here for years! I love it. Love my neighbors in my little alley. We have grill outs. I see someone posted about bugs and insects.... Ive never had that issue. That could be a personal problem lol. Clean your house.I agree with Czechwrx. Due to all the remodeling its been pretty crammed but other then that its great. That will calm down soon enough

I have lived at McDermott place with my family since 2008 for 3 years and more recently again since 2018.....I chose to come back to McDermott place since the apartments are of very good size, whether you go for a 1 bed, 2 bed or 3 bed apt, all rooms and layout is spacious and open, which is not that easy to find these days with the newer complexes. Great family community, closeby to all amenities, freeways, schools, shops, restaurants etc. I have had zero issue with the management firm, in fact, I would say the mgt team onsite have been fabulous to work with. They have been extremely responsive, very supportive, flexible and accomodative to my requests. A big shout out to Taylor, Carol, Parker, Jose and the rest of the crew. I would say take time to get to know the community, the mgt team, be patient, be appreciative, it goes a long way. Without a shadow of doubt, from someone who has lived at McDermott Place for almost 5-6 years with my family, I wouldnt even look anywhere else, great location, great community, safe, friendly and a great mgt team!!!! Keep up the great work!!! Miss you all!!!

I really consider this apartment complex to be super good, the cleanliness above all, the treatment also, the maintenance people are very good, I lived here for 2 years in apartment #206, building 1 and I really recommend it.

Staffs are really nice. Dont have any problem living here so far. Nice environments! Only downside is living by the gate, a bit noises in the morning and school buses comes in too.

Cecili is awesome! I spoke to her a dozen times on the phone about an out of state move to McDermott. She was always very prompt and helpful. Moving is smooth, attending service calls promptly, but common area maintenance should have been much better such as clearing dog waste, posting signs to clear dog poop etc to keep neighborhood clean.
