I want to give a huge shoutout to Stephanie, the property manager at Lakewood Flats.She was always incredibly helpful during our time living there and continues to go above and beyond even after we moved out. Despite changing our address multiple times with USPS and the post office, we still receive mail at our old apartment, and she has been kind enough to assist us with it.The complex itself is well-maintained, clean, and offers great amenities like a gym and pools. It was a great place to live, and the management truly cares about its residents. Highly recommend

I have lived here since 2021, I have really enjoyed my stay at Lakewood Flats. In fact the only reason im leaving is because I am having to move out of the country. The majority of the staff are great, very friendly with a very professional demeanor. Maintenance is always on point with the needs or requirements that you ask for. The area is a nice quite area and very close to the State Fair and Downtown Dallas which I love. I definitely would recommend these apartments out for anyone.

So far, so great. My move-in experience was pleasant thanks to Stephanie Rose. You can tell she really cares about the residents of this property and goes above and beyond! No problems with my unit upon move in. Covered parking is limited so you might not get a spot near your apartment.

I moved here three months ago now and wish I moved here sooner! I am so happy with my apartment layout as well as the trails behind the neighborhood. The facilities are well maintained. I finally feel that I am paying a fair price for a nice apartment in Dallas. Stephanie the leasing agent toured with me twice before I picked Lakewood Flats. She was very helpful with my move.

My family and I have lived here since 2020. We love it!!! The location is great! All of my neighbors are great. The office staff and hard working maintenance staff are amazing! Dwayne, the manager, truly cares about his residents and so do the rest of his staff. Spend some time and get to know them. You’ll see what I mean.The complex is lovely and clean. We have great amenities too! Two pools, two dog parks, a great fitness room, quick & easy access to the White Rock/Santa Fe trail. The list goes on. You have several different options in the Lakewood area, but don’t waste your time. Come be my neighbor!! You’ll feel safe and right at home!! It’s a lovely community! See you soon!

I lived at Lakewood Flats for 3 years, and honestly, I have nothing bad to say.-The leasing office was always very responsive and willing to help out with any small issues or questions i had-Maintenance was AMAZING, the best maintenance team out of all the places I have lived at. We’ve been living here for about a year, and we are so glad we found this complex to live in. Everything has been perfect so far. There are always parking spots available in my unit, no matter how late you are. Everything in the unit works well, the maintenance team works faster than others, and the staff is not just friendly but also very helpful. We are in a great location, so noise is not a problem. We are surprised by the insulation of the unit; we can’t hear anything from the outside. One thing to improve would be to pay attention to those neighbors with pets and their dogs’ waste on the green areas.

Wow. This has hands down been the best apartment experience I think I have ever had. I absolutely love living at Lakewood Flats! My unit faces the trail and its magical. I call my space The Treehouse and it brings me so much joy. The staff is excellent, DeWayne has been such a great help for any questions Ive ever had. Maintenance is great and keeps the grounds tidy. I have lived at Lakewood Flats for 11 years and have not had one unpleasant experience or interaction with the leasing office staff or maintenance team. There have been several management companies doing my tenure at Lakewood Flats but Valiant Residential has been the most accommodating of the lot.Maintenance requests are handled promptly and efficiently. The complex is always kept in tip top shape. Most of the tenants are friendly and respectful. Packages can be left at your door without fear of being taken.I will be renewing my lease for the 12th year without any apprehension as this is a great place to live.Valiant has created a great community.

Highly Recommended!I’ve been living here for quite some time now, and I can honestly say it’s been an amazing experience. The apartment complex itself is beautiful, amazing location close to White Rock Lake, well-maintained, quiet, and welcoming. But what really sets this place apart is the manager, DeWayne Carey. Not only is he incredibly friendly, but he truly goes above and beyond to make residents feel at home.Having a manager who has lived here himself really makes a difference—DeWayne knows the ins and outs of the complex and is always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed. Whether it’s answering a question, resolving an issue quickly, or offering great recommendations for local services, he always goes the extra mile. In addition, DeWayne and his staff continually organize fun events for the residents.I truly appreciate how approachable and attentive DeWayne is, and its clear that he cares deeply about the residents and the community. If you’re considering moving here, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s a fantastic place! Especially if you have a dog--they will love the trail to White Rock Lake.

Loved living here. I lived here for two years and being right on the trails was literally the best thing ever. They let you paint as long as you paint back before you leave (which I did) and I was truly able to make my space my own. Maintenance was always quick and efficient, the place was always clean, they keep the place looking nice with fresh paint, and the office staff were always pretty helpful!

The main highlights living here are the staff and amenities (on amenities on amenities) Kudos ought to be given to the Maintenance crew who are on it when it comes to responding to work order tickets. Shoot, tickets marked low priority get responded to with boots on ground within 2-3 days. Leasing office are staff are welcoming with an air of ready to help.And then there are the many amenities: weekly workout classes with the resident fitness trainer in the included gym; free bike-share (nice looking bikes too); 2 large pools; 2 community areas that have grills; cold-brew coffee on tap; plus random Resident events. Alot of stuff happening here that would make it impossible for someone to regret calling Lakewood Flats their home.

I love living here! The floor plan is perfect! Direct access to the trail. I love my neighbors! It has been a great community for me.I also want to express how amazing the maintenance team is. The guys are professional, friendly, and prompt. Things break in apartments but they do a great job of taking care of requests. I will have to say this was one of the least, stressful move-in, I have ever gone through Stephanie Rose was simply amazing. She was compassionate and understanding. she was upfront with the rental criteria, expectations and credit expectations, whereas a lot of Apartment communities are not, and they tend to take your money knowing you will not meet their credit and rental criteria . what I love the most was I didn’t get to tour the apartment prior to leasing it because it was some weather issues and it was a lot of other small issues going on and for the record what they look like online is truly what they look like on the inside. I will have to give Lakewood flats a five star rating not only because of the property and the looks of it but the management is really good.

The maintenance crew is always on point, anytime I submit a work order they have it done usually within 24 hours. I agree with most of the reviews, Dewayne and his team are so personable and are always willing to help. I appreciate that Dewayne (the manager) is always available to talk when we have a concerns, he always goes above and beyond to find a solution to any problems. The property is always clean and my neighbors are so friendly! If I could leave a 10 star I would.

Been living here for 4 months and absolutely love it! I have no complaints at all. Danny helped us find our apartment and was amazing the whole way through. I actually got locked out of my apartment and raced to the office around 5:40 knowing it closes at 5:30 and Danny was in his car about to head out and saw me, honked, assisted and helped even though he was off and could of drove away. Can’t thank him enough!!! The customer service and urgency the team at the front has is unmatched.

I love and highly recommend the Lakewood Flats apartment community! The staff is professional, personable, and timely in responding to any inquiries. The grounds are beautiful and the apartments are spacious and all the amenities truly make this community feel like a home. The maintenance staff responds within 24 hours and are extremely professional as well. All of this is because of the Community Manager, DeWayne. He is so efficient, meticulous and warm, he treats you like family. If anything is not up to par, just a mention to DeWayne and he will make sure that any issue is resolved quickly or suggestion is taken under consideration. I have lived in this community for over 8 years now, first in an apartment then moved to one of the townhomes, and I am lucky to call this community my home.

UPDATE 2024: Im still here and loving it! I have rarely had any issues with my apartment. Maintenance responds in 24 hours if I do. Its quiet, I feel safe, and the property is beautiful. Many of my neighbors have been here as long or longer than me.The staff are a great group of people. I love that John, a personal trainer, does free group sessions in the on-site gym. Dewayne, the manager, has his door open if I have questions or concerns. Dani and Stephanie are very knowledgeable as well. I dont plan on moving anytime soon.2018I just moved in here and I love it. The staff is very kind, the community is quiet and the amenities make life easier.

Ive lived at Lakewood Flats since 2019 and will not move until I decide to buy a house! Dwayne and the maintenance team are incredible and I love living so close to multiple trails, parks and White Rock Lake.I was having dishwasher issues and reached out to Dwayne about it and he immediately approved a new one for me. The maintenance team is always so on top of service requests and are always so friendly and professional. They are always working to keep the property clean and well maintained!Lakewood Flats feels like home, and I really enjoy coming home everyday!

What a wonderful experience! They gave us a profound tour of their property. They answered all of our questions w/ detail and kindness. They showed us a virtual tour for the apartments we were interested in but were not available to tour in person, which we have never experienced. It really helped compare our options. Their property is beautiful and seems safe!Update:My experience living here has been amazing. We have been here for a little over 2 years now and we have had ZERO problems.The front desk staff are friendly and informative. Always there to help.The maintenance staff are also friendly and informative.The amenities are always in top shape. The pool is always clean, not filled with bugs or leafs. The gym has a sanitizing corner to wipe off machines after usage.For the most part it’s a pretty clean building! The only issue is that some of the residents don’t pick up after their dogs in some areas, but other than that everything is cleaned up.

Although I didnt sign with this complex, this was the apartment community that made me change what area I was looking into. The neighborhood is great, seems quiet and safe. I was SOOOO appreciative of Daniel. I wanted to make sure he got a shout out. The morning I had a tour scheduled, I found out that my current apartment was messing with my move-out date. Daniel was kind enough to look over my leasing contract and explain where the misunderstanding was coming from. He was SUPER Helpful, considering that he didnt have to do that at all. As far as the apartment, the bathrooms are immaculate! The complex I signed with has a super basic bathroom... REAL BASIC. But honestly, none of the apartments had a bathroom as nice as Lakewood Flats. The Island in the kitchen was a little too big for me, but I like an open kitchen and an Island. Anyways, I really liked the complex, so much so... that I told my apartment locator to find more in the area. If the one bedroom unit had been a little bit bigger (like 100 sq.ft. bigger), I wouldve chosen them... based off the bathroom and Daniels customer service alone ... and the area.

The assistant manager, Lilly, helped us through the whole process of transferring and she made it so smooth, quick and accommodating. The premises are clean and quiet. I live in this complex for about 2 years. This is My first long review of my life! I had a great experience living at Lakewood flats. Quiet and calm. You can call it home. Office staffs are responsible and maintenance requests have been taken care well enough to keep you OK. What else? mmm.. overally, office staff were available at business hours and their policy WAS NOT youre screwed after signing lease agreement.Reason I left: far from my new work place. 30min drive and even worse at rush hours.

Great office and maintenance staff! Very friendly and responsive. My wife and I have lived here 2.5 years and dont plan to leave anytime soon.The property is one of the best locations within the I-635 loop in Dallas. The property is located just south of White Rock Lake. In a city I would consider a concrete jungle the only outdoors activities within Dallas proper are near White Rock Lake. The property has direct access to a paved 11 mile trail the runs around the lake so you dont have to worry about cars and stoplights. Great for running, walking, and biking! If you love the outdoors this is the best spot in the city.

Im a current resident at the time of writing this (09/2022), and I just wanted to add that this a special complex with a great community.I leased a top floor 1 Bed/1 bath, and could not be happier! Here are few reasons why:GOOD:- Clean, well kept apartment- Professional, kind leasing office staff- High ceilings- Great fitness center & pool- Close to White Rock Lake- Santa Fe trail access- Everything you need is close by- Friendly neighbors- Feel safe- Great value for the rent ( I pay $1600 )BAD:- Trash piles up too frequently at the dumpster- Gates break constantlyDont let any negative reviews steer you away from this place because you wont find a better complex in this part of town!Also, special shoutout to Dwayne for helping my girlfriend and I get everything signed and ready on move-in day back in January! He helped us avoid another expense of a night in a hotel by getting everything done right at the end of the day. Dwayne and everyone in the leasing office are great!

I am so glad I found this apartment building. I moved here from California and didnt have too much time so I wasnt able to fly out to check an apartment out. I read the reviews for Lakewood, trusted it, and was not disappointed. My air conditioning unit wasnt working so I filled out an online maintenance request and it was fixed the next day when I was at work. There are free group exercise classes on Tu/Th!! And then do community events. Highly recommend living here.

I absolutely love wear I am stay.. It has everything that I wanted plus more.. I moved in during the month of March.. My leasing agent was absolutely fabulous it was a wonder experience. The neighborhood is very quiet and very family oriented. I have never had any problems with noise or anything, I would give Lake Wood Flats 10 stars if I could and would recommend them to any one looking to move to the area. You are right in the middle of everything, nothing is really that far away... Thank you Lake Wood for welcoming me home!!!

Overall I really enjoy living here. I love the pools and access to the trail and White Rock Lake. Service request are processed and a professional and timely way. However, I often find parking difficult past 10. I wouldnt mind if it was all registered cars but often it is not. I really wish the guest parking was actually enforced. I work a job with odd hours and its stressful to come home after a long shift and have to worry if Im going to find a spot close to my building.

We LOVED living at Lakewood Flats. We lived there for almost 2 years, and only moved because my company transferred me out of state. We started out in one of the standard 2 bed/2 bath floorplans and then actually transferred over to a 2b/2b townhome style floorplan after our first year. We loved both layouts. The finishes and amenities at Lakewood are gorgeous, the grounds are well-kept, and the staff are all great. Some people have commented on the price, but when we originally toured, we toured and compared it to every other complex in a 15 minutes radius, and nothing came close to the value you get at Lakewood. Its a really competitive price for the area, with much better amenities and finishes than other complexes nearby. Plus the location is better than we ever could have hoped. Youre 5 minutes from a grocery store, 5-10 minutes from several great restaraunts, 15 minutes from a Target, Walmart, Sams, 10-15 minutes from downtown, and 15 minutes from an awesome dog park on the lake! The private access to the Santa Fe Trail behind the complex is amazing too - especially if you enjoy running, biking, or have dogs.Ashley especially has gone above and beyond to help us out the entire time weve lived there. We actually forgot 2 pairs of pants and a shirt in our dryer when we moved out, and we called Ashley to see if she could drop them off at UPS if we called UPS ahead of time and handled payment. Even though wed moved out and were no longer her resident - she grabbed the clothes and dropped them off for us! Amazing customer service on her part. The only complaints we had in 2 years was an issue with parking and 1 neighbor that was loud and obnoxious (typical things you deal with when living in any apartment complex). Both times, Ashley and the other ladies in the leasing office were great and helped us address the issue. We didnt have many maintenance issues, but when we did the maintenance team was super quick to come take care of it, and made sure the job was done right.Basically - Lakewood Flats set the standard for what we were looking for when we moved out of state, and I think itll be difficult to find somewhere that we will enjoy the way we did here. If youre looking to rent in Lakewood/Lake Highlands, save yourself the time and trouble of touring elsewhere and just go fill out your application at Lakewood. Youll love it!

If you want a taste of the city life but at a suburban pace, Lakewood flats is the place to be. First of all, the staff at Lakewood flats are great to deal with and the amenities are fantastic. The location is ideal for anyone who wants to have quick access to great restaurants and the Dallas nightlife. While at the same time, its also great for people who enjoy the outdoors because White Rock Lake is less than a mile away. I cant recommend Lakewood Flats highly enough!

I love living at Lakwood Flats! This is my second time with the property and I joke that their slogan should be You always come back to Lakewood Flats. They handled everything in a timely and professional manner. There are previous reviews stating the grounds are poorly kept, both maintenance and staff are rude, and they charge you for random things for no reason--this could not be further from the truth. The grounds are beautiful and the office employees are sweet, welcoming, and due their due diligence. Secondly, there wasnt a single charge that I wasnt given full disclosure on as to what it is and if its refundable or not. I highly, highly, highly recommend this property! You wont regret it.

Since I left this review this community has gotten a new office manager, our gates have been fixed, and security beefed up. Given the added safety and managements prompt response to my concern, I am renewing my lease and that says more than anything I am willing to live here another year.Currently living here, while I love my actual apartment and the location, I will be moving because of the crime. Two stolen bikes personally and neighbor had his car stolen last week. The main gate is constantly broken, and the so called officer on duty, is basically someone who lives here and you can call, there is no patrol. When I called the office about it, they reminded me that theft can happen anywhere. I will say our front office staff is lovely to deal with, I blame the over all management company for this. For me its less about what is stolen and more about where both of my bikes were less than 5 ft from my door, one was on my patio, both locked. The car was under covered parking in front of the building. If you carry a gun and dont mind things missing the floor plans are lovely.

Everyone is so friendly in the office! They notify us when we have packages waiting and the free tanning bed is a huge plus. Neighbors are quiet and friendly and the gates are rarely ever break, which is something I cant say about my past few apartments. I feel very safe here.

My husband and I recently relocated from Los Angeles and are very happy we chose this property to call home. The office staff were all very pleasant, professional and helpful answering our questions to help us prepare for our cross-country move, especially Jennifer and Tori.The property is fairly new, well maintained and quiet. The Lakewood neighborhood is really nice and there’s a pedestrian/bike trail behind the apartment complex that goes to Deep Ellum (good restaurants, music and night life) in one direction and White Rock Lake in the other. It’s very convenient if you like going out for a walk without dealing with traffic on the streets.The apartment interiors are well appointed and come with a microwave, dishwasher, stove, refrigerator and washer/dryer in unit. We were excited about the appliances because washer/dryer and refrigerator are uncommon in LA. One of the “must-haves” for us was storage and we made sure to express that upfront. Jennifer, the Property Manager, really listened to our needs and found us a great 1-bedroom floor plan that met our needs.The business center has free wi-fi and free printing. It’s a nice place to go if you need a quiet space to work. The property also has two pools and we are excited to give it a try when it gets warmer.One bonus feature of this complex is the FREE boot camp classes offered twice per week. My husband really enjoys this perk and has been going every week. The trainer lives on property and is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet!All in all, we are very pleased with the property, staff and access to amenities both on-property and off-property in the local community. Do yourself a favor and take a look if you’re considering a move to Lakewood!

I recently just moved out from the Flats, only due to work related issues. I would have stay had it been for any other reason. This was the first apartment complex I had ever lived in by myself and it’ll probably always be my favorite. From the beginning of just searching the surrounding area these are by far the nicest apartments in the Lakewood area, from all the ametities, the dog parks, pools, workout room, even the Luxer Locker (like the amazon locker) everything has been so great this past year. The atmosphere here in general is just great, the office often throws little get togethers (crawfish boil, being my fav) I really have made so many lifelong friends living there. Through my whole move in process, Tori was so kind and responsive to all my emails with a zillion questions about x,y,z. I will always recommend the Lakewood Flats, and if I ever move back to the area Lakewood Flats is first on my list!

The location is awesome, near to main attractions like the Whiterock Lake, Arboretum, short distance to Greenville. Not to mention, theres an YMCA nearby and other fitness place very close, a TomThumb, Starbucks. Anything you can think of will be within blocks or few minutes drive. It feels like a neighborhood vibe. Believe me, you can call Lakewood Flats your new home. Ive tried to compare with other places, but nothing really matches what I get here.
