📣 PSA: YOU SHOULD READ THIS! Anyone can take out their personal issues on a google review and not tell the whole story. I have worked in property management for 6 years, been an apartment locator for 2 1/2 years, and lived at La Costa Villas for 4 years. This quaint property is super well kept; maintenance is responsive and good at their job; Javier the leasing agent is super sweet, kind, and helpful! 5 stars for all of the above! Yes, its an older property and sometimes things break. But guess what? They fix it! And I hear stories of brand new properties with the SAME issues! Thats life!My apartment is beautiful with so much character that all the new places lack. The location is perfect ~ quick access to the freeway and yet walkable to coffee and drinks or nature walks! I have NEVER once lost power or had pipes burst! Prices are 🔥! Best kept secret in town. Thank you, La Costa Villas!!!!

My daughter moved to the property this year and absolutely loves it. I love the security and on-site maintenance. They respond quickly to any requests. Everyone in the office has been absolutely fabulous from our first visit through tenancy.

Been living here for almost a year and i absolutely love it. I am currently trying to transfer to another unit in the complex and Javier in the front office has been a huge help! He is very thorough and is able to make this process very smooth! Looking forward to another year living at this place 🥰

Weve lived here for a year now and have had a good experience so far. The maintenance team is amazing as soon as we put in a request they come first thing in the morning to sort out whatever issues and get them fixed. You can also see them taking care of the amenities almost everyday . They do such a great job. The management is polite, friendly and very responsive. We had some issues with our new lease and they theyre very prompt in getting it fixed.The gym is decently equipped the pool is always clean. The only complaint I have is that sometimes the gates dont close or dont open. Other than that Ive not had any issues

One of the best apartment communities I have ever lived at. Every time I come into the office, the property manager is always friendly and polite. The leasing agent is super sweet and very professional. Maintenance always takes care of my work orders within 24 hours. I highly recommend this community.

My partner and I have been at La costa villas for about 6 months now, so far so good! The staff in the leasing office are super friendly and always attentive to our needs even before moving in! Whenever we have put in a maintenance request in it has been solved within the next business day which is awesome! The only small downfall is the very small parking spaces wish they were a bit bigger it can be very hard for big cars to fit in them. Overall this complex is really good, the location is great as well, youre only 15-20 mins from all the popular places. Deff happy with our decision!

My significant other and I love living at La Costa Villas, we have just renewed for our second year. The staff is great here and they have a really quick response time to get things done. The maintenance team responds to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently. The office team is great as well. Everyone is super friendly. We dont have any pest issues and no problems with any immediate neighbors. Only downside is that some of the building tenants (or their guests) are really inconsiderate, whether its not picking up after their pets outside or leaving beer cans lying around overnight, but this is to be expected at any apartment building in the Dallas area. Unfortunately, the maintenance team is left to pick up after them which they do a great job of. All in all, this is a great building to live at.

First off the staff is top notch! Great people. Location is perfect, not too far from anything. Literally a Costco 2min away. The convenience of leaving your garbage bag outside and it’ll get picked up later is nice. Decent size pool and a small gym if you need a quick workout. Gated community is a plus. Layout of the apartment(s) is alright, could be better. So many stairs, elevators would’ve been a good idea. Definitely has a vintage vibe on the outside but it’s pretty nice and modern on the inside. Overall, it’s a decent place to live. I like it.

This is a great place to live. I have lived here with my family for 4 years and we enjoy living here. The assistant manager Tony is great. He answers any questions we have, helps resolve issues and he is very courteous and professional when dealing with residents. The maintenance guy Pepe is also very good at what he does. He ensures that any maintenance issue is taken care of promptly. The apartment is quiet, safe and peaceful.

Has its pros and cons like all apartments but overall its not bad. Garden tub, 2 inch blinds, beautiful trim. They refinish the counters between each resident. Beautiful well maintained pool, and hard working maintenance staff will fix your issues ASAP. I have had issues with water leaks in the past when they were replacing the roof. Parking is tight, get a covered spot so you dont have to worry about it. Some of the office staff are not conducive to residents issues but Donna and Misty (manager) have always been quick to help and able to straighten things out.

Relocating has been such a headache when trying to find a new home. I visited this property and had a chance to view the newly renovated units and I was impressed. The lady in the office, Amber was very pleasant and answered all of my many questions. I am truly considering making this place my new home! I recommend this place to anyone in search of a modern style apartment with a reasonable price point and gated entry.

So far so good..I have read some mixed reviews about this place. From horrible reviews to great honest ones. I suppose that is part of any leased property.I had been looking a few months back up and down the Churchill and Merit area at all properties. VERY reasonably priced. The feel is very at home and my personal experiences with all of the staff members have been great so far! I had one minor issue with a small leak but was repaired quickly. I was actually shocked at how fast it was handled. Minor things like a light bulb are handled promptly and the maintenance teams have been very quick! I am happy with my home and i am loving my neighbors and the community so far. I do work very close so this is also convenient. Overall 5 stars for me. Great location, excellent price for quality and client care and attitudes of all staff have left me happy so far.!

I am living in la costa villas for 6 years is super quiet and safe. the property has changed office staff but all the time with good results,the maintenance team has been excellent especially by PEPE all the time he has shown great professionalism and respect for our needs his great attitude and knowledge makes a big difference. I would ask the office to leave open all the time (do not park cars) the parking lots in front of the corridors building entrances so that would allow us walk freely with groseries,furniture,trash service , parts for maintenance and children.

Myself and my husband have been residence here for almost 3 years and we could not ask for a better complex and staff. During the winter ice storm that shut down the city. My husband and I were blessed to be out of town, however, our apartment was one of the units whos experienced a pipe bursting at 3:00AM. Pepe, (Maintenance) called us in New York to let us know and let us know he had went in our apt immediately and moved our furniture to save our belongings could be saved. He also moved our bed and tried to salvage as much as possible for us. With us being out of town there would not have been any way for us to salvage our belongings, and for this we will forever be grateful!! The management team was very thorough in getting things fixed immediately and we were able to return to minor damages. Thank you La Costa Villas!!! LOVE IT HERE!!

I recently relocated from Tennessee to Dallas, TX and was freaking out about finding a place to live on such a short notice. Walking into the lobby I was pleasantly greeted by a very knowledgeable and seemingly sweet individual. Ms. Amber not only answered all questions I had but she made me feel more comfortable in my efforts to find the perfect home for me. I have lived in this complex since early 2013. Great location and floorplans. In all honesty, the place is not perfect but still close enough to give 5 stars over 4.I wanted to post this review to give props to the property manager, Rejoice, who recently took the time to contact me about a mix-up regarding my account in the office (was charged some fees incorrectly due to paperwork falling through the cracks - like I said, not perfect, but who is?). Rejoice took the time to reach out to me and get the matter cleared up resulting in a reversal of the incorrect charges and a credit added to my account. Im glad and thankful she was willing to take the time to look into this and make it right. Thank you!

A really great place to live. Rejoice, the community manager, and her staff are by far the most helpful of any place Ive lived before. The maintenance staff especially Pepe bend over backwards to keep everything running smoothly in the community. I highly recommend La Costa Villas if you are looking for a great place to live.

We lived here for over four years before transferring and I can tell you that Pepe (lead maintenance) is the reason we enjoyed living there for so long. Im in the apartment industry and I know how hard it is to find people truly dedicated to their jobs and residents. He always fixed things at night, days off...even coming personally because he knew we were more comfortable with someone wed met before. Everyone should move here because of Pepe!!

Coming from a different state and moving here in Dallas was a new experience for me and my wife.Our move was even made easy thru the help of the management particularly Amber and Rejoice. And to top it all, the transition was even great because of Pepe ( maintenance )who is so helpful and reliable.Pepe is on top of everything and he makes sure the job order is done on time and makes a follow-up after.And who doesn’t love , Jose ( utility )? His smile and positive attitude is greatly appreciated. My wife and I decided that we’ll stay here till our retirement which is 9 years from now lol.We just love our community👍❤️

I apologize for the wall of text but Google doesnt allow for paragraphs so please blame them. Ive added underscores to try and make it readable.______Its been a great place to live so far. I have a one bedroom on the bottom floor(there are four floors).______The ceilings are high, 9 ft or so. Plenty of space for storage inside and out--I have a little closet on my porch/balcony that I can store things in. The flooring is not real wood or even the fake wood like Pergo; its closer to a linoleum but its not shiny. Easy to keep clean but not as nice as wood flooring.______Its within walking distance of several mid-rise corporate buildings making walking to work pretty easy. There arent many restaurants in walking distance but thats pretty much the norm in Dallas; either you live close to work or you live close to fun. The White Rock Trail is very close maybe a few blocks from the front gate. Good for jogs, bike rides and legitimate transportation. The nearest DART station is more than a mile away on Forest lane but there is a bus station right across Merit Drive.______Maintenance staff seem to be working all the time and they are very quick--Ive never waited more than 24 hours for a maintenance request to be completed.______Parking is difficult at times but I always seem to find a spot. This is mostly due to people having vehicles larger than they can park properly. At the time of writing this review, I believe covered parking is an extra $30 per month and a garage is an extra $100 per month. The latter options would guarantee you a parking spot.______Small Problems-The gate in front is a little finicky from time to time but nothing that causes any serious issues.-The gym is very small and really isnt a replacement for a real gym. I think they would be better off replacing the lifting equipment with some newer cardio equipment.-The on-site laundry is nice but a little dirty. As mentioned in another review the coin slots get jammed every once in awhile. That person probably didnt alert the business who runs the washers and dryers. If they had, they would have likely found the coin slots fixed the next time they went to wash clothes.______Utility Bills: This is what I wish I had when I was looking.Power: Average of about $30 from October 2013 through May 2014Cable/Internet: As another reviewer mentioned, unfortunately you are stuck with Time Warner Here. I pay about $45 for 15mbit/s Down and 1.5 Up. I only have internet; I dont have cable.Water/Garbage: Average of about $20 per month.______Ive seen complaints about the management in other reviews but they seem really nice. I pay my rent online so I rarely need to talk to them but on the off chance that I have an issue I can place it with them and they deal with it quickly. I forgot to pay rent one month and was a day overdue. Instead of charging me the extra charge right away they gave me a call and let me know. I thought that was really nice.______Packages are delivered to the main office and you pick them up there--definitely safer that way even in the best of neighborhoods.______Overall, an awesome place to live if you work in the area. Exercise is close by but you have to drive almost everywhere for food and entertainment--its like this everywhere in Dallas.

The very friendly reception staff Didra and Lily were very attentive, they took the time to tour the property and explain everything to me, I have been living here for 2 months and it is a very quiet place, the residents are very polite, the areas are always clean and well cared for, during this time several work orders were sent and the maintenance team is very efficient, professional and friendly, their response when repairing my problem was only a matter of minutes, the way of working is very clean and orderly… my experience is excellent I recommend this place to live
