    What I like about Island Villas is the great vibe and community feel. This is an older apartment complex but really well maintained and very convenient. The 2 bdrm I have is spacious and homey. I love the balcony and I like to see how people decorate their outdoor spaces! The office and maintenance crews are quick to respond to any questions or concerns. They are also good about communication. And thereā€™s nothing like the awesome food trucks!

    Ive lived her nearly 6 years & honestly Ive had my ups & downs but I will say that there have been a lot of improvements, the staff is helpful & their responses to your needs are met. This morning I walked out to go to work & noticed some new decorations at the back pool, 2 big pots that really bring out the pool a little more. I feel safer with the camera right outside the building as well. My sis & I love living here

    The staff in the office & maintenance crew are terrific. Theyā€™re always friendly & ready to help. I share a 3 bedroom with my daughter and hubby. Its roomy, updated and lovely. The staff and maintenance crew are terrific. They go out of their way. Weā€™re on our 2nd year here now & weā€™re loving it. If youā€™re looking for a new place to call home you can definitely find it here. Thereā€™s a great community sense within the complex, itā€™s a neighborhood; the pool & gym are always clean & well maintained as are the grounds.     Not only are the apartments beautiful they kept nice and clean.The office staff is amazing!! Richard our leasing agent is awesome.     We moved in at the start of June. We love our apartment! Amanda made the process of applying to getting the keys a breeze. So friendly and we felt like we truly connected during the process of becoming residents.We love seeing all the resident dogs & for the most part our building is quiet.Safety was a big factor for us moving, and we love how close we are to the hospital and emergency services should we need them.Island Villas is a great complex!!!

    I moved in 10 months ago and I love this property. Maintenance has been responsive, the office staff is helpful and friendly. I pay my rent on time and they dont bother or hassle me about anything. They have a nice gym facility set up with a code to get in so you can use it 24/7. There is a package room so you dont have to worry about your package getting delivered to the wrong unit or getting taken off your porch. The community is gated and the gate is pretty much always in operation. Plenty of parking. Quiet neighbors. Im very pleased with this lease and will be renewing it.

    I enjoy living at Island Villa and donā€™t have any complaints. All the employees in the office from Property manager, Assistant manager and Leasing Agents are always professional, attentive and very welcoming! The property is also well kept!     Their are no words for us to express how we feel right now. Amanda, wow! Amanda has been so AWESOME from day one (1). She was super kind with us, took the time to listen to our needs and worries, she never rushed the call, patient, courteous, respectful, competent, her customer service is top notch (something that other places could learn and benefit from). She went the extra mile with us and we truly appreciate it. We were worried about the process since we are moving from Puerto Rico, but she made it go smooth like silk.     I honestly cannot express how Helpful Amanda has been with my experience here at Island Villa. I just Renewed for a 3rd year and Any questions or concerns, and sheā€™s always been able to help and go above and beyond. Itā€™s a quiet place, apartments are bigger than other complexes at a lower price, and maintenance is usually always on top of everything, only con is the gate sometimes is left open for long period of times but Iā€™ve felt comfortable and safe here.

    Been here for about 2 years now while attending TAMUCC and my overall experience has been great. Any maintenance requests Ive put in get fixed in a timely manner! Everyone in the front office is kind and welcoming. The property is kept relatively clean. The only negative thing is that the front entrance gate seems to always be broken and is left open(but I think 90% of the time the gate gets broken by people hitting it, so its not really the apartments fault). Overall though, a wonderful place to live. An added plus is they offer valet trash which is extremely convenient!

    So far Iā€™ve had a wonderful experience. Richard helped me all through the paper work, responded quickly and reassured me every step of the way. By far the best support I have ever had while trying to move into a new apartment. Maintenance responds so quick and are so helpful. Working full time and being a full time student I have dealt with so much stress and the island villa staff made it such an easy process.

    When I walked in it was trashed at first, but then a couple months later, they let me take the apartment, and when I walked in the door, it was much cleaner. The walls were painted and I dont have to worry about paying for my pets. They are Guinea pigs, and I am very happy living at this beautiful apartments island villa is the perfect place to stay, they may be expensive, but they are perfect they have a oven and everything you need, if anyone lives in here, I would just say this place is amazing and they have 2 pools, one in the front where the office is in the other one in the backand when I told them I am moving day understand, so this place is perfect I love it here

    Our family just moved here knowing nothing of the area and we have been so extremely welcomed here. The front desk staff has made everything so simple and the head manager Lisa is the sweetest.     Great place! I was very impressed with the apartments and the grounds...very clean from the moment you walk in the front doors of the main office. Very good, welcoming, and positive vibe from all the staff. I usually do not give 5 stars because I was taught no one is perfect, but this staff has either worked together for a long time or they just click very well! They deserve it!     So far so good. I donā€™t move in until next month but the approval process was very quick and the office staff seem really nice. The apartments look very well kept up. Ariana was able to help me do a virtual tour since Iā€™ll be moving from out of state. So excited to finally get moved in!

    Very unprofessional to say the least. My sister is a RN and works at the Heart hospital that is there in view. That is the whole reason she picked these apartments to call home. They were awesome at first when she moved into the nice one bedroom apartments in the front. Her lease expired after a year and she decided to transfer to a two bedroom two bathroom. Since then her experience has been a not so good one. Which I believe is due to management changes, the same helpful girls that were once in the office were replaced with rude ones that are unwilling to do their job. The reason I say this is my sister got locked out of her apartment so she called the 24 hour emergency number. A young lady did come out to unlock the door and was quick to charge $65 that night for a lockout fee. So the problems began with us filling and locking her patio storage with decorations and stuff we needed out of the way at the moment, we locked the storage unit door, one for theft reasons and two because one would think that the same key to the front door will also open the storage unit door.. wrong! The key doesnā€™t work and my sister cannot get into her storage unit on her patio balcony. She has called the office since the third day she moved in on multiple occasions and was told they lost the key and would send Someone to do a lock change but here we are going on a month and they have yet to send someone to open the her storage unit door. Why because they arenā€™t collecting a fee? My sister moved in on September 11, today is October 4. Another big issue is that they have no link on the website to pay your bill. After calling for three consecutive days and even taking initiative to walk in to the office to ask for a link, my sister was never given or sent one to her email like the girl in the office said she would do. This in hand made my sister go out of her way to get a money order after working a difficult thirteen hour shift and losing her patient. My sister deals with enough at work trying to help save lives, she should not have to deal with these types of manageable situations that could be avoided if office personnel would do their job correctly and in a timely matter. I will say she has no plans to renew her lease and encourages her peers and coworkers to highly reconsider moving into these apartments after having dealt these and other issues that I did not go into detail about for example her guest bathroom ceiling rotting, the broken parking garages with open doors housing the homeless drug users, and the countless punched out holes in the corridors and of the walkways leading to my sisterā€™s front door of where she calls home.Update: I got in contact with the new property manager Jennifer. After stating my issues she was able to resolve some of the issue example making payments online. And she had Chris the maintenance supervisor come out the next morning to take care of the sink, ceiling and patio door lock. Thank you Chris! The only thing he was unable to fix were the punched holes in the walkway leading to my front door. He informed me that is the contractors job because it has to do with the construction of the building so itā€™s out of his hands. I have hope that the new property manager will take care of this issue for the fact that she is taking steps to get the place cleaned up for example all the extra stuff people hoard outside their living space has to go and enforcing clean up of pet waste if not get a fine. Way to go! I added 3 stars and will continue to edit as improvements are made.

    I recently made time to meet with the new property manager Liza. Ive lived here for 2 years and have seen so many different faces. I was hesitant about renewing. Things havent been perfect but after speaking with Liza, I feel confident things will change for the better. Im glad I was able to share some of my concerns and that they were actually listened to. Dont believe all of the reviews, things are definitely looking up.

    Great place. Easy access to SPID. Close to the mall and minutes way from the island. The office staff was friendly and always resolved any maintenance issues in a timely manner. Desiree was great, she would always ask if we needed anything and if we had any concerns when we would go to the office to grab a coffee and a snack. Pool was always clean.

    My experience has been great. They gave us the model home since we needed a bottom floor for my husband. They replaced the fridge the stove and fixed the plumbing, Changed out all the carpet and put in wood flooring for me. Always answer my questions and is always there within the hour i call to fix my problems or attempt too. Love the staff very nice and easy to talk too. Very respectful and go above and beyond to help us

    This property really met all of my expectations in an apartment home, & to top it off the staff & maintenance are all very helpful and friendly. The property is well maintained, and the apartment homes are worth it! Beautiful place to live!

    Iā€™ve lived here many years at Island Villa Apartments. Here are a list of some pros: friendly staff, nice pool and workout area, location, scheduled activities for apartment personnel to enjoy, reasonable rent, and the grounds are usually clean.Cons: we have had many issues with maintenance taking a very long time to fix problems we had (although while under newer management this issue has seemed to improve) and parking in designated areas are strictly enforced (tow trucks are seen regularly driving around to ensure this and will tow at YOUR expense).Overall, I enjoy living here. I would recommend checking out a tour.

    My experience getting into an apartment here was outstanding with the help of Ms. Rypli Felton! If youre having a bad day she will definitely lift you up with her amazing energy, you cant help but to be happy lol! Although the apartment is nice she is pretty much the reason you would rent here. If youre looking for a nice place to stay I would definitely recommend coming to Island Villa Apartments and please talk to Ms. Rypli Felton! She is amazing!

    Since we moved in here at Island Villa staff and maintenance have been very courteous and helpful.. every time there is something wrong in the apartment they get to it right away and get it fixed..     I lived at island Villa for a 4 years and have truly enjoyed my experience here. The facility is always clean, maintenance staff is skilled and timely, and the pool area is great! The staff is what sets the apartments apart from others. More than happy to accommodate and help you. I would highly reccomend you consider these apartments.

    Desirae in the front office did everything she could to get me into the exact apartment I wanted ! Best apartment ive ever lived in! Friendliest staff and super clean grounds. Always feel welcomed when going into the front office and they never hesitate to help as much as they can.

    We had great experience with Island Villa we were there for over 4yrs , staff are awesome ocassional thereā€™s issue at the apt. They fix it right away, regarding package delivery we never had any issue, like people steal package at your front door. Break in issue we never had any problem. I highly recommended, near to the free way.

    If you dont have a parking pass becareful where you park. Every night a towing company comes and tows alot of vehicles. There are not enought VISITORS PARKING spaces. Other then parking issues everything else is good.
