Weve lived here over 2 years and love it. The office staff are great, always willing to answer questions, friendly and never make you feel like theyre in a rush. There are plenty of activities to do as well, along with various vendors that come in. The apartment is large and comfortable. The indoor heated pool is available all year and the court yard is beautiful to sit on a pleasant day!! And its close to all types of shopping , Braums is in walking distance as is the senior center and a community park!!!

I have lived at Heritage village for the past 2 years, during that time I have received a great blessing. Shortly after moving in my wife of 36 years passed into glory. My life was in disarray and my heart was shattered. Living at Heritage Village has helped restore the emptiness I encounted with her loss. There are many activities here such as: bingo, karaoke,monthly birthday parties, weekly movies and an indoor swimming pool. Once a month an entertainer is brought in to provide music for the residents. There is also spiritual study offered weekly and once a month for those who wish there is a gathering of residents for prayer service. For the very active there is a senior center across the parking lot which offers a fitness center, chair volleyball, billards, and twice a month dance. The NE mall is one mile to the west of Heritage Village which puts it in easy location of shopping and restaurants. It is true utilities are not covered with the rent payment and each resident is responsible for their own grocery but management provides snacks each morning, except Sunday and many of the activities provide refreshments. Also management is most co-operate in matters concerning maintenance and other issues which may arise and trying to assist with parking spaces. Pets are allowed here.I am thankfull to be at Heritage Village and until I am carried away by angels or placed in a medical facility I will remain here. Heritage Village is an amazing community for senior living! Top notch management is always caring for the needs of the residents. The location is amazing, as it is sitting right next to a park, the senior center, Braums, etc. A great place to live!

I’ve been here for almost 7 years. The management is always super great, I love all the planned events and the family atmosphere. Heritage village is centrally located to all the businesses as well as having the senior center directly across the parking lot. More than anything Lesa, Nancy and Arianna make it home.

I have lived here three years and have seen much improvement over the years. Lesa (manager,) Nancy (assistant manager) and Arianna (leasing agent) are all working so hard to make this experience positive for everyone. Jorge and Franklin are the maintenance wizards who rock my world with super fast responses to my maintenance issues.I’ve recently moved from an upstairs apartment to one on the first floor. I had a two-page list of needs that would help make my new apartment handicap accessible (since I use a power chair.) Lesa and Nancy reviewed the list with me and then went over the list with Jorge and Franklin. Before I can even ask for a follow-up most of my requests were completed by all four of them working together. It’s incredible to have such cooperation!

I love my apartment. Location of Heritage is wonderful.We are right next door to the Hurst Senior Center, Braums and a beautiful park. Maintenance is very good, always completed in a timely manner. I have made many friends here and I am blessed to call this my home.

>>one year update know that our building is located BEHIND Braums and next door to the Hurst Senior Center...also, I suggest you get the monthly calendar while here and plan another visit to participate in one or more of our events to help with your decision making! I would still love to see improvement/replacement to the entrance/exit gates continually breaking down-installation of security cameras-and some type of cover/awning for the back door.*******I have lived here since October 2022 and after moving in we had a sudden, unexpected change in ownership and many amenities came to a halt. It was a very depressing, sad, and confusing time for many people here. New owners and management have really worked hard to fix it up and put it back to a nice place for us to live. Nice indoor heated pool-some residence use it for water aerobics a few times a week. Continental breakfast Monday thru Friday. Donuts on Saturdays. Beauty Salon available one day a week. Many residents led table games including bingo. There are vendors who come and provide important information and usually some type of snack. Small gym room with two pieces of equipment and TV- plus a big, nice gym next door at senior center. The apartments occasionally will provide entertainment with a lunch. The maintenance request are completed very fast. Outdoor sitting/flower garden area with a waterfall is nice and I hear it will be getting upgraded soon. I do not hear outside noise or noise from the other residence apartments very often, so the apartments are pretty soundproof. Senior Center right next door has plenty of events going on daily Monday thru Friday and we get free membership. Braums Ice Cream is right next door. Big Park next door with nice walking trail. You are required to pay for cable TV, no choice. We also have to pay our water bill which is much lower than I paid at my house I owned. You are required to have your own electric account and so far, that is still lower here than at my house. Space for washer and dryer in each apartment and also a laundry room with machines you can pay to use, if needed. Small library where you can get books and DVD movies. Theater room where they show movies. They allow pets and there are three very small dog areas but there is also the large park/trail next door. Two coffee bars available at all times. Guest apartment for friends and family to rent while visiting. Security gates to gated parking.Cons- I would love to see security cameras at least at the entrances and exits and some way to allow delivery people access to front door during closed hours when staff are not here and front door is locked. An awning over the back door entrance would be great due to a WATERFALL when it rains, and we get soaked trying to get the door open. Garden area sprinkler system needs to be repaired or replaced.

Update March 2024. My review at this time is that HERITAGE VILLAGE HAS RETURNED TO A GREAT PLACE.Many amenities are important to us; but at the top is our on-site personnel. Our new year has a full complement of friendly, helpful team members. Because of all , we have the amenities, social activities, and the maintenance to make us comfortable.Because I am confident with our team, I renewed my lease.Please come and meet Lesa, Nancy, Arianna, Jorge, Franklin, Abuk, and our residents.————————————————+Update December 2023: It has been a few months since I was disappointed in the new management, Valiant Corp., and their many decisions. Staff changes have been hectic, but now we are with Lisa as Manager and Nancy has returned as Assistant. We are happy. Lisa held us together for the last few months and finally was recognized by Corporate. Social activities have returned and the New Year looks bright for our Village.THANK YOU LISA. WELCOME BACK NANCY.Our maintenance staff is super, better than ever. All staff is very supportive of our residents.Our location is the best, out the front door and walk to the Hurst Senior Center, the Hurst Community Park, and Braum’s.Although we will never have our own shuttle bus again. Those of us that need transportation have learned to navigate the low-cost ride services offered to Hurst residents.Below was my review from approximately 8 months ago. Obviously a disappointed resident at that time. Much better today.—————————————————-Heritage village is no longer a premier independent senior, living apartment. New owner/management has eliminated important amenities for independent seniors.GONE: shuttle bus — a necessity for the seniors unable to drive to grocery store and group outings.GONE: catered lunches with entertainment — in-house, social, gatherings cementing friendship within our “village.”GONE: cable, TV contract — now each must purchase individually at a higher rate than a bulk contractCLOSED: pool closed indefinitely.PLEASE NOTE: RESIDENT DOLLARS were and are supporting the above; those dollars continue to go to the new owner. There is no reduction in our rent.At Heritage, neighbors greet each other in the halls and common areas. Residence run the various table games and potluck dinner. As independent seniors we seek a ”village,” not just another cold apartment building with subtle threats of receiving a lease violation, or a shrugged shoulder from management.So, what is good: location, continental breakfast provided by management, some staff, and building maintenance is definitely improving.Update: one month ago, I wrote the above review. Owners response was to contact the resident services. I did, twice, no response, So, I guess my issues we’re not important for them to discuss with me.Update 6/23 the Cable contract has been renegotiated. Residents are now able to continue receiving the same cable service, but at an increase in cost to the individual resident. Residence cannot opt out of the cable service..

I love this facility!I have friends that lived there for several years and she cried when they left.Donna,the property manager goes above n beyond to insure the residents stay safe, informed and active! I always enjoyed watching the interaction between all the seniors.Heritage also offers alot of services that help to assist their residents with everything from hair appointments to Doctor appointments,which is always an additional plus for their families!When the time comes I hope that iam blessed to live in a facility half as good as Heritage!

I have lived here; a year in September. A review stated it’s pricey; the amenities are great, one building is great when weather isn’t agreeable. I feel safe and that means a lot to ones who aren’t getting younger!😄I’m impressed with office staff and maintinence! I’ve never had anyone rolling eyes or curt!Our courtyard is large and beautiful, potluck, ladies socials, always something to look forward to!

Great community in a wonderful location! Located next to the Hurst Senior Center (literally across the parking lot) that offers all kinds of activities, in addition to all of the activities at Heritage Village. I also love that it’s right by the community park, which is a great place to walk. Oh, and be sure to ask for Lesa. She’s so kind and helpful and really knows all about Hurst.

I recently came into Heritage Village looking for a place for my mother. We are just trying to do our research. I was greeted by the leasing agent, Nancy. She was a sheer delight, knowledgeable, professional, and just heart-warming. I was pleased to find out that her mother is a resident. Talk about believing in what you sell! I was also pleased to find out that Heritage Village provides services such as a continental breakfast and package delivery! I was so impressed by Nancy and Heritage Village that I will no longer be researching. This is where I will be choosing to put mom when the time comes!

My brother and I visited Heritage Village recently to begin our preliminary search for a place for our Mom and Dad to live. It was decided that they no longer wanted the responsibility of a home. After getting a tour and being shown a model apartment by Nancy, Heritage is definitely on our short list. Nancy was great! She answered all our questions including the safety measures in place due to Covid-19. I was thoroughly impressed.

If you are looking for a place to live and are 55+, you need to check out this location. Great place to live with access to the senior center and park right behind building.The office and maintenance staff are great to work with. A lot of activities are set for each month which allow the residents to get together and visit.

Our friend lives here and she loves it. There are a lot of activities scheduled, and there is a great sense of community. The outside is very clean, and it is quiet there. Our friends unit is well kept up. We have not seen other units, but ahe says they are also well kept.

Ive only lived here one month. I had to move to the area with little notice and was given a week to find a place to live; not an easy task. Every place I looked at just didnt look or feel right and I went to HV on the advice of a co-worker. Im an older, employed professional looking for a nice, safe place and QUIET.In all my years, I can safely say that this is the quietest place Ive ever lived. The residents on both sides of me have little yippy dogs, and yet, I have never heard either dog bark. The walls must be made of concrete.You cannot ask for better neighbors. This apartment building is like a little private community in the middle of a big city. In fact, that is exactly what it is.And the staff is wonderful. Ive never heard much positive about any apartment management company, this one must be different. Maintenance requests are handled quickly and any interactions Ive had with the staff have been positive. My co-worker steered me right.

Very nice place for seniors but high priced. However the common areas are well maintained, apartments are large, and very convenient to shopping and the Hurst Senior Center. It also has an indoor pool which is great with available classes from the Senior Center.
