When considering a place to live, look elsewhere. Times are hard, and trust me, these folks couldn’t care less. If it’s not about the money, it’s not their problem. I’ve been here since before the apartment glow-up. At first, I thought, Wow, this is going to be amazing! Maybe I’ll stick around until I’m ready to upgrade. But now? Oh, how I wish I could afford to leave.Sure, you can slap a fresh coat of paint on a building, but you can’t hide the cracks. Did you know they’ve banned window AC units—yes, banned—even when it’s 75 degrees or hotter? They care more about the building’s curb appeal than the people baking inside it. And no, cracking a window doesn’t help. Not when the gates are broken, and strangers wander in like it’s an open house.Upper E might be gone, but its spirit of chaos lives on. Eastwind Apartments is nothing but a new name and cheap paint. They don’t care about your comfort, just your cash.Now, to end on a high note (because I’m trying to be positive here): the building does look stunning from the outside. Every time I pull up, I feel like I’m living in some fancy estate… until I step inside. Also, when I renewed my lease, my rent only went up by $10, so that’s nice.I want to love living here again because this place used to bring me joy. But things need to change. Robots shouldn’t be running the show as if actual humans don’t live in these apartments. And if you’re going to rely on robots, at least make sure they’re programmed to fix things quickly. They’re hiring, but apparently, hiring people is too much work.To sum it up: I like where I live. I just don’t like how we’re living.

The staff at Upper E are very friendly and attentive. They have been very helpful since the first day I was looking for an apartment. Every workorder I have submitted has been completed in a timely manner. I have only had one bad experience since I’ve been there and Luz the property manager handled it the very same day. Luz is always understanding with her residents and she always makes time to visit with you. Luis her assistant is always friendly and is always willing to help you in anyway that he can. The leasing staff always greets you when you walk in and makes sure to ask if everything is okay in your apartment. The maintenance staff always greets you when they see you on property and makes sure to ask if everything is working properly in your apartment. I have seen them go far and beyond for the residents. Overall I love and enjoy my apartment it’s very quite and cozy. I never have any issues with the others residents. So thank you to everyone at Upper E for your generosity!

After reading so many negative reviews I couldn’t help but truly fall in love with my apartment! I love the area and it is so convenient! Esther was so amazing helping me get approved in a matter of days! Maintenance is always punctual and grounds are kept clean! Myrna and Stephanie are always helpful when calling the office! I am so happy with upper E don’t let the negative comments ruin this amazing gem! I am so happy to call this place home!

I had a nice experience renting my new apartment. I moved to a unit of 2 bedrooms with appliances in stainless steel, new fans and nice lamps. The floor was renovated everything new. I walked to the office just looking for information but Esmeralda Padilla was so helpful that she worked with me till I found what I needed. Every single question I made she answered it. She made my process more easy. The manager Luz is a really good person too. You can feel the good attention they give to you when you go to the office. Thats part of what I liked of renting here. I only have 1 month living here and so far I can say that Im satisfied with my apartment. Im so waiting the summer to come so we can have fun in the pool!!!!

New Management is top notch. If you have an issue it is addressed by the maintenance team and the proper crew is dispatched to remedy. Nice new smiling faces in the office that greet you with professionalism and take care of business.

I see a few 1-star reviews dating back from months ago and after reading some of these reviews, I can assure you some of the negative opinions are severely out-dated. Ive lived here since July of 2015 and I can tell you the staff has improved by 100%. Its actually a night and day difference between the time I moved in and now, January 2016. The two ladies up front, Erica and Josie, are very helpful, respectful, attentive and will go above and beyond for your needs. Anytime I have had a problem, they have impressed me with their promptness and ability to get things done. The manager Luz is very good at her job as well. Anytime I have a request, the three of them make sure that it is handled in a timely fashion and not once have I had to go back to mention a problem twice. The maintenance staff has vastly improved as well. They have brought in a few guys that really know what they are doing. I would definitely re-sign up here when my lease term is over.

So far so good! The apartment unit itself is great, and the staff that helped me out with finding the right place for my room mate and I were incredibly helpful. Cecilia helped us find a nice place within our budget that suited us well. Her enthusiastic attitude, along with the help of Angelica and Celia is what brought us to the Strands. The unit is definitely spacious for two people, plently of potential for decorating and creating our own innovative living space. I would definitely love if the other tenants were a younger crowd and the walls slightly thicker, but other than that i have no complaints. Thanks to Cecilia,Angelica, and Celia.

The management are super friendly always responses quickly to and issues on any of their properties and all issues are resolved. Melissa is great at her job and is committed to help as well Kandice.Two thumbs up for the maintenance crew who keep the apartments grounds clean and excellent job to address any issues in a timely manner. Well secured properties. I really like living here.

Myrna helped me so much yesterday that Id like to acknowledge my appreciation. A representative from a non-profit organization met with me and Myrna to discuss the temporary assistance Im in need of since my husbands passing last month. Not only did Myrna prepare me before the meeting by telling me what documents would be needed, but she also guided me throughout the meeting. The rep has worked with Myrna on occasion and told me how much she appreciates her knowledge and experience. In addition, I appreciate the professionalism shes shown with me and the rep throughout the process. I think Myrnas help played a large part in me getting approved for assistance. Thanks again Myrna for going the distance with me!!!!

I have lived comfortably at Upper E for quite some time now and recommend it to anyone who is looking into renting here. Of course situations can arise, but Im thankful that there is a property manager like Luz. She attentively listens to any concerns, acts quickly into getting any situation fixed or corrected and truly cares in the tenants making Upper E our home. Also appreciated is Candices warm and friendly personality when walking into the office, which creates an inviting environment for the tenants and anyone looking into joining the community.

Love my apartment. I also love how promptly service request get handled and the professionalism of the office staff. Kandice is my go to girl for anything that I need done with my apartment. She’s very knowledgeable and her costumer service is second to none (which I’m a huge stickler about). I’m really glad I signed for another year here.

I currently live at Upper E Apartments have been here since Oct 2014. When I read these reviews Im shocked ! From the moment I moved in I have not had any problems with the office staff or with any service request not being complete. That is why Im writing my review to say that I personally recommend Upper E to everyone I know. I also recommend you go and speak to the young lady Jessica Cruz she is very helpful and she is the one that helped me when I move in. It has been a nice place to live in so far !

Im going to gt a Nee Apartment today everything is good th apartment looks really good I think it will be a nice 👍🙂🙂🙂👍😎 place to live..... After living here for a Year it Totally Sucks We had no Hot Water the entire time in the Winter the AIR CONDITIONER dont work We spent almost the Entire Summer with no Air I would not let My Old Dog Stay Here its Trashy Cant even Explain the Roaches We contained Them in Combat Pens bought 5 to be exact Dont Even Think About Living Here on a Scale of 1 to 10 I give it a -10

This has easily been the most painless moving process that I have ever experienced. Alexis and Arianna are so AMAZING at what they do. Alexis is definitely Wonder Woman running around everywhere doing EVERYTHING. People need to appreciate the hard work that people put in to help them with this process. Everyone at this office has been very nice and professional.

Parked my car in visitor parking and it was towed over night, the appartments smell of mold and mildew. Its an old building with very poor maint, and a horrible office staffEdit. I agree within the guy below me, staff is much improved and maintenance has also gotten better. Washer and dryers still suck

Going on two years and a half with Upper E and although it needs some changes! I will say Im very pleased with the support I get from Candice Canaday !!! Candice is my go to girl! when ever I need something taken care of with my apartment. Shes been kind,courteous and makes my concerns top priority with any every situation she just amazing! I live at the Sherman Oaks location. It is not the NICEST place to live, but, as with anything in this world, you get what you pay for. Everyone in my community is very friendly and nice. Everyone waves and says hi. Upper E keeps the complex nice (landscape).Anytime I needed something fixed, they came the same day. I have lived here for 4 months so far, and I will probably re-new my lease. Again, it isnt a $1200 apartment off of Mckinney Ave, and I do see the occasional bug (get over it people!), but its nice and cheap.

I recently rented an apartment at the Upper E at 6127 Gaston Avenue in Dallas Texas. The entire staff has been wonderful. Candace and Melissa are professionals and handled every request immediately. The apartment is lovely. The maintenances staff, Guerremo, Guerremo and Javier are the best! These three men were so patient and kind as I was stressed out from moving across the country. These apartments have made a total 180 degree turn around ....I have been here before about 5 years ago and I left very unhappy ....I decided to give them another shot and I’m glad I did ...I just finished my one year lease and I’m so happy I came back !! Although my complex and unit need some changes, I applaud Upper E Leasing Consultant, Candice Canaday, for going all out to resolve any issues and she always does it with a smile on her face. Her sunny attitude is very calming, her professionalism above reproach and she does exactly what she says she will, which is rare in this world. Candice should move to management, as she has the skills and the potential to be extrememly effective. 5 Stars, Candice!

Large complex spaces for different sized families whether hs student or newly out of colledge grad these r the bomb included r the living room and kitchen and bedroom. all complexes have on site washers dryers and great space. they are not prefurnished because it isnt a responsibility for them.otherwise they rock
