Sometimes it took multiple maintenance requests and going to the office to get the maintenance work order done.Staff may want to remind resident around 2-3 months that if you’re going to move out, you need to submit the notice in 2 months in advance.Staff was very helpful when my husband passed away. Overall I had no major issue.

I have lived here since February 2018. This is my family. Management to maintenance have been so kind and thoughtful. I have no family to speak of except the family at Deer Cross. I thank them for dedication to everyone who lives here. Love and prayers go to all of you!

Great apartments to call home! I have stayed here for over 8 months and the outside is always kept neat and clean no matter what. Pet friendly community. Neighbors are very welcoming. The few times I’ve had issues with maintenance Michael their Service Tech and Mitchell their service Manager have been on top of it and fix the issue right away. Since day one Krystal the Leasing Consultant and Kathy the Manager have been very professional, friendly and helpful in any questions or concerns I’ve had. If your looking for a great place to call home in any situation you may be in Deer Cross Apartmets is your place!!

Deer Cross is an awesome place to move to! It was superior to any I have seen lately! The service was impressive!!!! Plan on staying for a few years! My apartment was completely move in ready when they said it would be and if anything was wrong, they were already on it! They are the best! My maintenance is taken care of post haste! Wonderful people!!!!! There are issues with people complaining about pest control. For starters, the only ones complaining are the ones whos apartments are nasty to walk into. They dont want people coming in and telling how nasty it is. I personally love having the pest control! The nasty people with roaches will give them to other apartments in the building. I do not have roaches or anything else in my apartment because of 2 reasons; 1-I keep my house very clean, 2- pest control services by my complex! The pest control services should be kept for the residents and get rid of the problem! There is no trash at my side of the building. I love my apartment and the people that run it! Kudos to Karli and Beth!!!!

I love this complex!! The new management seems a lot nicer and on the nose to fix stuff. Good apartments and ALMOST everyone who lives here takes good care of their pets... keeps them on leashes, picks up after them..This review - 10/10 complex; flies in the summer but just pour a sprinkle of bleach in your sinks and you’ll have no problem. Easily accessible units exist 1st floor for those with mobility issues. Very nice Mgmt. Stay away from the annoying barking dog on the balcony in the corner of the building next to the dumpster. Yes he will not stop barking, ever. No other dogs are kept on their balcony barking like crazy for extended periods of time (other pet owners sit outside with their pets to watch them and make sure they aren’t barking). Super nice neighbors for the most part. Put Marley (the barking dog) inside and close the balcony door 2021. Or please train him to not bark for extended periods of time. Especially after 1AM. 1 AM dog balcony curfew?Edit: I edited wording so this wasn’t as much of a rage induced no sleep hate on how another pet owner did not train their dogs and will not watch/keep them under control/leaves them on the balcony during late late night hours while the owners are away. I do like the complex, though. High key do not let me dissuade you from the complex - 99% of pet owners are really the sweetest, and they all pick up after their pets, keep them on leashes/under control, etc. It’s an ideal place to bring pets if you take good care of them and they’re trained and respectful. It’s the corner dog that makes my headaches regular.

One of the best apartments I’ve lived at. Mgmt and leasing dept are the best. I was living in California and needed an apt prior to moving back. Carleigh was amazing in getting my lease ready for me to sign online and keys ready for pick up the day I arrived. Simple, easy, no fuss.

I have been a resident for a year and havent had any complaints. Rent is fair for the apartment sizes, location, and amenities. Plus, pet friendly is a huge plus. It is easy to have your needs met if anything in your place malfunctions.Definitely look into Deer Cross for housing.

When I moved to Lufkin for a job. They focused on my needs and wants and got me the best apartment for my buck. They are Pet Friendly so that was a plus. I have enjoyed leasing plus every time I put in a work order they come by within 24 hours! Moving from the Austin Area to Lufkin was stressful but the staff at Deer Cross made it possible for me to feel at home! Place is well kept and their M,W,F curbside trash pick up is amazing! I can see why this place came highly recommended to me when I was making my transition!
