    Iā€™ve lived at Cortland at Oak Lawn for six years, and itā€™s been an amazing experience! The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the maintenance team is truly incredible. Christian, in particular, deserves a huge shoutoutā€”heā€™s super nice, always willing to go above and beyond, and genuinely cares about the residents. Any time Iā€™ve needed something, heā€™s handled it quickly and efficiently. Itā€™s rare to find that level of dedication! Highly recommend living here if youā€™re looking for a well-managed, community-oriented place.

    I had the pleasure of touring this property, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was knowledgeable and kind. I understand that there are always concerns when living in a big city, especially Dallas, but this community appears to do its very best in implementing preventative measures. From trash management to safety to general upkeep, it seems they truly care about their residents!

    I lived here for a year and had a great experience. The staff are all friendly and responsive. The property is clean, secure, and quiet, and everything in the units is high quality. The central location is also great, and despite being next to the highway and bars it is very quiet once youre inside. Planes landing at Love Field frequently fly over, but they stop at night so it never interfered with sleep. I never had trouble finding garage parking, and the Amazon lockers made deliveries so easy.

    I lived here for 12 months. Here is my experience:The maintenance team is just great. They are so nice and take care of issues very quickThe house keeping and cleaning team also are awesome. They work hard and keep the common areas so cleanOffice staff are good specially Tyler. He is so nice and friendly and helpful.Location of the apt is also very convenient.If you pick an apartment that facing pool and parking garage you need thick curtains because parking structure lights are on 24/7 so at nights your place is not gonna be dark and you need thick curtains. Also pool is so noisy in the summer time sometimes.Move out was easy, I well kept the apartment and also did a good cleaning before departure so I did not get charged for any repair or cleaning.

    This is for all those people stressing and scouting for a new apartment! My time living at cortland on oaklawn has been a total of 4 years! That alone should speak for itself however it is all because of the amazing maintenance staff and the phenomenal leasing manager they have, Rodney! I personally do not like to write reviews unless something or someone really makes an impact on my views and Rodney most certainly did by ALWAYS being helpful, polite, cordial, kind and patient.While living here Ive met new friends at our pool, or during mixers/meet and greet along with trying new foods with food trucks that are hosted by our leasing manager Rodney! I think thats what I will miss the most, not having to worry about much when I come home to my apartment. we are only moving out because we finally purchased our dream condo but otherwise we would have absolutely without a doubt extended our lease because I know that theres nothing the maintenance team or Rodney could not take care of regarding my home from past experience. Also it helps that I live/lived in one of 4 apartments that is surrounded by floor to ceiling windows with a view of downtown, including the longest island I have ever seen! I forgot to mention that it also comes with SONO speakers built into the wall for surround sound, now thats what I call luxury! I have hosted many dinners or watch partys and am never shy of a compliment about how breathtaking my apartment is and I have Cortland to thank for that!

    My girlfriend and I have lived at Cortland Oaklawn for about a year and a half now. Weve really grown to love our space and enjoy staying in this neighborhood. The office team has been so accommodating to our needs as well. Weve recently had to renew leases for shorter time frames, renew lease again but had to figure out for how long, and during the whole process Rondy was extremely helpful and patient. We couldnt have asked for a more understanding Community Manager.I also wanna shout out Eva, Tyler, and Jose in the office. Every time I go into the office for anything theyre all super nice and incredibly helpful. Ive bugged Tyler for stupid things more than once and hes always helping me out.The maintenance crew is really great too. Made friends with Cristian and Martin soon as we moved in, helped me take care of some stuff in the apt on move in and anytime we put up a service request they take care of it the same or next day.The cleaning crew does a great job too, always friendly when I see them and say Hi and do a great job keeping all of the common areas nice.Its been a great experience so far and ultimately when its time for us to move out, well definitely miss it!

    Iā€™ve been here and year and I can not explain how AMAZING my experience has been here.Cortland management company has been amazing, from arriving and touring the community to filling out applications and getting approved.The office staff (Rondy) the community manager has the best staff and team behind him. If I have any issues I know I can communicate with him and heā€™ll resolve them without hesitation! Amazing community, always clean and very well kept. Maintenance always takes care of my apartment needs on a timely manner. Iā€™m always greeted upon entering the office, this community is now family!forever grateful of the experience I have here ā¤ļøThanks so much , Jose, Rondy, Cristian and Martin !

    I recently had the pleasure of leasing an apartment at Cortland Oak Lawn, and I could not express enough how seamless the entire process was, thanks to Rodney, Tyler and the rest of the team. I am relocating from Washington DC to Oak Lawn, and I was initially very nervous about finding the right place remotely. However, Tyler went above and beyond by conducting a thorough Zoom tour for me, showing me all the amenities and answering all my questions about the area. His knowledge and professionalism instantly put me at ease.Throughout the process, Rodney was helpful and responsive, making sure every detail was taken care of promptly and efficiently. His dedication to ensuring a smooth transition was evident, and I couldnt be more grateful for his assistance.Based on my experience, I have full confidence that this team is truly capable and committed to providing exceptional service to residents.     A Home away from Home...I moved here from Dubai in July 2019, I couldnā€™t have made a better decision.Starting with customer service, the team (Rondy, Ansley, Savannah) is very helpful friendly and accommodating. Always going out of their way, the extra mile to assist.The location is superb, easy access to North Toll Way, Stemmons, and walking distance to multiple shopping areas including Kroger on Cedar Springs. Yet far enough from the main roads to avoid speedy vehicles.As for the property, the apartments are very well maintained, clean, with excellent finishing. The amenities are great, common room where many social events take place, a large swimming pool, and great Gym for different workout styles. Plenty of parking space to accommodate residents. And lastly a posh business center and free coffee service. Most importantly I appreciate the safety level at the property.

    When I moved to Dallas I toured about 6 apartments all within the same general area. Since they were all in the oaklawn/turtle creek area the location of any one didnā€™t stand out to me. However, after touring Cortland and reading reviews of the management at all the complexes I decided to sign with Cortland.Iā€™ve been here a year and have just resigned. I think the office does a great job at getting back to you for any questions and helping you fix any apartment issues if they come up. Tyler and Jose are especially helpful & attentive. For example, my Amazon & UPS packages were not getting placed in the lockers and Tyler held them at the front office for me so they wouldnā€™t get locked in a locker I didnā€™t have access to.I also felt safe in this complex compared to others. Cortland doesnā€™t allow short term renters like Airbnb/subletters & there is a lock at every door making it difficult for just anyone to wander in.I would recommend Cortland Oaklawn because of its great staff, maintenance team, and location.

    I cannot stress enough how great my experience at Cortland Oak Lawn has been. I have been here since before Cortland took over and it has been nothing but positive improvements ever since. The best thing about this complex is that the attention to detail never changes. I was not promised one thing with new management and given another. This team has far exceeded its promises at every turn. No matter who I deal with, from the leasing office to the maintenance team, I am always given the best service. The clubhouse and business center areas are always well-kept. Even my visitors commend how nice everything is when they visit. I love being able to take a trip right downstairs to grab an early morning, sometimes late night, treat at the coffee center. If you are looking for a great place to call home, I know that all you need to do is book a viewing and you will be sold too!

    I currently live at another community in Dallas and while I do enjoy living here, I have never experienced such amazing customer service until visiting Cortland Oak Lawn! The team is very knowledgeable and personable. I previously toured with my roommate and was set to apply for that home the same day! The floor plans are very spacious, the hallways are extremely clean, and the location is unbeatable. I 10/10 recommend.

    I visited several communities before touring at Cortland Oak Lawn and the moment I walked through those doors I already knew I would be calling this place home! At the time, I was helped by the Community Manager, Julia who toured me twice that day. I was so excited after my first tour, I even went back to show my mom and to introduce her to Julia! I was so impressed by the customer service from her, the office team, and the service team as well! They even mounted my TV for me! I am so thankful to have a place like this to call home and live at a community where the team knows you by name and truly cares about your living experience.

    If I could give 10 stars I would! Iā€™mnew to the community and Julia, Rodney & Tyler are awesome! They have made my moving process a breeze and very stress free. They are very attentive and will help you get through anything big or small. Everyone in the office is very personable which makes the living experience that much better. Iā€™ve personally had horrible management experiences in the past and I can say it feels good to be seen and heard. To know that you live in a safe community and to know that people actually care about you as a person as well as having those same people in your corner who genially wants to see you succeed is everything!     Cortland Oak Lawn is truly the best apartment I have ever lived in. The staff are so welcoming, helpful, and understanding, and I am so grateful for my time here! The apartments are beautiful and modern, and there are so many amenities. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet and super close to restaurants and nightlife. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking to move to Dallas/Oak Lawn.

    Hands down - BEST STAFF EVER!!! Rondi and his team are super cool. They take care of everything that needs taken care of - INCLUDING things that other property managers have slacked on in my past rental experiences. The building is fine. Its clean and well-maintained (shout out to Christian and his maintenance team). All in all, you wont find a better leasing agent than Rondi.

    Ive been at Cortland Oaklawn for almost 7 months now and its been nothing but fantastic. When my roommate and I were searching for a new apartment earlier this year, Jessica was our leasing consultant and she was so friendly and helpful through every step of the rental process, especially compared to other apartments we had toured were the consultants didnt give off nice impressions. The area is a short drive to uptown and downtown, and just a short walk to the strip on Cedar Springs. Another positive is that Cortland does a great job with communication, as well as keeping the property clean and safe for residents. Nothing but praise for this complex!

    Ive lived here 3 going on 4 years now and I dont plan on ever leaving this community unless Im buying a house. The leasing team here is amazing and has done so much to make Im taken care of even if its the smallest things. The community is by far in the best location when it comes to surrounding area.     Since my first visit here my experience has been the best Iā€™ve had. Jessica was my agent and has been cheerfully helpful in so many ways, handling all of my initial questions and assisting when I requested an apartment change to another unit about a month in to a floor plan that opened up after I had already moved in. The other staff including Julia and Rondy have always been super helpful and always in a great mood. They still call me by my name whenever I see them in the halls. If thatā€™s important to you then you will love it here. If other things like super clean apartments and hallways, a great gym facility, beautiful pool area, food trucks, an occasional free breakfast, a random rotation of free candy/popcorn machine/etc. and quiet and respectful neighbors also interest you then you will be in very good shape here!

    I have lived at Cortland Oak Lawn for 4 years and have loved my time here. What really stands out is the terrific level of service provided by the staff and maintenance team. All of them truly have a friendly and helpful attitude; in all my time living here, I cant say I ever had a frustrating or negative interaction with anyone. The maintenance team are also super quick to respond to service requests (always by the next day) and also super nice. Great amenities as well (pool/gym), although their use is understandably a little restricted these days due to Covid. For anyone moving to Dallas like I did back in 2016, Cortland Oak Lawn is a great place to call your new home!!

    I love this complex. I had a few minor occurrences happen when I first moved in that Christian took care of immediately. I think that I was one of Jessicas first clients, and she is amazing...I have texted her on a few occasions, and she immediately responds. Complex is 2 minutes from grocery stores, 2 minutes from gas stations, 2 minutes from great restaurants/night life. The rent is fairly expensive but is well worth it. Its a very busy area, yet the complex is quiet and feels very safe. I will be renewing my lease next year when it comes up...have lived all over Dallas in the past 20 years, but this is my favorite place, and my friends/family who visit me all agree.

    This place is GREAT! I have lived at this property for over a year now and just renewed my contract. Staff and property are great, responsive and very helpful. Rondy is the man who made everything easy for me. From when I first moved in to renewing my contact for a two bedroom apartment. He always is willing to help. Also not mention Ive shown up to the front office minutes before they close and he still helped me before he walked out.

    I have been here almost a month and I absolutely love my apartment. The staff truly cares about their residents. I did have a few conditional issues occurring in my unit when I moved in, but the maintenance team fixed/replaced every issue quickly. Again, Iā€™m so happy here.

    I moved in here in 2021 and to be honest, I couldnā€™t be happier, especially coming from 2 neighboring complexes where one was like living in the dumps with dog s**t in the hallways and the otherā€™s property staff that would verbally attack and threaten their residents, on camera mind you, and their management would do nothing about it.The property is clean and Iā€™ve never had anything but good experiences with the property staff. My AC was having issues during the summer and instead of working to try and fix it, they replaced the whole unit with a brand new one, and put together a gift basket for the inconvenience.Any issues inside my unit and maintenance is usually always here same day to resolve them.My lease was recently up for renewal and the property manager Julia personally worked with me to get a renewal rate that was a few hundred less than the standard renewal rate given.I see people posting negative reviews but I personally canā€™t relate to any of them so, maybe theyā€™re just people who are never satisfied.

    I really love living here, and grateful I could find a place so close to my job The apartments are so well maintained, and it has been so quiet and peaceful ever since I moved in. The pool area is really nice, and so are the Amazon lockers. I have never used the tide locker laundry service, but I think it is a nice convenience. I feel safe with my car locked in the garage . My trash is always picked up outside my front door. I like the online community, where your neighbors can post pics of things theyā€™re selling and random things about the apartment complex.

    I love this community! The floor plans are spacious and reasonably priced considering youā€™re in Oak Lawn. The community is extremely clean and safe, no issues with break ins or other anything like that. Not to mention the front office and maintenance team are extremely helpful and so nice. I truly love this community and I am happy to be a resident!

    Prior resident here - I accidentally shipped an important package to my old address at Cortland Oaklawn. I immediately called the leasing office and got connected to Tyler. Tyler went out of his way to look everywhere for my package (contacted USPS, looked through his system, searched through packages on the ground, walked the hallways, and probably even called Santa too he was so thorough) He did find it and stored it in the front office for me. I cant thank Tyler enough for his amazing customer service!! He saved me from tears. Cortland is lucky to have him!!

    I knew from the day I toured Cortland Oak Lawn would be the place I would call home. and I was absolutely right. The staff is incredible, the community is beautiful, and the view from my apartment is absolutely perfect. I never have issues with parking for myself or guests and have actually started working out because of their amazing gym. I have lived here 3 years and am still loving it as much as when I first moved in. Stars across the board!!

    Truly enjoyed my time while living here! I move out in a few weeks, but would have renewed, if my roommate decided to stay another year! The maintenance is great. Miguel and Sergio are on top of everything. The office staff is also so helpful if you have any question (like where is the breaker, yes, i had to call and ask lol). Also the neighborhood is great, a lot of people walk their dogs around, very pet friendly!

    Great community! Been living here for 2 years and plan on staying a while more. Maintenance is always on top of things and Jose, Heater and Rondi from the leasing office are always so helpful with residents needs and finding the best options for us.One of my favorite things is that the sidewalks and common areas are always clean, that is really nice when walking the dog around which I do daily, other buildings around donā€™t care much for their streets the same way.

    I lived here for over 2 years and itā€™s been a great community. Thicker walls and better insulation than any other complex Iā€™ve lived in. Nice yards, secure package lockers and a safe neighborhood to walk your dog in! Management and maintenance are really the highlight here. They have always been so quick to help with any problem and they take a lot of pride in the community. I regret moving out!

    Ill start this review by saying how absolutely beautiful this complex is. The apartments themselves are breathtaking, with amazing finishes and a ton of space! The amenities and the pool/balcony views are just as gorgeous as well!From the first time we toured this property, until I moved back to the Dallas area after leaving the military, Rondy was extremely professional, courteous, and knowledgeable no matter what questions we had, making sure my transition back was as smooth as possible.I would HIGHLY recommend living here!!

    Would highly recommend living here at Cortland. Awesome staff and fast great service. Rondy was very engaging with me when I first inquired about the property very genuine and helpful. Edward helped replace my water filter and some lights that were about to go out. He fixed the issue no questions asked. The Apt complex is close to everything yet tucked away, where its nice and quiet. Glad I moved here.

    There are a few minor points of frustration with the apartment, but that just comes with living in a large apartment community in a popular area. However I want to take a minute to talk about the staff..They are so amazing! Ansley is the employee Ive had the most interaction with, and she is AMAZING! Very kind, helpful, patient, professional, and genuinely an amazing employee all around.The rest of the staff is awesome too and are always extremely helpful (one even let me borrow her tanning lotion when I forgot mine, how nice is that?!) Apologies that I cant call them all out by name for the amazing service they provide.All in all, Im quite happy with this complex and its staff and I highly recommend it.Ansley, Im not sure if you or your boss will see this, but if you do, you should get a raise or bonus or something! :)

    I moved in over a year ago and I have had nothing but excellence from the property and the staff here. The maintenance crew is completely top-notch they fix anything that I ask them in less than 24 hours. Anytime I have any kind of issues or problems I can immediately go to the office and itā€™s rectified almost instantly. Perfect location and the gym is amazing.

    This is the first review I have posted about an apartment community. I work for an airline, I have lived in many places and several communities in different states. Cortland Oaklawn has been the best. Special thanks to Rondy, Julia and the rest of the staff, they always said hi when they saw me at the gym or in the halls Since I travel often, always in an airplane itā€™s hard for me to get things done and email is my main source of communication. The office always returned my emails quickly. Any work orders I created for my apt or community (missing weights in gym, etc) were always addressed very quickly. I always felt like they cared and they definitely made it easier since I was gone frequently. No community is immune to problems - people who donā€™t clean up after pets, small leaks after a major flood, but cortland always addressed the issues quickly. I loved having the dry cleaning lockers and Amazon package machine for when I was away. The community is located in a great area near oaklawn and walking distance to many restaurants, bars, groceries, etc. there is plenty of guest parking (always an issue at properties) and electric car chargers.     Iā€™ve lived at my current apartment community for 3 years now including almost 2 year before Cortland took over management of the community. Their management of the property has been exceptional. They kept the existing staff and supplemented with new personnel that have been very helpful and attentive to my needs as a long standing resident. They proceeded to make some necessary upgrades around the property including updates to the fitness center, adding Amazon Locker system for packages, and updating all of the pool furniture. They also took over managing the valet trash internally rather than using a third party vendor and implemented parking stickers for resident vehicles. They were also quick to react to major issues during and after the severe freeze weather during the first couple months of 2021. I highly recommend living in communities that they manage.

    My husband and I lived here for a year and I was so sad to have to leave due to relocation. To women living alone and looking for an apartment, the garage feels safe and everything is well lit. There are cameras as well.I personally saw the maintenance staff coming and going all the time because of my apartments location in the complex. They always remembered me and were quick to say hello and ask how I was. They never took long to come look at anything in the apartment either. Their customer service went beyond maintaining the complex.If you do hear music or loud neighbors from time to time, the curtesy officer always resolved the issue fairly quick in my experience. It was maybe just two or three times during our entire lease.Ansley in the office was always very professional and made our transition in and out of our apartment super easy. One of my favorite complexes Ive lived in.

    Cortland Oaklawn is amazing! Its just steps from the Oaklawn nightlife, and just a quick and easy Uber to downtown. The community is kept like new and the clubhouse is insane. That being said the real reason to stay here is the staff. Ive never had a maintenance issue past 24 hours (Always detailed notes when they come in and out,) and the office staff is certainly the cream of the crop. Ansley is the backbone of the community and will fix any issue you might have, while Rondy and Anthony are always a blessing. If you want to live in the Uptown/Oaklawn area, this is your home!

From the first day we came in to look at the apartments to two years later when we moved out to buy our home, I can honestly say the management and leasing team were always professional and at times miraculous. The maintenance team always did what they said they would do with a professional and happy mannered way.When it comes to renewal of your lease you have to sell yourself to the leasing person handling your renewal. Remind them if you referred people to boost their occupancy or helped at community parties. One hand washes the other. If you been a disturbance to the community and a complainer then you get what you get.     Excellent and responsive staff: immediately after alerting Cortland Oak Lawn personnel that my house keys dropped into a large storm drain grate in the garage, they dropped everything and came to my aid. The grate over the drain was not removable, so within seconds they brainstormed a 6 foot hooked fishing line out of wire from the trash and like surgeons they slowly pulled the keys up and through the grate. All the stars aligned for me because of this remarkable group of qualified staff! Well done. #grateful

    Just a top notch apartment community. One turn from the Dallas North Tollway and minutes from down town. The location really canā€™t be beat and the staff is very responsive. The gym has a brand new look to it and has everything you could need. We originally toured It first out of several apartments and loved it and kept on comparing other apartments to Cortland on Oaklawn as we did the tours. The staff is always sooo helpful and there for you. The management team is always professional. Kelley, the manager, is a great leader and always listens and that trickles down to the other staff that work under her. Life is a ton easier in an apartment complex when you know the staff are on your side and truly care. Last but not least, maintenance is always on top of it! Not much breaks since it is a fairly new complex but when it does they have it repaired in no time. I can honestly say when I submit a maintenance ticket it is fixed or replaced within a few hours. Most apartment places donā€™t even look at the request for several days.I would highly recommend Cortland Oaklawn.

    Iā€™ve lived here for 2 years, and this has been a fine place to live. The apartment is reasonably priced, location is convenient, the interior of the apartment is very nice, and the gym is big and never too crowded.The only meaningful critique Iā€™d offer is parking on any floor above the 2nd floor is a nightmare with how narrow the turns in the garage are and with how aggressively residents fly around each turn. Iā€™m amazed Iā€™ve made it 2 years without getting in an accident. I live by an elevator which is also louder than it needs to be, but overall the place isnā€™t too loud.Iā€™ve read a few other reviews and think the critiques are overblown. Iā€™ve paid my rent 1 day late a couple times, and the building is definitely unforgiving with late fees; however, thatā€™s on the residents as the due dates are clear. Management especially gets beat up in these reviews; perhaps theyā€™re not overwhelmingly pleasant but the handful of times Iā€™ve put in a maintenance request it has been taken care of within a day while theyā€™ve done me some favors like bringing mail to my apartment when I was away; regardless, building management has almost no impact on my day to day life. The pool scene on weekends isnā€™t necessarily for the faint of heart but still is a nice amenity to have in hot Dallas summers assuming you can handle viewing a bit of cellulite and men that sport very skimpy speedos. Finally there are a couple critiques of a staff member making out with a resident at a party; I think that sounds like a pro for my building more than a con, kudos to Kelly!

    I toured many apartments in the DFW and this place is a must see that my friend Valero and I recommend to anyone wanting to move to the downtown area. Great location with very close access to DNT and 35. The amenities and the attention that you get the moment that you walk into the property lets you know that the company cares to cater to their tenants and this is something that a lot of other properties lack. Overall we were impressed by how professional Rondy Arocena was, he is dedicated to making you feel that you are already at home while you tour.     I have lived here for a year and I can honestly say itā€™s the best apartment Iā€™ve lived at! Itā€™s extremely dog friendly, and the staff is always so helpful. Anthony is always ready to lend a hand and he works hard to keep all of the residents happy!

    Edward is amazing at responding to maintenance request. He responded very quickly, within 15 min of complaint, after my ceiling started leaking water. He not only fixed the problem quickly, he also reassured me and told me what to expect, which calmed me down.

    The property was amazingā€¦!! I had very little time to take a tour, and I knew specifically what I wanted and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful and was able to help me figure out exactly which type of unit I want it.     Very pleased with how this property is taken care of and the staff that were always very helpful. Maintenance did an amazing job with whatever I needed help with. If it wasnā€™t meant for me needing much more space I wouldā€™ve renewed. I highly suggest Cortland Oaklawn as a premier place to make your next home!!
