    I lived in a three-bedroom here for 7 years with my husband and our two teenagers. I can say without hesitation that its my favorite place Ive ever lived. It really felt like home. We only moved cause our kiddos are now grown and it was time to downsize.Our particular unit was on the 3rd floor overlooking nothing but trees and Bull Creek. Weve seen many neighbors come and go but never had anyone disturb us or have anyone complain that we were too noisy (and trust me, we are not a quiet household).Any and all maintenance issues were always handled quickly and effectively.Greg in the front office is Awesome! He was always so helpful with any little issue that may have come up over the years.The road dead-ends into the property so there is very little traffic coming through and the complex backs up to a great neighborhood thats the perfect dog-walk.The pool is most excellent- take advantage!In addition, we lived in these appts. through COVID and through both years when the weather knocked out the grid. I felt like both of these circumstances were handled as gracefully as possible.I could seriously go on & on. Im truly going to miss this home and am so grateful for all the happy memories we built while living here.Enjoy!

    I have had my experience with awful landlords, and I can tell you that it is not the case with the property manager Greg here at this complex. We got off on the wrong foot, but he has been nothing short of kind and informative. Maintenance is AMAZING. I have called them at 2 AM with an emergency and they showed up immediately. I have lived here over a year and love it. Parking could be better, but the units are cute and the area is lovely. Thank you Greg for all of your help. - Lynnsey & Anthony

    I lived here for 3 years and LOVED it. I see that a lot of the lower-star reviews are from a time under previous management and I can confirm that the management team now is top notch. Very kind and responsive any time I had to work with them on something. The maintenance team is also very prompt - I cant think of a time I had to wait to get an issue resolved. The area is beautiful - love the deer on the property. Easy access to 360 and 183 is great. Friends that have visited comment on how theyd like to live there because its so peaceful. I moved away for work, would still be there today if I were still living in Austin!

    This is the best complex I’ve ever lived in. It feels so safe and secluded. Everything is always kept very clean and well maintained. They are very good at making upgrades when needed to the facilities. The maintenance team is 10/10. They will be at your apartment within 24 hours of submitting a ticket (usually faster than that). I’ve never had an apartment complex maintenance team that is as efficient, effective, and friendly as the team here. The management office is also lovely!! Olivia at the front office and Greg, the manager, go above & beyond. I truly feel taken care of and safe here which is rare for an apartment complex.Besides the amazing staff, the complex itself is great. It’s in a great location nearby everything you need, there’s lots of trails to walk your dog, and the interiors have upgraded appliances and look really nice. There’s also a lot of cute deer who live here! I love watching them from my balcony. I can’t say enough great things about this complex.

    Jacob had done an outstanding job and exceeded our expectations; I couldnt say more than THANK HIM and the entire team at CR at Great Hills. They are amazing, period.Additionally, I highly recommend my colleagues who have moved from other states or cities and are looking for a luxury, quiet, and friendly apartment complex.

    Living at Canyon Resort at Great Hills has been pleasant and peaceful. All the maintenance would come in and help very swiftly within 24 hours and are helpful with move out process.     I’ve been living here for about a year and a half and love this property and location. The grounds are always free of trash and well kept, and the pool is beautiful and clean. BJ and the maintenance team are wonderful at responding quickly to repairs, and the office staff are friendly. The only issue sometimes is finding a close parking space, so if you can get a garage space I highly recommend it.

    Olivia and Greg in the leasing office have made my tour/application/leasing/move in process fantastic! They have been very welcoming, accommodating and incredibly friendly since my first inquiry.     I lived at Canyon Resort at Great Hills for 2.5 years and had an incredible experience. Its an amazing community surrounded by nature. I loved waking up to deer most mornings and hiking the trails one minute from my doorstep. Management is great and was always quick to help with any issues we had. The maintenance staff was friendly and always took care of our requests in a timely manner. Living so close to the Bull Creek is a great plus and both Gateway and The Arboretum are nearby for shops and restaurants. Would recommend this apartment to anyone!

    I had a third-story 1 bedroom with a garage close by. I cannot thank Amy enough in the leasing office through my entire time. The entire staff too. Always smiling and waving hello in passing while driving and ready to fix anything. Great experience. Ladybugs were the only bugs I ever saw get into the apartment and they were few and far between for the third floor. I know I got lucky with very few issues and think they are worth renting from again.

    Amy from Canyon Resort at Great Hills is amazing! She has made my apartment hunting experience completely enjoyable.     I have lived here for 10 years, and like it. The complex is in the middle of a wildlife preserve, and is in a secluded canyon. I see deer often, and other animals sometimes. The management is professional and friendly, and maintenance is good. BJ, Sebastian, and their team are on top of any problems right away. One summer my A/C went out, and it was fixed within 2 hours. I can get to an amazing amount of shopping places really fast (7 minutes to Trader Joes), yet the setting feels quiet and natural. There are hiking trails close by along Bull Creek. The only reason I would move would be to buy a house.

    The friendliness and professionalism of our maintenance crew are quite possibly the best part of living in this community. In addition to the maintenance staff, I also want to give a shout out to the office folks.Nowhere is perfect, but this place is the best I’ve seen in this part of Austin. Yes it is older, but units are being remodeled as occupants move if you need everything brand new. I’m in an older unit but it meets my needs and we are not going to be forced to move so that it can be renovated. The current owners (after a company merger) thankfully left Lisa in charge and they are an improvement over the previous company. I see some reviews from years before I moved here and I can see the community is getting better.This place really has improved in recent years with Lisa heading the community. I wasn’t happy to have part of my place flooded during the “snowpocalypse freeze” when fire sprinkler pipes broke in many places in Austin. Repairs were made when the materials could be had and measures have been taken to prevent this happening again if we ever have such a severe cold spell.Personally I really like this community and don’t hesitate to recommend it to friends.

    I see so many complaints on here. Ive lived here for over 4 years. The only thing I dont like is that rent keeps going up, that the apartments keep switching owners, and there arent enough parking spots. Other than that, it has good accomodations. There is a parcel locker which admittedly gets full because everyone is ordering online. The area is beautiful, there is a gated mail area. The apartments have good thick walls and some have upgraded things, but mine doesnt because its a little older. They blow the leaves multiple times a week and are always up keeping the trees and the bushes. Now there is a way to communicate with the staff with an online portal. There used to be an online portal but it sucked the new one is better. There are 3 full time maintenance guys. You see them walking around always busy. If the problem is too big they contract others. Honestly, the bad reviews might be from entitled people who dont consider that everything is not perfect. I used to live in East Austin, this place doesnt even have roaches (at least my apartment never had them). Staff good job, I must say I have a rent issue right now, but that is inflation and the economy. I really want to stay as long as Im in Austin!

    Canyon Resort at Great Hills is the best apartment complex that I have lived in. It is a beautiful property that is surrounded by nature but close to the Domain and a 20 minute drive downtown.The neighbors are very polite and the building management does a great job communicating (especially during the deep freeze we experienced this past February).BJ from the maintenance department is fantastic. He was very quick to respond to any maintenance requests and repaired them in a very timely manner.I worked with Gabby when I signed my lease and she was incredibly professional and made the move to Austin very smooth.

    We’ve lived here for over a month now and we love it!We have worked closely with Kylie and our manager, Jessica. Both of these ladies (and the others in the office) have always been extremely friendly, helpful and over accommodating. Our maintenance requests are processed promptly by the office staff and the guys on the maintenance staff are always smiling and nice and always wave hello. They are qualified technicians who answer our maintenance requests immediately, complete the requests thoroughly and answer any questions we may have as well.The complex itself is quiet and everyone who lives here is very friendly. The apartments are older and because of this they aren’t the most cosmetically “kept up” inside which we were a little concerned with at first, but once we moved our stuff in, our apartment is perfectly comfy, cozy and priced right considering the Austin rental rates and the amazing location. Speaking of location, we are right on bull creek canyon! The views are amazing from our balcony. All trees and nothing else, so quiet and serene. We even have a family of deer that live on property. It’s our safe, quiet haven tucked away from the noise and congestion of this great city but we are still in the heart of it all!I’m not sure why there are negative reviews on this business, except that people love to hate. Often times people like to place blame on others when it’s themselves that don’t do their due diligence on issues (like making copies of paperwork for their own files, following through with clearer communication with office staff etc.). CYA people, and don’t blame a perfectly good business with employees who work hard to make their tenants as happy as they possibly can just because you’re lazy with follow through.Anyway, if you’re an awesome person who is possibly thinking twice about living here...don’t! It’s a wonderful place to reside and the staff and residents will be happy to welcome you here! Thank you Canyon Resort at Great Hills for providing us with a clean, safe, peaceful place for us and our fur babies to live!

    Ive lived at Canyon Resort for 2 months now and absolutely love it. I lived here about a year ago back when it was owned by another management company, moved out for a few months and now Im back. Since being taken over by the new management company, Ive seen tons of improvements and am enjoying living here even more than I did before.The property itself is beautiful...Theres lots of deer that hang around the complex, it has great views of Bull Creek, and its very well maintained Its close to the Arboretum and to lots of hiking trails along 360. The complex is super dog-friendly and all the residents Ive met are also very nice. Since being taken over by the new management company, some apartments have been upgraded with hardwood floors and new appliances and finishes. The complex also has valet trash, which didnt particularly appeal to me at first, but I became spoiled pretty quickly. Not having to lug my trash to the dumpster is awesome. The complex also feels really safe and quiet since its tucked between 360 and the Great Hills neighborhood above.But the apartment staff is what makes Canyon Resort such a great place to live. Theyre super friendly and always willing to help. When I moved into my apartment, I had several maintenance issues, and Leah, the apartment manager, was super responsive and is always willing to help. Jen and Nick are fantastic, too. All my maintenance issues are taken care of very quickly and the maintenance staff is also really friendly and helpful. A couple of my maintenance issues havent been easy fixes and both the management and maintenance staff followed up on them to make sure everything was completed quickly and to my satisfaction.I cant say enough good things about this complex and its staff. Its definitely a hidden gem in Austin and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to call home.

    I absolutely love living here! Both the office and maintenance staff are very friendly and accommodating. The maintenance staff are out on the property daily always waving, saying hello and stopping to help with any questions you have. It definitely has a family feel to it here. The property is beautifully maintained and has trails around perfect for walking your dog, and they are equipped with dog stations supplied with bags and disposal. The pool is well maintained, and I also love the valet trash service that picks up your trash every night at your doorstep.

    I moved into Canyon Resort 5 months ago and have been blown away by the customer service. Jen has been so helpful and accommodating since day one! I have already transferred apartments and they made the transition smooth and effortless. Leah, the new property manager has been awesome as well. They feel more like friends than employees of my complex. Maintenance is always quick to address any issues and concerns as well. Thank you for such an awesome experience. Moving is never fun and you have made it much easier!

    My experience with Canyon Resort at Great Hills has been phenomenal! Most of the apartment complexes Ive lived in the past have been rude and unaccommodating. The staff working here has been the complete opposite. They are by far the nicest friendliest staff Ive had the pleasure to meet and theyve gone the extra mile to make sure I am set up and ready to move into my new home. Not to mention the beautiful property and the great amenities that come with the place, I couldnt be more excited to be a resident here with my big Lab and my little cat!

    Like living in a forest with a creek running thru it. Very peaceful withdeer wandering by all the time. Office staff with Greg & Amy are very helpful. And maintenance is very fast, and they have after hours number too. Some of the guys live on site so they respond quickly. Tony and Sebastian are nice and helpful with any issues & repairs.

    A day after I submitted my move in paperwork regarding repairs. I was contacted and scheduled for minor fixes. The gentleman who did the maintenance job is a very kind gentleman with a smile. He was efficient and clean. He had answers to my questions. The only thing I am wondering about is the water pressure. He had a magic wand I guess and made it come out fast. JK. He explained that there was some water issues due to plumbing being done above my apt And its causing the issues of pressure as they fix the pipes. Do we know approx when it will be back to normal pressure is my only question right now? Overall I am happy. I have lived in apts where it was hard to get maintenance to follow through. Even after just moving in. I was ignored and left to do the work myself. So this was a great experience. Leasing was very smooth and accommodating. Thank you Amy for doing that on a Sat. My family is very grateful.

    Environment is good, unit is in excellent condition, you can tell they put work to renovate those units.On top of that, maintenance requests get fulfilled FAST, one of the maintenance guy told me that they have a strict 1-day policy for those requests.

    Canyon Resort at Great Hills has been a wonderful experience for me. The apartments back up to the greenbelt, and a golf course. Very scenic and serene. The management staff are very responsive to maintenance requests, in addition to being extremely personable, friendly, and courteous.The apartments themselves have beautiful open floor plans and are very well laid out. They are maintained well and have undergone recent upgrades (appliances and cabinets) that make the apartments look very classy! Truly a hidden gem in NW Austin!

    My husband currently live in this complex and I could not be more pleased! We moved in about 3 months ago and have has a great experience thus far. When I first looked at reviews for this complex, I heard a lot of negatives about parking. But, we have never had a problem with this! For me, safety was a huge thing when looking at different complexes. I love the secluded feel of Canyon Resort! Also, management and maintenance has been friendly, prompt and wonderful thus far.

    When I began my apartment search I was going through a tough separation and did not have the best attitude about moving. Bailey was the only property manager out of all the properties I viewed that made me smile, laugh, and have fun during the tour which brightened a dark time in my life. I am so glad I leased here because not only are the units built with solid construction, but the property is nestled in a very serene and tranquil environment that is well maintained by the property management team. Upon move-in I had issues with two of my ceiling fans not working (defective fan motors), however, the maintenance team were prompt to replace them. Ive had no other maintenance issues to date, but I am confident as they arise they will be taken care of quickly and professionally. Kayla from the office was also very helpful with info about nearby restaurants & activities and getting me setup to pay my rent online. Ive never experienced this level of customer service anywhere I have lived before. I feel Bailey and her team brought their A-Game and created a very pleasant beginning to this new chapter of my life.

    I love living here! Perfect location for me, beautiful area and property. My mother came out to visit months back and was very impressed with this place as well. Thank you so much Bailey and Kayla for your help time and time again!When I moved to Austin from California (yep I am a transplant) I had initially signed a lease for an apartment in East Austin without knowing what I got myself into. Once I got out here I knew I needed to upgrade. I spoke to a new coworker who told me about Canyon Resort and I am blessed she did. I bounced on the other place, losing security deposit and application fee was well worth getting to live here. The apartment I reside in now was not going to be available for another day or two so she gave us a garage to borrow for a couple days to stash our stuff so that we could go to work and such without having everything I own in my car. It worked out so well and I know not everyone gets this lucky. Go ahead and put yourself on a waiting list to get a place here. Next year I want to get up to the 3rd floor so I can see over the treeline (picture-esque views!!)

    With sky-high rental rates in Austin, Canyon Resort at Great Hills offers reasonable rates for all of the amenities, spacious floor plans and conveniences offered. The property is well maintained and the apartment complex is quiet and surrounded by gorgeous views and trees. The complex is close in proximity to the Arboretum, grocery stores and shopping. The commute to downtown is h---le free. It has a workout room, great pool, recycling, and lots of parking.After the group purchased the property, the customer service delivered by the new office staff has been incredible. To say the staff goes above-and-beyond is an understatement. I applaud all that the staff and group are doing to improve and maintain the quality of living at Canyon Resort at Great Hills. I would highly recommend living here.

    I love living here! Its a beautiful property nestled in the hills with a little creek that runs though it. Its quiet, safe and residents are respectful. Its also just a short car ride to everything you need, such as grocery stores, shops and restaurants in the Arboretum, and Bull Creek. The staff are helpful and maintenance is prompt whenever there is an issue. Ive lived here since November 2017 and dont see myself living anywhere else anytime soon!

    Edit: Jan 2021Its nice that they are offering no increase for the renewal, but moving out to other state, otherwise I would renew it.After 28 months here:The team is great, from the manager to maintenance, very responsive and they did put a new A/C so it fixed the summer heat. Most of the appliance work even its really old.Cons:Really old buildings without any upgrades.(well if you count LED lights as upgrade then yes). Theres 0 sound insulation. I tried to move my bed to different walls but it doesnt work, one wall you have the water heater that runs once awhile in the evening so lots of noise, the other one you can hear lots of noise from people walking to water running etc. Solution: pull the bed far away from any walls.Parking is still an issue, still constantly some residents will take more than 1 space, or they are just too lazy to move the car so it wont cross the line. Make sure to get a garage.It used to be really quiet, all the neighbors were very respectful, since last year we are getting more and more loud neighbors, nobody seems to understand or respect the community rules. Maybe management needs to do some onboarding so they could understand how it works.Its worth what you are paying, especially for the location, just dont have too high expectation.Again thanks to everyone working here for making it like home. Now its time to see how much they would charge me when I move out.Have been here almost 2 years. Its a nice complex, in the hills.Pros:1. Location, super convenient . Close to all the stores and highway. However 360 sometimes gets very packed.2. Quiet community, especially if you are at the corner units. Lots of trees everywhere, some deers live here too.3. Very friendly staffs, the managers and leasing agents are very nice. The maintenance staffs also very attentive. Normally I got my request finished in the same day.4. Price Okay for the area.Cons:1. Parking super tight. if you are back after 7 or 8 PM you mostly need to park close to the leasing office and walk back home. also you get lots of people dont know how to park or simply just dont want to, as often you see a car taking 2 spots, theres zero warning or towing enforced. I saw cars taking 2 spots for days and not even a warning sticker for them. So if you can get a garage when you move in, believe me that would be the most valuable money you spent.2. Its pretty old, almost everything, I have a top floor unit, Since May the AC pretty much running 24*7, even like this the room couldnt cool down. Requested service couple times but never actually get fixed. The staffs said the building is old, my unit is top floor, the AC is old. I understand, also most of the time I was working in day time. But now working from home, I have the AC on, 2 ceiling fans non-stop plus another fan I bought just trying to cool it down. Heard they said there were going to replace the AC units but dont know when its going to happen. So unless you are sure the AC is working fine dont pick a top floor, you are going to pay a lot for the electricity also not wanting to stay home bc its too hot.3. Pool/Gym pretty small, so sometimes you dont have a chance to enjoy it bc you are surrounding by others.4. Theres pretty much no cleaning service for the public area, yes there are landscaping service that they blow the leaves but the dirty spots will be there even after months. If I am not wrong within the 2 years I am here, there was 1 power wash for the hallway.

    The floor plan, the quiet, and the greenbelt setting have kept me here for many years. The current office staff have been very friendly and responsible. Ive been consistently impressed with, Matthew, a member of the maintenance staff, who goes above and beyond to repair and advise. He is conscious of my pet and pays attention to detail. Thank you.     My wife and I love everything about Canyon Resort - the apartment, the location, the amenities, ease of access to Arboretum/Downtown, and of course the staff! Weve been here almost 3 years now. Apartment staff is always willing to go the extra mile to help - Ex. I was late heading out of town on a Friday and our deadbolt had issues - I gave them my key, they replaced the deadbolt, and had my keys waiting for my in my mailbox upon my return on Sunday :)

    This place is worth a visit. Situated ON bull creek, it has fairly large apartments for the price. It is brilliantly located, five minutes from any store you could possible imagine ( and two malls). Maintenance here is run by polite people, and they aim to fix your issues asap. Kayla and Bailey down in the office are rock stars.from day one they remembered my name, and always wave to me on the property. They care about my experience, and are professional and friendly. I like this place. It also helps that the grounds are kept brilliantly clean and kept up.

    Gabby made our move-in a breeze! The entire staff here at Canyon Resort has been nothing but incredibly helpful before and since weve moved in. We love it here already! They are very quick to respond to needs or questions that pop up, and our apartment was better than expected when we moved in. Thank you to the front office and maintenance staff for all of your attention and hard work!

    Having been in Austin for two years now, Ive trolled all over the city to find a new nest for myself. At long last, I found Canyon Resorts at Great Hills. Im extremely pleased. I just moved in last week, and couldnt be happier. A huge win is the exclusion afforded by the large hill / cliff that is between 360 and the apartments. Being in the Bull Creek Preserve means that there are tons of trees and nature, and its nice and quiet yet still very close to the Domain and other offices (such as mine) up North. Reasonable prices, nice accommodations, and a great place overall.Sara was my go-to from the beginning of when I was first interested, and has been extremely prompt and responsive even now that I am a tenant. I couldnt be more pleased. Thank you Sara!

    For anyone looking for a quiet place in North Austin with a great and helpful staff, check this place. Ive been here for about 9 months now and love it. Its close to everything youd want - especially great restaurants, amenities and any store youd want for shopping. As noted, the staff is great and very helpful and its hard to believe you are so close to the Arboretum and the Domain but so quiet. Plus as a bonus, the apt if large and they are upgrading them. All the best.

    I love living at Canyon Resort. A friend referred me to this retreat off 360 & Spicewood Springs. The complex is quiet, tucked away off Bull Creek. Actually, the creek runs through the complex, which is a plus. Canyon Resort is not only a great location, but the staff is wonderful. They work hard and have made improvements to the property since Ive been living here. Also, they are very friendly and timely with maintenance requests and accept online rent/utility payments. 5 star complex!

    Recent new property manager, Bailey is great. Shes making great changes to the property that was previously neglected and adding little touches to make our apartment living luxury again. We are so happy that she is our property manager. We are happy we renewed our lease.

    Im in the process of moving to this place this weekend for a job relocation and Sara has been wonderful throughout the whole process. I left my information on the site and was contacted promptly the next day and she listened to everything I wanted and even went immediately to the property that I ended up getting and taking pictures with her phone. Sara has been super attentive and even answered my questions on her day off! Im super excited to live in a place with such an attentive staff and hope the rest of my stay here is as pleasant and amazing as Sara!

    Highly recommend.Pros:Great place, great staff.Apartments are spacious.Stairways and balconies are concrete-reinforced, which cuts down on noise.Location is spectacular, nestled by a large creek and teeming with local wildlife - yet access to highways is just minutes away.Cons:There arent many. Some of the wiring is old and/or silly. For example, some of the light switches are in odd places. But when thats the worst that one can say about an apartment complex, its more of a compliment than a critique.

    How happy and satisfied am I about Canyon Resort at Great HillsI have been a resident here since 2/2015 and recently moved into a larger apartment within the complex. From a professional perspective, EVERYONE here goes far beyond giving 100% starting from the maintenance staff, to everyone in the office including Brooke Rowten, Bailey Green, Jen Muyldermans, and Kayla Rindflish. There has never been a moment or time when a needed repair was brought to their attention that I did not walk away feeling uncomfortable. In fact, it was the opposite. The atmosphere is quaint, the deer dont eat much, and the serenity is bliss.

    Canyon Resort at Great Hills ranks # 1 for all apartment communities in Austin. I can only speak for myself, but there are MANY reasons you would want to live here. Aside from the spectacular views of nature & wildlife, the location could not be more convenient. There are countless hot spots to check out nearby. A few of my favorites include downtown Austin, Arboretum, Domain, Bull Creek, St. Edwards Park and the Colorado River. The proximity of Capital of Texas Highway, Hwy 183, Mo-Pac and I-35 each grant access to anywhere in Austin within easy reach. Enjoy the summer days at the luxurious pool nestled in the center of the property surrounded by the outdoors. Feel comfortable living here as the residents are very friendly and respectful of each other’s space which makes for a peaceful living. Lastly, the management staff here is second to none. It’s a pleasure working with them as they show attentiveness and kindness to all. Take a visit to Canyon Resort, you’re going to like living here, I guarantee it.

    My sister was recently in the market for a new apartment as her lease in Hutto was coming due, so I helped her look around at apartment complexes in the area that would be closer to her work.One of the first properties we visited was Canyon Resort. Upon arrival, we were greeted promptly by their leasing consultant, Jen. She was extremely pleasant through the whole process and very attentive to my sisters needs even though we looked at a variety of different floor plans and took up a lot of her time.We ended up looking at a few more properties that were in the area, but none of them had quite the level of upkeep and amenities we were looking for at her price point and ultimately she decided to move into the Glen 1BR/1BA at Canyon in no small part due to Jen Ts willingness to bend over backwards to accommodate my sisters needs and find her the apartment that best fit.. Jens professionalism and knowledge of the property really set her apart from the other consultants at the other properties, many of whom seemed like they couldnt be bothered... More than once, we encountered the if you dont rent it, someone else will because the Austin market is hot right now pitch and it really turned us off.

    The tree filled canyon is a beautiful place to live. Our new Property Manager Bailey has made improvements that have added to the beauty of our location. She has a great team (Kayla and Jason..)that assist her daily. Feeling very blessed!

    I had the most wonderful experience visiting Canyon Resort at Great Hills. I called to get information and availability of a first floor apartment to fit our especial needs and Lindsey was so pleasant and accommodating that we had an appointment to walk their facilities right away finding exactly what we were looking for and she went the extra mile to make the qualification process a great experience.     This complex is pretty awesome. There are several deer in the area, a creek that burbles after every rainfall, trees tall enough to hide the view into most 3rd floor windows, and some great hikes very close by if the natural areas on the grounds themselves arent doing the trick. Lots of dogs in the complex, and very friendly.The floor plans are all spacious with architectural features that set this complex apart from the older shoebox types of apartments. There are built-in bookshelves, angled walls, pony walls with pillars, windows that go nearly to the floor, high ceilings (vaulted on the third floor, and just plain high on the lower floors)... Even the units with largely 90 degree angles have a bay window somewhere in there to make it visually appealing. So it doesnt feel at all like youre stepping into a boring apartment--it feels like youre stepping into your home.I can hear people out in the parking lot in my current unit--I face the parking lot instead of the creek--and yes, sometimes theyre loud at night. But unless theyre right outside the window, its nothing out of the ordinary. What /is/ out of the ordinary is that I dont hear my neighbors through the walls. This is one of the quietest complexes Ive lived in. Ill move to a different unit in the complex soon, so well see if its equally quiet with upstairs neighbors.I moved to this complex about a year and half ago, and so Ive seen the transition from old name and management to new. The new management is upgrading all the units, for one. Wooden mini blinds, stainless steel appliances, some funky (in a good way) ceiling fans, etc.Under the old management, it took them three tries to get the air conditioner to work in my unit for longer than a single day at a time when I first moved in--in the middle of the Texas summer, I spent about a week with an inside temperature of over 90 degrees... at night.Under the new management, maintenance requests are handled the day they come in, unless you call about them in the afternoon and the maintenance guys get to it the next morning. Might just be my experience, but Ive had good response on that note.The office staff are amazing, friendly, and eager. I dont think theres been a day Ive gone in and Jen hasnt waved at me with a big smile while helping someone else. Even though I can pay rent online, I find that I prefer to walk over to the office so that I can chat with them.Of course, there are drawbacks to this complex, as there are with any apartment complex. Parking is a bit on the atrocious side. If you arrive any later than 7:30 or 8:00, you can pretty much forget about parking anywhere near your apartment unless you score one of the rare garages. And those are pricy.The parking lot is very hilly, as one might expect from a place with great hills in the name. On the plus side, its a mini-workout. On the minus side, a vehicle with a high center of gravity feels a little unstable to drive or park in a few places along the parking lot.It might be the location near so much nature, but this apartment complex has more wasps than any other Ive lived in. If those are problematic, the office can have pest control come spray your porch/balcony with a repellant. You just need to ask.What else to say about this place? Its got a great location, lots of nature, lovely units, friendly office staff, competent maintenance guys... Its a bit pricy and parking is a gamble, but overall this is a complex to come home to. Id recommend it.

    The location is awesome! The views are spectacular! We moved from another state and have loved our apartment! We haven’t had any problems only minor things that were addressed within the day or the next day!! I’ve always gotten a quick feedback or questions answered! It’s quiet and pet friendly and gives a warm family feeling!

    My wife and I have lived in this complex for 5 years now, and Jason Acosta, one of the maintenance techs here at Canyon Resort, is a legit miracle worker. Every time we have had an issue, he has promptly responded and fixed our problem (be it plumbing, A/C, or electrical) without a relapse. I dont know what theyre paying him, but it isnt enough.

    We have been here a couple of months now and are having a great experience so far. This is easily the quietest place I have rented, and the neighbors are very friendly. The unit we got is in good condition. The complex itself is a little dated which is reflected in the finish out inside the units (no pantry in our 2BR unit! what?!) but the floor plans are well laid out otherwise. The nature around the complex is unbeatable, and traffic noise from 360 is barely audible despite being right next to the road. The management has also been working on the complex, fresh painting going on, new road signs being built, etc..The staff are always very helpful and attentive. Like many apartment places, they are a bit old school with paperwork and fax machines but its no big deal really (they DO have online rent payment, thank goodness).The ONLY thing I dont like about this place is the parking. For some reason, most of the spaces are ridiculously small. I drive a small sedan and I can just fit if I park perfectly, but I can never get out of my car because of people who DONT park well or drive massive vehicles are always over the lines or crooked. The large vehicles frequently double park, which means there arent enough spaces and you have to park pretty far from your front door.Near my building, there is an area of 12ish parking spaces that have been painted into a fire zone - I suspect a fire code changed or a fire marshall came by and made them remove those spaces which resulted in the cramped situation we have now. Pure speculation though.

    I leased an apartment a few months ago and had multiple options that my wife and I were considering. Im in sales myself and when my wife and I got home after being shown a unit by Jennifer Twardzik we couldnt believe how easy it was to make up our mind. Being that we were looking to treat ourselves to a nice apartment for a year while we were house shopping and having many incredible apartment complex choices to choose from in the area it made it hard to make up our mind that is until we met Jennifer Twardzik. She had such a bright Midwest personality and she showed us pictures of her German Shepard(Tilly) which we have one ourselves. We just got that feeling that this was the right place to Lease. Sometimes its not always about the place but the people that you surround yourself with. We knew that if we ever needed anything that she would go above and beyond to take care of us. I can say with conviction that our decision was solely because the way we were treated from the moment that we walked onto the property. Thanks again Jennifer for helping us make up our mind and thanks again for the suggestion of bringing our son to Hamilton pool. He still talks about the time when he saw his first snake : )

    Canyon Vista has been a fantastic apartment home for us. The location is convenient, quiet, and our neighbors have been very friendly.The staff, lead by Leah Shapiro, takes care of business and takes care of the residents. This is a fantastic place and a must to look at if considering an apartment. There are many nice apartments in Austin, but youll be hard pressed to find better management staff.

    I have lived here for 4 years and have loved every second! I am moving away this summer and am going to miss the beautiful nature, updated appliances, convenient mailroom, friendly leasing staff, pool, and gym. The location is also perfect! Minutes from everything you need: HEB, Target, CVS, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Petco, ULTA, Best Buy, Home Depot, Nordstroms Rack, EVERYTHING! Not to mention a quick drive into downtown. I am going to miss my little oasis so much.Thank you, Canyon Resort!
