    I’m so grateful to call this place home. My neighbors and staff have become more like family. Maintenance is always on top of any fixes big or small (David, my favorite, helps my son and I even when he isn’t working—I once had a flat and he came and fixed my car on his lunch break. That man deserves a raise.) The front office ladies know the schools bus schedule and make sure the kids get safely off the bus. We love living here!

    I have lived here for 4 years and have no complaints. The apartment complex is maintained and staff is really helpful.     Phenomenonal place! Gorgeous, clean, friendly, and taken care of. Ive never been to such an apartment that takes so much care of their apartments, plants, and better yet their residents. Maintenance is also a big bonus here, especially David. Ask anyone, hes on it, and on top of being efficient he has a one of a kind personality! Alister Oak Hill is somewhere I could live long term, especially knowing how well everyone is taken care of.

    Have lived at the Alister Oak hill Apts for a year now, just renewed my lease for another 15 months! We absolutely LOVE living here. The office staff is always avaliable to answer questions and they even host events monthly for residents. The maintenance team always answers requests promptly and professionally and my kids love the space here. The property is well maintained and all in all we have nothing but positive things to say about our time here.

    5 stars for Joe in maintenance. Hes responsive for anything that comes up, friendly and always checks-in when I see him doing building rounds. For the complex, youd be hard pressed to find equal square footage for the price point. Its feels safe, the amenities are decent (playground, dog park, gravel track, w/d, pool (not heated)).

    I moved from Houston about a year ago and I was used to live in peaceful places. I got my first Apartment in William Cannon and it was a disaster. I found Alister Oak Hill and the girls helped me out, the community in general is so peaceful, my neighbors are really nice. I’ve being living here for a month now and I enjoy it. Hopefully we’ll live here until we buy the house. Customer service is exceptional, Gaby is always trying to help us and the new girl is really nice.If you like to live in a place where you can get home and actually rest without all the noise from the city, but still want to be close to downtown and not so far from the airport. This is the right place to live ♥️🌻

    My family and I absolutely love this complex, it is hands down the best that we have ever lived in. I rave about it to anyone and everyone and would highly recommend it. Everyone here from the office staff to the maintenance staff is so kind, genuine, and attentive. David and Joe are always there anytime and come to our aide within the hour, they genuinely care for us and want to make sure we are constantly happy and comfortable. I’ve never had a single complaint about anyone everyone here is always in good high spirts, my children, husband, and I are happy to call them friends and we will continue to live here happily.

    I moved here 6 months ago and I wanted to wait a little longer to place my review. This place is awesome. So far I’ve only had good experiences. Since I first moved in my apartment was just as I expected. The maintenance team is great and responsive. The ladies at the office are always kind and helpful. My neighbors are also really nice. They also do a lot of resident events that I’ve been enjoying pretty much.My husband and I like to walk around the property which is pretty peaceful and has kind of a country vibe. I will definitely be renewing my lease pretty soon.

    My aircondiioner needed to be charged and I put a maintenance order in and in one hour David was knocking at my door. David was so knowledgeable and very helpful. Such great service.     I have been a resident of Alister Oak HIll for 5 years. The living experience here has been great and any issues are handled professionally and in a timely manner. Gabi, the property manager, has been very supportive of our resident needs along with Esdra assisting her in all matters. The maintenance team is exceptional! Dave and Joe responds to all requests promptly and very efficiently. They are highly skilled, knowledgeable, and are excellent problem solvers. Their attention to assuring this environment is a safe space along with providing friendly service calls is a very positive aspect of living here. 5 Stars!

    Esdra has been an AMAZING addition to Alister. We have been here since February and we werent sure if we were going to resign but my hubby walked a larger space with her and she was great to walk and talk with. She has been so great helping us set up our transfer to our new space and addressing any issues quickly! Gaby has also been awesome, we were transferring to our new place and had some charges from our last apartment and she proactively reached out to explain everything. It was very much appreciated. They are doing a great job in the office!

    Great team! Since I first came to tour the property, the office team has been nothing but nice and patient with me. I like how they are always transparent and clarify everything. For me, it is important to have good relationships wherever you go, so I feel confident that my stay here will be a great experience. I also got to know the maintenance team. They do a first move-in inspection and teach the new tenants how to handle the little things and how to better communicate with them.This has shocked me because is the first time Ive seen it. Highly recommend it, I call it my lil country place because it reminds me of the place where I grew up but with better internet service.

    I went to inquire about an apartment last week. And the office staff was extremely helpful and courteous. I had the pleasure of meeting the apt. Manager and she explained to me and gave me all the info i needed. To be honest it was kind of hard for me to focus as she went over the details as i was infatuated by her beauty and beautiful smile.     A lovely quiet community, that is clean, has great amenities, a good staff, and lots of trees. Its tucked away off the beating path but still close enough to everything. My only complaint is that there were a few issues with my apartment after moving in. Obviously an inspection wasn’t conducted to ensure everything was in proper working condition. Otherwise I love it here so far.

    I moved into Alister Oak Hill 2 months ago and I love it here! Im toward the back of the property and they have a beautiful little community garden so I can sit outside and look at the wildflowers while I drink my coffee in the morning. The gym is great, the apartment is renovated, and the maintenance team is really on top of it! Every time I call, theyre there within an hour. Gabbi and her office team are really friendly and even put some packages inside my apartment when I was out of town a couple of times. Im definitely staying another year.

    I just moved in and am thrilled so far! The newly renovated apartments are gorgeous. They are very spacious and styled beautifully. Lorena really went above and beyond during the entire leasing and move in process. Truly couldnt have asked for better. Mayte and Gabby are lovely to work with as well. Everyone has been very friendly and willing to help when needed. Since I moved in Ive have had a few issues with appliances but the maintenance team, Donna and Thomas, were on top of it and came quickly to fix everything. I love the trail out front to walk my dog and the apartments themselves are pretty quiet as far as hearing your neighbors. Very happy with me choice to live here so far!

    Amazing and quiet i really love the amenities and the office staff is really friendly. The Application process was very easy and got my approval very fast as well. I love the openness of my apartment floor plan and the kitchen area is sooooo beautiful. Best decision made by moving here absolutely in love with here.

    Been living here for 8 months now and ive never had a major issues but if there is, maintenance team are just one call away. I love the scenery it’s quiet and peaceful. I just wish the clubhouse is open for the residents after work hours or have the key to access to the bathroom when you’re at the gym.

    This review is long overdue.I feel compelled to write a review after over 5 years of living here and seeing the many changes since the property became Alister at Oak Hill. Since Gabby and her team took over, there has been improvement after improvement. Prior to Gabby and her team, it was nearly impossible to reach someone in the office. Since they’ve been here, I can rest assured that if/when I have a concern or question and am unable to make it to the office, I will still be able to reach someone. That goes such a long way as a resident.I kid you not, each and every interaction I have had with Gabby, Donna and the team at Alister Oak Hill (AOH) has been pleasant, friendly, helpful. As someone who works in real estate management, I know how impactful property management can be - for better or worse. I can confidently say that Gabby goes the extra mile for us, and that is just so appreciated.Donna is another fantastic asset for AOH. She has been here since around the time I moved here years ago, and she is the most consistent, capable (she has literally been able to fix anything that has needed maintenance - and FAST!) honest human. I feel so lucky to live where she chooses to work.Donna and Gabby are truly a huge part of why I’ve chosen to renew lease for another year. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!

    I’ve only been living in Alister Oak Hill for about two months, but so far it’s been absolutely amazing!Such beautiful and spacious apartments for an amazing price that you can’t beat here in Austin. I, currently, live in their classic apartments (not renovated) but are just as nice and shows that they really take care of their apartments.Another but the most important thing I wanted to highlight is their leasing staff. This is why this review has 5 stars, because they are absolutely amazing. Mayte went above and beyond and MORE to get me moved in to my first apartment. She walked me through every step and was so helpful and amazing. She really is an all star and can’t recommend her enough. I really love this place and community!

    Just moved in a few weeks ago and honestly the apartments are just as nice as the pictures online. Property management are super helpful and proactive - Mayte went out of her way to ensure I had a warm welcome even though I arrived in the middle of the worst winter freeze in a while. The whole city was shut down, but because she knew I was driving in from Florida I would be tired and needed to be sorted out she still came through even though the office was closed. This is my first place in Texas and I’m extremely happy with the decision so far! Overall beautiful property right next to a huge HEB supermarket 🎯

    Know that if you are living out here it can take 30 minutes to get downtown and the road construction is only going to get worse.We are going on our second year of living here. There have been a couple of management changes with the current one being Alister. I can update this as things change and we are still here. We have experienced charges such as pet rent and double trash being charged when it wasnt supposed to be. It always got resolved but can be a pain to call every month, so far we havent had a problem this month. I would also like to say how friendly and efficient the maintenance staff is, I love having such a great team.I want to talk about the rising prices and turnover of residents. when we first moved here in November 2020 rent for our unit was $1,100. The rent for the same unit if you moved in now is $1,575.We have recently noticed many people leaving and lots of empty units. We think it is because of the raising prices when re-signing leases. I am sad to say we will be one of them if the current tenants rents keep increasing as I have been hearing. Good tenants should be rewarded. We like living here and want to continue!Update April 2024: We are still living here the rent was adjusted and everything was figured out. Again we love living here maintenance is very responsive and helpful. I do wish there was more lounge chairs at the pool and we were promised a way to open the gate without punching in the code every time two years ago but other than that, very quiet safe place to live.

    I was looking for a place relatively close the Galleria so that I could be close to my new job. Having a spacious apartment is really important to me, and Fox Hill was one of the few complexes I found in the area that offered 900 sq ft apartments in the $1,000-$1,200 range.I took a tour of Fox Hill on a Thursday and was fully moved in by Sunday. I started my new job the very next day. The staff was very helpful in getting me through the paperwork and credit checks as fast as possible. I really appreciated it because moving in after I had started my job would have been a pain.Ive been living here for almost two weeks now, and I have no complaints. The staff is friendly and responsive. The A/C works great (this was a problem in my last complex). I was able to get my electricity and Internet setup very quickly. I have not encountered any major problems. Overall, the complex is very well maintained, and Im very satisfied with my choice so far.

    We visited the property in hopes of finding a new place. Gabbi was the one who showed us the property. She was very thorough in explaining the new renovations that had taken place, and was very willing to answer any questions or concerns that we had. I had concerns about parking my commercial vehicle and she let me know that it wasn’t an issue. The apartment that we were shown was very modern and had just a home like feel to it. It had everything we were looking for and a little more. Looking forward to our time here at Alister. The overall process was smooth and Gabbi was great to work with! Btw the location is really nice. You can get to Dripping Springs in about 15 minutes and The Hill Country Galleria is only about 10 minutes away as well.

    11/11/21 Things have been crazy the last couple years, including management and staff changes PLUS change in ownership and management company. There have certainly been highs and lows. Through it all, the Maintenance Manager Donna has been consistent. I can always count on my maintenance requests being responded to quickly, and Donna is always friendly and helpful. :)-----------We renewed our lease because the combination of features for the price is great!Maintenance Manager Donna is always quick to respond to our requests as needed!Property Manager Tammy will always make herself available for questions and comments.My kids love the pool, and theres enough space for adults to hangout comfortably even when there are kids playing.

    I will share that the maintenance team here is really stellar, especially Donna who is so professional, friendly, and has a really great energy about her. Always willing to help, is neighborly, and takes care of business so quickly. Recently we had a toilet issue after hours and I became concerned we might have bigger problems. Donna came right over to take and look and see what she could do. Ultimately the repair needed to be done the next day, but she gave me peace of mind that we werent going to have a flood! It really was so kind of her and the next day they were promptly there to finish the repair. This is how Donna always takes care of things, promptly and cares about the property and the people so much so that peace of mind matters, also. Really lucky to have her and this maintenance team taking care of Alister Oak Hill!

    I love the staff in all departments. The maintenance department are fast and very professional. I would highly recommend this property to anyone but if your loud and party alot this isnt the place for you. The grounds are well kept and very neat. The staff remain friendly even after you sign your lease. I have lived here 20 months and I 6 months to go. I really enjoy my unit and the price is one of the best in Austin.

    There are only two complaints a person could make about this place:- a good deal of the residents are comedically difficult, not to me a fellow resident, but to the staff. I spend time in the wonderful lobby, drinking their endless free specialty coffee and chocolate drinks, and to anyone who has ever worked in customer service it can be painful to watch/listen to such passionate and good natured people endure such vitriol.- the staff are not all powerful gods, and there are some things (like the noisy air conditioning units outside my window) that they cannot magic away; but they can offer solutions, and do their best to make me happy, which they have always endeavored to do.Every time I’ve ever had an issue, I’ve watched the staff (especially Amanda, the woman who mans the front desk and has received word of any difficulties or requests and made personally certain they were attended to, and Jared, a fabulously competent and respectful maintenance worker who has made all my problems go away incredibly quickly and efficiently) bend over backwards to reach the highest level of class and professional reliability.The heartbreaking part is how GRATEFUL they are for bare minimum kindness. Like, not cursing them out when they’ve done nothing wrong to deserve anger, or acknowledging that they care and are trying.Anyway. 10/10, would highly recommend, because of the way they keep up with their land and amenities, but mostly because of the staff. It would be nice if some of the residents treated their staff like people. I think it must be because to live here you need to afford a certain amount, and many people making that much money haven’t worked customer service jobs and unconsciously think of staff as not-people? I’m not sure.

    Updated 8/18/21 to add: They called back and addressed the issues and were able to give a refund of application fees and were very kind. I’m bummed I had to find a new apartment complex to stay but commend them for their professionalism!I know they are going through a property manager transition but I have been waiting to hear back on my application for two weeks and I move August 16th. The people I’ve talked to on the phone are kind but seemed to know so little because they didn’t have direct access to a new site showing where the applications were in the process. I called them multiple times and there was no new information even though my move in date is a week away.

    LOVE this community and LOVE the office staff even more. I honestly couldn’t say anything bad about living here, it’s beautiful, quiet, and great for kids and pets. All my neighbors are nice and I’ve gotten to know almost all of them now, and I’ve only been in this building since December. My neighbor bakes treats for her pup and saves some for my pup, Arla. Due to certain events involving me, they don’t have any reason to go be as kind as they are to me. But I honest to goodness cannot tell you how amazing the office staff truly is. They care to take the time to get to know your name, and if you let them, they’ll take the time to get to know you as well. The maintenance staff is amazing as well, doing everything they can to make sure that REPORTED problems get fixed as quickly as possible. (Reported in caps because if you don’t report the problem, they’ll have no idea that there is a problem. They aren’t mind readers!!!) Maintenance has been awesome enough to even hand me a 2 set box of light bulbs when I waved him down riding on the golf cart. I kept forgetting to make a request and he simply handed some to me and said to call if I needed help changing them!THIS PLACE IS GREAT.Just wanted to update because Tammy is my favorite apartment manager EVER and there’s never been a staff to learn my name and get to know me. Tammy and Veronica at the office have been so helpful - particularly as I was transferring apartments within the complex. They kept the process simple and stress free.Quality apartments, good-sized floorplan space and overall just a great community to live in.

    I moved into my first apartment in fox hill. I only have others apartments to compare it to and with that Id say theyre pretty great. The staff in the leasing office can be unorganized but it seems like theyre working on it with all new management. The walls and floors ARE paper thin (I can hear the people under me, I can only imagine what we sound like from above!) but please tell me where I can find an apartment that does not have that problem. If you want silence and seclusion, get a house. The grounds are kept up very well. The dog park is huge, the walking path is nice. The apartment itself is really large as well. I have a 3br and it is 1330sq ft which is bigger than my parents house. The kitchens are open. The location is super awesome. We have had problems with our appliances and they have always come to fix them but the problems generally comes back. I think they are just dinky and need to be replaced or taken out to be worked on more throughly. If you get a good deal on the rent, it is well worth it. I would never pay the full price $1500. They are very nice but they certainly are not perfect.

    The management has been great. Love getting emails with updates. Looks like in the past 6 months Ive been here they have done some nice updates/upgrades to the property. I hope they do a power wash and cleaning of the lighting yearly. It needs it. I am happy with the location,amenities, and staff. At times the maintenence has been frustrating, but overall good. I just wish people would learn to pick up their dog poop and there would be consequences for people who dont keep their dog on a leash and let them run free to poop and no owner present to clean up.

    We have been living at Fox Hill for 6 months. In the begining the office staff was very unorganized and the maintence requests took forever to get completed. That all changed after we had been there for about a month. Everyone in the office is friendly and helpful and the maintence requests are always completed right away. I love the complex and the apartment! You cant beat the price for the quality of apartment you are getting. The area around the apartment is also changing drastically. New bars, restaurants, and coffe shops are opening monthly. Oh, and parking has GREATLY improved!

    Fox Hill is simply an excellent place to live. I love it here! I have been here for a year and am unfortunately not renewing due to job relocation. After being on the hunt and seeing the cost of other places, I felt compelled to leave a review. This is by far one of the nicest places you can live for the amount that they are asking for. The amenities are great, and they are constantly adding new touches. I have a 2-2. Its extremely spacious. Modern appliances, countertops and flooring. --- The management is great. Maintenance requests are handled speedily. There are frequent resident events: hot cocoa, crawfish boil, holiday party, sometimes just a brown bag breakfast at the gate as you leave at 7 am which is pretty early for anyone to be up handing you breakfast at an exit. I have lived in many-a complexes in many cities, and this is by far one of the best. Parking is becoming an issue, but management has definitely taken strides to reduce illegal parking which I can appreciate it. This is largely a community of older professionals, retirees. The parking lot is full after 7 most days of the week. When getting home later, finding a spot can be tough. Thats the only downside I can think of right now. You wont be disappointed if you move here.

    I have lived here for almost 6 months, and enjoy it. The apartments are spacious, and the neighbors are great. The only concerns would be parking and lazy people that dont clean up after theyre pets. Lets face it, all apartments are going to be kind of noisy. They are apartments..You definitely get your moneys worth here, and the staff is prompt and courteous. Those who think otherwise, clearly havent lived in other complexes around town. Compared to a lot of apartments in this area, these are by far the best....
