I had a wonderful experience with this company. Justin Shelhorse is a true professional. I had issues with a previous AC company that installed a very basic oversized unit for my property which led to extreme temperature fluctuations... either very cold or hot due to humidity build-up. He diagnosed the problem and installed a brand new variable speed system. The temperature in my business is now very comfortable without the extremes Ive had before.I honestly cannot convey how thankful I am to him. Please get a hold of him if youre looking for someone who is appropriately priced, efficient, knowledgeable and polite.

Obviously you expect your a/c company to hire competent technicians, and Spencer has done that. What set Ray apart from the crowd was his willingness to let me stick around and watch him work, while thoroughly answering all the questions I had and questions I didn’t know I had. For example, he stuck an instrument I didn’t recognize into a little box on the flue. I asked if it was a thermometer, and he said that it was. He then explained the 8-10 step process by which a furnace starts, and how monitoring the temperature in the flue helped him diagnose whether the startup process was working properly. I wasn’t just impressed by his clear explanation, I was also confident that we had called the right team.

We recently started having Spencer maintain the HVAC in our business. Our equipment is relatively new but the previous contractor just couldnt seem to break the code on getting it all to run properly. Spencer has been on the case for several weeks now and there is a noticeable difference in the interior climate as they methodically tested and repaired/replaced, as needed, key sensors and other components. There is more to be done no doubt but we are greatly relieved that progress has been made and confident that these units will continue to perform as designed, possibly for the first time since they were installed. Spencers technicians have been competent, professional, responsive, punctual, and respectful of our workplace environment. They have been straight forward about what needs to be done, how long it will take and what it will cost. And I believe their fees have been reasonable. Highly recommend!

It is nice to find a Heating and Air Conditioning company that comes to your door and checks the system to make sure everything is working properly. Too many other companies send a sales person posing as a technician for the annual check up. I highly recommend Spencer. They are a very good company. Wow! This company restored my faith in the industry. The company was very courteous and professional on the phone. They sent a technician, Charles, out right away. I lost my heat after a power surge. Charles diagnosed my problem and showed me what was wrong. He diagnosed the issue and his office went the extra mile to find a new controller board because their local supplier was out of stock. The next day they came and made the repair. Charles was on time to both appointments. He is friendly and approachable. 2025.02.17 Mark was on time and started the heating check on my natural gas fired attic Carrier Infinity 5-ton HVAC that Spencers installed back in December. Everything cycles ok, no CO detected, filter condition is very good, etc. We discussed multiple filter issues, moisture formation problems at two of my bedroom vents, possible causes and insulation changes that Spencers installed that should fix it. Mark answered my questions and we were done in about 40 minutes. The Infinity unit is very quiet due to its multi stage design, so a big improvement from my single stage unit.2023.06.21 Ray was on time and figured out the problem in a few minutes. He had replaced the outside capacitor and checked the inside capacitor within an hour, and my unit was back up again. Very happy, minimal impact during hot weather. Im a Spencer fan (no pun intended). Ray is very friendly, but conscientious and gets the job done.

I wrote a review last year when Spencer Air came out and helped us with some A/C distribution issues upstairs. This year they came to the rescue for us with a MAJOR issue. They were able to work through a warranty issue along with getting our unit up and running again - finding a part and getting it shipped overnight to minimize our downtime. They are very helpful, give good advice for on-going care (by us) and are so responsive. I highly, highly recommend. Updated to include that I have an annual agreement with them that includes them coming in the spring to check out our systems. They were great with communication and spent close to an hour going through both of my systems, sealing up some air leaks and very thorough review of the systems. Continue to highly recommend!

Our outside condenser unit started making a very loud noise late in the afternoon, July 3rd. I called Spencer Heating & Air because they are the company that installed it 2 yrs ago, and it was still under warranty. I spoke with someone with an answering service and was told he would try and contact a serviceman that could possibly come by. After a few mins. I was told someone would call me. Within 10 mins. I received a call, and was told that he should arrive in approx. 30 mins. Mr. Marshall showed up on time, was very friendly and professional. Although we couldnt get the unit to replicate the loud noise, he performed a thorough inspection of the unit, replaced the capacitor, and cleaned the outer coils. I appreciated his prompt and professional service, and would recommend Spencer A/C to anyone.

Spence Air Conditioning & Heating installed a 19 SEER HVAC on my house June 1, 2023 & I was having cooling issue from the installation day. The temperature differential was always low, my AC was running full speed whole day and it is still not holding the temperature I set. David came today, listened to my concerns and he himself has seen that air coming from all of my supply were 71-72 degree when return air was just about 78. He showed me there was good temperature differential in the attic but I am getting much higher temperature from all my supply vents. While we still dont know why he promised to come back and explore the reasons. i am hopeful that he can fix my problem and I can enjoy cool air soon. David is really great.

Ray came out very fast and took care of our A/C that had stopped working. He fixed it quickly and he was very professional! Really nice guy!

Jamal was Amazing! He fixed the AC and had cold air through the house in no time. He showed up earlier than expected and was very thorough with everything. I also want to say thanks to the customer service woman I spoke to (forgot her name..sorry), she was so nice and helpful in getting us scheduled today. She also called to make sure we knew Jamal was coming when I couldn’t get to his call. Thank you so much to both of you!Jamal will be our go to guy for any issues and maintenance with our AC. Its easy to get on their schedule, the technicians are all very professional and friendly. If you are considering replacement for your old HVAC system, look no further. Spencer just installed Carrier Infinity units (2) in our home. I knew our old units were noisy and inefficient but didnt realize how bad they truly were. The new ones are so quiet you have to check to see if they are running. The house felt more comfortable almost immediately.Justin explained all the options in great detail pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of all the options. But I never felt as though he was trying to upsell us.Joel and installation crew were fantastic. They were courteous, professional, and competent. They covered the floor and stairs, wore masks, and cleaned up very thoroughly. The attic is cleaner that it was when they arrived. Ive never dealt with a better crew for any home maintenance or repair service.Theres a reason this company has been in business for so long. They do it right!

We had a serious drain pan leak on a Saturday. We called Spencer and David had fixed our problem within 3 hours of the first phone call. He was exceptionally professional, friendly, and quick. For something that could have been miserable, we had a great experience.

We had used Metro Heating and Air and they were out twice and claim they fixed the heater. We were getting heat upstairs but not downstairs. One hour after they left the system quit working and was out on the coldest weekend of the winter so far. We called Spencer and a super nice repairman worked fifteen minutes and fixed it for good by simply replacing a broken fuse and loose wire. THAT IS THE BEST SERVICE ANY HOMEOWNER CAN EVER RECEIVE. So after having a big name AC company call in and install a completely new system in my home several years ago, I had always defaulted to calling their techs for AC issues. It has been a hassle for awhile. When my AC went out this past weekend I tried calling them out again. Once all was said and done I was left needing major repairs that my usual company wasnt going to be able to even quote me for until Monday because they only have dispatch in their office on the weekend (still havent even had a call back from their office even as I am writing this at noon on Monday)After the hassle that was my Saturday morning, I figured I would call around at least for some price comparisons. In the time it took for that company to even get a tech out and inspect my AC problems, I called Spencers. I went from dispatch, to tech, to manager with a quote and a timeline on when I could get the work done within 2 hours. Spencer AC & Heating arrived when they said they would, got the work done, and had me rolling in AC before that other company even tried to follow up with me.Spencer AC and Heating operates like they want your business without the hassle and for that, they get my 5 stars.
