    Where do I start? The team at Sims Automotive Repair is truly incredible. From the moment you walk in, the front desk greets you warmly, offering coffee and engaging conversation. I’ve mostly worked with Anthony, who is thorough and organized, making sure every concern is addressed. The confidence you feel leaving your vehicle in their hands is priceless. There’s also another front desk associate—a lovely lady who knows more about cars than most mechanics I know!I recently bought a 1982 Oldsmobile Cutlass online and had it shipped to my home. The car looked great on the outside, but I didn’t fully know what I was getting into. I booked an inspection with Sims, and they were quick to get me in. After dropping it off, I was invited back to speak with the owner directly. They had the car up on the lift, and the mechanics pointed out major issues: rust, rigged components, paint touch-ups hiding rust, and more. They were honest and transparent about the condition of the car and gave me tips on what to look for in the future. Thanks to their detailed inspection, I was able to return the car to the dealership and get a full refund.Since then, I’ve bought a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham. With the knowledge I gained from Sims, I was able to find a fantastic, all-original car in excellent condition. Sims has already inspected it, and it’s now my pride and joy. Sims Automotive will be the only team I trust with this car for years to come.If you need reliable and honest automotive work, I highly recommend Sims.     I am a new resident here and this is the first time I had to take my car in for repairs and I didnt know where until I found them and I have not regretted it. From customer service, I was able to drop off my car the day before and Tim brought me home in the shops courtesy vehicle. The next day they called me to tell me my car was ready to be picked up, Tim came to pick me up at my house again and when I went to pick up my car the employee, Anthony, was very helpful, kind and courteous and explained to me what work they did to my car. If you want good service from the moment you walk in the door, I recommend them 100%!!.

    To let the public know and anyone whom would like an experience beyond your belief. And yes, I only believe it bcuz I have my repaired vehicle already. My pickup truck 🛻 (BIG-RED-BULL) had its left front Wheel Bearing Hub completely rubbing metal on metal. I took her in to SIMS Automotive Repair and they did the inspection to make sure that was the only problem. Well, it wasnt. They respectfully inspected the right side and I was so Joyful they did bcuz it was showing wear as well. What would have taken 3-5 days for parts to arrive and perform maintenance repairs, was immediately done the very same day I turned BIG-RED-BULL in. I Must Say, their professionalism is beyond what I have experienced at other maintenance shops. This has become my One & Only place I will be taking my vehicles to for repairs regardless of how long it would take. They Are Indeed A Blessing. Even the prices are reasonable & cheaper than other places.     This shop was amazing I called on a Tuesday morning my car was in the shop the next day for a diagnostic testing I picked them because the test was a reasonable price compared to other shops ! I got a call within hours to tell me what was wrong with my car , I approved all the repairs and my car was fixed within 24 hours which is the fastest I’ve seen! I’m happy My car is back running ! The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable and I would pick them again for my repairs 10/10 highly recommend! Oh btw I got a free shirt and pen to !!😀

This time took my Avalanche for a check engine light issue which other shops said was an expensive faulty computer and needed replaced… After SIMS professional team diagnosed it was found to be a simple negative ground issue.. Oftentimes, it’s difficult to find a mechanic shop you can confide in, but these guys went above and beyond. Their professionalism resonates in their quality of work.     Taken two of my cars to get work done here. Both times they were super easy to work with, did a great job and for a fair cost. One of my vehicles isn’t even a car that was sold in the US and they didn’t hesitate to take a look and were even able to source a part for it. These guys are the real deal. No non-sense mechanics.     Had my VW beetle towed to Sims on a Sunday after it decided it didnt want to actually run. They called early Monday morning to get the story on it and the next day called me with the problem and an estimate. I have my car back, running again! They are super friendly and their prices are reasonable. They are great at communication as they let me know that there was a delay in getting the correct part needed. I appreciate that! This is a great shop!Ok not sure why it wont let me leave a separate review but anyway...battery in this VW beetle decided December was a really good month to die. Had to jump it to get it to the shop but they got the new one installed! It was done quickly too. Reasonable prices and such nice people there! The battery and the original repair are two totally and separate things but google insists I use this for the review :)

    Very professional staff. Completed the quickly and in a timely manner. This is my second time using them and will use them in future. First time was for an alignment, even they said they don’t do lowered cars, they conducted the alignment. Car has been solid since then. This last time was for a AC recharge after I replaced my Compressor Clutch. Wonderful work and my AC blows cold again.

    My Cadillac CTS back end was making a loud grinding noise. We later found out it was the rear-end differential, it was hard to find someone to do it for a reasonable price and in a timely manner. Until my husband found Sims Automotive Repair they gave us a good price we dropped the car off Wednesday and it was fixed Friday morning now my Caddy drive and sound like new I will be taking my F150 there next these guys are very nice and professional if you are having an issue with your car this is the place to go.

    I had received a few different quotes to repair a collapsed lifter in my 2017 Silverado and not only was Sims overall repair costs better than most of the others but judging on the work performed, they didnt just replace the single failed lifter but all of them, which is the right move as there are several that are prone to failing. If you are already in that far, the smart move is to replace them all and save yourself the headache of bringing it back in 6 or so months when the other fail, and they will. Price was great and service was equally awesome. Will bring all of my vehicles to Sims when the need arises.

    Sims Automotive is very professional and do their best to give you a quality product. They have great customer service. Anthony was very accommodating and helpful from my initial phone call until I walked out the door with my keys in hand. The rest of the staff working, Curtis and others, were friendly and offered helpful hints and tips on many aspects about my vehicle before work was done and after. Bringing a vehicle to the mechanic shop is like bringing a pup to the vet, or a child to the doctor. So if you want your vehicle to prosper and stay with you as long as possible, take that machine to Sims and get the 5 star service it deserves.

    I took my car to Sims Automotive Repair after the Auto department at my local Walmart said my starter was going bad. I dropped it off just before closing on Friday and received a call on Monday early afternoon (they are closed on the weekend). I told them the problem and said they would get back with me as soon as they checked it out.A few hours later I got the call back, they checked the battery and the starter and everything looked good, they couldnt find anything wrong and they restarted the car several times without any problems.I was very happy to pay the diagnostic fee because they provided me with fast and outstanding service. I was very impressed that they didnt try to sell me something that I really didnt need. They were very honest and I appreciated that a lot.I now have a place in Copperas Cove where I can trust they will be honest about what they find if my car ever needs repaired again.I highly recommend them.

    Simply, this shop is very good. While traveling through Texas after the eclipse we experienced a brake problem onour Ram Promaster van conversion.     I cannot recommend these guys enough!!Firestone in Killeen did an alignment one week ago and when I left Firestone my steering wheel was not straight, the car pulled to the right, and when I leveled the steering wheel the car veered to the left... It wasnt doing that before.I called Firestone, explained what was happening and they said I needed to go buy a concentric ring and bring it back. Any part store will have what you need. They didnt mention any needed parts in person or on the report they gave me with the receipt, only after I left and called about this problem.Three different parts stores had no clue what Firestone was talking about (they spoke on speakerphone). After four calls I finally called corporate because my car was worse than before I took it to Firestone AND the guy I spoke with was pretty rude. I guess because I was trying to get the part number... To a part they had the different names for... And they couldnt provide.The manager (not Tony) told the corporate representative hed rather me go somewhere else and theyd issue a refund.I went to Sims Auto Repair and not only were they very friendly, they did the alignment to fix what Firestone did and they told me exactly what part I needed, with photos (not to mention the rounded off bolt heads that Firestone did).Sims Auto in Copperas Cove is legit!! They have my business from here on out!! I cannot recommend them enough!!Thank you again Tim and Anthony!!

    Wonderful experience with the company and with Anthony! I got an alignment done and then had my tires all replaced with another alignment check. Id dropped my car off one night after hours and called the day after asking for an update. Turns out, their alignment machine still wasnt working (no ones in Cove/Killeen is apparently), and I was told theyd do it for free (completely unprompted) if they couldnt get it fixed by the end of that day. Anthony called again a couple hours later and updated me that theyd be able to do it the following day and that it would indeed be for free. After that alignment, he updated me that Id need some new tires and offered me a quote without pushing me to get it done with them or rushing my decision. He gave me time to review things, and we settled on a different tire. A few days later, they replaced them and re-checked the alignment in a timely manner. As a woman whos used to trying to be pushed by mechanics for unnecessary services, Im thrilled that wasnt the case here. Everyone was kind and professional, and I felt my input was important in the whole process with their demeanor and their updates. I just wish they had some weekend hours, but they do have a box system for drop-offs and pick-ups that makes it less of a headache to get things done during my work hours. Ill be going to them for any other car troubles I have (:

    I brought a engine block to these guys, couldn’t get off a couple of bolts and asked them if they could remove them for me as i didn’t have the correct tools. Not only did they do it fast & easy, but they did it for free. Fast forward a week later the engine is ready to be rebuilt and they said they would torque the bolts back to spec for me!     Ive been taking my truck to Bradley since it was Bens. Was glad he could take it over creating Sims. Bradley, his mom Vicki, Curtis, and Steve was the crack crew that got Sims a rolling. All (maybe Vicki too) very top grade certified mechanics with all the tools and know how to fix any automobile. Got a limited internet link that will diasec any part and car for information they may need to solve your problem. Now they also have Ray, Anthony, and Tim; Ray another mechanic and Anthony and Tim running the front, havent seen Vicki lately (6/27/24). They offer alot more services like insurance, coutesy rides, candies and drinks, and more. Anyways, I dont take my truck anywhere else and I tell everyone thats the place to go. Very reasonable if you check around and very responsible group. In Cove alot of you know me as that Cab Driver(or Taximan), others by that one ton white chevy truck (36yrs old....not me the truck).     I cant say enough good things about this shop! they came to my residence in copperas cove to look at my vehicle. had my vehicle towed to their location was having starting issues, It gets towed there and it starts just fine for them of course. Bradley the lead mechanic tells me they cant figure it out untill it doesnt start for them. one week later same issues, I give them a call they are at my place in 15mins, with a successful diagnoses. best shop ever,billion stars! they didnt try to fix a problem that wasnt there, they saved me hundreds of dollars and they did what they said they would do. dont get much better then that. thanks Sims automotive! highly recommend if your in the copperas cove/ Killeen area

    My truck decided to die on me in the middle of the road. After getting towed to the shop, this amazing team managed to squeeze me in right then and there which was a lifesaver right before a cross country to Virginia. Extremely professional team and excellent facilities! Highly recommend!

    Sims Automotive was requested to check the cause of a water leak. They found the reason and after researching for the required parts, provided an estimate to get the parts and complete the repair. They did get the parts but it was decided that we would do the repairs instead of Sims Automotive. We paid for the diagnostic work and requested to buy the parts from them even though they were not completing the repairs. They were cordial enough to allow this even though they had researched and then ordered the correct parts but was now not going to complete the repair.

    Took my 2013 Honda Fit here after they changed from Bens to Sims. They did an excellent job servicing the transmission without trying to sell me a Flush. I am very happy with them! Appointments are a couple days in advance though so keep that in mind.Just so yall know though, they do exactly what you tell them to without fussing around your car looking for an upsell. Brought my old 1991 Ford F-350 in and they didnt even look at the horribly gapped plugs or the busted shocks trying to find things to ream my wallet for. They just fixed what I asked them to which is pretty nice. If you expect them to Find things wrong with your car, then let them know you want it looked over.Sims is probably the only place Ill go to in Cove after some oil change place forgot the Add oil back part of the equation...

    The shop was a great help as I needed Freon before a 2000 mile round trip to Omaha. I’ve had different shops over time to say ‘you need an overhaul’ when it’s a simple fix!Sims gave me the best answer “just Freon and replace a leaking valve which is normal on a 17 yr old vehicle” and they had me rolling in an hour! Thank you Sims Team!

    Dropped my SUV off at the scheduled 8 AM when they opened and yesterday he told me it should be done by the afternoon. I walked about 5 blocks to a restaurant for breakfast and had plans to spend the day at the library and tool around town. Before I could finish breakfast, Russell called and said it was done, that it was only the worn rear link bushings. Labor and parts were below the estimate he gave me the day before when I scheduled it. Nice location and building. Clean service bays and waiting area. I recommend and I will return if I need anything else done.

    Got a 5 tire rotation. Shop did the actual 5 tire rotation instead of the 4 tire rotation which has happened before.Checked alignment which showed only slightly out of toe but the tierod assembly was too rusted to ensure adjustment. Got a quote and declined.Good prices, honest work

    Have been using this repair shop for a long time, since they were located were the walgreens is now, and they have always work and fixed my cars great service and good prices. Just had some work done was a simple fix what needed to be done. The repair shop was straight forward and didnt try to add things, just what needed to be done. I highly recommend the shop for any repair

    I want to thank Sims for helping me I definity the true problem to my vehicle. I took my car to another autoshop and the dealership. Sims confirmed what the dealership told me about my car. They were so helpful and saw the frustration that I was going through that they didnt charge me. My cars warranty and the dealership will be covering the fix on my vehicle but rest assured that I will take my other cars to Sims.

    Took in my Jeep in the holidays these guys were the only ones that would work on it do to the holidays very good staff... Owner very communicative with me talked to me honestly told all that was wrong with my Jeep and gave me recommendations do to the millage on my Jeep... And the repair!!!!
