This is my 2nd time working with Apex and what a relief to find someone thats honest, super fast, and knowledgeable.In the summer during the heat wave our upstairs AC failed and John came right out and got it fixed quickly. Now the first time turning on our heat our downstairs unit failed and again, John came right out.Before I called Apex the first time, I got a quote from another company and they were going to take 4 days to get to me and were more expensive so I started looking around and when I spoke to John at Apex I could tell right away on the phone he was much more friendly. John also took the time to explain the issue and gave tips on how to prevent future issues which is something he didnt have to do but went the extra mile.

I am so glad I was able to find apex. The first time was when I was house sitting and the ac would not cool. John was very clear on pricing and came out the same day. I really appreciated the time he took to explain everything. It was a very quick fix and had it back to normal in less than an hour.The next time was at my parents house when the ac was leaking I gave him a call he came right away turned out it was just a clog. He works fast and does a great job!

John at Apex is AMAZING!! My AC stopped cooling and I was told by another company I needed it replaced. They were going to charge me $7700 for a new unit. I called John and he was able to come right over and had my AC up and running cool air all for less than $400! If you need AC/Heater work, trust me, call John at Apex. He is trustworthy and HONEST - two things you just dont see very often among repairmen. He saved me a fortune and he could do the same for you - just call him - youll be thankful you did!!

John with Apex is fantastic - professional, fair & honest. I cannot recommend him highly enough! We had an AC that needed to be repaired while we were out of town. He picked up the key from our property manager and got the leak fixed all before we got back. So nice to be able to enjoy 70-75 degrees instead of sweltering at 85-90! Great customer service and quality work! My AC went out a few weeks ago (during the 100+ weather & 2 babies in the house) and Apex was the only company willing to come out that day to repair the problem. John came out, fixed the problem, stayed to make sure that the AC unit was in working order, and made great recommendations for future use. John came back yesterday (a Saturday) within 30 minutes of my call when another problem arose. John is friendly, courteous, and professional. I highly recommend his company.

Our technician, John, was friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. He repaired my air conditioning unit efficiently and will careful attention to detail. Last thing you want is for your air conditioning to go out right before summer. Since my unit was so old I feared the worst, but John had a fix that was both cost effective and a long term solution for our home.

We own a rental house in Austin and have used Apex Heating and Air Conditioning Several times. Each time, they came out quickly, kept me updates on the repairs and service needed, and the cost was very fair. Yesterday, we had an issue, I called Apex at 11:40 AM and the problem was resolved by 2 pm, including time to go get parts. Its nice to know we have someone we can trust with the AC, especially since we dont live there.

My AC had gone out Sunday evening, I had called other service companies to only be given a window of 4 or 5 hours. When I callled Apex he was very cordial and said he could be onsite within a half hour. When I arrived home John was already on site diagnosing the problem. He was concientous, honest and told me exactly what the problem was and gave me a cost to repair. The price was reasonable, and fair and he completed the work withiin an hour and I was on my way back to the office. I would highly recommend Apex to anyone who needs AC repairs. Prompt, fair, reliable service. They will be my go to company for my AC and heating needs.

Showed up promptly, gave me an estimate for replacing a furnace and AC coil. Came back the next day to install. Encountered some unexpected problems, and John put in the time to do the job right. Wow, John was lifesaver. The tenant in my rental unit called to say the heater had gone out. It was already after noon, but John told me he could come out between 3 and 5. When he ended up running a little late, he was kind enough to call and assure me that he would be there. Thankfully, the problem ended up being a quick fix and my tenant had heat before the temps dropped for the night. To top it off, John did not charge me an after hours rate even though he worked later than he had planned. The price was extremely reasonable! Thanks for a great repair experience, John! Ill be calling you again!

I contacted John via the Yelp app one evening to get a quote on a new evaporator coil and was pleasantly surprised to get a quick response (this is after 9PM). I had explained that a previous company had come out and done a leak test and that I wanted a non-Lennox coil since it it failed in 7 years. He provided a ball park estimate for a Bryant coil that had a 10 year part warranty - better than 5 yrs with Lennox. In order to get an exact estimate for the job, John made a service call to look at the unit in the attic; his estimate was almost right on with the ball park online quote. The following week, John came out with a crew of 3 installers which completed the job in about 2 hrs. John also handled the registration of the coil with Bryant so that was one less thing I needed to do. This is the first time Ive used Apex Heating & Air and I highly recommend this company.

Our AC went out in the middle of summer and through a referral we called Apex. They gave me an estimate over the phone and came out SAME DAY. Also important to note I live outside Austin and it was after 5.They showed up with a great attitude and diagnosed my situation. After giving me a few options for my pocketbook they went to work and had everything on hand to complete the job without a return visit.It doesnt get any better than that people. I highly recommend Apex for all heating/cooling needs. Professional, timely, and honest.

John from APEX was great. I’ve used his services twice now and he’s super timely, efficient and communicative (albeit straight to the point). It’s high summer and he was able to squeeze me in same day.AC issue: My ac was having a mind of its own. I came into the house and it was 86 degrees. The thermostat was set at 78 and the ‘cool on’ indicator was visible, but the ac nor the fan would come on. AC would come on randomly and only about 10 minutes at a time, not enough to cool anything down.Turns out, the drainage valve was clogged, triggering the cutoff of the unit in case of flooding. It would come on only after water fell to a certain level. He declogged drain and also helped me set up my thermostat to be more efficient.I live in a 2 story and thermostat is upstairs on the landing where it’s sweltering. He’s been the only HVAC person to ever tell me to keep the fan in the ON position to keep air circulating so upstairs stays as cool as down. He assured me the ac would kick in and out as needed, and that the cost of running the fan perpetually was more beneficial than playing with the degree settings, both money wise and in terms of duress to ac unit.Previous to this, I’d kept the daytime temp at 84 just so the ac wouldn’t get overworked during the day, and had it scheduled for 78 degrees for when I came home from work in the evening. Downstairs felt perfect but upstairs was an oven usually. Looking forward for that not being the case moving forward.Thanks John!

Very fast response. Service professional was very knowledgeable and personable. He kept me aware of the steps being taken throughout the entire service call. He was very skilled in the AC field and presented it with laymans terms and such kindness, which made all the difference. I used them for annual summer service and their service fee was very reasonable. I without a doubt recommend APEX, not just for emergencies, but annual/semi-annual servicing as well.

John is in a word is honest. Their are a lot of service personnel out there who are not and only want to make a buck and dont care how they go about doing it. Now I know a capacitor from a compressor and John always knows what the problem is and can show me and explain it to me. So do yourself a favor and call Apex when you need something fixed.

They came immediately after the call and fixed my emergency air conditioner issue within 30 minutes at the hottest time of day in July.
