    I placed a call for non functioning AC and it was 103 degrees outside. A technician was to my house within 30 minutes and had me back up running in about 15 minutes. Simple repair not too expensive but very impressed by professionalism and knowledge. Been 3 weeks and still going strong so they got the right part on the first try no guessing

    A raccoon decided to have a field day in my attic, so some of my air ducts got damaged. Also, they were old, so it was time to replace them. I had seen some work from AMS ColdPro on social media and decided to give them a call. Huy answered the phone and had someone come out to look at my air ducts very quickly.Roberto came out and was very thorough in his inspection of the damage and informed me what needed to be done. He gave me a quote and told me he could have all of it replaced and installed the next day, I was like done, lets do it!Roberto came out with 2 other workers, and they completed the install in less than 8 hours. Roberto was very knowledgeable, thorough, and exceeded my expectations.     Having had one or two small jobs performed in the past on our old systems, we recently called the team from AMS ColdPro to install three new complete AC and Furnace units at our house and we couldn’t be happier with the result.     Let me give a huge shout out to AMS ColdPro! My unit stop cooling and reaching temperature on Friday. I reached out to another company who came out on Sunday and informed me my main unit was low on Freon. I agreed to get it filled up and what seemed to be the fix was later to be found I was in the same situation Monday around 5pm….24 hours later. So I reached out to Huy the owner who took my call and help diagnose that it was a leaking evaporator. He had his team out on Tuesday with the part needed and repaired our issue. The guys were very professional and did clean work! Price was very competitive and I highly recommend this team!

    We came home after work and the house was a little warmer than expected. We called AMS and let them know it was not a rush and could wait until the next day. It was not an extremely hot day. To our excitement the tech was there shortly after. Lucky for us it was a capacitor and did not take very long. The tech was super nice, even to our dog that greeted him with a tiny nibble on his ankle. Great company.

    Huy was referred to us by a friend, who highly recommended him. He replied to my texts promptly and is an early riser, which we like since we are early riser as well. He came out and explained to us the problem and what are the options. We ended up replacing a new HVAC unit with him, which his teams came out and did the replacement. His guys showed up on time and did an excellent job. I am happy to find a trusted “person” that we can rely on and get the job done correctly to save us time and money.     On Easter Sunday with a lot of family in town our AC decided to go out. Luckily it was not hot outside. We contacted several businesses for quotes AMS being one of them. We decided to go with AMS ColdPro because Huy was very professional and took his time to help us understand what needed to be done. AMS was very thorough and made this process very easy. They replaced two AC units, our furnace, and replaced our duct system. They are definitely the company to use.

    Update about second visit.Once again, the prompt service and integrity from this company is astonishing. I contacted these guys on Saturday and they were here Monday morning at 8 AM. They diagnosed the problem, checked if my part which, on this occasion was the motor from the fan on the outside unit was still under Warranty, went and got the part and returned an hour later and had it fixed and up and running. Not only did they do that but also offered a temporary solution just in case the motor was not in stock so that I would not be without AC. Every time I get treated like family and I echo everything I had put earlier on this review about my first time experience. I will not use anyone else you will not be disappointed.First. Visit review below:I was recommended this company by a mutual friend. Called a different company that was linked to the house build and they said they were only doing emergent calls. While having an AC that may or may not be working correctly with 108° weather outside seems as an emergency to me with a house of three boys in it.So I called them, not only did they show up the next day, they did a quick check of the unit suggested some tweaks that will make it more efficient. They never once tried to sell me anything that was not needed. Honesty and integrity are a hard thing to come by these days, but not when it comes to these guys. They called me and suggested a maintenance service so that they could overlook everything and clean it to make it more efficient to deal with in this hot weather, I immediately agreed. May I add once again!!! when they first came on the first visit they told me that the AC was working fine when, I am sure that multiple other services out there would not have done the same and try to wangle some extra business or stated that some parts are broken and this needs fixing, etc. etc.. honesty is huge for me.Leo turned up, professional, and on time and was meticulous, and the way he did things and cleaned even the outside unit. He informed me step-by-step of what he was doing, and it was all part of the process of the maintenance that they had suggested.     Update (1/2/2024) - I couldn’t be more pleased with AMS ColdPro at my new Home! The builder (Gehan) had installed an undersized HVAC unit, which led to constant issues. Old unit would be operating 24/7 during Texas summers to barely cool to 75degF. AMS ColdPro came to the rescue with a friendly, professional team who quickly assessed the situation. They replaced the unit with a much more efficient one, providing excellent quality and reliability throughout the process. The turnaround was impressively quick, and their pricing was very reasonable considering the top-notch service provided. I highly recommend AMS ColdPro for anyone in need of HVAC services—they truly deliver on quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction! A five-star experience all around!Original (5/9/2020) - I have been using AMS ColdPro since ~2015. They made emergency call to my house when I was out of town and my wife was at work to check on my HVAC unit during the summer heat (worried about dogs). Very few people do I trust to enter my home when I am not there. It ended up being a simple fix and I appreciated the quick response for my peace of mind. After that he did an assessment of my old unit and recommend some cost effective measures. They replaced my attic ventilation fan motor and installed an attic thermostat to help with the Texas heat. I was advised by AMS ColdPro that my old HVAC unit did not have a float switch, properly size catch pan or drain piping for clean out (previous clogging issues). AMS ColdPro was able to remedy this at minimal cost and timely fashion. Eventually my old HVAC unit went out and AMS ColdPro was able to quickly come to my house and advise me of my options. I appreciated the transparency about how SEER efficiency works with a complete AC/Furnace replacement and if I opted to only replace the Evaporator & Condenser (cheaper option) what the risk are with utilizing the old furnace. AMS ColdPro was able to quickly get me a new unit, plenum and ducting installed in 2020. I have since sold the home but continue to have AMS ColdPro service my new home. Recently due to crazy Winters here in Texas I reached out AMS ColdPro about wiring up plug/receptacle for my furnace in case of an emergency. He walked me through the process by phone (at no charge) and I was able to get everything modified on my own. I advised them that I intend to install a transfer switch for my Backup Generator and their expertise recommended some modifications to my existing HVAC unit to prevent spike loads on my Generator. After the freeze I am scheduling them to get this done. I highly recommend them for any HVAC issues or replacements and know that they have a lifetime customer from me.

    AMS ColdPro installed a brand new AC and brand new ductwork at a great price. They arrived on time and were respectful of my property. In less than a day, they cleared out the old ducts and replaced them with new energy efficient ducts. Also, they laid a pristine new slab outside for the new unit!Once again, AMS ColdPro came through with the installation of a great system at a great price! This time it was the heating system. First, they did a thorough inspection. When it was clear that a new system was necessary, they wasted no time at all and installed it on the SAME DAY.

    My AC broke down just after 10 years. I was quoted repair costs of over $20000 from a large company in Houston. AMS was able to fix my entire system for a fraction of the price. The service was incredibly fast and reliable. We set a date, guys showed up on time at 7:30 a.m., and service was done by noon. The unit outside was replaced, the coil upstairs was replaced, the casing was replaced, even some loose ducts were hung up again. AMS knows how to take care of the customers! Thank you so much!

    Called AMS Cold Pro, owner came out, evaluated our ac problem, explained everything up front with parts and cost, filled our unit with freon until he could get his staff to come and do repairs so we would be comfortable. They were able to come that afternoon, fixed everything and worked in the hot attic to complete the job. They even fixed things that needed doing to make the unit better than the builder had installed. The staff was considerate, polite and professional.     Experienced and most honest AC/HVAC service Ive come across in over 20 years of home ownership. Replied back to my calls and text for easy appointment setup. Tried to accomodate me as soon as available. Quick diagnostic without all the upsell. Listened to my concerns and observations. Got the problem fixed thoroughly and most efficiently. Provided warranty for work. Ive exact same repairs and maintenance done over a decade ago in another house and was dreading the oversell articulation of common issues the poor AC systems in southeast Texas experience due to high heat, high humidity and over-use to justify high cost of repair. He just got the job done quickly and straightforward. This one is added to my phone contact favorite for the next time I or my friends have another AC/HVAC problem.

    These folks were great! They quickly diagnosed our problem (including taking the time to explain and show us how and why it was a problem -- in this case we had a freon/coolant leak), and got a crew out the next day and into our attic to do the work.They werent pushy about anything they thought we should do, and gave us an initial quote so wed have an idea of what the costs could be before the actual installation team came out and provided an actual quote (which was lower than the initial quote) before they started working.

    Our heater broke very late Sunday night so I sent Ams ColdPro a message asking to schedule.Regardless how late it was they responded & worked me in first thing Monday morning.     If anyone is needing anything regarding HVAC, make sure you hit up Huy and the team at AMS ColdPro. I had them update my plenum boxes and redo my ductwork in August 2023, and it has dramatically improved the airflow in the house. On top of that, I just had my AC go out this week after getting power back after Hurricane Beryl. Huy came out that same night to fix it so that my family didn’t have to try and sleep in an 80+ degree house. Thanks for being amazing Huy!

Huy came out to service and found the furnaces control boards went bad and ordering new ones would take 5-8 weeks!!     AMS ColdPro saves the day! My wife and I had been having issues with the zoning system for some time now. The company that originally installed the system did a terrible job which is probably why they are no longer in business . I called AMS ColdPro and they came out the following day to look at the system. They explained how the system was “trying” to work and how it should be working.     Finally found a trustworthy, honest, and professional A/C service. We previously contacted a nearby service who diagnosed the problem as having a leak in the coils of both units that were less than 4 years old. The bid for warranty repair was over $2,400. We contacted AMS Airpro and Nguyen scheduled a visit the next day. He arrived on time and immediately and began checking the system to diagnose the problem. He inspected the entire system and found there was a leak on one of the units that needed repairs, the other unit was working properly and needed no repairs. He quickly collected the warranty information and provided me with a bid. His team arrived with the new coil a day later and within hours the house was below 68 degrees.     AMS ColdPro was fantastic to work with. Huy Nguyen came out to our house to give us a quote for a new system on a Friday. Saturday morning his team showed up to put our new system in. What amazed me is instead of trying hack up the old falling apart plenums like all the other companies we got quotes from. He said they were going to do a fresh install so everything was done right and we would get the most benefit for our new system. His team did a great job during the install. They even put down tarps to make sure the floors stayed clean. I was asked to look around a couple of times during the install to make sure the new unit did not block access to anything in the attic. The new system is cooling the house down much quicker and the temperature balance between the rooms is almost spot on. I am so glad that we found AMS Cold pro and we will definitely be recommending them to anyone that asks about AC work.

    Phoned Huy and he personally answered the call, set up 0900 meeting the next morning to assess the problem and he promptly showed up on time. Huy took me out to the unit and actually took it apart in front of me explained some outside issues and then upstairs we went to look over other potential problems.     This is the BEST vendor for AC or anything in the Katy area. My wife and I are first time home buyers and our AC went out on a Friday. I called Friday night expecting to get someone out after we got back from out of town the next week. Huy came out to our house Saturday the next morning and looked at the AC.Unfortunately our AC was dying, but he gave us different options on how we could fix it with prices ranges to meet any budget. Our experience with vendors up and till this point has been not so great. We peppered him with many questions about the different choices, what size the AC should be, pros and cons of each option, and many more questions. He was able to answer them all and put it in a way that two people whose knowledge of AC begins and ends with them cooling and heating our house.We decided to replace the whole AC and he was out that Tuesday replacing it. It would have been sooner, but we were out of town and then we were unavailable Monday. The turn around was very unexpected and my wife was very happy to have a working AC within days of the old one breaking.A couple months after the install we had a bit of a hiccup with the AC which had been working fine, but my failure to change AC filters caused the system to have a bit of a hiccup. Normal companies would have you schedule an appointment and come out maybe that day or the next day. I texted Huy and we were talking back in forth to see if we could fix it over the phone for about a hour. We went through all the steps he asked us and when we couldnt fix it 30 minutes later he had one of his techs out and 10 minutes after that the AC was fixed. The AC has been running like a champ ever since he installed it.I would also note I did check on prices with other companies and AMS ColdPro is super reasonable. My parents use a larger company and for the same fix they paid about 50% more. I dont like referring companies to friends unless I totally trust them and AMS ColdPro is one of the only companies I would recommend to a friend. I 100% trust Huy and will use AMS ColdPro in the future always.

    In my opinion the best AC service in town. My evaporator coil leak again(3 times in 5 years) So I decided go with a different company that recently fix it. Went on Google and found AMS had great reviews so decide to give him a call. Best call ever made..Huy came check out both unit. My upstairs unit was leaking and the downstairs unit was working harder then should. He gave me some recommendation and I decide to wait a little bit because it wasnt too hot yet.     Huy and his team did an excellent job on our AC coil replacement. First of all, he was incredibly knowledgeable and identified that our Lennox AC coil was actually part of a recalled series of coils - Huy called and arranged to have a warranty replacement. I question what other AC companies would have recognized that to be honest. Secondly, Huy and his team were flexible and accommodated our schedule to arrange the replacement. They were on time, laid down paper to not scuff our wood floors, and cleaned up when they left. Overall, excellent service and I admire the honest approach Huy takes. We will recommend them to any and all of our neighbors and friends.

    Im so glad I found AMS ColdPro, they are my go to guys for any and all of my AC and heating needs. The company respects their customers and their time. They understand the urgency when your AC isnt cooling down the house during the Houston summer heat. And Huy is the best...always friendly, honest, and quick to fix the problem.     Could not be happier with the service I got from AMS AirPro. My a/c went out and unfortunately I didnt call AMS first, I went with another company, BIG mistake. They arrived 4 hours late, I was given the run around, and was purposed ridiculous prices. I called AMS, they came out the same day and fixed the a/c half the cost. I would highly recommend AMS AirPro!

    Great job! We needed the wires from our HVAC checked out, and Huy was quick, polite, and most importantly, the job was done well. I made an appointment for noon, but when he could move it up because of a schedule change, he called and offered to come earlier.

    On February 7th, I had a problem with my Heater. I called and spoke with Huy about my problem. He sent his tech, Billy. Billy got here about 9:00. He had the problem fixed by 9:45. He was very thorough and knew what he was doing. This company is honest. I will continue to use AMS Coldpro . Once I find a company I like, I keep them for a long time. You would make a good choice if you choose AMS Coldpro.

    I have a zoning issue in my townhome and Huy is so knowledgeable and explains systems clearly. A great teacher. He helped me understand why it wasn’t working, turning on, and why there was mold on too of my AC unit. He re-wired it in 20 min and voila! I have cool air again.

    If you are wanting and needing Honest professional service! As a property owner as well as a Texas Real Estate Broker ive used other A C- heating companies before in Houston metro areas for my properties, however, none of them have come close to the professional service that is provided from AMS ColdPro.     Just used AMS again for a coil replacement this time as their prices couldnt be beat. Again, they are honest and go the extra mile to get you back in your comfort zone.09Jun2020Had to get the coils for the downstairs unit replaced as the bandaids finally stopped working. AMS ColdPro always took care of me and they helped me get an extra year out of the dying unit all while being honest and letting me know what the consequences of the bandaids could be.When the last bandaid came off I called them and they were out the next day to give me a proper fixing up and as always the pricing was fair and more than competitive.
