    We are Winter Texans from Canada. We stayed here for several winters, decided to change parks, but came back because we simply prefer Woody Acres and the people here. We like how it doesnt feel crowded, small lake, plenty of activities. Great place to spend winter.

    We recently purchased a manufactured home here. Main reason was manager and staff are so friendly, made you feel like you are part of the family. There are lots of events and activities thanks to our activity director. You could be as busy as a bee or not. No pressure. Theres a swimming pool, hot tub, workout area, lots of craft workshops and many other things to do. The maintenance staff works hard at keeping the park looking great. The social events are fun too! Location is great close to downtown for shopping stores like Walmart, Ace Hardware, H.E.B. Craft stores all with in minutes. The restaurants are fantastic, not to mention the food at our club at Woody Acres. We have some great cooks.They take pride in their work. The meals are delicious. We feel very Blessed to be here.     Woody Acres is great! I almost do not want to post this because it is a diamond in the rough! Friendly staff, beautiful sites, and reasonable rates. Nice hot tub and pool. I will be coming here yearly in winter.

    We stayed at Woody Acres for our 1st Hummingbird Festival! After a day of touring homes, it was nice to come back to our camp site! Quiet, the breeze over the water was so calming.Also joined KARAOKE Saturday night- had a blast!We are looking forward to our next stay here: our Rockport home!Carlton & Carol

    Im at site 320 and its in a great area. The clubhouse, dumpsters (two nearby), laundromat, swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, private showers and office/store are less than a five minute walk away.

    You will not find a more friendly place to stay. They have every amenity you could possibly want . We made so many wonderful memories at all of the parties and activities, that are daily at this resort. The professional and caring staff go above and beyond to ensure the quality of their guests stay. We will treasure our times with all of the beautiful people that we met and had so much fun with! We look forward to seeing all of you again when we return. We are full time ion the road and out of all the places we have been this is our favorite resort and location for the winter. Thank you especially to the lovely ladies of the office and the amazing kitchen for a fantastic four months! God bless and prosper you all.

    We travel around play music (jam) at various parks in the area, this one is our favorite. With all the amenities it cant be beat. We keep returning year after year.

    Great place to stay for a short term or long-term, Nice setting with a number of ponds and winding roadways, (not a straight line parking lot) under new management so a lot of improvements are happening now.Staff is great, friendly and helpful!!Lots of amenities, heated swimming pool, hot tub, workout room, pool hall with six tables, function room where they hold a number of different activities.I’ve stayed here twice for a month each time.

    The new management really is making this place fun! A very active community, good prices, your choice of spot, game nights, dinners, karaoke, a pool and hot tub! We met some great folks that we can’t wait to see again! Water and electric are metered. After a month (I think) they can prorate your stay. Connie’s cooking is fantastic!

    Stayed for a few days just to relax. Everything was real good staff was friendly and helpful. Will be back with grandkids for sure they will love the cabins and clubhouse.

    We came for Memorial Day weekend and the staff were excellent at taking care of us all the way during our stay. Our spot had a broken sewage flange, and we only noticed it after we set up. We told the front office about it and it was fixed by the time we got back from dinner. Everyone was friendly, even when our kids accidentally splashed a resident in the pool, she laughed it off and showed patience and kindness towards us. Dont bother going to Wilderness Oaks RV park or The Lagoons, this place is head and shoulders above them, and is very family friendly. Great place to stay, great facilities, and great people, we will definitely be back. Thanks for making our experience great!

    This place is pretty great.I was looking for a spot to stay when I went fishing and found this spot. Wonderful location within easy driving distance of the coast, and figured I’d give it a try.It’s SO MUCH cooler than I was expecting! The property is gorgeous with waterfront views for RV spots, WIFI, a pool and I can even bring my German Shepard.This is my go-to spot now, and the owners have been nothing but great.I hear they are going to ad short term rentals with water views as well, so we could just pack a swimsuit and hit the coast.

    Have visited this RV Park twice in the span of three years and this place has been kept up pretty nicely despite older facilities and amenities.Heard that a new management has just taken over during the last visit and maintenance work (especially the repairing of roads and edging of curb) to make the park presentable is evident.The out-dated amenities like the gym, sauna and pool hall have their own charm, especially the latter. We spent several hours playing pool, solving jig-saw puzzles, and simply spending quality time with family without the distraction of electronic devices.While the equipments are older, they are still in working condition and the grounds are kept clean. The bathroom is always clean and you know the staff has been working hard keeping it that way.There is WiFi available though the signal may be weak. However, if you are here for a vacation, take the opportunity to minimize time spent on your mobile devices and focus on the people you are here for.There are permanent residents here at the park and the ones we met are always friendly. We even got a chance to have breakfast together with a few of them.So if you are visiting as a guest, either with your own RV or you are renting an on-site RV / cabin, be respectful of people who are living there as you move around the park and use the amenities. The park is also near to the Rockport Beach and several restaurants and major grocers (eg. H-E-B or Walmart).Last but not least, hoping for more improvements by the new management till my next visit.

    Very nice quiet neighborhood and well kept....no noisy children or party animals. We enjoyed 4 nights there and found the staff very friendly as well as other campers and the full time residents. This was our second visit, and we will be making a return.

    Lovely park with all the amenities you could ask for.Friendly/attentive/helpful staff to the resident wildlife. You dont find strangers;you find new friends!So, come enjoy this coastal bend beautiful peaceful park & relax to all the comfort you can enjoy!

    This is our 4th year here. We love the people & the Clubhouse activities. Grass is mowed, outside lighting was fixed pretty quickly on one road, WiFi was out at the Clubhouse where we have to go for a good WiFi connection & it was fixed quickly. Roads recently re-paved. DO wish we had GOOD WiFi at our site & not have to go to the Clubhouse to check/send emails, FB, etc. We DID get a promise from the general manager (?) we talked to at Winter Texan Day that he would definitely follow up on that issue. Suggestion to owners and managers: Dont be afraid to attend some of the events, get to know your folks who are your bread & butter, walk around the park once a day to see whats going on, greet people. :)

    They really have come back from the devastation that the hurricane left. Woody Acres is a great place to spend the winters out of the cold. We have family thats been going there for years.

    Cabin 162A was neat and clean. The front room A/C was very noisy and we turned it off to watch TV. Enjoyed the stay and would recommend in place of a small hotel room.

    I loved it there. Nice laundry house, many activities and just a hop to anywhere you need to go. Staff are very very helpful if you need anything, and very reasonably priced.

    Scenic lake with ducks and waterfowl is one advantage of this RV resort. Friendly residents mix well with winter Texans and tourists. Nice clubhouse.

    This place is great, mostly old people which since we are travelling the country is a nice thing for a park, 2 hottubs a sauna and a heated pool, close to the beach we love it.

    Nice place. We stayed in a cabin. Fantastic view. Clubhouse has pools to play. Roads are unpaved in many places inside.

    Good price, not for loud and crazy people. No mosquitoes. Good electrical connections, no issues. Still recovering from Hurricane Harvey. Open and functional.
