    This is the coziest ranch !! Cabin was perfect with all accommodations to stay comfortably with are kids this holiday. The host was so pleasant and even left a bottle of wine to welcome us. We will definitely return in the future. Highly recommend

    I was a little nervous renting a cabin from Tiny Town. My boyfriend who is 6ft 2, was more nervous then I was!! But the cabin1 was so spacious. Even though there were 6 of us all together, we had more then enough room. The rooms were so inviting, and warm. And the kitchen was huge!! Plenty of pots, pans, and amenities. I would definitely visit the ranch again. And I recommend this place to anyone who needs a quiet, peaceful and warming and clean atmosphere. 💗💗

    Absolutely precious Tiny Home and so cozy! We are definitely recommending them to people we know. Its fully stocked with everything youll need, just bring your own food. Its such a peaceful area to be in and so gorgeous. We will be back here again!

    From the entrance to the ranch, you can tell that the hosts really care about your experience. Small things like lighted paths, hammocks, dart boards, animals, kittens etc make you feel at home. Tiny home #4 was awesome - its brand new, extremely well appointed, well stocked and super clean. Our host Kara was on top of things with communication, asking if we needed anything - it was perfect. The location is amazing, less than a 5 minute drive to main square downtown Hico where all the shops and restaurants are. But the ranch is just far enough out of town, where you feel relaxed and away from everything that you were trying to escape in the first place. Highly recommend it!

    What a wonderful place. I would not hesitate recommending this place to close friends or family. If you are looking for somewhere to go stargazing with zero light pollution this is it.The hosts are amazing people, and have created a wonderful environment to relax and enjoy nature, while still having all the comforts.There were lots of animals to interact with and my kid already wants to go back for another stay.I could go on and on, if you are looking for a quick get away from Dallas/Austin, this is the spot.

    We absolutely loved it here! It was adorable, there was a couple thing that we ran out of in the first night and had to run and get for the next day to last us, (toilet paper) thankful my dad lives right next to where we were, but that didn’t stop us from having a great weekend there and being to have an amazing place to hang out!

    My kids love Tiny Town they have animals the kids get to go and see little walking paths. It is very beautiful and peacefu. The great thing is it isnt far from town so we get to drive into the little town Hico and tour the beautiful historical town. So if you need a break away from the rush of life and see a little peace of quiet and texas history. Tiny town is the place to stay!

    We stayed at Tiny Town and loved every minute of our stay, love the environment of the ranch, and all the amenities, it was peaceful at night, and we thought the tini house idea is a great idea, beats hotels that are so impersonal and sometimes not a place you really want to be, tini house has all the amenities of a home, we felt very comfortable there and had a wonderful time. I would also like to thank personally everyone we met there, every one is so friendly and a big thanks to Kara. We will be back again....

    It was a pleasure to deal with the NEW GSD Ranch. Dealing with Kara and Brian was easy and efficient as they took the time to answer all questions and never rushed. They were very accommodating as there was a change in our plans moving the date 1 week earlier. As for Gus my wife and I cant say enough as he is rapidly learning and becoming the companion we had discussed. We are looking forward to going back for a weekend stay and possibly letting Gus enjoy some schoolin.

    The tiny cabins are so cute with all the modern conveniences. Kara and her husband are great hosts and so responsive to any questions and needs! Our grandkids had a great time helping feed the sheep plus getting to sleep in a cabin loft was an extra treat. If you are looking for some place fun and different, with a little outdoorsy feel you need to check out the Tiny Cabins! We would absolutely stay again!

    GSD Ranch was so much fun for our little ones! They really enjoyed feeding and petting the sheep. Everyone made us feel so welcomed. And the tiny home we were in was so inviting. Would definitely recommend and we cant wait to go back!

    We had our first tiny home experience this week. Im a fairly tall guy, so I was thinking 1 word. UNCOMFORTABLE. But boy I was wrong. The beds were plenty spacious, there were plenty of towels, there was even little mini shampoo and conditioners. Id stay here everyday of the week over a motel/hotel. You can stare at the stars all night, and dont have to worry about unruly people or loud music. And I love that its less then 2 hours from Dallas. Short trip, yet completely different atmosphere. Id give 10 stars if I could.

    We stayed at GSD Ranch over the weekend. The bed was spectacular. I hadnt slept that well in months. The sheets were extra soft, and I really hated to get out of bed. I was skeptical being a tiny home but... wow. 5 stars!!!!

    We stayed here for the weekend. We were in Cabin 1. When I was reassured there was plenty of space, I was hopeful. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised. That cabin is huge! There was so much space. There were 6 adults and 1 kid and we all had our own space. We never ran out of hot water in any shower. Not to mention it is kinda a no phone zone which helped with the decompression of the weekend. Will definitely stay here again on a future trip to Hico. Keep it up. Oh and one last thing, the kitties are adorable and love morning cuddles.

    My travel nursing adventures have taken me to some unexpected fun new places as I search for comfy convenient accomodations. I found the tiny cabins quite brilliantly put together! The ranch critters were good company out in the woods. I sat on the lounger with a glass of wine, music, and the ranch 😺 kitty for some serious relaxation. Everything I needed was there and price was very reasonable, I will never stay in a hotel again. Highly recommended!

    Truly enjoyed this little gem! The outdoors was a nice escape, very peaceful. Loved all the livestock and getting too feed them. Perfect getaway for my husband and I. We would love to return.

    I was nervous about visiting after seeing the previous reviews, but GSD Ranch is under new ownership!! Theyve done a great job. I stayed at the guest house which has been completely renovated. There are longhorns and sheep on the property, the owner had a big bonfire for us, and overall we had a blast. I didnt get a dog from them (I think the new owners are doing breeding services too), but the German Shepherds that were onsite seemed healthy, friendly, and happy. I will definitely be going back next time I am on the way to that part of Texas.

    We stayed a couple of nights in one of the tiny homes. It was clean and nicely furnished, and the loft was decorated with kids in mind. Our daughter loved having a space just for her. There was a nice fire pit with chairs and wood already there, but we didnt get to enjoy it due to a burn ban in effect during our stay. This was a great place to hang out and decompress while we explored the Hico area.

    GSD Ranch is amazing! We bought two puppies from Kara and Brian a girl and a boy. The puppies are simply amazing! Kara and Brian were both wonderful to work with, we were able to visit the puppies anytime we wanted and sit for hours with them. Brian is incredibly personable and knowledgeable of the breed. We would absolutely buy a puppy from them again. The puppies are smart and have wonderful temperaments.

    Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from the city. Lovely to take a day walk or watch the stars at night!! Our toddler loved seeing the animals and fell in love with a little cat. You won’t regret your stay!!

    I stayed in the cutest tiny home it has a spa shower and a full kitchen. I loved looking out the window at the long horn strolling by then I turned and looked out the other window to find silly sheep playing with dogs. My favorite thing to do was relaxing in the hammocks and enjoying the scenery. I can’t wait to stay at the Davis tiny home 4 again . Y’all have to come check this place out definitely worth the time!!

    The GSD ranch has beautiful, top quality, and very healthy German Shepherd Dogs. The place was clean and organized. I loved visiting these really sweet, family GSDs. I recommend you purchase yours from the Ireland family. They gave great advice. Communication is always prompt and clear.

    Wow I had such a powerful experience here! The peaceful quiet hikes and hand fed animals make this place feel really magical! I was almost tempted not to write this review because I wanted to keep this gem all to myself! Really an awesome place, lots of great things to do in downtown Hico too! Highly recommend this short journey from the city. Truly has that feel of old west Texas, the perfect vacation spot!

    I am in love with this ranch! (Almost as much as my daughter is!!) I am so happy I found the perfect aesthetic ranch to put my tiny home on. This ranch is so big and the animals add a real ranch experience. This property doesn’t even compare to any other places I looked at. The big trees everywhere make it feel more private and adventurous. Seeing wild ducks at the pond and exploring around the pond and animals is unbeatable. You can’t find this experience anywhere else. The gorgeous fire pit is perfect for s’mores and family time in the evenings. Location is so close to historic downtown Hico, which I am also in love with!! So cute and quaint. Took some searching, but this place fulfills the dream I had for my tiny home investment.

    Our family of 6 loved our stay away. The owner took our kids to feed the cows. At night we lit the fire pit. They had everything we needed available. We can honestly say we had an adventure staying in a tiny home. Couldn’t have been better!

    There is a place in Hico you must see!I first saw GSD Ranch before the Ireland’s bought it. It was hard to see past mounds of trash, grown up pastures, & tattered house.My suggestion was “burn it”.Sense then they have put a ton of money into it and continue to. The have cleaned up the property, mowed the field, added fences, & remolded the main house. Plumbing and electric has put in for 12 tiny homes.On the 17 acres you will have plenty of space to roam. A huge pond. Pasture for longhorn steer, sheep, alpaca, chickens & of course German shepherds. There is a fire pit made of huge stone that can seat at-least 15.I am working with the Ireland’s on constructing the tiny homes, everything will be first class.Come check out to one of the best up & coming places at the gateway to the hill country.

    The owner was very communicative and did a great job cleaning up the ranch. Easy to book on Airbnb. Great space for kids, great hiking, clean, relaxing and beautiful. There are even alpacas and sheep!

    These are beautiful cabins that are secluded. Befautiful long horn cattle on the property with sheep and a adorable donkey. Everything you could want and the peace and quiet that you need. Far enough out nothing bothers you yet close enough to stores and restaurants.
