Hands-down the best, most beautiful place you could rent in Austin! Location is 10/10 and Chris is an impeccable host, full of personal, local recommendations. I loved chatting with him on the porch and playing with Mika the dog! Im already plotting my return because 1 week wasnt enough! Super comfortable and charming apartment with everything you could possibly need for a wonderful stay. My favourite coffee shop/brunch spot is right on the corner. I love it here! Thanks Chris - and see you again soon!

Fabulous stay at the The Austin Texas House. Highlights: Chris’ knowledge of Austin, recommendations and great conversation, Pumpkin the goat greeting us in the morning, the charm of the place itself - you can tell Chris has put a lot of effort into every detail. The location is also fantastic, nestled in the sweetest neighborhood of South Congress with 1st and SC walking distance away. I’d recommend The Austin Texas House to anyone looking.

Chris was an amazing host, very proactive with providing details, and ensured we had a comfortable stay. He even had a sweet goat named Pumpkin who greeted us in the backyard! This place was a super easy walk to South Congress and Chris made sure we knew all the stores and food to explore so we had a great time. 10/10 would recommend staying with Chris!

Fantastic stay at the Austin Texas House. Cannot recommend highly enough. Chris is an extremely helpful host who clearly loves his hometown - full of great tips and suggestions on things to do and places to eat.House is comfy and a great place to relax. Comfortable bed, all very clean and tidy.And Pumpkin the goat is a super bonus!

Chris is a wonderful host, and his place is a charming, comfortable Austin bungalow. Its location is superb —within walking distance to restaurants and other amenities in the South Congress area. Despite its convenient location, it’s very quiet and peaceful. Chris’s goat and dog nextdoor are a treat too! I hope to stay there again.

This place is the epitome of south Austin! Tastefully kitsch and very comfortable with all the amenities: large streaming tv, rocking ac, toiletries, coffee, pantry staples, gas range, laundry, codes entry. Plus there’s a goat, Pumpkin, who is a total sweetheart! Plenty of parking and a creek flowing by. Very walkable location. And the host Chris is friendly, attentive, helpful, and professional. We’ve stayed here twice and plan to stay again next time we’re in Austin.

Chris was a great host and touched base with me the night before my arrival. He met me at the airbnb and walked me through how the gates/keypads worked. I was very surprised by this touch and I enjoyed the space. It was well equipped and felt very comfortable/ very spacious. I would come here again in a heartbeat. The parking situation and walkability of the area is unbeatable!

Electric bike tour with Chris was fun and informative. We saw a lot of Austin, including the river and lake and downtown. We had delicious BBQ at Coopers which we would never have found on our own.

My daughter and I went to Austin for a mother/daughter trip. We had the most amazing time, and we attribute much of that to Chris incredible hospitality. His place is so adorable and in a great location, but it was truly Chris that made the trip exceed expectations. He should receive an award for Best Airbnb Host. He gave us a tour of Austin, took us on a bike ride, and even drove us to our concert venue so that we wouldnt have to book an Uber or park downtown. We cant wait to go back to Austin and stay in his incredible home again!

My fiancé and I had such a great stay here and are so happy we found it! The house has everything you need, is the perfect size for a couple, and it really is in the perfect location. Chris was a great, considerate host — giving us plenty of great recommendations! Staying here was the best way to experience Austin for the first time, we hope to return soon.

Caught a vibe at the Austin house….and his name is Pumpkin, a majestic goat who lives in the backyard. Super cool house in a perfectly located, funky neighborhood. All the right feels. This was the BEST AirBnB experience I could have ever asked for. We loved Chris, Mokie, and who doesn’t love Pumpkin???!?! The space was so clean and cute! This was the perfect location. We were in walking distance from anything and everything we wanted to do. We enjoyed the quick tour around town provided upon our arrival. We knew exactly how to navigate the area which allowed us maximize our trip. We will be back again soon. Austin was a great destination to visit! Thank you for hosting us.

The Austin TX House is not just a house, it’s an experience. It’s in THE best location to stay in Austin. The famous Greetings from Austin mural is right down the street and you can walk to nearly ALL of the classic food joints—Torchy’s Tacos, Home Slice Pizza, Amy’s Ice Cream, Jo’s Coffee, Bouldin Creek Cafe, the list goes on. If you don’t feel like walking, there are electric scooters all over the neighborhood to rent for a reasonable price. The neighborhood is artsy but not pretentious, active but not loud, and socioeconomically diverse. There’s an EV charging station a few blocks away.The house itself is bright, colorful, and screams Austin in all the best ways. It’s rustic yet modern with plenty of smart storage space and all of the creature comforts we thought we’d miss from home. The linens are high quality, the kitchen is fully stocked, and the bathroom had everything we needed: good smelling soap, shampoo, conditioner, plenty of towels, and a hair dryer. The fridge came stocked with a few bottles of water and beer.Chris, the host, is a laid-back Gen-X renaissance man who lives next door with his sidekicks Mokie the beautiful bearded dog and Pumpkin the goat. They are the most authentic ambassadors to Austin you could ask for. Chris gave us a tour of the house and drove us around town for a quick tour of the city to help us get acclimated and his recommendations were spot-on. He was super friendly and available while also respecting our privacy. We could tell he puts a lot of time and effort into creating the best Austin experience for his guests.If you can’t already tell, we HIGHLY recommend staying here on your next trip to Austin.

Thank you Chris for being such a great host. It was our first time using AirBnb and we were so happy with our stay. Such a cute and homie vibe. The place was super clean and had all the essentials. Place was easy to find and is so close to downtown. We loved it so much, so if and whenever we come back we will be excited to stay here again. I highly recommend staying here.

Southern hospitality at its finest in the heart of south Congress! Within 5-10 min walk you’re either at a Starbucks or South Congress Blvd with tons of shopping, food, bars, etc. The house is incredibly gorgeous, from the outside and throughout the interior. The host even changes the light hues to match blue, my favorite color! Would 200% stay here again!

Wonderful space in the perfect location right in the heart of Austin. Walkable to tons of great restaurants, bike-able to just about everything. So much attention to detail throughout the space. Will definitely be back (if we can snag a spot!)
