My wife and I decided to try and find a vacation home to stay in instead of a hotel during the Covid pandemic and are we so glad we did. Texas Country Guesthouse provided us a special retreat. Not only were the accommodations 5 star, but so were the surroundings. Located a few miles outside of Brenham in cattle country. We were able to sit on the front porch, watch the birds, and hear the occasional livestock bellowing. In the evening there is a large fire pit at the back of the cottage. We had a nice fire going and the owners even came by and sat with us for a while and told us about the local attractions. Every evening we also watched the deer come out onto the property. Our last night there we saw a group of 14.Texas Country Guesthouse is a perfect retreat for 1 or 2 couples or a small family. Lots of back country roads to walk, run, or bike. We will definitely be returning for another special retreat.Mary and Gary

If youre looking for a great getaway in a charming cottage in a rural setting but close to town, look no further! This little gem near Brenham has everything one needs for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well appointed and the new bathroom was fresh with plenty of room. Peggy and John are wonderful hosts. We enjoyed stargazing and great conversation outside at night around the fire. Shopping in downtown Brenham is about a 10 minute drive away. So much fun! I cant wait to go back!

Fantastic place to stay and extremely comfortable and peaceful. John and Peggy are wonderful hosts and have done a beautiful job of restoring the charming guesthouse and providing modern amenities. The house is very spacious, full kitchen, fantastic bathroom with large shower and very quiet. Easy drive to the antique shows in Round Top! I will definitely be back!

Amazing property and hosts! The guest house is warm, welcoming and the perfect spot to relax with wonderful mix of indoor and outdoor amenities. Great location - close to Brenham and Round Top and just a short drive from Austin/Houston. I have enjoyed every second I have had the chance to spent out at the Texas Country Guesthouse.

Such a charming place to stay. Comfortable beds, full kitchen, coffee bar and we loved the fire pit just outside the back door. Can’t wait to go back. Brenham is such a fun little town to go shopping, antiquing, dining and good music venues Thanks John and Peggy❤️

Loved the house and our stay. Super quaint and really enjoyed the history of the home. The fire pit was a huge plus. But the best part was the hospitality of the owners. They made sure our stay was perfect with all the little things;) Will definitely be staying here again!!

We enjoyed biking the country roads, feeding the deer, coffee and shopping quaint Brenham. At night we relaxed under the stars beside the fire, and slept like a baby in the comfortable bed. Can’t wait to return in Spring to enjoy live music at the wineries and downtown Brenham! Inside guesthouse is exquisite and immaculate. Love this place!

This was the best vacation rental I have ever stayed in! Clean, quiet, had anything you could possibly need, and the owners were the greatest. Hope to stay there again.
